A cold night, but a new beginning(marly)

The night was at its peak in the Rukongai, as the dark sky was covered in even darker rain clouds, the sound of the first drops of rain was heard on the roof of the poorly build houses, letting the water slowly leek inside... The rain was slowly falling down upon the city making the earth wet and muddy and the roofs wet in the rough district, the only thing lighting up the streets in the dark night was the small flash of lightning in the distance that showed itself now and then between the dark clouds lighting up the night as the rain drops were slowly beginning to fall by the thousands, faster and faster as the people of Rukongai began to seek cover from the cold rain inside there houses.

As the majority of the people had fled for cover from the rain, the streets were silent and empty. The only thing that was to be heard was the rain as it hit the ground or the houses making a familiar and almost comforting sound... It was like the rain was washing away all the things that had happened in the world and slowly comforting the world in some way... She hadn't been found yet, she hadn't even woken up as the rain had begun to cool her down and making her torn bloody clothing wet and muddy as the ground was growing wet... Kuro was lying unconscious in the middel of the street, lying on her side like she were laying in a spoon with someone, while holding something in towards her breast, that something was the handles of two broken zanpakutos that were laying scattered around her in the mud... Kuro was freezing, her clothing was wet and it was easy to see her because she was shaking like a wet cat that was freezing...

The only reason why she hadn't been found yet was because of the night and the cold rain most people wouldn't even want to walk around in. The low sound of roaring thunder was heard in the distance as the the sky was slightly lit up onces again. Kuro´s lips were slowly turn blue from the cold that was wrapping its arms around her as the drops of water ran down over her body. If anyone would look at her they wouldn't know if she were crying in her sleep or if it was only the rain making it look that way... She looked sad and alone laying there all by herself, the cold would soon take its toll on her and she would freeze to death...

Kurama was walking the streets of the Rukongai, deep in thought. He watched as the sky slowly began to darken with rain clouds but didn't think much of it. It had been a long time since he's joined the Gotei 13 and he was just recently made Lt. It wouldn't be long before he was made Captain... He continued to walk the dirt path that lead through the town, mulling over his accomplishments... and his regrets.

It seemed that even despite his success, and his new friends, something in his life was still missing. A seemingly unfillable void... The clouds began to pour rain onto the Shinigami, causing him to look up at the sky once more. A storm was passing through, it wasn't a heavy one, in fact he would bet money that there wouldn't even be lightning around for at least a few miles of here. Nevertheless, people began to vacate the streets, seeking shelter in their homes or in shops. Kurama simply kept walking however, he didn't mind the rain. In fact, it was somewhat comforting to know that sometimes the sky cried too...

A few seconds passed and he began to hear a low rumbling in the distance, he began counting until he heard it again. "Damn, I would've won that bet..." He smiled and kept on walking until he came upon a turn in the road. As he made the turn, he noticed that the street wasn't very lit. Whatever street lanterns usually hung here must not have been tended to yet. He was about to decide to turn around and head back to the barracks when he sensed something. Whatever it was, it was faint...

He decided to look into it, he had at least time for that before returning for supper... A few minutes had passed and Kurama had walked about four blocks before he saw her, a young woman laying in the middle of the road. He had no idea how long she'd been laying there but she'd already become soaked in mud and rain. Her lips were beginning to show a faint shade of blue from what he guessed would've been the cold. He had only experienced cold once and it was not something that he wanted to go through again...

He bent down to try and rouse her but she would not wake. He noticed the broken zanpakutos lying next to her and guessed that she was a soul reaper, but her spiritual pressure was so weak... Not only that but she wore no kind of shinigami robes, not even ones of the academy. He pondered it for a moment then decided there would be time to worry later, for now he needed to get this girl to shelter. He took the two hilts and tucked them into his robes, then tucked his arms underneath of her and began to lift her up as gently as possible. He began walking up the street but realized that he would have no place to bring her... She would not be allowed into the Gotei 13 if she were not a member, and the same rule would apply at the Shinigami Academy...

His mind raced for possible answers and finally one struck him. Jack's house... It would be vacant due to his recent acceptance into the academy. Now, just how was he going to get her there before she froze to death? He looked about, no one was around for miles. He began to flash step from building to building, racing across the Rukongai. It wasn't the flash stepping that was hard, it was doing so while trying to suppress his spiritual pressure. If he let too much slip out, he could speed up her hypothermia... After almost two and a half minutes of endless shunpo, he's arrived outside of Jack's shack. He nudged the door to find it wasn't locked, and he entered, shutting it behind him with his heel.

