As the two shinigami stepped into the gate, the Captain Commander would smile knowingly though it was a smile tainted with a small drop of sadness. He would never expect to see them again for he had been certain that in giving this mission he would have sealed there fates leaving them to a hollow that they would have not only zero chance of killing, but zero chance of surviving against. His hoari would bounce on his muscular frame as he would make his way on soft zori towards the Bureau of Research and Development. Of course he would report the deaths of two honorable young shinigami on a personal mission given to them by him, the Captain Commander and of course this would leave the matter beyond all doubt for in Soul Society no one questioned the 1st Division Captain. His well formed lips would let out a small sigh as he disappeared much like a curious wind on a summer day leaving no trace of him having ever stayed at the classroom to instruct these students. There would be traces of his reiatsu in the area, but it wouldn’t matter until it was too late.

Little did the two naïve rookies know, but the Senkaimon of the Captain Commander was of course designed for the sole use of the leader of the Gotei 13. Naturally, this was to be used in matters of urgency and never to be used to send normal shinigami or even those of Captain Class anywhere because upon its opening a fraction of the Soutaichou’s reiatsu would flood through the gate traveling with anyone that moved within its space. When the travelers came to the other side, the reiatsu would become a beacon for any spiritually aware presence that was within a 100 spirit miles of the entry point. In other words the moment those poor souls would set foot into the Material World is the same moment that the hollow, which according to Kaito’s information was within the Menos class, would sense the delicious energy and move towards with impunity.

“It really is a horrible fate…perhaps I should have lowered the level of the test?” the distinguished man would wonder as he would perch quietly upon the rooftop of the 12th Division barracks staring off into the sunset where he would muse about how to find another pair of specimens for his plan; he needed to begin preparations soon.

((>.> you my friend... are a truely evil man...))

Junko stepped through the gate, wondering where they would emerge, she felt cool wind on her face, her Shinigami robes blew around her, and the black robes were asphalt colored, but stood out as a black speck on everything else, and she realized that such a fate was grim... for she was now fairly easy to spot, but it mattered not, as a woman who wore armor to battle, that was not her priority...

She felt a spirital pressure of the captain commander, and looked behind her to see if he had stepped through teh closing Senkaimon, but he was not, and Junko started to think why an intelegent man would send Reiatsu through the gate, which was nearly crippling to her... and as the gate closed, the reiastu vanished, and Junko tried to put the connection together on why he would do such a thing...

It hit her, to draw a hollows here... only his spiritual energy would draw the hollow out perhaps... She smiled, admiring the cunning of the Soutaicho, and turning to face Masaru,
"We oughta stay put, the Soutaicho has already invited our guest..."

(i relish the chance for a challenge Twisted Evil )

Masaru stepped through the Senkaimon with his sword already drawn. He was taking no chances with this mission. He probably would've gone charging in searching for this threat if it hadn't been for Junko's words bringing him back to some semblance of rational thought. "Yes, you're right. The Sotaicho's reiatsu will draw our prey to us. It would be best if we got comfortable with our surroundings, to give us that advantage in the fight."

He turned his veiled face to Junko, pondering his next words carefully. "We need to perform at our absolute best here. No holding back. I hope that we will find each other to be mutually beneficial allies." Masaru turned his gaze to the waning sunlight. "Now we wait." His grip tightened on the hilt of his Zanpakuto. No doubt his brute strength would come in handy during this fight. He wasn't familiar really, with Junko's abilities and strengths, but he hoped she'd be able to complement his abilities satisfactorily.

The air cracked violently as a clawed porcelain hand slid out from nothingness snapping fragments of the air as it tore open an ethereal space out of this nothingness; the Material World seemed to stand still as a massive white boot stepped through the swirling mass of chaotic darkness. From the foreign space came the sickly sweet stench of rotten meat rode hardily on the fragmented winds that came bursting forth along with the reiatsu of the horrible beast that came through finally sending a few more fragments of its crude pathway falling to the ground. A masked wraith came forth as the atmosphere around it was immediately tainted with unsolicited madness as he reared its head back bellowing into the sky as it shimmered with beautiful flecks of red spiritual energy from head to toe.

Mid roar it sense something shift within the dimension it was it although its thoughts were muddled with the remnants of hundreds of weaker hollows the large Gillian knew itself as Ikaru, or a name similar to that nature. This was irrelevant as all its instincts sent a chill through its body as energy of a foreign kind, something never before felt by this monster struck its nerve to the core. Rather than detecting a thread it could only formulate one word as it open and closed its raw smelling maw, “Foood…”

The targets had already been found and although they did not possess the power that had sent small tremors of hunger through the Gillian’s body, they would suffice for a small meal. This two black robed beings had left themselves out in the open and it did not seem rational, but the monster now towered over its meal with saliva dropping to the ground as it greedily clenched its alabaster jaws in anticipation. Excitement filled its senses and it roared again this time concentrating its energy into a focal point. The power bathed the surrounding area in a dim crimson light while darkening all else. Without warning it blasted its deadly Cero at the two shinigami with brutal force hoping to crush its prey under the power.

