| Kaiyo sat silently in the Zanjutsu training grounds. The large hall had a sprung wooden floor and was covered along one side in practice dummies and filled around the rest of the space with levelled seating along one edge, and many smaller arena's for sparring elsewhere. The weapons were all open in the adjoining room for the students. Kaiyo had no class, in fact nobody did. It was the weekend, so, as most students did. People flocked to the sparring grounds for some extra practise.
Kaiyo had missed so much being able to fight, and was practically itching for a small spar, even just a minute morsel of combat would suffice. The arena's were brimming with students, of all different skill. The drumming of wooden bokkens rang against the walls as Kaiyo sat silently watching in the seating area. If anything, the capped brown haired girl looked a little crazy. Her head flickering round left and right at the sight of a good strike or block or parry, and with each bang of the swords her body tensed. It was a little silly really, to assume the 11th squad captain could go so long without just a bit of combat.
For the time being though, she would just have to deal with watching. Picking the flaws in stances and the openings in the attacks of her peers. Kaiyo lowered her head slightly, the material in her gloves squeaking slightly as her hands gripped tighter onto the wooden bench she sat on. Maybe a nice long run would cool her off, that usually worked.

| If Henka could have it his way, he wouldn't even have to train with his zanpaktou. His zan was... Irritable to say the least, and stubborn too. It hadn't even told Henka it's name, and they'd been together for quite a while. But, it was mandatory seeing as he hadn't spent anytime at the sparring field at all. In fact, he purposely avoided it. A bunch of muscle head beating each other up with swords. How barbaric. There were other, more suitable tasks for him, that didn't include sweating all day. And yet, here he was, walking across the sleek wooden floor of the sparring arena, watching the would-be shinigami dual with their practice blades. Of all the times to be pushed into doing something like this, it had to be when he was coming upon a breakthrough in one of his top experiments. If only he had more time.
He presumed a well-rounded shinigami was a powerful shinigami, and so he knew not to kick and scream all the way there, but he knew it would be an experience that he would dread. Maybe he could just sit this one out, pretend that he actually did train. It wasn't like anyone would know the difference, he barely used his blade at all. Henka dropped into a seat on the bench, staring off into nothing, willing time to speed up. Henka's face was a deadpan stare, as he surveyed the area he now found himself in. It looked like a stereotypical dojo, if only the people were actually alive, then it would be perfect spitting image. All of them training their little hearts to a breaking point. Except for two. His head swiveled to look at a girl, also sitting on the bench beside him. "Are you hiding out too?" he asked, with a frown.

| Kaiyo's trance was broken when she heard a voice next to her. Instantly relaxing the grip of the bench in her hands as she turned with a weak smile to the student in question. Having been fr to engrossed in her thoughts, Kaiyo hadn't even notice the guy approaching. Though by the looks of him, he didn't exactly fit into a place like this. He seemed almost uncomfortable as she did; likely for different reasons though.
'Heh, something like that yeah' she replied with a light chortle. Her voice managing to smooth over the tension in her voice. Her gaze lingered a little too long on the individual, a topic of conversation needed to end the awkward situation that would surely creep in. 'I haven't seen you around here before, i take it you're not such a fan?' she smiled politely, tilting her head towards the shattering training that had surrounded the unsuspecting students.
It was a welcomed distraction from combat, for a short while at least. Though teetering at the back of her mind was the over-constant slashing of blades, mixing with bated breath and the overall energy than surrounded combat. It was exhilarating to say the least.

| Henka didn't bother to look at the girl, it could be qualified as a rude gesture, but his gaze was taken away by seeing one poor student floored by another, followed by a fanfare of wild jeers from spectators. He looked back at the girl with a meaningful sigh. "You could say that..." He moaned. "Fighting with brute force isn't quite my style, instead, I rely on the only muscle that I need." he said, tapping his head with his index finger. "Using my mind creates a much more dignified battle than smashing away with a battered sword." Not that you have that much battle experience to begin with... Attempting to ignore the nagging thoughts in the back of his mind he continued, rolling one with words firing a mile per minute. "While a swords skill may be limited by common factors such as an opponents varying abilities, the mind is not as inflexible. No, the brain can maneuver around any obstacle."
He sighed, "But here I am, rambling on when we hardly know each other... My name is Henka. May I ask yours?" He turned his head back to the girl, his black eyes staring at her. He was almost certain she was a new face. He didn't remember seeing any one like her before. And he was sure he'd notice someone wearing a peculiar cap like she was. Then again he rarely even spoke to any of his classmates, they were almost part of the scenery. A poor, bland scenery too. His eyes slanted for a moment, wondering where this person had sprung from, he kept the question to himself though. He didn't want too seem too invasive.

