Strength Through Will... But Will Alone? (Solo, not an App)

"May the black sounds of those that have felt death emit and destroy; Hado No. 7, Black Lightning!" cried Kyro, and a blast of Reiatsu shot from his hand, black in color. It ripped through the room, but then redirected itself and hit the floor, causing a black scorch mark to become burned into the ground. Sweat beaded his brow, and the rest of him as well, but he couldn't stop yet. He would keep going until he had no Reiatsu left to use. He'd been training all day, and nearly all night, to make his Kidou skills stronger, even though he didn't know all that many. He was becoming tired, and that was effecting his aim. He would have to work on having good aim even when he was exhausted. He added that to his incredibly long mental list.

"Thrust!" cried Kyro, shooting a small blast of Reiatsu at another practice dummy, this one clear. He turned towards another, keeping his finger up. "Thrust!" he cried once again, and another blast shot from his finger. He turned towards the last target and repeated the process once more. Then, he turned back to the first target and saw that he had struck the side of its head. It hadn't been where he'd been aiming, but it had still hit. He turned to the second target, and saw that it had skimmed it's shoulder. That would do practically nothing in battle and, annoyed, he turned to the last target, which he saw he'd completely missed. Angry with his failure, he moved over to the side of the courtyard and sat, gasping to regain his breath. It was still the middle of the night, and so there was no one else out there with him training. That didn't matter to Kyro; he had to increase the power and accuracy of his Kidou at all costs, even though he was fairly good when it came to Kidou already.

Kyro slowly pulled himself to his feet again, and moved back to the center of the courtyard, ready to continue. His thoughts became focused on his task, and he felt another wave of adrenaline go through his body. "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat! Bakudo No. 10, Disintegrating Circle!" he cried, and a circle of Reiatsu appeared in front of his hands, which he was holding out before him. Tendrils of Reiatsu reached out and gripped the practice dummies, and he succeeded into removing the head of two of them before the tendrils dissipated. Kyro slumped to the ground, completely worn out. He couldn't stop yet, he knew, but at the same time, he couldn't force himself to stand back up. He was able to force himself to stand, but he highly doubted he'd be able to continue with his training. However, just as he was able to collapse from exhaustion, something seemed to surge through him, giving him a sudden burst of energy.

"May the tears of those killed, of those harmed by those of wickedness deliver their judgement upon those around! Hado No. Ten, Rain of Pain!" he yelled, and the Kidou took effect with force, destroying all of the Practice Dummies within range. Surprise shook him to the core; something had aided him, and it hadn't come from outside. It had come from some reserve of power inside of him that he didn't know existed. Confusion and then excitement overtook him, and so he proceeded to destroy the rest of the Practice Dummies that he had set up with Thrust, blowing holes in each of them. He stepped back to survey his work, and then grinned as he saw that each attack had hit its target. Suddenly, the sudden burst of energy seemed to leave him, and Kyro staggered back against the wall surrounding the courtyard.

"What.... was that?" he gasped, and then he slid down into a sitting position. His entire body was sore, but he knew for sure that what had just happened wasn't his imagination, proven by the fact that the aftermath of the Kidou he had used was still lying before him. He shook off his sudden weariness and stood, knowing that since he had the chance, he needed to catch at least a few hours of sleep. He forced himself to head to his room, and then fell on his bed and thought. What had that sudden burst of energy been? That had never happened to him before. Figuring he would be able to ask one of his teachers about it tomorrow, he allowed his eyes to slip shut, and he drifted off into a world of darkness, dreams, and a strange calm.