He waited a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dark and he was able to make out a small bed beside a little table. Each were low to the ground, only about a foot tall. He laid her down gently and reached for a box of matches that was resting beside a small candle. He lit a match and then the candle, shaking it out and placing it on the metal dish that was under the candle. The girl would have to get out of the clothes she was wearing... If she remained in the soaked ones she'd still be at risk of freezing or getting sick, he looked about the shack but Jack hadn't left behind any clothes.

"Damn!", he cursed under his breath, he'd have to go find some. He walked out the door, shutting it behind him, and flash stepped down the road towards the nearest clothing shop. It wasn't too long before he reached it but unfortunately it had already closed. Kurama began to pound on the door but either no one was home or they had gone to bed already. He lowered his head in defeat and let out a sigh, a low rumbling sounded in the distance as the storm continued... Kurama then heard a door close behind him, he turned to see a small light going out inside a shop across the street. He rushed over to it and knocked on the door, a brief moment later it was opened by an elderly woman. Kurama bowed his head and asked if the woman sold clothing, she nodded but explained that she was closed for the night. Kurama pleaded with her to let him purchase something and she eventually agreed to let him in for a moment.

After about six minutes, he exited the building and rushed of into the night, his purchase tucked into his robes, held against his chest. He ran as fast as he could through the rain until he made it back to the shack. He hurried inside to find the girl curled up, shivering but still unconscious... He pulled out the outfit that he's bought her and placed it beside her.


He then sighed as he prepared himself for what he was going to have to do next. He checked to make sure she wouldn't wake up on him as he slid off the soaked garments. She didn't wake up so he proceeded to strip her of the wet and muddy clothing. He took off his own robes top and began to dry off the excess water from her skin before redressing her in the new kimono he'd purchased. Once finished, he hung her clothing from the rafters with his own top. He noticed a small cook fire area off to one side and he went over to start it up. Once he got some heat inside the little shack, he could afford to lift the canvas flap that covered the small window over the fire pit...

Hours passed and Kurama fell asleep beside the fire, his back resting against one of the walls. His hair had slowly begun to dry and any water that had been on his, now bare, chest had quickly evaporated. 'I hope she'll be alright...' He thought as the last bit of consciousness slipped away from him...

How long has it been now? Kuro couldn't remember, or even remember anything else that had been floating around in this dark sea for hours, days, years almost as if it had been for a eternity, or well it felt like that, or was it just her imagination? Was she dreaming or had she gotten here somehow? That was one of the things that had been going through her head several times now of course one of the questions was also where was she? The only thing she could remember was her name or was it even hers? Maybe it was a person she once knew...?

She closed her eyes for a moment and listened to the water while slowly breathing in and out, it was like the sea were death, hollowed like something was missing, there weren’t a single movement in the sea, like there normally would be... The only real sound here was the sound of her beating heart that kept going... Slowly she opened up her eyes again and looked at the black sky, the only thing separating the sea from the sky was a clear white moon that was at its peak... There was no wind blowing over the sea, not even a little chilly breeze was felt as she kept laying there in the water thinking about were she was and how she had even got here. Slowly a new question was beginning to take form inside her mind “Who was she? The only thing she had was a name nothing more...

As Kuro was floating around there in the water wondering about who she was, as she suddenly could feel it, it was like a hand that gripped her with a tremendous force and dragged her under the black water... It felt as if thousands of strong, firm hands were ripping at her and pressing against her body; rubbing against her skin as they were trying to dry off the dark water that was surrounding her right now and suddenly they let go of her. She swam with everything she had left in her, slowly ascending to the surface. Her arms and legs felt like stone and her heart beat faster and faster for every second she was getting closer to the surface closing her eyes as she made herself ready, as she reached the surface once again she opened up her eyes...

