History: As a child, Passion enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her parents. Her father, however, was usually gone most of the time to go to work. Her mother stayed home most of the time. By the age of five, problems between her parents grew for the worse. She would lay awake at night hearing the yelling and screaming of the two adults. Her mother telling her father he isn't home enough. Her father telling her mother to understand it's his job. When she turned ten, her school mysteriously caught on fire. Luckily everyone was able to leave safely. Passion would never forget that day because it felt as if she cheated death. The thoughts of the flames and the heat haunted her dreams for months. Even her parents' yelling couldn't get past the thought of dying in flames. A few months after the accident at her school, her father decided to leave her and her mother. She would always wonder if he would come back.
Her mother worked hard to provide for Passion but soon all of the work was starting to get to her. She would come home in the most horrible moods and sometimes even drunk. Passion was always afraid to leave school and head home. She would spend time just wandering around the town just to spare some time. One day she decided to spend a little too much time. She returned home and saw her mother sitting there motionless. She then was stuck in the left eye with a cleaning mixture that her mother had made in anger. Soon her mother began to cry; not for her daughter’s pain but for the monster that she had became. When one of her teachers noticed the swelling in the eye, she was taken to the hospital and her mother was arrested.
Years went by and it seemed as if Passions life was not going to get any better. Her mother still in jail, her father nowhere to be found, and her eye a horrible reminder of pain and despair. Her foster parents tried their best to get her to like them but it never was the same. When she finally graduated high school, she wanted to leave the town and start a whole new life far away. Before she left she paid her mother one last visit. She and a friend from school were determined to leave and never come back. When they finally found a place they could truly call home, they both felt something they hadn’t felt since they were young; happiness. Though the new town wasn't as safe as they thought. One night when Passion was taking a stroll, she was followed by a mysterious figure. She kept walking knowing that she was being followed, but when she turned around the figure disappeared. She sighed in relief before pausing feeling a sharp pain in her back. The figure had sneaked behind her and had stabbed her multiple times. She fell to the ground seeing the man take her money out of her bag and run off. She struggled slightly seeing that and within minutes died. Her last memory was seeing a single maple leaf landing on her face.
Arriving in Rukongai, Passion couldn't help but fall into a state of confusion. True, this new place was more then she could have ever expected, but there were still so many questions. Though she couldn't help but smile slightly. It was as if those who lived here were living in harmony. While walking she paused seeing children laughing and running around. It almost made her heart melt. Soon a group of men can toward them and began bullying them. Then when she saw one of the children being attacked by the men she knew she had to save them. She ran toward them quickly warning the men to stop. They laughed ignoring her threat and continued to hurt the kids. Passion couldn't help but get really angry.
She grabbed one of the men’s arms and made him let go of the child. She then led the children away knowing that the men would follow. It seemed as if the men were miles away from them. Soon she led the children onto the roof of a home and they all had a great bird’s eye view of the men. Feeling a bit devilish, she told the children to stay low while she grabbed a few things. While jumping from rooftop to rooftop she through various things she could find at the men confusing them. As she scared them off, her and the children had a good laugh.
While getting them down from the roof, she saw a small group of Shinigami waiting down below. At first glance it seemed as if she were in trouble. "What might you name be?" One of them said. "It's... Passion." She said feeling a bit of nervousness in her. "Well, Passion, what you did there was quite impressive. Perhaps you should consider becoming a Shinigami." Soon the group left. Their words buzzed around in her head until she finally decided to become a Shinigami. Once Passion's mind is set on something, she is determined to make it happen.
Playing Sample: Time and space seemed to have stood still for just one moment. The movement of the leaves creating a light rustling noise. Passion closed her eyes feeling the environment around her. She held onto the handle of her sword waiting for the right moment to strike. Silence filled the air and for complete unity could be felt. A single leaf fell from the tree top. He swayed back and forth taunting with every motion. There. That was the moment. The girl quickly opened her eyes and unleashed the force of her weapon toward the leaf. She felt as if the leaf was at her mercy. The leaf split in two and landed safely into her hands. She sat observing the precious leaf and placed it onto the ground. She closed her eyes once more lying back onto the comfortable ground. Her sword lay next to her as if absorbing the beauty of nature as well. "So peaceful.... So calm... So loving...So.... So.." Passion paused and opened her eyes feeling a small rumble in her stomach. She grasped it and gulped with a bit of a laugh. "So hungry......"
