Searching the Endless Barren Wasteland (Rin only)

Allies, those to follow him along his path of glory. What will become of him if he does not form his own path. Raikou sure as hell knew he wasn't a follower. He always had to be the alpha in any given situation. What would he have to do to find some decent fighters and allies. None of these second rank hollows even appealed to him besides a good meal. Hell, they'd barely be fitting for him after the meal Kaiyo supplied him.

Through the darkness did he continue to wander. Lusting for some companion that'd obey him and his every word. Perhaps a good fight was in order. Around here in this vast, dark desert were some that held such potential but which one wouldn't betray later on? He would see at a later date.

The shadow raced over the rippling white sands, the air
about it disturbed by a low humming of wings beating against it. It was
there the being she seeked, it was small, but it would do, it would never
see the end coming, not at the speed at which she moved.

It came into focus the pathetic excuse, the muscles in her arms tighten
and then flexed out as her lean body swooped down, the air echoing
with the cry that wailed from gaping mouth. Tiny beady eyes turned on her
too late, it was already in the tightening grasp of her arms, one set holding
tightly around the body as the hands of the other gripped about the neck, the
pressure increasing as she landed a few feet away.

The desire to fill the constant emptiness was now overwelming as she held the
pathetic thing with in her arms, the mouth that was hidden behind her mask stretched
into a grin, and as she settled into the sands, her mask cracked open revealing the
fangs of her mouth, throwing back her head letting out a long cry, she drove her slicing
teeth into the flesh, tearing out a slimy chunk.

The aesthetic scent of a feminine hollow? Not possible. This was something that was left unseen as of yet. The larger beast kept on the prowl; lurking and stalking until the female was spotted. Quite the peculiar being she was. From this distance, it seemed that she was already feasting on some poor, unfortunate being. She was one who could fly as well. The fight should be a bit fun.

His dark purple tongue ran over the upper teeth's length of the mask. A tasty feast for now or a challenge. But, deep down within the bowels of darkness. The beast felt that he knew that girl. Something was going to mess him up in the end game. The blood of the poor beast came to the ground within the same motion that clear liquid left the wolf's mouth and dripped onto the crisp white sands only to make it darker.

A swift passing wind, a bellowing howl, the massive claw marks making their path from behind the female. A dash to the left changing his path then to the right. The male was intent on confusing as well as capturing this one. Those deep indents only showing where he was but also made it hard to discern where he was truly heading. Left, right, center... the path constantly changed until he pounced, The dark sky shadowed his form except for those darkened crimson eyes. The path of a hunter was once again formed as that heavy claw came down upon the distracted girl's back. The embedding blood that might have been made upon connection was what he wanted.

Arms flexed and release her grip on her prey, the body falling silently to the
blood soaked sands. The howl announcing that she was not alone on the vaste
barren land, her mouth opening to let out a shriek, the muscles of her legs tensing,
wings stretching out in preparation to take off.

It seared through the flesh of her back, just below the wings she felt the flesh tear,
her body pinned down in the sands, the blood oozed from the shallow wound, her
head came back a glare in those glinting green eyes, a glowing green mist would begin
to form around the legs of the one who held her down, a gurgling hiss shot from
her mouth.

Surging emotions, deathly attraction was what now stopped this beast from tearing this girl limb from limb. The glare caused him to be paralyzed to a point but at the same time he seemed to be resisting. It was such a small point that he could. Nothing commanded him at this time to remove his claw from her back os he slowly pressed it in while shuddering.

The beast tried to rip his gaze from hers but to no avail; it would so happen that he would be under her spell temporarily. "You...." he said in a dark, deep-seated tone. He couldn't stand being in this state; those dark crimson eyes met her glinting emerald orbs. That burrowing disgust made itself evident within his snarl. Her escape was going to be hard if she couldn't virtually pull his claws from out of her back since of course he was substantially bigger than her in this case.

The glowing green mist would thicken around the legs, moving along the torso
of his body, she let out another hiss at the pressure of his claw weighing down
upon her back. Eye narrowing at the voice, a hidden grin beneath the smooth mask,
escape is what was the most obvious choice, his size was massive compared to her,
she would have the advantage in the air.

Ignoring the pressure and the flesh that was caught by his massive claw, the
muscles of her body would tense up, arching her back up quickly. This would cause
her to rip her own flesh open more as she threw her weight up, sending his claw out.
Stretching her wings out she would bring them back quickly clipping the underside of
his jaw forcing his head into an upward position.

Not wasting time using her speed to her advantage, she found herself released from
underneath him, turning to face him, the glow of her eyes still focused upon him, the
mist thickening around him, her legs tensed up ready to take to the air.

It was getting harder and harder for the wolf to move. God, what was this annoying mist and why was it getting harder for him to motion himself. If only he could motion himself properly, then he could catch the little bug and squash it. Though she seemed like she would be a good ally. "What...is this.." Raikou snarled and strayed still just then. His eyes forcibly closed and his head bowed down as if he submitted to the mist itself.