Once again Kuro opened up her eyes, but this time she gasped for air as she had been about to suffocate, sitting up in the little bed she had been laying in... Slowly her gaze wandered around the little old shack, she didn’t know why but what first cough her attention was the blue kimono she had on, it was beautiful or that was what Kuro thought. Having what looked like sliver leaves scattered all over the blue clothing made it feel like she had been sleeping under a sakura tree... Her gaze then began to wander again around the old shack, there was light coming in through the little opening in the roof so it had to be morning but how had she gotten here? Slowly her gaze found the small fire place that looked like it had been used recently and suddenly her eyes found that answer to her question...

Slowly Kuro stood up on her legs and began to walk over to the answer she sought. It was a quite handsome guy lying there on the floor right next to the fire place with the top of his uniform off... She wanted to wake him up and try asking him who he was and what they were doing here... but also who she was? Actually she hadn't thought it through yet, she was almost too excited to know who this guy was... While she was slowly blushing about the thought that he could be her husband... that this was their home...

Suddenly kuro felt a little dizzy and before she knew it she was stepping on the kimino and there by falling down over the poor guy while letting a light yell slip out from the surprise, landing on him more or less on all fours with her upper body againist his face, one of her hands on each side of his head holding herself up as the kimono were open in the middle, it was only just now that Kuro noticed that she was naked beneath the kimono...

The dreams that floated in the boy's head that night were odd ones... He dreamt of battling fearsome creatures, locked in endless combat, slashing for hours until he was left standing in an empty field of death. He sheathed his zanpakuto and made his way back home, back to the soul society. Once there, he looked upon his house... or what he must've dreamt his house would look like should he ever own one. The place was big, not too big, but big enough to raise a large family in. He slid open the door to find a woman standing there, the same woman from last night. She was wearing the new kimono he'd bought and a smile appeared on her face. She looked truly beautiful, her hair... her eyes, not a single thing he'd ever change.

The woman walked over to him and reached up to kiss him on the cheek. He blushed and hesitated for a moment before wrapping his arms around her. The woman looked up at his face and leaned her body up against his... As she did so, Kurama felt lightheaded and began to lose his balance. He fell backwards and smacked his head against a wooden ream in the door. He heard a crashing sound that he assumed was the paper door breaking and then everything went black...

The startled Kurama's eyes snapped open as the girl fell on top of him. He glanced around for only half a second and realized that he was back in the shack; he'd only been dreaming, though this girl on top of him was definitely real... His instincts told him to shove her away for he couldn't be sure if this were some kind of attack but his body was absolutely paralyzed. His eyes drifted downwards then immediately back up to her face, his own blushing the brightest shade of red.

"I uh, I..." As much as he tried to make the words form on his tongue, nothing came out. He watched as her eyes sparkled in the firelight, a brilliant shade of blue... like a deep ocean... he could drown in them... and he was...

“Ouch.. ouch.. ouch…” said she with a low voice as she was talking to herself, not really think about the boy she had landed because she could feel the pain from her knee as she had scraped it against the old wood floor, as she had only been half landing on him letting him take some of her fall for her, it were only her legs that had gotten scraped against the hard floor as she slowly got use to the pain on her knees, slowly her attention got back to her surroundings

All questions, all the thoughts that before had been racing through her mind just a second ago, were now gone, hiding somewhere she didn’t know were to find again. She just laid there on top of him, breast again breast, skin against skin.. kuro was slowly taking her hand down and trying to close the kimono as it had open itself up in little stunt she had made, it were a bit hard for her, but somehow she made to close the kimono just a little in time as her eyes met his, staring down into his eyes completely stunned at how he were looking at her…

Slowly her cheeks began to turn red like strawberries.. As she kept holding the eye contact with him she want to say something but she didn’t knew what to say to him… as she hear he tried to break the silence “I…?” said she with a slight pause and a small smile were to be found on her lips as she was thinking about what he wanted to say to her, it were really a awkward situating she had gotten herself into

"I-uh, Are you alright?" Kurama attempted to lean forward, managing to get one foot underneath himself, and help the girl to her own feet. Her kimono was now closed, and he had finally recomposed himself. He began helping her back towards the bed, "Are you feeling any better? When I found you lying out there last night I wasn't exactly sure what had knocked you unconscious..." He began to hear the sounds of the other townspeople waking up and beginning their morning routines. The young shinigami looked to the slightly cracked window beside the, now extinguished, cook fire. He could see that it was light outside, he must've fallen asleep for several hours...

