Out for a night stroll (Open)

Draylon walked out into the open field, feeling the cold wind on his face, took a deep breath in, then out. I should do this more often. Draylon stretched and yawned, then looked up into the sky at the glowing moon. "Wow... it's really beautiful tonight. He stood still for a while taking in the cold night breeze once more, watching as the grass rippled across the dark green grass and the leaves and branches on the trees rippled in the nearby forest.

He then walked up the hill to the top and laid down arms behind his head, watching the stars and the moon and the light reflecting off the clouds. "You certainly can't relax like this in the Rukongai, makes me really glad I came to the academy..."

As the cold wind whistled in the night, Bishamon was also on a relaxing stroll, he took a leisurely walk up the hill, this was his least favorite part of the journey, as it required effort, "what a pain" he mutterd to himself. Lately he has got into the habbit of watching the stars, so he manged to make his way to the top of hill, after complaining to himself most of the way.

He took a look up at the stars, thinking that it was the most relaxing thing to do, he was then about to take his favorite spot on the hilltop, then he saw a figure perched in his favorite spot - Bishamon preferd not to socialise but he already saw this man glance at him, so he fet abliged to greet him, "hello there" he said reluctantly whilst he put on an awkward smile.

Absorbed in the night sky, Draylon almost missed the man approaching. As he glanced over he saw a tanned man, as he watched the man make his way up to the top of the hill. As the man took a good long look at the stars, Draylon looked up as well, enjoying the night sky.

When the man looked down, he noticed Draylon, he then smiled, and said "hello there".

Draylon stared at the man for a moment and said "Sup, call me Dray. You?" Draylon then broke eye contact and started gazing up at the stars once more, enjoying their beauty and watching them shine against the darkness of the sky.

Bishamon got abit closer so he could see the man he was talking to, when he got close enough to see this man, he heard him say "Sup, call me Dray. You?" Bishamon thought about his response as he didn't want to appear to formal so he kept his awkward smile on his face and replied "my name is Bishamon, but call me Bish" why did i say that, now hes going to call me 'Bish' he thought to himself.

He got a little closer to Dray and took a seat on a soft patch of grass near him, he once again looked at him, he took a breath as he let himself get absorbed into the stars.

"so what brings you out here? i haven't seen you around the academy, even though im asleep most of the time" he asked as he chuckled to himself.

Draylon watched as the man got closer and sat down, Bish? sounds a bit too much like Bitch for my tastes, it would make it awkward for me if not him. As he was thinking this, Bishamon said "So what brings you out here? I haven't seen you around the academy, even though im asleep most of the time."

Dray pondered the question for a second, "Well if you're asking why i am here in particular, it's because i wanted to see the stars and relax. If you're asking why i am at the academy, it's because i thought it would be interesting, and the reason you haven't seen me around is because I'm new."

Dray glanced back over at Bishamon, and something caught his eye. "Two blades? Never seen that before."

Bishamon laughed "kinda a stupid question really" he siad, he looked down at his two zanpakuto, and drew them as they caught the moons reflection, he held them out infront of him for a momment "heh, yeah i've been told its a bit of a rairity on a few occasions, but there very bothersome they wont tell me their names or talk to me at all really, i thought they said something to me once but probably me just daydreaming again" he replied as he sheathed his two blades.

He looked down at Dray's sword "i bet my small blades would shatter if they went against your's, thats a wakizashi, right?" he asked innocently as he smiled.

Dray looked down at his blade and drew it from it's sheath, wielding it reversed so the blade extended from the end his pinky was on rather than the thumb end. The silver of the blade catching the rays of the moon. "Maybe, but I use it defensively. Besides I'm not really that good with it to be honest."

Dray looked over back at the daggers, "Besides aren't those used to deflect attacks and strike? It seems like you would have the advantage there, because the wakizashi is a smaller blade, and because of the way I wield it, I wouldn't be able to get much power behind it, so you would have the advantage. However if you came up against a Nodachi, those things would be useless against it but i would still be able to deflect. So they both have their advantages and disadvantages." Dray shifts his wrist so that the light from the moon reflected in the blade shifts.

Bishamon was listening to Dray's every word, it is rare he has an intelligent conversation with someone who is still at academy level, he laughed once again, Bishamon wasn't good at taking compliments of any sort.

