Another Surprise?! The Making of a Rival (Open)

Of course, the teachers at the Academy had to have withheld one last piece of information from him. On the day of his supposed Secret Graduation, he had been told that it had been rescheduled another half week forward. Why? Because the Academy had decided to test everyone that they had chosen for the graduation one last time by sending them to Karakura Town to an area where they would have to find and defeat a Hollow. They had guards stationed there to keep out the ones that were too strong, and so they were sending in the Students to complete this final test. They had said they expected each of them to pass with flying colors, and Kyro did believe they had meant it. So, he had agreed to perform the test. As did everyone else. Now, here he was, in the midst of the bodies of his fellow students, all of whom had been about to graduate from the Academy. He counted each of them, and saw that he was the only one still alive. That means that the guards had failed, and that Kyro was easy prey. He drew his Zanpakutou and began to explore the area.

He shook as he walked, since he couldn't sense Reiatsu yet, and knew that a Hollow capable of something like this most likely was. He slowly moved away from the bodies of his fellow Students, heading towards the edge of the Human-clear area. If he could escape, chances were he'd be able to find some sort of help, as he had heard that Humans with strange powers and high Spiritual Pressure could be found in the real world. He began to run, ignoring the fact that doing so would only draw the Hollow closer to him. He nearly made it to the edge, when something landed, hard, on the floor behind him. Fear shook him, but he turned to face the danger, and found himself staring up at a rather large Hollow. Its arrow-tipped tail whipped back and forth, and one of its arms was shaped like a sword, and could no doubt be used in much the same way. His mask looked down upon Kyro calculatingly and fiercely. This one was stronger than those that had been promised the Students. He would try his best, but doubted he'd be able to face down this Hollow on his own.

"Let the swallow chirp at its finest and emit its power! Hado No. 3, Crimson Strike!" cried the Student, and a red blast of Reiatsu fire off at the Hollow before him. Kyro spun his blade, swallowed his fear, and charged towards the Hollow. He would make the first strike, or he would end up running in fright.

Raizen had thought that, like the other Students, this pathetic Shinigami would go down easily. However, he hadn't been expecting to be blasted straight on in the chest by a Hado and then charged at immediately, without the Student even allowing Raizen to recover. Luckily, the Hado hadn't done any damage, and he had to do little of the recovery part. This Student was thinking more smartly than the others had been, and he knew that could be a bit dangerous. Raizen drew his blade-arm back, having been charging Reiatsu to finish off this last Student at the greatest opportunity. He didn't enjoy actually having to exert himself now.

"Rīpingu Kyōda!" cried Raizen, bringing his blade-arm crashing down upon the Student below him. As it fell, the Student rolled out of the way and performed several thrusts in the Hollow's direction. They weren't exactly powerful, but there were several of them, and they caused Raizen to step back a couple of steps. Growling in annoyance, he brought his blade-arm around to slice the Student in half. However, the little whelp planted his feet firmly and caught Raizen's attack. Cursing in anger, Raizen brought his blade-arm back and slammed it into the Student's Zanpakutou once, then twice. The Student held firm, though, even after being knocked back several paces. Raizen, angry, began to charge Reiatsu into his teeth. If he had to use his more powerful technique, then he would.

"Hone Kuranchā!" he growled, and then he brought his jaw down towards the Student, hoping to engulf him and then crush him into nothing with his teeth, as was the purpose of the technique. He had actually been angered now, and so he wouldn't stop until the pathetic Student was dead. Not anytime soon, and definitely not now...

Hageshii was stumbling trhough Karakura town, it was full of food... Food that was in him, and food that was not, he had already eaten today, but he was still hungry, as was the insatiable desire for food. His massive spritual pressure lumbered torward a pair of morsels... and he opened his mouth, a red glow coming from his mouth, and a his spiritual pressure spiked, his presense now noticeable to everything around him, and he fired a blast of lightning from his gaping maw, the crimson lightning ripping a whole in the street, aiming to obliterate the warring pair of scraps.

