| Just as he thought to himself, he saw something he had been waiting for. "There!" His eyes darted towards the hovering kidou. The 11th squad members turned towards the direction of the reiatsu and saw the floating orb. "Rise from the ashes, Suzaku!" Tatsuya shouted as they were distracted by Junko's sudden appearance. The members turned to see Tatsuya release his shikai and jump into the air as Junko called his name. "Hinote Soujuu!" Tatsuya raised his arms into the air and created a large boulder sized ball of fire. He launched the large fireball towards the gate and watched as the combined attacks of Junko and himself collided with the Senkaimon, sending debris and dust into the air. Tatsuya and all the members were thrown back by the blast force, which caused Tatsuya to crash hard on the ground. Slightly dazed, Tatsuya looked up at the gate and saw exactly the result he had hoped for. A large section of the gate had been blown open. He got up as quickly as he could and flash stepped next to Junko. Tatsuya was a bit out of breath, he had used more than half his reiatsu to create that fireball. "Come on, it's not over yet." He began to run towards the demolished gate as the 11th squad members began to get up from the ground. Just as he thought they would make it to the gate, dozens of 2nd and 3rd squad members surrounded them in a wide circle. Tatsuya immediately stopped and and got into a defensive stance. "I hope you still got some energy left." He softly commented to Junko. Tatsuya knew capture was not an option, he was either going to escape or die trying. Only shifting his eyes from person to person, he waited for them to make the first move.
Meanwhile Sumiko heard the gate being hit with a large blast and knew Tatsuya was there. She quickly used shunpo in that direction and arrived just around the corner after Tatsuya and Junko were surrounded.

| Junko felt her wings dissolving, her shikai resolving. She was about to pass out from lack of power...
So when she found herself out of shikai, barefoot unarmed, out of power, and basic armor to protect her, and about a year younger for her trouble; She wasn't going to back down.
"No thing left in the tank, but a few tricks up my sleeve." She was even bleary eyed now, it and maintaining the orb above her took her concentration, as vast as it was, just to maintain.
As the orb targeted the group of people closest to the gate, it grew crecent like, and fired.
It was a strong shot, if misplaced. Instead of landing midpack of in the people between her and the gate, it landed more torward herself, impacting the closest people. Who subsequently included herself, and the shinigami preparing to shoot Junko with kido, and a few others, who flew backward into the others.
"Heh, I can keep crap like that up all day you chumps. LETS GO!!!"

| The thunderous explosion as the two flamed combined shook him from his trance. He was watching the whole scene before him and yet saw nothing at all. It all seemed like it was happening far away. Like he wasn't the one wielding the matter shattering weapon, it was someone else. He was but a member of the audience of the grand play going on before him. A spectator. It was odd how the sound around him seemed to fade as his heart began to jackhammer even faster in his ears. Arawn took a sharp intake of air. Somehow he had forgotten to breathe. He probably didn't notice that he had also forgotten to blink. He saw everything too afraid to blink, too afraid he would miss his chance. Yet for all his fear his hands didn't tremble, Arawn was a rock in a sea of chaos. The man shouting as Tatsuya knocked them back, the smoke as it rose from the destroyed gate, Junko's miss-targeted spell. Little by little it was all slowing down around him. This was the moment he had waited for, this was his time
In this stand still world his motion didn't seem impeded in any way. His footfalls made no sound as he ran along the wall for a better vantage point. The brutish men were in the way. There was no need to have their lives on his conscience as well. His conscience. Arawn snorted in disgust. He dismissed the thoughts, as he wavered time sped up. The sounds became a whisper. No, don't think, just focus. His brain switched off again and instinct took over. There was a tingle in the back of his head and the stopped. This was it, he didn't know how, but he knew it this was the spot. He'd moved almost to the other side of the area. How had he covered such a distance so quickly? Instinct didn't know it just did, it had a purpose and it could overcome anything. Instinct was action, and this was it's moment to shine. Arawn relinquished control and watched. The rifle was already set in his hands once again, the butt braced against his arm. It was like he shot like this all the time. Like he was a professional marksmen, an expert of death. The sound had vanished again the encroaching whispers and time was had completely stopped. The weapon's charge was ready as the eye lined up the targets. His vision was so sharp, he could see each individual hair on Tatsuya's head. Instinct could do what Arawn could not. His hand shifted slightly perfecting the angle.
*CLICK*
His finger had pulled the trigger and the end began. Although he couldn't see it he could feel the power build in the rifles generators. He could feel it the circuit fire and the energies cascade as they reached the special frequency. Then the energy gathered in the resonance chamber next into the firing channel. And then there was light, a crisp clean light, pure white energy. Such a beautiful light for such a grim task. There was no sound as the light escaped the barrel only the hiss of air being eaten. The denigration weapon ate everything, the air was no exception. The light consumed the area in a wide arc. But Instinct had aimed true. The beam washed over Tatsuya and Junko and flared brightly. There it was over. Junko and Tatsuya and a large chuck of the tiled flooring. Now true silence engulfed the area, the last sound was a pop as the air rushed in to fill the of all the light had taken. Those that had been fighting looked squarely at the man on the wall. The beam had cut a clear route to the culprit. They were too stunned to speak. Arawn's hands released the weapon. It fell to the ground from his perch. The device shattered on the ground, but Arawn didn't notice. He didn't feel the cool wind as it rustled his uniform, he stared at the empty space. Instinct was gone. It's task complete it had retreated. Now there was only conscience and it brought guilt and remorse. Death was something he should be used to in his line of work. Battling monsters lives are often lost, but in all his life he had never taken a life until now. His stomach lurched, and it's contents pushed their way up, and he gagged. Somehow he kept it all down. He hopped down from the wall to the ground. His landing further crushed the rifle shattering it more, but if Arawn had noticed he would probably had stepped on it more. Instead he crossed walked towards the exit. The fighters rushed forward they gave a hearty shout as if he had vanquished some great monster. There were pats on the back, and people grabbed his hand to shake it, laughing like fools. Arawn wanted to yell at them, he wanted to.....kill them? He retched and the men quickly moved away from him. Stepping over the mess he continued to walk, he stopped and turned to look at the large cut in the stone where Tatsuya and Junko had ceased to be. His hands were trembling now more than before. His eyes blurred as more tears formed. He had to get out of there. With focus he shunpo'd away. The destination was unknown, only that he couldn't be there. Someplace far away, very far away. He had done at least twenty flash steps before feeling tired. Then he ran, he kept running without looking back. The people and buildings around him a blur, he wasn't in Seireiti anymore, but he didn't notice or care. He pushed by men, women, and children without seeing them. Finally he stumbled and fell sliding to a stop. He rose to his knees and stared at the sky and wept.