| Kaiyo rolled her eyes slightly, of course she'd end up talking to one of the very few who hated combat.it was fine, Buzz wasn't exact;y known for much fighting skill so she could just roll with it. Trying not to be too offended by the harsh judgements upon those who do enjoy such exercise.
Th brown haired girl shrugged lightly, interjecting a mild defence towards fighting skill. 'Hmm, i think a healthy balance is needed for true success in combat, knowing what to do is pretty useless if you can't actually do it' she smiled lightly, not wanting to make too fine a point on it.
Kayo lifted her head up, revealing her large hazel eyes as she tried to get a better look at Henka. 'Hello Henka, people call me Buzz' she added lightly. Her eyes fluttered to the side by a distracting noise, that all too familiar noise of air being forcefully pushed out of someone's lungs. Winding their opponent. Kaiyo turned back with a smile, her own eyes catching Henka's black stare. His eyes were quite intriguing themselves, Kaiyo tore herself away from staring.
Starting to get more agitated by the situation, Kaiyo couldn't help but letting her eyes survey Henka, looking at stature and poise for combat, that and sensing the guys overall reiatsu level. It was tempting herself with the one person who was actually free to sparr. It wasn't helping to mellow her either.

| Balance... An almost impossible achievement for most people. Usually it was either one or the other, being the brains or the brawn. But he presumed some attempt at a middle area was possible, albeit almost unattainable. He looked at the girl for a moment. Very peculiar for someone with almost no experience in combat to know the perfect way to fight. But he shrugged off the thought, maybe she was just plain arrogant. It wasn't time to judge. And then she said her name, Buzz. An odd name for a girl, especially back when he was alive. But he presumed Earth had changed, so maybe naming a female Buzz was considered the norm, either way he frowned nonchalantly. Meeting her stare for a moment. She didn't say anything more, which was odd in itself, but the way she was staring at him made him feel a tad bit uncomfortable. He didn't feel like she was just looking at him, but as if she were looking through him.
He cleared his throat, averting his gaze from her eyes. "You're starting to freak me out..." he murmured, arching one eyebrow with curiosity. She looked antsy, or nervous, almost like she was waiting for something. He attempted to analyze her posture. Buzz, was seemingly acting as if she were studying him as well.
OOC: Sorry, for the late reply. Christmas, ya know?

| Kaiyo's fixated and far off gaze was broken by Henka's words. Granted, she probably getting a bit too jittery, but she hadn't exactly said anything out of the ordinary had she? Well at least not that she could remember. The whole idea to come and just watch the combat was definitely not her greatest idea to date.
The girl shrugged it off with a light smirk though, 'Sorry, just not been sleeping that well, this place is pretty stressful sometimes' . It was half true, Kaiyo had never exactly been one for sleep. A bright bundle of energy like herself just couldn't lie still for so long. That, and more recently she only had her dreams to communicate with her Zanpakuto. It was creating a greater strain than she had ever expected. That combined with her blood lust for combat, Kaiyo seemed almost ill. Truly, a double and secret life was starting to take a toll on the girl.
Attention drawn once again by a far off fight, it was starting to get out of hand. The shouting had grown, the intensity of each hit had sharpened with the swelling reiatsu that had begun to clash against one another in a fight. Then it happened, the single thing that could have cause Kaiyo more pain than anything else. Leaning forwards in her seat with a burning fixation on the competitors. One bested the other, with a single strike, slicing his blade out of his hands and set it hurdling with a fair amount of height towards Kaiyo and Henka. The accumulated reiatsu that had twisted around the blade within the heat of battle shot it faster through the air, the opposing energies causing it to spin rapidly through the air.
The wooden sword splintered behind the energy, twirling horizontally in seconds at Kaiyo and Henka. The capped girl moved quicker than she had even anticipated, spinning up off her seat as she leant backwards in front of Henka, jabbing her hand forwards as she quickly gripped the blade and flung it back towards the two awe-stricken students. Moving to sit back down a rather unfortunate incident occured. The residual charge of the competitors reiatsu clung to Kaiyo's gloves, seeping into her own locked up reiatsu and creating a reaction. A seemingly small implosion of energy that outsiders wouldn't even notice. Of course the gloves did, the defacto problem with the apparel that instantly created a searing pain in her chest that dropped the girl to the ground. Immediately clinging to her tight chest as the burning inside flung around the core of her energy. Kaiyo squinted her eyes closed as tightly as she could. Trying to block out the pain as she much as she could. It lingered like the smell of death in the air. Jolting throughout of hollow body so void of energy.
The gloves broke the signal between her reiatsu and being able to release it, leaving Kaiyo feeling continually energy. When her body started to fight back against the blocks, the girl felt immense pain. The kind that literally brought tears to her eyes. Kaiyo was a battle-worn fighter who's pain threshold was pretty damn high. This was excruciating pain. Beads of sweat rolled onto the floor where Kaiyo was. Unable to stand for a while longer. A great way to keep a low profile. At the very least, it just seemed like the sword itself had hurt her enough to drop her to the ground like a sack of potatoes.

