Kyro yawned and leaned back against the wall, watching the current sparring matches with feigned interest. In truth, he was only there to see if there was anyone he felt like sparring with. It had been awhile since he'd participated in a match, and it felt like, to him, he needed to do so soon, because otherwise he'd end up becoming dull in his Sword Training area. However, no one seemed like an interesting opponent for him at the moment, and so he began to heads towards the door to leave. At this moment, a new wave of students entered the room, maybe ten to fifteen in size. Smiling, Kyro stepped back once more to check out the new arrivals.

There were actually a few that Kyro thought would be opponents worth sparring with, and so he began to decide, in his head, which he would choose. As he waited, he sat in a little cliche in a corner of the room, wishing to remain hidden so none of the weaker students could pester him for a duel, or for helping with their studies, as he was usually one of the Academy's 'go to' students when it came to the basic classroom studies. He didn't think he was any better in the normal classes than anyone else around him, but apparently some other students did, and he really couldn't care for the extra attention that it brought him. He generally hated having any attention at all. Kyro looked up and stood, having made a decision. He would let one of the stronger students come to him, instead of picking one for himself. And so he waited, in plain view, for someone to approach him.

Takezo yawned as he walked into the sparring area, he really didnt want to but the teachers were hounding his ass for him to get his training done. It had taken him awhile to be found back on earth, the guide eventually finding him after the hollow had quit the field for some reason, either boredom or Takezo's lack of intrest in fighting back, either way he had finally returned.

Rubbing a hand through his red hair, Takezo whistled lowly as he looked for someone who actually wanted to do fight, giving him a better chance to lose and get this done with quickly.

Finding someone suitable standing in the back of the room, Takezo approached and offered his hand to shake.

"Nice to meet ya, names Takezo. You wanna spar?"

Kyro was startled by his thoughts as one of the Students asked to spar with him. He gave a grin as he noticed that it was one of the stronger ones, and so he took his hand and shook it. If he were to fight this guy, it could actually be a bit interesting. After thinking it over for a few moments, Kyro nodded at the other Student. He then motioned to one of the Sparring Spaces that was vacant and stepped into it, relaxing his muscles as he moved. As he stood at the ready position, prepared to start, and drew his Zanpakutou, he realized he had forgotten to introduce himself.

"The name's Kyro, Kyro Nerra, a hopefully soon to graduate Student. Been here for quite awhile," Kyro called to Takezo, and then he spun his blade to relax his arm muscles. It had been quite a long time since he had had a duel that actually counted as something, which meant that this was going to be quite fun. As Takezo took the ready stance, Kyro closed his eyes and relaxed his mind, his last step in preparing for a duel. He heard the Teacher call for all spars to begin, and his eyes snapped open. He wasn't the greatest when it came to sword technique, but that didn't mean he couldn't fight. He came in with an underhand strike and then, without waiting to see if the attack had hit, spun and brought his training blade towards the other Student's hip.

Takezo kept his blade infront of him, taking a quick step back to avoid the first strike, then turning his body to the side to meet his opponents blade with his own. If he lost right away, the teacher would make him go again, and he didnt want that. If he got one good spar in maybe, just maybe they would decide to leave him alone for awhile, or at least untill the next class.

Takezo executed a quick backspin towards kyro, his own training blade coming around to return the hip strike with his own. If he had to do this, he might as well try for the first five minutes or so.

Kyro was a bit surprised at the ease of which his opponent managed to defend against his attacks, but he didn't allow that to scare him off. The Student blocked the opponent's returning hip strike, and responded with a few quick jabs to force the other Student back. Kyro skipped back a few feet himself after succeeding, and reexamined his opponent. He was obviously even more skilled than Kyro had originally thought, but he seemed not to be really trying all too much. He was probably being forced to duel by the teachers. That didn't matter, though, because he was still good.

Kyro came flying back in with a massive combo, hoping to end the match right then and there but uncertain whether or not it would work. He wasn't very talkative in the middle of battles, so he and his opponent stayed silent, neither having to speak when they could read the movements of the other. Kyro finished his combo and skipped back again to see if any of his attacks had managed to hit Takezo, and because of this, there was a momentary pause in the duel.

Well one exchange was done, time for the second one. Several jabs hit their mark, not because Takezo couldnt block them, but because the sooner the guy across from him built up some confidence the quicker this would be over.

"owowowowowow." Takezo replied wincing, stepping back once more to avoid several more jabs. while the blades wernt sharp, they still hurt a bit. He rubbed his arms and shoulder with his free hand before turning his attention back to Kyro.

Refocusing, Takezo stepped forward to meet his oponent once again. delivering a simple horizontal slash towards Kyro's sword arm.

Kyro grinned as the other Student created an opening for him with his slash. Kyro spun his training sword and knocked his opponent's from its trajectory, sending it into the ground. It hit with a thwack, and as it hit, Kyro brought his shoulder into the other Student's chest, knocking him back a couple of steps. He continued by bringing his blade around in a spinning strike to his left shoulder, and then he repeated the process by striking him in the knee cap. This caused the other to falter, and Kyro finished it with a kick to his chest. As Takezo fell, Kyro held his training blade at his throat.

"I have won. Thank you for this duel, as it was definitely worth the time. May you find fortune as a Shinigami, I suppose..." said Kyro, and then he pulled his training blade back and tossed it to the teacher, who caught it rather awkwardly since he hadn't been prepared to. Since Kyro was not a very social person, he wasn't very good with the thank you part after a sparring match, and so he simply gave the other Student an awkward bow and headed towards the door that lead from the room.

"What a nice way to thank someone..." muttered Kyro as he left, and then he realized he'd left his Zanpakutou in the sparring room. He turned and ran back in, face red, and retrieved his blade. Then he spun again and raced from the room, embarrassed slightly at having forgotten something such an important thing. Kyro hoped that Takezo didn't take him to be an idiot for it, although, he probably would. Kyro reached his room, opened the door, and stepped inside, so that no one else could see his red, embarrassed face...

((Had permission to end the fight like that))
