Personality: Mika is a bit of a spunky girl not afraid to voice her opinion regardless of who is present.  She tries hard to prove herself and her abilities to those around her.  Kind and open, she is friendly to most people unless they give her a reason not to trust them.  She also believes strongly in equality and hates stuck up individuals which can make her appear disrespectful at times.

Mika is a thin and light girl who is quick on her feet.  She wears the typical shinigami outfit, but likes to switch to a shoulderless top like in the picture when training or fighting.  She has long silvery black hair and deep blue eyes.  

Sealed Zanpakutō : Mika's zanpakuto looks like a standard lenghth katana with an acid green hilt wrap.

Description of released form: First releases looking like a short, curved machete about a foot in length.  A hollow ring is on the end of its handle.

Ability 1: Star Form

Mika is able to produce 3 blades identical to the first blade that rotate out from the first blade attached to the end ring, turning the shikai into a giant, four-bladed shuriken.

Ability 2: Sora no shinkū (Sky Vacuum)

Spirit power is gathered in the blades of the shuriken, which is then thrown with great force as a long range attack.  The power on the blades increases their cutting power substantially, but is mainly used as a disturbance to the air in the flight path of the shuriken.  The weapon cuts through the air with enough force to separate it and creates a vacuum that results in a heavy wind current following the shuriken.  This turns the Sora no shinku into a two or even three stage attack, with the shuriken being followed by the vacuum and possibly Mika who takes advantage of the disturbance the vacuum causes to enemies.


History/Background: Mika was a girl that grew up in the Rukongai like many other shinigami.  She lived a pretty normal soul life.  She had a makeshift family, some friends, and lived off of water.  Nothing significant happened to her until the day that some nobles were walking through her town.  One of her friends was roughly pushed aside as the nobles walked past.  When Mika angrily spoke up for them to apologize to her friend, they only laughed and told her that her kind wasn't deserving of an apology from them.  This pompous behavior angered Mika even more and woke the spirit power inside of her.  She tried to fight them, but was quickly overpowered and left beaten in the streets.  Her friends thanked her for standing up for them, but told her that she should just accept things for what they were.  She refused and vowed to become a shinigami and show them the true comparison between commons and nobles one day.

Mika worked hard in the academy, almost too hard some thought.  She was relentless in her training, excelling at speed and combat exercises.  He spunk attitude almost got her in trouble a few times with nobler students, but she never did anything to require disiplinary action.  When her graduation was approaching, she was unsure as to what squad she should join.  People told her that her fighting spirit was probably good for squad 11, but her footwork was the kind of talent for squad 2.  Torn between the choices, she then overheard a rumer circling through the academy of squad 2's captain drafting a bunch of nobles into his squad as punishment for their behavior.  This appealed to Mika, making her think that the captain felt the same towards nobles as her.  And with a bunch of nobles in the squad alongside her, she could strive to advance in the ranks faster than them and show her skills against them.  She filed for transfer to squad 2 immidiately upon graduation.