| One moment Henka was losing all interest in the girl, and the next she was moving through the air, snatching a wooden practice blade from the air that had been ripped from the palm of another trainee. He looked at her with a dazed stare, and was beginning to look away when something shocked his system. A wave of sorts, sending an impulse into his brain to spur into action, but he only tightened his grip on the bench, looking over at Kaiyo yet again, his eye brows raising. She was definitely the one that had caused this weird feeling that shook him. But what was it that had caused his disturbance, she seemed to normal before, but now he wasn't so sure. He stood up slowly, about to make a sarcastic remark to her sudden jump to action, but was stopped when he caught a glimpse of pain on her face. He raised his eyebrow in surprise, pain from catching a dull sword? She acted like she had caught a sharp katana by the blade.
"Hey, Buzz," he spoke, finding the weird name foreign on his tongue. "Are you okay?" he questioned, in a low tone, not looking at all like he was carrying. He watched her fall to the ground, and moved to stop her but was too slow, instead he just watched her hit the ground. For a second he was surprised that she had seemingly fainted from drawing a blade, and he wondered if the shinigami that had knocked it out of his enemies hand was somehow extremely powerful. No... If he was then he would have obviously be part of the Court Guard Squads. It had something to do with Buzz. Was she just super weak? He looked at the broken blade in her hands and noticed something for the first time. The gloves. He hadn't even noticed the gloves before, he guessed he just didn't even seem to care, it was more of a minor detail to him. There was so much other things that caught his attention besides another persons attire. It would be stupid to even care, but now... He knew it had to be the root of the problem.
They drew his attention away from the girl who was in obvious pain, to the gloves. To anyone else it may have seemed a rather cold gesture, but to him, he was just trying to help. Delicately attempting to separate the girls hand from the handle of the wooden blade. He inspected the weapon, noticing its splintered side but not seeing any residual glove on it or Buzz. By now, Buzz had already gathered some attention from the other students, who were obviously interested in the strange and all around unique incident that was occurring right before their eyes. They circled Henka and Buzz, though Henka barely even noticed, tossing the wooden rod away from him and into the crowd. The blade was standard issue, absolutely basic in every single way so that was the cause of the problem, so what was making Buzz spasm so wildly?
"The gloves?" he murmured aloud, moving his hands to pinch the fabric of the gloves. Is this the cause...? he wondered in his mind, his tired eyes analyzing the material.

| A cold sweat ran down her body, her eyes glazing over with a shimmering tear for a moment. Blinked back by sheer determination, the girl shut her eyes for moment. Grasping for her last few shreds of normality as she slowly sat back up. Fully aware of the students that begun to gather around her. That was just what she needed. Henka's voice, he didn't even try to sound sincere.
Kaiyo remained silent as he moved around. The splintered shards of the blade hadn't helped her weak argument. As far as she knew, most students couldn't just snap one of those swords into many pieces by accident. Not that they knew it was by accident. Kaiyo just needed to keep it casual; talk her way out of it. A skill she did at least vaguely excel in. Of course not when snooping people like Henka were sniffing around abnormal going ons.
Kaiyo allowed him to move her hands, keeping a firm and solid gaze on him, clearly not feeling very trusting at the moment. As Henka's hand moved across to the tug at the glove, Kaiyo whipped her hand back. Stumbling back up to her feet with a weak smile. Taking her turn to address the crowd that had gathered, hungry for more rumours to spread. So what she said would eventually become irrelevant to what actually happened. A cove wa still needed though. Kaiyo's face relaxed into a weak smile, her cheeks blushing tightly as she spoke. 'Heh, sorry, it really hurt, a lot more than i was exoecting...' she replied. Seemingly oblivious to the eyes that were pleading for a better story. Lingering along her body for hinting features to distract from monotonous evens. Unfortunately, Buzz, didn't exactly blend in. Short, wore a cap with a skull on and usually ended up in bad situations. At the very least,, rumours that followed the student were of her appalling combat ability but sheer luck and fortune in matters, followed by her overall weakness. It was good to know people were creating an accurate portrayal of her.
A moment of staring down those who had gathered was followed by unsettling rumblings of students as they dissipated from around the pair. Stammering eyes stalling to lift their eyes. Kaiyo turned her attention back to Henka. Not too worried about the overall situation yet though. The gloves were working fine, and she had been assured they would not break at all, in fact that pain was in hindsight a good sign. To show they were still working. Kaiyo lifted the rim of her hat, rubbing her forehead with her hand slightly before tugging it back down over her brown hair. 'What about my gloves?' she asked bluntly. Sounding quite offended now.
