The pain of his arm was tremendous, the damage the human had given him was stronger than expected. Wounded he was worried of any attacks by shinigami or other hollows. He would like to retreat back to his forest, perhaps hide time he recovered. The frenzy of the fight still was with him, he had forgotten which way to go. Swinging with one are proved too difficult so he began to just leap from building to building. Frantic he kept his sense open, trying to be wary of potential enemies. This proved to further disorientate him, too much information at once. He could feel many different things going on around him. Two large signals very near his position. The information came too late, as a sudden explosion totaled the building he was sitting on and several others with it. He didn't have time to relax as a large body then fell upon the rubble, nearly flattening him. Since he was on top of the building when it toppled he didn't get buried completely. Shaken and stirred he watched the battle unfold around him. The creature being fought was amazingly huge the shinigami looked like gnats swarming about it's head. It was possible due to the monster's size he was going unnoticed. The large hollow looked like tower, it's feet barely showed from beneath. It's maw opened and a great burst of energy shot forth and everything hit by the ray exploded. The shinigami continued their assault on the beast, they suddenly parted and one shinigami approached the giant alone. Stratus felt a signal that dwarfed the giant's. Such a being to have such power and be so small was surprising. The giant opened it's mouth again and another blast of light came forth. This time it was repelled by the lone fighter. Stratus tried to suppress himself as much as possible. He didn't to be found out now, he tried to hide himself in the rubble. There was flash of light and he averted his gaze, the creature howled. When he looked again the monster was stumbling backwards, the air about it started to ripple. Almost like a curtain it pulled the air open to total blackness. "He's retreating!?" Stratus was shocked, and afraid. The titan was running from such a tiny figure, and with him leaving Stratus might be discovered. If the dark his way of escaping it could be a way out for Stratus as well. Time was running out, the monster was retreating in to the shadow and the ripple closing. Certain death if he stayed put, and a possible death if he entered the rift. With a grunt he made a dash for the shadow and dove in head first. The light faded and he fell.