Deep within his stomach came an immense Reiryoku reading. The Reiatsu around his form dampened a bit to show his slight superiority over her. Now was the time she would have trouble. The struggle to not look into those alluring emerald obs of hers was beyond too much. "Sombra....." he whispered softly. His body quivered under the effects of the mist "Raya!" That word he grunted, raised his head and bellowed forth a strong yet light violet shaded beam.

Her distance pretty much ensured that this blast would do some damage to her. They were both technically on equal footing with one another. Those dark ruby eyes glared off at the female's wings as he was just waiting for her to take off. What would the woman do in her defense? Would she be heavily damaged by the beam or merely scathed as she flew into the air.

The pressure in the air about him was changing...the instinct of escape became
more prominant, she was not a fool, his skills out matched her own, and she
was not going to let herself die in the stinking clasp of his jaws. Arching herself
forward she let out a shrieking hiss at him, her muscles in her legs sprang and getting
her height before her wings took their full wingspan.

Dragonflies are known for their excellent flying ability, and the impossible way the
can make sharp turns and angles, this skill was very useful, it made it easier to escape
from the bigger of her kind and also to attack her unknowing prey, in this case...it kept
her body intact, in that last second, her body moved sharply to the left, so that the
purple beam just skimmed her arm sizzling the first few layers of flesh.

Letting out another shriek, she would take off in the air, the hum of her wings breaking
through the silence of the darken sky, the mist surrounding him would disapate
as the distance between them grew.

The paralyzing mist dissipated as she got farther apart and damned she got away or was trying to. Her blood spilled from her back and onto his mask . It was more like that man was like a jackal than anything because of his constant teasing snickering. The female was trying to escape, how cute. Especially with wounds like those; it was very stupid to try and escape with those.

Raikou's body snapped as he rushed off after the female via ground pathways. Within his stomach was forming yet another strong concentration of Reiryoku. Though, this one seemed different as he took one leap forward and skid on the ground then pushed off once more to try to get a bit ahead of her.

Once that small amount of distance was obtained; Raikou stopped and quickly thrusted his head upwards and howled loudly. A larger and darker violet tinted beam shot forth aiming to hit the female. If it did or didn't then its direction was going to be the same. The beam was going to arc downwards along the same flightpath and only if it got her, push her down to the ground and burn her to a particular degree.

Her fangs gritted together behind her mask in irratation
at this mangy wolf, the hum of her wings through the air would grow louder
as they beat faster trying to maintain her speed, but the oozing tear upon
her back was causing this to become a harder task that usual.

As she flew across the wavering sands she darted left and right her flight
pattern not sticking to a straight line trying to throw him off, but his determination
was beyond a nuisiance. Sensing the attack speeding toward her, she would stop
suddenly in mid air and fly in reverse, his attack missing her eniterly.

With a loud screeching hiss, she turned back on him, this was a reckless move
since she was the weaker opponent, swooping down on him at full speed, she would
straighten her body out, allowing the muscles in her legs to tense up as if she was
preparing to land, but instead she drove her feet down with all the power of her dive,
concentrating on the top of his head and with that force pushed his face into the sands
with a thud, using his head once more to push herself off and back into the air.

Urgh! His attack missed and he was about to get kicked in the face, again! Wait, never mind, he wasn't. Raikou pushed off the ground with one fierce movement so that kick hit the shadowed pearly sandy. The sands bellowed upwards with a sparking tenacity. His tail brushed against the female's leg just to show how close he was to getting stomped. The indents of his claws and her footprint were stuck deep within the ground.

Now this wasn't going to be good at all for Raikou. He quickly discerned that he would be easy blurred prey for someone who could fly. much less move that fast. The beast pushed off forward and busted out of the congregating sandy breath. His own heavily beating from his nostrils as he tried to look back towards the female and above.

His movements were similar to that of hers while in the air; moving from left to right, jumping forth then darting the other direction. He was trying to make it seem like he was the vulnerable one, which he was along with leading her to some place or into a certain situation where he had a particular advantage.

Fighting theme music; rushing along the path

She would follow his erratic movements above him from the sky, stopping
suddenly she would circle around to face him, the hum of her wings mixing with
the loud hiss she screeched toward him, glinting green orbs would narrow at
him, an echoing voice would speak from behind the mask.

"reikon nusumi gyoushi "

The green mist from before would appear swirling about his feet as he jumped
and darted about.

Raikou really was beginning to loathe this female before him and her slowing motions. Gah, he stopped in his tracks, turning the kinetic energy he was using and transferred it back into potential energy. That intense build-up sparked his next move. That powered pounce that would most likely end up with him on top of her. The deadly sideswipe of that claw followed by the twisting of his form and lashing of his tail within the air. All in one determined movement.

"Grr...." The beast had absolutely no words for that female right then and there. All he wanted was to see her grounded on her back so he could tear her to shreds, among other things. Those crimson eyes protruded through that thick ivory mask. Those razor sharp claws hopefully were to be matted with that dark ooze.

