Drinking on the job *Yuui*

The blonde haired shinigami fell out the bar door. Her vision blurring into a maelstrom of colour as she staggered to find her feet. Trying to avoid a particularly grumpy patron as she twisted to the side, losing her balance and landing face first in the dirt. 'Eumph' Un-used to the slur of alcohol, Kaiyo lay, motionless of the ground as noises around her began to rumble. A thud hit the back of her head as her sheathed Zanpakuto was slung onto the ground after her. Her hakama torn slightly and, messily un-done to reveal her vest underneath. Admittedly, she'd seen better days. This indiscretion however, was quite a mystery to the Captain...

*one short hour beforehand*
Kaiyo arched her back against her chair, sliding against the soft material in a big stretch. It had been a long day, so as she usually did, Kaiyo had headed down to a particularly local tavern in Rukongai. As usual, the blonde girl was also the only shinigami in there. So in a bid to draw less attention to herself, Kaiyo had left her Captain's haori at home. Not that it offered any help at all; it was the tavern she usually sank into after a long day, so they knew who she was already. Though Kaiyo always felt lighter without that white coat on, less glaringly obvious even and decidedly more relaxed.

Despite her annoyingly long and paper-work filled day, Kaiyo had not turned to alcohol. Having never been exactly what one might call, 'Able to handle her drink' she'd long since abandoned the idea of a glass of sake after work. Apparently, others hadn't gotten that memo. The short girl had wandered into the dingy pub with her usual grin, oblivious to the snarling glares that followed her and utterly unaware that she had interrupted a particularly fuelled rant against her specific squad. The patron in question was of course quite drunk upon Kaiyo's arrival. So having taken a quiet seat at the back and ordered her usual; the strawberry milkshake, Kaiyo hadn't bothered to notice when the man in question had decided to spike her drink.

Having lost out to her thirst ( a masquerading hunger) the innocent girl had downed two milkshakes in seconds, and the rest had gone downhill from there. In fact, Kaiyo wasn't sure at all what had happened, or what was going to happen with a tavern of angry citizens following her outside.

The lavender haired female had recently finished with her classes for the day, deciding that she'd go relax with a nice bottle of sake at the tavern. What she didn't know was that her plans were never going to happen, though she would meet a woman that she had wanted to meet since she joined the academy. She was still in her academy's white with red trim uniform, while her sealed zanpakuto rested behind her left hip. Her hands were tucked deep within her pockets, while she slowly made her way down the street. As usual, she was neglecting to hide all of her spiritual pressure. After all it caused the other bodies the roamed the streets, to quickly move out of her way. Most of the villagers of Rukongai knew to stay away from the fair skinned female, though it wasn't like she had done any wrong to them. It was because she couldn't completely control her chilling spiritual pressure, that made them flee from her.

The sight of the fleeing villagers slightly annoyed Yuui, though it was something she had grown accustom to. As she neared the tavern she usually went to have a drink at, her form would pause as she watched a blond haired female stumble out of the tavern. Her head would shake a bit as she thought ' Some people just can't handle their booze'. Slowly she would begin to walk again as the blond female hit the ground face first, usually she would have just stepped over the woman. leaving her to sleep it off, but that was until she watched her zanpkauto get tossed out afterward. Only to be followed by a group of angry villagers, which were now blocking her way into the tavern. The scene began to cause the lavender haired female to grow annoyed, she wasn't one to stand up for the weak at all. But this case was different, the poor girl was most likely passed out drunk. And god knows what they were planning to do with her, since she new at least half of the customers that came to this tavern didn't care for shinigamis.

Quickly she would moved to stand in front of the other female, her hands still remaining deep within her pockets. While her deep emerald hues would glare at the miniature mob. " Oi, why don't you go back inside and leave this drunk alone." She almost growled. She could hear a few of the villager mumbling.'' It's another shiningami'' one said, only for another to reply. ''No, no that one is just a student, I bet she can't even release that sword of her's''. Their comments only made Yuui grow more annoyed by the minute, which caused her spiritual pressure to rise as she spoke to the villager." I don't need my zanpakuto to wipe the floor with you pathetic lot, all I need are these." And as she said that, her hands would slide from her pockets. Only to move them in a boxing position, while a chilling air seemed to swirl around her and the passed out blond.

Ignorant of the academy student just inches from her, Kaiyo tried to push her body back up to the ground. The alien feeling of being drunk threw her body out of whack; so standing was a little more wobbly than it should have been. Still, Kaiyo managed to rise to her feet, and vaguely brush down her robes. The short girl squinted slightly at the men as they flinched, slowly catching wind of of the other woman's cold reiatsu.

A little more aware this time, the short Captain strained her neck to the side, to get a better look at the academy student in question. Even in her drunk stupor, Kaiyo noticed her reiatsu first. Then the boxing stance. The girl's eyes grew wide with the realisation of the fight. Her arms thrown up in the air as she flailed around for a bit. Deciding the best tactic would be to surround the attackers as she flash stepped onto the roof the the tavern...She's been aiming for the doorway, but it was close enough. 'Let's double team, icey- academy- student!' she cheered down to Yuui, jumping into the air just to emphasise her fighting spirit more. The pub patrons were less impressed, though a few of them knew Kaiyo to be a Captain, they clearly still doubted her combat ability.