"yeah, i can't really argue with your logic their, your quite a sharp one arn't you, but then again im not that good at fighting, abit too much of a pain for my liking" he said with the same smile remianing on his face.

He reached down his Shihakusho "now enough serious talking, lets have a drink" he said with a cheeky grin, as he pulled out a bottle of sake, and took a large gulp of the drink and offered it to Dray.

Dray glanced over at Bishamon when he laughed. Then listened as he said, "yeah, I can't really argue with your logic their, your quite a sharp one aren't you, but then again I'm not that good at fighting, a bit too much of a pain for my liking"

"I don't mind fighting so much, as long as i have a reason to fight." He sheathed his sword and glanced over at Bishamon as he rifled through his Shihakusho and pulled out a jug of sake, and said "Now enough serious talking, lets have a drink." Took a large gulp and offered some to him.

"Sorry, I can't stand the taste of alcohol, but i will join you in a drink." Dray pulls out a small bottle from a pocket. "Cheers mate." Dray takes a deep drink from the bottle, and lets out a sigh. "I keep pissing off one of my Instructors because i don't like wearing my Shihakusho, i prefer to wear my normal clothes." Dray picks at his Scarf. "I really only wear my Shihakusho when I'm attending classes. Still drives that Teacher nuts though." Dray chuckles, and takes another swig from his bottle and looks up at the moon once more.

Bishamon looks at Dray as he dismissed his offer of alchol and pulled out a small bottle from his bottle "heh, suit yourself more for me" he said happily and took another large gulp "cheers!" he said as Dray did.

He listend to Dray as he talked about his scarf, Bishamon leaned back in the long grass and looked at the moon like Dray "yeah, the instructors can get abit picky about those sort of things...but when we graduuate im sure you will be able to wear that scarf" he said before taking another gulp of sake.

Their was a silense for about a minute as they both stared up into the sky, Bishamon yawned, "if you don't mind me asking, have you got any ambitions or goals after you graduate?" he asked as he slowly closed his eyes awaiting Drays answer.

"I haven't really thought about it that much, but i suppose as long as i have something i would enjoy to keep me occupied it doesn't really matter that much now does it." Dray holds his sheathed sword into the air, "Though I get the feeling my future with be determined by what powers this thing holds in store for me."

Bishamon awaited Dary's reply as he paused then heard Dray say "I haven't really thought about it that much, but i suppose as long as i have something i would enjoy to keep me occupied it doesn't really matter that much now does it." Bishamon nodded his head in approval and listend to Dray go on to say "Though I get the feeling my future with be determined by what powers this thing holds in store for me." Bishamon sat up.

He laughed loudly "well said!" he replied with a huge grin on his face "i will drink to that!" he announced and took another huge gulp of his sake, Bishamon was inspired by what Dray said, he then held his two sheathed blades in the air, "hmph, i wonder what you guys have in store for me?" he poundred it for a minute with a serious face. He then grinned once again "exciting isn't it? how your sword can completley change like that" he said as he went into a deep thought over the prospect of achieving shikai.

"Yeah it is, I'm curious for what mine has in store for me as well..." Dray sets his sheathed blade down and sits up, then stands up. "I should probably get back, I need my sleep and it will take me a little while to get back, and it's getting a little chilly."

Dray stretches then puts his sword at his belt once more. "It was nice talking with ya, see you around." Then Dray ran off at full speed, heading back to the dorms.

Bishamon took a small sip from the sake bottle as he watched Dray run of and dissapear into the night. "What an intresting guy" he said to himself he lay on his back and looked at the stars their wasn't a cloud in sight "what a beautiful sight" he then pressed the sake bottle to his lips to take another drink, he then placed his hand on the bottom of the bottle and gave it a gentle tap, then he withdrew the bottle from his lips and held it up infront of him "well...thats a pain" he placed the empty bottle on the floor, and took a firm breath "well there is no reason to stay here" he stood up and took one last long gaze at the stars, he turned around and took a step forward, his front leg then gave way and brought him too a knee, he laughed loudly "guess im abit drunk!" he then stummbled down the hill crashing into every possible rock and tree in sight. He managed to reach the bottom of the hill, he sighed "it appears i am lost, what a bother" he then staggerd towards a nearby bench, and lay down on it, as he slowly closed his eyes as he went into a deep sleep.