Masaru barely had time to even move out of the way of the Cero. This was his first time ever seeing a Hollow this powerful- a Gillian. As it started charging the Cero, he had been almost paralyzed in fear-stricken awe. Only at the last moment had his animals instincts kicked in. He dropped to all fours and took off, somehow still managing to hold onto his sword as he ran faster than he could on two feet. He leaped off the building just as the Cero demolished it. As Masaru free-fell, he desperately tried to think of a plan to fight this monster. Its reiatsu was higher than even his- for once in his life, facing an enemy, Masaru felt out-classed.

That was why he reacted as he did, out of fear and uncertainty. "Hado#4: Byakurai!" He pointed his left hand at the Gillian's face as he fell, sending several shots of white lightning at its skull-like mask. Masaru hit the ground hard, but his enormous muscle absorbed a lot of the force exerted. "Burn of the blades that have been lost, Hado#8: Blade of Flames." His sword erupted into flame. Hopefully it would come in handy if he was forced to get into close combat with the Gillian. Masaru did not relish the thought- but if he had to, he'd be prepared.

((I think the Soutaicho has given us an edge, we can RP at our current rank))

Junko drew her sword as soon as the hole in the sky opened, she thought it was a flying hollow, entering the world of the living, but as the white boot stepped out, and the crimson glow from its mouth started, 'Gillian + Cero = oshi' Junko thought about using a sheild, but she knew nothing could stop that power, not on her caliber of kido, and not in this amount of time given... Junko sheathed her sword, if Melee combat with a sky scraper was going to happen, it would not matter if she had her sword or not.

Junko tried something she had just learned from Nara Futaicho, Flash step, it was desperate, and hardly controlled, but she evaded the cero by the skin of the teeth... and at the cost of some hair, the long strands flowed out behind her, and got caught in the cero's blast, but she evaded it nonetheless.

Junko saw a blue flash of a Byakurai almost vertical as it shot torward the mask, And it didn't take long to put two and two togehter, that was not going to help anything, the irregular mask of the Gillian proved it had Conciousness, from what she knew of hollow evolution, it was on its way to being adjuchas...

Junko chanted, "Let the swallow chirp at its finest and emit its power, Hado 3 Crimson Strike!" Junko poured Reiatsu into the shot, willing it to make an impact, willing it to knock the gillian back, and shot it at the mask, still aware that It would highly unlikely for it to make much of a difference.

Just after the shot, she yelled desperately, "We cannot win this Masaru, we need to fall back!"

The two mites had narrowly avoided the blow, firing off their own retaliatory shots at the monster. Nothing they did would matter, at least that was what it had assumed as it was blinded by its own sheer size and might. It never took the time to consider that these “puny” shinigami may actually cause a threat to its existence at least it had thought that until a brilliant flash of light flung itself at the Gillian’s mask. Blinded and surprised the light struck the beast with full force in the face causing it to stammer slightly as it bellowed in pain now, its anger flaring hostilely thought it couldn’t comprehend this unpleasant sensation. It had never felt pain before. Such a horrible, gnawing feeling and the Menos did not relish it any longer focusing itself again to destroy the shinigami for their treason, but again the feast to come was thwarted as another light of reiatsu slammed into the hollow causing it to real even more. Each thundering step backward made the world quake before the might of the humongous specter though its wrath had yet to be incurred as the smoldering skin on its shoulder burned slightly.

“We cannot win this, Masaru, we need to fall back!” the beast had heard from down below though the comprehension of these words didn’t have any specific meaning. Only one thing matter now and it was the extinction of these shinigami. The jaws of the beast opened again as its evil, malicious reiatsu filled the air around it distorting everything within a few meters of its presence with the desire to feed; its primitive nature tainted the very air in which the humans would breath.

Raising its giant foot high into the air the hollow continued its cacophonous roar as its pale boot descended down quickly upon the fleeing shinigami; escape was not something that the hollow understood though its only motive at the moment resided in feeding. The shinigami would not have the chance to escape their destiny.

After firing his shots and lighting his sword on fire, Masaru was at a loss as to what to do. Although his kido appeared to have some small effect, it certainly wasn't powerful enough to take down a Gillian, not even if he fired 100 such shots, at least by Masaru's estimate. He heard Junko's cry, and decided that as much as he wished to impress the Sotaicho, it just wasn't going to happen. The smart choice was to run.

He ran quickly, as fast as he could to where he had heard Junko's shout, at the same time keeping an eye on the advancing Gillian. Masaru found her running down a street, just as fast as he was, also looking desperate. Inwardly, Masaru felt that the two could not possibly outrun the Gillian. Even though it couldn't move its limbs as fast as either of the two Shinigami could due to sheer size, its enormous stride more than compensated. It would be able to catch them if they just continued to run as they were doing.