An extreme air of focus dropped onto Kaiyo, she too had left her Zanpakuto down on the floor, though the kind stranger appeared to be blocking the attackers from it- for now. Kaiyo raised her guard, her large eyes swirling with a golden light as the smile faded from her face. Careful not to tumble off the slanted roof, Kaiyo slowly slid her right foot backwards into stance. The Captain's next brilliant idea was somewhat inspired by the kinda woman's reiatsu release, except Kaiyo's didn't exactly work out as well.

A shock-wave of golden light exploded around the short girl as she released her own reiatsu. Dropping not only the majority of the patrons, but also a healthy number of bystanders to the ground. This was however, just for a brief moment, before Kaiyo fell off the roof of the tavern. Flipping her little agile body before landing briefly on her feet, only to fall straight back onto her back for a nap. At least her reiatsu was sealed again though. Yes, Kaiyo was making a fantastic first impression so far.

She would hear the female behind her beginning to stir behind her, though for the moment she would glance back towards the blond. At the moment she was to busy keeping and eye on the angry villagers, only to notice one coming straight at her. The male would swing his balled up fist towards Yuui' face, only for the lavender haired female to dodge it easily by leaning to the left. Her form then dropped a bit as she drove her fist into the males midsection, sending him flying back into the group of villagers. The smirk on Yuui's pale lips began to grow, finding it amusing that there was some still willing to challenge her. " Alright, whos next?" She said in her cocky tone, before letting a soft chuckle part her lips. She figured after that little display, that the rest would not try something so stupid.

A few more decided to charge toward Yuui, though she would make quick work of them as well. She only paused as she felt the body behind her move with such speed, and here she thought the blond had been to drunk to move. she couldn't worry about that for long, since the net thing she felt was one of the villagers fist connect with her jaw. Which only cause the Yuui to grow more annoyed, her spiritual pressure spiked in retaliation. Before grabbing the male by the front of his shirt, the grin on her pale lips grew more sadistic as she stared down at the man. Only to shift her form to throw the male down the street, before she heard the blond female's words. Yuui would keep her back turned to the female, while responding to her." I don't need help from some drunk Shin---" She then fell silent when she overheard once of the villagers mention that the blond was actually the taichou of the Eleventh Division.

Yuui would spin around around on her heel to stare up at the female with her emerald hues, only to be brought down to her knees from Kaiyo releasing her spiritual pressure. Yuui's hues would widen in shock at how heavy the air had become, Though, she refused to allow the suffocating weight knock her out like it had done to the angry patrons. Never had she felt such a spiritual pressure before, almost becoming entranced by the smaller female's presence. Though, it wouldn't last for long as she watch the female begin to fall off the roof. Her recovery land was quite impressive, but before Yuui could say a word she watched the Kaiyo fall backwards. Yuui moved quickly to catch the female, before she could hit the ground, only to see that she had once again passed out. Chuckling at the taichou she would shake her head, before noticing that a few of the patrons began to stir. Since Kaiyo spiritual pressure had faded away, sighing Yuui would stand straight, stilling holding Kaiyo in her arms.

Seconds later the taichou of the Eleventh Division was thrown over Yuui's shoulder, quickly being carried away from the tavern and the slowly waking patrons. Her chilling spiritual pressure was still easily felt swirling around both of them, though it was a bit lower now that they were away from the angry mob. Yuui was moving as fast as she could while carrying the smaller female, her emerald hues glancing back at Kaiyo." How bothersome, you need to learn how to hold your sake Taichou." She said, though she doubted that Kaiyo was awake enough to hear her comment. After about fifteen minutes, Yuui would begin to slow down as she made her way to the hut she was staying in. While once inside she would gently lay Kaiyo down on her back, before moving to go get a cool rag to lay upon her forehead. Returning a moment later with a small bucket of water and a tattered rag, frost seemed to cling to the rim of the bucket as she set it next to Kaiyo. Grumbling at the fact she was now taking care of the smaller female, she'd dip the rag in the cool water before laying it across Kaiyo's forehead.

Kaiyo was out cold, oblivious to her surroundings, and who was carrying her as her body battled off the effects of alcohol. Her small frame made her look all that more vulnerable in such a state; Kaiyo disliked even giving off such an impression of herself. Still, her slurred dream was quite abruptly broken when the wet rag was gently placed on her forehead. The girl's body jolted upright as her eyes screamed at the shock. Certain reactions had slowly been drummed out of Kaiyo; screaming was one of them. That was only usually though. The Captain scrambled back along the floor, stumbling up to her feet and straight into her fighting stance before she paused.

Slowly realising that things were a little different since she'd fallen off the roof. Kaiyo peered curiously at the academy student with the bucket next to her. It seemed like a safe bet to assume this girl had kidnapped her, but not in the bad way. A few rogue droplets of water had splashed onto Kaiyo's hand when she'd woken up, her head still felt quite damp as well. 'Erm...' she thought out-loud, her eyes turning directly to Yuui as she eyed the girl up and down. That was another habit of Kaiyo's, she tended to size people up for a fight when first meeting them. Not because she wanted to fight everyone she met, but more because she was so used to being combat ready that she liked to have a vague idea of possibly enemies.

Very aware that her Zanpakuto was missing from her hip, the short girl smiled weakly at Yuui. 'Morning' she beamed, trying to sound as casual as possible. Kaiyo shook her head slightly, deciding that she was no longer under any effect of alcohol as the swayed slightly. 'It's nice to meet you, high-reiatsu-academy-student-who-i-think-carried-me-here' she added, practically shouting as she gave an over-exaggerated salute with her words. Yes, very casual.