Kyro would have been killed if he hadn't rolled out of the way of the Hollow's huge jaw, and he watched as the attack shattered the ground at impact and the Hollow's face dug a few feet into the ground. The Hollow pulled his face back, in pain, but only had time to leap out of the way of a blast of lightning that came from out of nowhere. Kyro looked up in the direction it had come from as he, too, leapt out of the way. He turned towards the Hollow and aimed two fingers in its direction. "Thrust!" he yelled, and a blast of Reiatsu shot through the air and connected with the Hollow in the chest. However, since he was only a Student, the Kidou looked like it had no effect whatsoever.

Kyro then turned towards the original Hollow and blasted him with Thrust several times once again. He brought his Zanpakutou forward, and it connected with his foot, barely slicing it, and yet still causing the larger Hollow to take a couple of steps back. He turned and bolted towards the edge of the cleared area once more. If he could make it past that line, then his Reiatsu would be able to be sensed by others with high Reiatsu. He nearly reached it, when an arrow-tipped tail wrapped around Kyro and yanked him backwards, where he was slammed into the ground by the larger Hollow's fist. He let out a cry of pain, and then rolled onto his back and forced himself to his feet.

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo No. 9, Geki!" cried Kyro, and instantly, a beam of red Reiatsu engulfed the Hollow and paralyzed him. Kyro stood and raced away from the two Hollow...

Tatsuya stepped through the senkaimon into the supposed training area to see several students dead on the ground. He was sure that all of them were dead until he felt three different reiatsu signatures, two hollow and one shinigami. "Crap, just one left. Looks like another hollow showed up too." He thought back to first receiving the initial distress call. He was kept on standby for the class, and usually they never had to go out, but this time was one of those rare occasions. He quickly used shunpo to head in the direction of the trio and thought about situation. He immediately thought of the worst possible outcome after feeling the reiatsu of one of the hollow as it was easily stronger than his own. With two of them, it was surely not going to be an easy fight, especially since he never encountered a hollow with such high reiatsu. It didn't take long for Tatsuya to arrive on the battle scene, immediately taking a position between him and the humanoid-like hollow as the kidou the boy had cast wore off. "If you can move boy, get the hell out of here." He ordered while keeping watch of the two hollows. He wanted to stay between him and them at all costs to let him escape. Upon arriving, he could quickly tell which of the two were stronger and kept most his attention focused on it. "You two are gonna have to deal with me now." He stated as he drew his zanpakuto and fire began to rise around him as he released his reiatsu to try and scare them off. He'd rather not fight both of them if he could avoid it.

Hageshii's eyes picked up that he missed his bestial mind sensing nothing much other than the fight in front of him. The morsels were fighting, one drawing blood from the other with a shiny stick... And then another arrived... this one seeming abit tastier... the scrap also picked up a shiny stick and fires started around him... But Hageshii met the raise in spirutal pressure with his own indomitable one, and powered up his lightning blast...

Raizen growled as first, another Hollow joined the battle, and then another Shinigami, this one far stronger than the guards that had been stationed to protect the Students. Raizen began storing Reiatsu into his arm, ready to strike down the Shinigami with a single strike, that way he wouldn't be able to use whatever abilities he had against him. He brought his blade-arm back into the air, and prepared to bring it crashing down upon the Shinigami standing before him. Hunger began to creep back upon him at the prospect of possibly eating such a powerful Soul Reaper, and so a surge of Reiatsu shot into his blade-arm.

"Rīpingu Kyōda!" he roared, and his blade-arm came down. He felt it connect with something, but until he was to pull his arm back, he wouldn't be able to tell whether or not he had struck the Shinigami or simply the ground. So, he did so now, and looked down upon the aftermath of his strike as the dust dissipated. A snarl began to creep across his face...

"Tsk," Tatsuya grunted as his attempt to scare off the hollows failed. He maintained his composure as the stronger hollow raised it's reiatsu. "So much for that idea." He thought before feeling the other hollow channeling it's reiatsu as well. His gaze averted from the stronger to the other as it roared out and charged at Tatsuya. He moved slightly out of the way of it's attack without any trouble. "It's good that your slow." He commented before kicking his leg at the hollow in an effort to slam it against the other.