Masaru could only think of one thing to do. He sheathed his sword, and then said, "Junko, I can run faster on all fours. Get on my back, and do your best to slow it down." With that, Masaru dropped to all fours, presenting Junko with his wide back to get on. Masaru had another plan in mind though. "Please prepare your most powerful Hado#9 and #10. Combine it with mine." As he continued to run, he began to mutter through his frenzied breathing, "May the tears of those killed, of those harmed by those of wickedness deliver their judgment upon those around. Blind the enemy with the endless sands of the desert. Burn his eyes and weaken his soul..."

Masaru kept running, willing himself to push harder than he ever had before. It was actually a good thing that Junko had not had the chance to wear her armor- had she been, Masaru had no doubt she'd be dead. "Hado#10: Rain of Pain! Hado#9: Dust Wind!" Alone, Masaru knew he had no chance. But perhaps with fully prepared spells from Junko as well, they had a chance.

Masaru's strategy was this; he had done this before, but on a smaller scale. The immense amount of dust from the Hado#9s would mingle with the rain from the Hado#10s. Hopefully the combined spells of both him and Junko would create enough slick mud beneath the Gillian to trip it up, or at very least slow its progression.

Junko was going to object to this, Junko knew that she was certainly faster than Masaru, and she realized that he didn't know that she knew shunpo. Junko did as she was told, shunpoing her light frame without armor to the top of masaru's back, still staying standing using reiastu to anchor herself to his back, she yelled said quickly, "Hado 13 Killer Bee!", She shot the bullets from her fingers, creating a short burst of 10 barreled machine gun action with the small but intense lighting bullets, and when Masaru started speakign she stopped the barrage.

She concentrated on her reiatsu for a moment, and retracted it's normal pressure, in order for the kido to work better, And she recited in unison with Masaru, "May the tears of those killed, of those harmed by those of wickedness deliver their judgment upon those around. Blind the enemy with the endless sands of the desert. Burn his eyes and weaken his soul..." She shouted with authority, and confidence and with uniformity with Masaru, "Hado#10: Rain of Pain! Hado#9: Dust Wind!" Whatever plan Masaru had, she would trust it.

((I is lazy an copy paste your kido))

As the foot stepped down onto the ground it seemed as if the massive giant couldn’t gain purchase upon the ground as it slid forward with fear coursing through its being, a primitive frightening fear that only plagued animals brought into uncertain circumstances. The world tilted uncontrollably as images whirred wildly about the beady eyes of the masked specter flitted fearfully from one corner to the next until it painfully landed upon its back against the unforgiving ground. It was then that the savage stumbled upon the vague conclusion that it did not enjoy this dimension for things were painfully real and even the spiritual atmosphere in the air was inconsistent. Very unlike the abundant amount of energy that resided in the chaotic world of Hueco Mundo, yet there were other matters to attend as the Gillian thrashed wildly sending clouds of debris and dirt in various directions. Even as it struggled to regain its upright position it realized with maddening pain that it had been struck by a strange attack that left its abdomen afire with pain, pain that it could not rid itself of as it remained on the ground.

In a loathsome mixture of pain and anger the beast howled spewing small droplets of the foul saliva in its mouth into the air. Its anger built up as the clawed hands at its side left small rifts in the ground as it continued its inconsolable bashing of the area around it.

The desire to crunch upon the fragile bones of the shinigami painted its mind dimly even blotting out the pain that stung slightly from their strange attacks; these sensations did not matter as its mind drove images of horrible deaths upon which the two foes would suffer. Especially the larger one coated in the strange garments, that one would serve for a sizable meal and the maw of the creature watered slightly as it managed to drag itself into an upright seated position just in time to catch the blurred images of the two shinigami running away. At least that was what the Gillian was certain they were doing though it could not fathom why any creature would run away from a fight. In Hueco Mundo there was no running, there was no hiding and scheming, there was only battling and the brutal yet efficient slaughter to decide who lived and who died.

No matter. Beautiful spectral trails of spirit energy floated in the escapees’ direction and the Gillian would find them regardless of where they went in this dimension of scarcity, in food source that is.

As he ran, Masaru glanced over his shoulder- somehow, his ploy had worked, and the Gillian had slipped on the slick mud to hit the ground. It was capable of sitting up however, and Masaru had little doubt it would be able to get up in time. As far as he could see, there was still nothing of use that could be done; at best, his and Junko's attacks would be like mosquito bites to the Hollow.

"We have to find a place to hide, or a way to open a Senkaimon back to Soul Society,"
Masaru gasped out as he ran. "Ideas, Junko? I'm afraid I have nothing left to offer at the moment."

((OOC: Sorry for the short post, i am tired and i can make it better if you don ))

Junko pondered what he had said, "If the Menos comes back, i can stall it some more, but no more than say, 5 minutes..."

Junko thought, Masaru was fast but the attacks that they might deliver together are nothing but chips. And not only but they would likely exaust themselves before they did significant damage. But perhaps an SOS could be used.

"Look, every city has a shinigami to take care of hollow right, and that shinigami probably notices that menos, umm, and they have comunicators, so if we find them then perhaps we can get reinforcements, or out of here."

Junko thought about more contingency plans, none of them were good. A stratagy if it came to combat would to stay at the beast's feet or on its back, as long as they could jump ship, the could fight it.
