Tenma walked onto the training field that had become like a second home to him. He drew his zanpakuto and began running through his normal training kata's. It was purely to work up a sweat and to get some exercise. Soon however he began to get extremely bored. As he ran through the training exercise he soon heard a person walk onto the training ground.
He turned around and saw a man he didn't recognize. The man had black hair in a military cut, and was about 6 foot tall. He had a normal katana length zanpakuto on his waist and he looked to be about 24 years old. He had a powerful build and he had green eyes. He bowed politely and drew his zanpakuto. Tenma nodded back silently and drew his as well, he then took his stance and watched the man carefully.
Suddenly the man moved forward and struck out toward Tenma with a horizontal slash aimed at Tenma's legs. Tenma blocked the blow and brought his leg up to kick the man in the stomach. He then spun around quickly and slashed at the man from his left shoulder down to his right hip. The man blocked the blow however and struck out again with a thrust toward Tenma's chest. Tenma ducked under the blow and disengaged from the man and took his stance once more.
The man did the same however and Tenma then began to move quickly toward the man. He stabbed toward the mans left shoulder while he reached for the mans zanpakuto and disarmed him. His blade bit into the mans shoulder and Tenma quikcly sweeped the mans legs out from under him.
Tenma then stood over the man with his zanpakuto tip again the mans neck and smiled politely. "I think I win this day friend, but it was a good match either way." He said as he moved the tip of his blade away from the mans neck and helped him up. The man then bowed and picked up his zanpakuto. He then left without saying a word.
Tenma shrugged at the situation as he thought stranger things had happened. He then went back to his sword kata's in order to gain more exercise. He worked on them for the rest of the day and for awhile after dark. He smiled as he left the training grounds as he had actually had some fun that day.
