The young shinigami didn't hope to catch the captain with those moves, it was obvious but the way she moved was remarkable already he was taking notes on how he should keep going, but she quickly stepped out of the two nicely placed kicks towards her direction. Quickly enough she moved away from his threatening zone simple to give him a comment before charging in his general direction. Seeing as she was keeping her stance low, Tatsu quickly raise his leg high up in the air, and attempted to smash it down on the incoming captain, in a hammer drop kick, but she was way too fast for him the typist thought the hit landed straight in guts, losing some of his breath Tatsu saw the incoming hit towards his jaw and just barely dodged, barely dodged enough to take an elbow straight to the face. Everything was going so fast and Tatsu didn't think a fight could be this hardcore, the captain was skilled and he didn't even pose a challenge, those were his thoughts when another kick came from below straight for his collar bone. The admirable fact about Tatsu at this point was that he was still standing up, he was dazed and stunned but still standing up, there was now three blond girls in his view but both his legs had remained on the ground.

Tatsu was almost losing it untill Kaiyo made a comment that gave Tatsu another reason to fight, he needed to impress her, he needed to prouve that he was worthy of the headband. He shaked his head and moved towards her once more, it was obvious he couldn't take on another hit like she just gave him but he really wanted to show her he could deserve the present she gave him. The young shinigami took a quick step forward, but it was a feint and he took a step backwards putting his hand on his zanpakuto handle. ''You won the first round, now onto the second'' Tatsu knew the captain could beat him without her sword, even though she could probably make it appear in her hand if she wanted to, she young shinigami quickly unsheathed his blade and attempted a swipe at her stomach level, followed quickly by, something very unusual, a kick, straight for her legs, quickly chained with another rising sword slash.

Kaiyo's smile only seemed to grow at Tatsu's words, the Captain was quite possibly too a engulfed in her own happy thoughts of combat to pay attention fully to the matter at hand. Kaiyo's eyes fluttered slightly as she arched her shoulders forwards, pushing her stomach back at the quick slice to her middle cut cleanly through her white Haori. Still keeping her balance on the front of her feet, Kaiyo followed through with the kick at her legs, flipping forwards onto her feet as she landed low, ducking away from the other slice.

Kaiyo's hair fanned outwards as she spun around, (apparently liking the spinning-round-feeling) as she brought her right palm, open, around with her. Thrusting it upwards into Taka's ribs. Though still making a conscious effort to not strike too hard, an unfortunate accident had left one guy with a few broken ribs for a while, well at least it could now be viewed as learning curve. Kaiyo slid her right foot across the ground, hoping to knock Tatsu's feet backwards, twisting her torso quickly after this kick, Kaiyo swung out her right elbow, hoping to clip Tatsu's face. Of course the elbow strike was based more on a mild calculation that his had should fall there, though the likelihood of Kaiyo swinging at air was also quite possible. Kaiyo kept in close range, still keeping her stance with each attack she made, she preferred close range combat a lot more anyway.

Tatsu had used most of his fighting abilities to fight the captain and most of it ended in vain, but most of his attempts never had gotten this close, he actually gotten a cut on her clothings, which could be considered amazing coming from a mere student of the academy. Seeing as the captain swiftly evaded everything Tatsu had launched at her was amazing, he kept taking more and more notes in his head, making sure to keep every detail the girl was doing. The only thing Tatsu really had the time to try when the captain entered her low stance to duck was to move his knee in the general of her face, knowing that the captain could most likely take the hit if it could land.

Before Tatsu actually knew anything about his hit, a blow landed on his rib cage, making the air in his lungs run away, he tried to remain steady and crush down a punch in her direction, but her leg swooped him from the ground and made him fall right on the ground and as soon as the elbow flew in his direction, he brought up both his arms in an X fashion making sure the block was going to be strong enough for the captain's strength.

"You win the second round, lets call it a pause" the young man said, slowly trying to catch back his breath, never moving the captain away.

Kaiyo's face lit up with a gentle smile, dropping her stance the girl held her hand out to help Tatsu back up to his feet. Kaiyo glanced around in the field, granted it gave more of a 'barren wasteland' appearance now-a-days, but that point was meaningless. 'Pause sounds good to me. Now i think i remember an offer for some Ramen?' she smirked lightly. Kaiyo was, in truth, bloody starving, and what better way to talk about combat and other fun subjects, than over a warm bowl of ramen.