Kurama turned back to the girl who was still looking at him, he then realized he's taken off his robe top and his chest was showing. Slightly embarrassed, he stood up and grabbed his top, which was now fairly dry. He put it back on and sat at the foot of the bed, looking at the girl, wondering if she was really alright. He wouldn't know how to treat her if the girl was suffering any kind of head trauma...

”i think so, i only scratch my knee...” said Kuro with a low voice as she still could feel the small pain from her knee´s while she got helped back up on her feet by the boy, walking over to the bed with the help of the him, she sad down and looked up on him looking rather fresh today than just day.... gently holding a bit out in the kimono, she tried to show him one of her legs were she had scratch some of the skin away as she had land on the hard wood floor with her bare knees, slowly she looked up on him, as she could hear the sound of the out side of the small shack, it almost made her a little nerves, but she also did feel more or less save here when he were with her...

“i think I feel okay... I just... I just cant remember anything...” said she still with a low voice while she slowly began to feel a little light headed as she also could feel a pain coming through her head as she tried to think on what happened before the dream she had “i feel a little dizzy sorry...” she said slowly while taking a hand up to her forehead as she keep staring at the boy a little while he slowly got dress... Again She began to blush lightly getting a light red color in her cheeks as she were looking up on his chest again “ I..I can only remember this really weird dream, i had about floating in a black ocean for hours, before I suddenly got pulled down into the black water and then it felt like a thousand hands began to grub and rub against me as they were trying to do something before let go of me and I then swimed up to get some air as it all got black, and then i woke up here.." said she as she holding a short pause before she beging to speak again" do you think that could mean anything?... “ ask she as he sad down on the foot of the bed, slowly all the questions in her head began to come back one by one as she want to ask him so much about them.. but before she even could get to open her mouth again she could hear the sound of her stomach scream out it were hungry with a loud growl making her even blush more and look down into the ground “i`m sorry...”

"You may have been suffering from a concussion, that'd explain your memory loss if you fell unconscious with one..." He lifted his hand to push back a few strands of hair from her face, "Though don't see any sign of head injury... I'm sure Squad Four could take a look at-" Kurama was interrupted by the girl's rumbling stomach...

A light smile flashed on Kurama's face as the girl apologized for her stomach. It was so cute... Though he couldn't let thoughts like that enter his mind. He was a lieutenant of the Court Guard Squads after all...

"No need to apologize, I should have had something prepared for when you'd woken up. If you'd like, I know a nice little restaurant that's not to far from here. That is, if you're feeling well enough to travel..." He couldn't help but let his boyish charm undertone his voice as he spoke, in truth he was attracted to this girl, and no amount of training could mask his interest if some one where perceptive enough to catch wind of it...

Kuro kept looking down towards the floor, her cheeks growing warm and red every time she looked up at him. It was quite embarrassing to hear her own stomach rumbling but she couldn’t do anything about it, she was hungry...

She almost looked up at him with shining eyes as she heard that he would take her out to a little restaurant... “Really?!” she said, excited. She smiled and then suddenly looked down again as she thought about how eager she must have sounded…

He was so nice to her and she felt like she was just using him right now to get something she wanted...“I'm sorry... It would be really nice if we could go there...” She was still completely clueless about his interest in her, she was too hungry to even think about something like that right now… Eagerly she stood up with a little smile and then looked at him while still blushing pretty heavily...

Kurama smiled at the girl, "Alright, we can leave now if you'd like." Kurama reached up to touch the clothes hanging from the rafters. "You're clothes are still a bit damp, I'm sure they'll be dry again by the time we're done eating." Kurama took another look at her old set of clothes and noticed something he didn't see last night in the dark. "Oh, forget what I said. They're a bit torn, and there's still a few mud spots on it. I can have them mended for you later tonight..."

He walked towards the door and held it open for the young woman. "After you." A few thoughts crossed Kurama's mind as he began to wake up more. Who was this girl? What was she doing lying in the middle of the street, close to death? How come she seemed to give off such a small amount of spirit energy yet there is no doubting that the two blades he found by her body were zanpakuto... These questions would have to wait until later. Maybe he'd find something out over dinner...