Damn, the mist was not allowed enough time to thicken around his
feet, the previous wound was taking its toll upon her, but she would
not give in so easily, the instinct to stay alive and fight was boiling
over and as he pounced toward her with all of his force, she would not
dart out of his way.

Instead her muscles tensed awaiting the impact of his weight, and as his
paws forced her down out of the air, each set of arms would grip around
his neck and around his frame, the sounds of bone cracking would be heard
as the mouthless mask would begin to split open, revealing her fangs. A
high shirek would emit from her before she drove them down into his neck,
biting and locking them into his flesh.

The white sands billowed about as the impact of both of their bodies hitting
the ground thundered across the air, the sands slowly disappating.

She was a smart one;she grappled his body while he had his claws to slash across her chest. That mark along with the one on her back should have made her suffer some major pain when they were sliding. However, now there was another problem; she was biting his neck which in turned caused him to bleed while he was crushing her with his body weight. "Get...off..." He groaned as his Reiatsu reading began to get higher once more. That choking sense was what she should have been getting. That same ooze began pouring from the edges of his jaw.

"Get off!!!" Raikou roared as he demanded the girl tyo get off. A strong sense of Reiryoku temporarily came out of him within his fit of rage. The sand around them shifted and his body struggled to escape her grasp. The forearm that was captured between their bodies resisted and pushed. The wolf continued to groan and roar with agony as he felt his bones being somewhat crushed. His tail lashed constantly about the ground to further move the sand beneath them.

"I will become...a vasto lorde..." Raikou spoke within his mind. The thought pushing him to his limits. He couldn't die, he just couldn't. That same phrase came out within a low growl that repeated itself until he came out into a full on howl with it.

Glinting green eyes glared upward at him, the muscles in her arms
tightening more trying to keep him with in her grasp, as her fangs dug
deeper into the already oozing flesh. This was her only chance, she had
to end this here and now...that eeire green mist would once again form
around him, thickening slowly.

His constant thrashing about and the pressure of his claws digging into
the fresh wound upon her chest was making the possibility of keeping a
firm grasp on him futile, her grip would lessen just ever so slightly around
his form, the cracking of his bones stopping. The mist was taking to long, her
energy weak from bloodloss and injuries.

Desperation! The arms that hand a grip around his next would tighten fiercly,
the intent was to snap the bones under the base of his mask, with her fangs
still deeply imbedded in his flesh a muffled gurgle would be heard. The pressure
of the fangs increasing as the flesh began to tear. But quiet suddenly her actions
would pause. "Vasto Lorde?" he intended to become a what? Her intentions now
shifted she wanted to know what he meant.

The green mist would disappear, and in the same instant his howl sounded,
with the last bit of strength left in her arms, she would swing his thrashing form
off of her tearing out a small chunk of the oozing flesh as she did. Rolling over quickly
and scrambling to her feet, his blood ozzing from the fangs, that soon disappeared as
the mouth closed, making her mask completely smooth once again. Pressing a hand over
her over her wound, her eyes would narrow at him. The voice echoing from behind
the mask.

"Whats...this...Vasto Lorde??"

The claws deepened their mark upon her flesh the harder he pushed and once he was tossed off so rudely they slashed across her chest of course. She wanted to know what he meant by a Vasto Lorde? After what just happened, there was little to no chance of him telling her what it actually was. In all honesty, he beyond wanted to take this chance to blast her into next century. "Why should I tell you?" Raikou snarled and stood up with a flowing ooze coming from his neck. "You took a chunk from my neck and by the looks of it, you barely have the energy to fight back. Why should I not kill you?" The male lowered himself closer to the ground as if he was going to pounce like a cheetah or a typical wolf.

Then he began to think; What if she could help him along his journey? The snarling, growling and glowering and basic overall wolf raging came to a halt there. Raikou stood erect and proud in front of the female. His elegance showing its true form. "I'll tell you if you follow me." The wolf like hollow turned around and began heading off. It's eyes narrowed with his back fully exposed to her. She was no longer a threat to his form

Arrogant beast! Hidden teeth clenched together as he turned his back on her,
what she wouldnt give to tear another chunk from him. Verbally she would
never admit that he had bested her and she was weaken now after their little
skirmish, but she was not defeated, she still breathed and still had the determination
to fill that gapping emptiness that was her present exsistence.

Foolish, to follow him! For all she knew he was plotting! Let her guard down put letting
his own down, having her follow and then turn and pounce her. She couldnt trust him as much
as he trusted her, this exsistence was a the survival of oneself, there we no allies.
She let out a long low hiss as he walked away from her.

But what was this Vasto Lorde he spoke of? Ahh! Dammit!
What ever he may think, she was not following him because he said so.
Slowly her feet shuffled through the sand after him, her hiss gurlging lowly
in her throat stating her irratation with the situation.
