| Fuck the free world. As Zyklus soared over Karakura Town, he shook his head in disgust. One last glance at the steel jungle, and he turned his attention to the air in front of him. Just blue skies and summer breezes awaited him. Flapping the black wings that spawned from the blackness tightened over his body, he kept aloft and moved progressively. Metal constructs and paved roads gave way to a ring of trees that grew into a mighty forest, winding dirt roads becoming fewer and fewer between as he departed from civilization. Spotting an open plain, he angled his wings and began to descend. Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of rapid movement. Interested, he locked on to his new target and dropped onto a tree, withdrawing Ubel and hiding his spiritual pressure to watch the show.
A group of Hollow were savagely attacking three shinigami, their sheer numbers and animalistic mindset overpowering the Soul Reaper's. One, much larger than the others, was clearly the leader of the pack, fighting the hardest to prove his grit to the other beasts. Blood was splattered along the ground, staining the green grass and brown dirt with crimson life. Surveying the surroundings, Zyklus began to realize why the plain existed. There were trees there once, but the higher beings had destroyed them in their conquest. Not too shabby. Wait. He was missing the show! Returning his gaze to the fight, he smirked a little as the last Shinigami went down. He wasn't sure if they were dead, but he knew they were incapacitated.
Well, it seemed that it was time to make an entrance. Tightening himself against the tree, he launched himself off of it. Flipping through the air, he landed on his feet in the center of the beasts. Ubel was back, the octopus excrement-colored skin covering his own glinting in the sunlight. Not even bothering to raise his hands, four tendrils shot from his body, striking the hollows. Whipping them around, he slashed and hacked at their forms before drawing them back into him. Spinning hard on his heels, he released them again and let them whip at the enclosing demons. Their white masks shattered against the force of his turmoil. Settling back into a static standing position, Zyklus deactivated his most common technique, allowing his cloak to whip in the wind once more.
Black dust began to follow the trailing path cut by moving air, swirling around him before disappearing. Suddenly, he heard a groan. Hmm? Was there a survivor? He hadn't been very careful, his mind not even once considering the shinigami on the ground. Turning to look, he noticed heavy gouges in a male, but the clear rise and fall of his chest. He was breathing. He was alive. Glancing at the other two, it wasn't even worth turning his head to see their mangled forms. They definitely weren't alive. Well, if that was the case... He should do the honorable thing and give them a proper burial. Grinning, Zyklus stepped over to where one was thrown haphazardly onto the ground and kneeled beside her. She was actually pretty attractive -- or at least, was. Placing his hand on her forehead, he smiled sadly.
A black energy focused on his flesh before transferring to the woman. Standing back up, he watched the Infection spread, turning first the contact point black and then traveling across the rest of her. Once it had reached one hundred percent completion, her body scattered into the wind just like the Hollow's had. Well, that was one down. Pivoting, he faced the other, but didn't get the chance to perform the same function. A blue light had begun to form to the left, roughly twenty feet from the happenings. Staring at it for a moment, Zyklus was suddenly hit with realization. This was Senkaimon! A shinigami was coming? Of course a Shinigami was coming! In fact, it might not be just one, but several! Hmm... A slow grin spread across his face. Maybe things would get interesting. | |

| Kuroi wished that emergencies didn't require him to run so fast. Dropping to all fours and running was less dignified than he liked, and his robes made it awkward. Hollow encounter gone wrong? requesting immediate assistance? Send out Task Force 6, the 3 shinigami squad that Kuroi was "in charge of". Being in 4th squad, that duty was more official, and unenforcable. Unless Kuroi, being vastly stronger than the members of his squad, decided to. But he was content with them thinking they were in charge.
Sandals clapping against stone resounded against the long walls of Serietei, quite abit louder to his ears than to their owners, as the task force was sprinting to the Senkai gate. The damn thing was already open. Kuroi sprinted though, surging ahead with a feline speed.
Then the human world hit him, A grim twilight of Karakura Town, home to many a practice exersise and patrol. Perhaps its anomylies that bring Hollows to the little town, or the Exersises themselves, but either way the attacks on shinigami happen often. Although, what Kuroi saw wasn't a hollow, at least he didn't think. Nor was it Arrancar, whom he would have run from the instant he felt one.
No... this was, another shinigami...
His comrades stepped through the gate, and saw the bodies, one of the greener ones passed out immediately, tripping and skidding to a halt on his face. The other decided to stay concious a while longer, taking in, probably, that the assailant was a shinigami, and that he was surrounded by two of the three patrol, who were his squad. Kuroi's other squadmate decided to nap abit after that...
Kuroi muttered and rolled his eyes... "To damn green...", he looked up at the apparently rogue shinigami standing near the bodies, and said, perhaps as a flight attendant would, "Please step away from the one still breathing, and the corpse... Did you do this?"