He lead the girl to the izakaya that he usually went to whenever he was in town. Dozens of familiar red paper lanterns covered the front of the shop surrounding the word "Kobachi", the name of the shop. He help the door open for the girl and walked in behind her. Instantly the usual smell of the yakitori and sashimi wafted towards them. He heard the girl's stomach rumble again which made him chuckle and smile as he lead her to one of the tables.

The tables were rather low to the ground with tatami mats for them to sit on as opposed to th taller variety with chairs. He sat down and smiled as he saw Li coming out of the kitchen. She brought them each an oshibori to wash their hands and an otōshi, some sort of sushi wrap which seemed to be his usual when he came here. She pointed at the posted sign near their table which had "tabehodai" printed on it. Kurama laughed as he noticed the "all you can drink special" had been changed to "all you can eat". Most likely due to Ri's constant drinking...

He nodded and wrote a couple words in japanese script on a napkin, then flipped it over and asked what the girl would like to eat...

“yes! Lets go!” kuro said smiles as she were almost already walking out the door, before she looked up on the cloth he were touching as she saw up on the cloth she got quite for a moment, having a almost empty look in her eyes as she looked up on them like she had never see it before, but then again deep inside she felt she had see it before some were but she couldn’t remember, she want to say something but didn’t really know how to say it… standing there a little In her own thought, deep inside thinking before suddenly getting force to the surface again as she hear him talk to her once more..

“it’s okay…oh thank you..” said kuro slowly and walk out the door as Kurama held it open for her like a gentleman would do, she were a little surprised witch made her blush once again.. But then again, The guy had been nothing else but gentleman for her when she woke up and even before that.. she slowly blush once more thinking about the thought she had have the first time she woke up and looked at him... she looked down into the muddy road as she got out on the street, letting her bare feet down into the wet muddy ground slowly feeling the weird sensation..

kuro would look round her on the busy streets, seeing how people were walking around her she would almost be a little frighten by sensitization, like a child for the first time seeing snow and touching it.. slowly kuro would walk after Kurama, followling him the best she could through the muddy streets..she felt out of place as she could see the people around her all busy with there normal activates and some of them glaring at her as if she didn’t belong her.. she need a place were she belong to... “a place were I belong...” said she quite for herself while walking down the streets with him

she almost stumble into to him when he stooped, at the entrance of the little restaurant.. she would slowly walk inside as she face the wall of the smell of food her stomach growled once again at her making her even more embarrassed again.. she would sit down at the table he led her too and gently look at Otöshi when it was place on the table like a hungry wolf.. looking at what he wrote she would gently lean in over the table and take the pencil away from him.. and began to write on her own napkin “ yakitori..” it said as she turn her napkin towards him... kuro didnt really know how she knew it but her fingers had just moved on its own making the word she had wanted to say but didnt dare

After Li had taken the orders back to the kitchen, Kurama explained that the girl was mute. He usually wrote his order down so that she'd be able to take it to the cook, her brother Kentaro. Her brother spoke sign language though whenever an order came in written on a napkin, he knew it was the young soul reaper returning once again...

Kurama wiped his hands and began to eat the sushi wrap while he waited for his food to be made. After a couple bites he looked up at the girl in front of him. "You know, I never did introduce myself. I am Kurama Himura, Lieutenant of Squad Ten," he said, bowing "and you are?"

Kuro looked a little at the girl, Li as she walked away with their orders a little clueless why she haven’t said anything before she hear about kurama´s explaining about the girl been mute.. kuro looked a little down into the table as she feelt bad for Li as it had to be hard been mute for her and as well as her the famility but then again she had a place where she belonged to and kuro didn’t....

As she saw how kurama wiped his hands she almost imitate him trying to hold herself back while think about how she should eat the sushi wrap.. she would slowly try nip a little to the sushi wrap, before suddenly taking the hold wrap into her mouth and greedy chump it down.. as a wolf that were starving fast taking another wrap and then again another wrap before suddenly she felt him looking at her…

one more time she blush as it had been kind of rough of her to do such a thing eating with not manners .. looking down into the table she would her him introducing himself to her before he asking for her name“I don’t know… I can’t remember” she said slowly looking up on him again “I cant remeberer who I am..”

Kurama was surprised that the girl didn't even know her own name. "Well I'm sure somebody around here will recognize you. After we eat we can head over to the Shinigami Academy to see if you were a student there. If so they'd be able to look up your name for you." He turned back to his food and began eating. Smiling once in a while as he caught her trying to figure out the chop sticks. He couldn't help but find the girl adorable though it would be wrong of him to take advantage of a girl who'd lost her memories. She probably had a husband or boyfriend somewhere, there was no way a beautiful girl like her wouldn't be in a relationship with some one.

Kurama sighed and turned away from the girl before she noticed that he'd been staring. He stared down at his plate until he heard the kitchen doors open as Li returned with their drinks and meals. She took the empty sushi plates and headed back into the kitchen, leaving the two alone once more...

Kuro looked with a raised eye brow at Kurama as he said something about a Shinigami academy? And that she had maybe been a student... So maybe she were a student at that academy? to become an death god?..... What had she gotten herself into? before she had lost her memory? Maybe it were some kinda of wicked cult or maybe a murderess military trying to recruit young people to join a army or what else of crazy ideas there now could be... or maybe it was just a school?!... She didn’t know but could a guy like Kurama really be involved in such crazy things or maybe it were just her imagination “what do you mean with Shinigami??? “ said Kuro looking more or less suspicious at him while she were still trying to figure out how to use the chop stick with her hands just making it more difficult now...

as Li came with the food Kuro smile a little at her but she were still wondering about what Kurama meant but it was great that he would really do something like this for her.. “ and why do you think I should be a student?” said she and slowly to a sip of her drink looking up and him with a little smil trying to see his reaction

"You had two broken zanpakuto with you when I found you lying there in the street. You must be a shinigami but you were not in uniform, not only that but I don't sense a very powerful spiritual pressure coming from you... No offense. I'm actually suppressing my own spiritual pressure so that it doesn't overwhelm you." He began to eat once more and took a quick drink to wash it down before continuing. "The academy is a place where souls go to reveal there true potential and become members of the Gotei Thirteen. If you had been a student there then that would explain where the zanpakuto came from and why you were found in the rukongai and not the world of the living. Most new graduates are assigned a post there..."

A small clock on the wall chimed the hour. He took another few bites while he let her think for a moment. Classes would be starting soon, after they finished eating he could go meet with the the headmaster...

“but.. I don’t understand it fully... your saying im dead? How did I die? And What do you mean with spiritual pressure?...” said kuro looking even more confused that before at Kurama, as it were sound like mad man talk for her, but some were she want to to believe him, it was just that she couldn’t remember anything like this..” so your saying that im dead, that im a soul training to become a shinigami and I have two broke zanpakuto... I just don’t remember any of this Kurama i really want to believe you but it sounds crazy really... I don’t even know my name.. but lets go there and see if anybody have see me before at the academy” said she slowly while having a chop stick in each hand as she slowly were taking a piece meat with them and raising it up to her mouth and then taking a bite of it before begin to do the same thing again while blushing a lot as she knew how it had to look for others, the whole thing looked more or less awkward..

as she finally finish eating, she looked blushing up on Kurama with a little smile.. “thank you for the meal.. thank you for doing all this for me.. its really nice of you.. “ said she slowly and gently licked her lips... before looking down into to the table again blushing as her thoughts were taking some ideas inside her head a bit to far right now

Kurama listened as the girl explained her frustration. He had no idea how hard it must be to lose one's memories but he knew he had to help her in any way that he could. Once they'd finished their meals, he wiped his mouth with his napkin and looked up at her. She was gently licking her lips, removing the last drops of flavor from them. She thanked him before looking down, blushing once more. His face flashed several hues of red as well as he tried to shake the desires from his mind. He laid the money for their meals down on the table and stood up, brushing off his robes as his did so and tightening the sash that held his zanpakuto.

"Shall we?" He began walking towards the door as Li returned to bid them farewell. Kurama bowed and smiled before turning to exit the small restaurant, holding the door open for his new companion. The two walked across the town, heading in the direction of the academy. After about twenty minutes, they found themselves standing outside the pearly white walls of the Seireitei. It wasn't much longer before they arrived at the academy within, the main building towering over them. He lead the girl though the gate and through the doors, walking down long corridors as if he knew them by heart. After a few minutes he reached a large door marked "主要なオフィス" He stood before the door and knocked. It was a weird feeling, normal students had to kneel before the door as they knocked in show of respect to their elder though Kurama was now able to discard such formalities given his new rank.

A moment later and a voice called out for them to enter, Kurama slid open the door and lead the girl inside. The headmaster was seated behind a large desk piled with papers. Kurama smiled at the man who he'd had little contact with in person since his exams here. "Good morning Headmaster. I was wondering if you may be able to help me find out who this young woman is. I found her lying in the street last night and she seems to be missing her memories." The headmaster raised an eyebrow at him before looking to the girl. "I know this is an odd request but I was unsure where else to turn." The man nodded slowly and stood up.

"It is good that you have come to me for I have just received a special message from Central Forty-Six." Kurama's eyes widened as the man informed him of this. It was not often that the Central Forty-Six dealt with the academy, in fact it was extremely rare unless a crime were to occur. He glanced at the girl behind him momentarily before returning his gaze to the headmaster. "It seems that you have been made captain of your squad, congratulations."

The young shinigami was baffled at the news. It was especially rare for the Central Forty-Six to appoint a captain within the Gotei Thirteen. In fact... he'd never heard of such a thing. Nevertheless, it raised several questions, why him? Why so soon after being promoted to Lieutenant? And why did they inform the headmaster? At the very least, he'd ask the latter of the questions...

"Why send you this message? Why not send it straight to me?" The headmaster began pulling open a file cabinet drawer. "It seems that they have decided that you are to be my newest test subject."

"Test subject?" Kurama asked, confused. "Yes, I've been looking for a candidate to act as a mentor to one of the academy's students. A new form of teaching method, one-on-one training with some one of great experience. Out in the field rather than sitting behind a desk with a text book."

Kurama nodded slowly, it was a great idea but he was unsure if he was the man for the job. He wasn't exactly 'some one of great experience'. "Sir, I'm not so sure if I'm your man."

"Of course you are. In fact you are the perfect man for the job, you yourself found out how beneficial learning in the field was during your trial before graduation." Kurama nodded again, he was right after all. he was probably the only student to release his zanpakuto after only five years at the academy...

"Now then, what is your name Miss? I'll see if you are on file..."

“Yea… lets go…” said she with a little smile and slowly began to follow him out of the restaurant and out to the street, she could feel the eyes of people around staring at her, whispering about who she could be since she were wearing a kimono and it looked like she were been escorted by a shinigami, maybe a noble or something else.. kuro couldn’t hear the rest and she didn’t wanted to, she hate to be the mark of attation and that was one thing she knew, looking down into the ground as she follow Kurama across the town holding her head and staying close to kurama, as they arrived at white walls of the Seireitei, kuro look up oppon the wall amassed about the pearly white color but she were quick to walk behind after Kurama with her eyes looking down towards the ground trying not to make any eye contact with who ever there could be around her…

Gently following him through the gates and doors and the long corridors until they stop before a large door that were mark with some words, as she hear Kurama knock on the door she would gently hide a little behind him and follow him inside the headmaster’s room. She would just stay silence and look down into the ground while the headmaster and what seem to be the new assigned captain… but what was Central Forty-Six?.. standing there deep in her thoughts she were suddenly force out of her own little world as she hear the headmaster´s voice asking her for her name..

Slowly looking op on the headmaster trying to smile she would look then to Kurama not knowing what to say right now.. she just couldn’t remember anything at all it all just feelt like one big black hole.. “I don’t remember sir.. i mean headmaster... sorry I cant remember anything…” said she unsecure to the headmaster

well, damn... I finally post and it gets deleted... in short, Frost is now my apprentice and is allowed to don the squad 10 uniform and move about the Seireitei as long as she is accompanied by a member of the gotei 13...

She may pick a room within my house

as they got out of the headmaster office, kuro was smiling happily, finally she had a place to stay and it was because of Kurama, the guy that had save her not just one time now, but two times as he took her in and made her, his student.. even thought they still didnt knew who she were it right now didnt matter for her, she somehow felt like she was home inside her, as she blush a bit while she was gently followed after kurama down the halls for a bit before she had the courage to do want she want to...

“thank you Kurama... you dont know how that much that mean to me...” she said gently and took a hold in his arm trying to stop him as she would lean in towards him and kiss him on the cheek for a brief moment before she would begin to walk down the hall again as she was about go home with her captian...