Kaiyo had been known for her, lack of focus, both in normal work and most combat. Despite her natural affection for such heart pumping exercise, the girl had serious concentration issues. 'Come on, i'm paying!' she cheered lightly, her hunger seemingly increased since she remembered the mention of food. Kaiyo ruffled her hair slightly in the breeze, trying to roughly sweep it back into place; it felt odd not wearing her headband, but at the same time, it made her feel somewhat proud that she had given it to Tatsu.

The young shinigami accepted the given hand, getting back up to his feet with a brief look over at himself seeing as he did bite the dust against her, it made him chuckle. ''What a day, and yeah, Ramen it is!'' the young shinigami said with a short laugh, visibly feeling alot more warm hearted. Tatsu was hungry too, he had been given the shitty food they give at the academy, as usual and he absolutly loved ramen.

Replacing the newly acquired headband in his hair, making sure it would remain there for the rest of the day, considering they wouldn't fight once more, the young shinigami replaced his zanpakuto within its sheath and replaced it on his belt, tightening it at the same time. ''I'd be stupid to refuse that offer''

Not really in the mood of waiting since ramen was at the end, Tatsu began walking at once, already day dreaming about epic fights and large bowls of ramen.

Kaiyo bounded along after Tatsu. Dragging her feet slightly as they trudged through the ashen field. Kaiyo glanced down to her sliced Haori, giggling slightly as she lifted it up to get a good look, 'Ya know i go through so many of these...I think i might get a different colour on the inside next time, maybe red' she mused for a moment. Kaiyo had only just come to terms with even having to wear a silly white coat everywhere. The pair finally joined onto the streets again.

Kaiyo knew most of the good noddle bars around, but she had no real preference, as long as she got some food. The streets around the Academy were a lot cleaner than the lower down districts, obviously. There was still rebellion against Shinigami though, so the stares varied between admiration and hatred. Kaiyo didn't mind, she was used to it, and she knew that she'd still help any of them, so she felt fairly secure in her choices. 'So, which one we heading to? Nearest?'.

Kaiyo glanced up to the sky, squinting in the sun as she dropped her head back down to the street that lay ahead. Deep thinking time perhaps? 'Hmm, i never really thought about being Captain of the 11th squad, i always assumed i'd have been transferred by now'. The girl glanced back to Tatsu, considering she should have saved just thought until they'd sat down perhaps, but rambling thoughts seemed to just spill out of her head a lot.

Crossing his arms in front of himself the shinigami walked and wondered already what kind of ramen he would eat, the sun was present and they were walking through what was remaining of the training field, day dreaming of water to drink when the captain asked him where he wanted to go. ''Honestly, closest is the best'' Tatsu said with half a smile, hair going in his long hairs, making the ribbon flip flap with the wind.

Tatsu's mind was quite empty even though the captain seemed in her own thoughts, entering the district surounding the academy many people were looking at Tatsu, some of them in disdain some others in a way you look at a hero, he didn't really care. When he was about to say something the captain started speaking. ''What do you mean, are you suposed to be a replacement or something? Do you mean they need someone more epic than you at the bar of the 11th division...its going to be hard work cause you're epic like no other'' The shinigami said with a large smile on his face.

PostSubject: Re: Away from a lecture    Away from a lecture - Page 2 I_icon_minitimeWed Aug 04, 2010 6:26 pm

Kaiyo laughed at Tatsu's less than subtle flattery, 'Naah, well, i made Captain differently to the tradition for most 11th squad Captains...I wasn't going to kill him' she mused in a more sombre tone, killing another soul just wasn't her style. Still, Kaiyo had never exactly looked like the traditional 11th squad member. The Captains were usually scary, cold, and butch men that were covered in scars. Granted, Kaiyo did have a fair few battle scars, but most had faded, or were hidden on her back or stomach. The girl had always feared that she'd end up with a large scar along her face, that would be less than ideal.

'I dunno, i'm just a bit different i guess.' The Captain gestured to the right, approaching the nearest noddle bar as she held the door open to Tatsu. Nodding her greeting to the owner as they took a seat at the back. Kaiyo hopped down onto her chair, still talking. 'Ya know the only reason i joined the 11th squad in the first place was because i was so bad at Kidou' she laughed. It was true, Kaiyo's klidou skills were quite legendarily bad. Although the girl had in fairness gotten a lot more proficient in the demon arts. Kaiyo scratched the back of her head lightly, shrugging with a mild confusion. 'Maybe one day i'll become Captain of the 10th squad or something' she joked lightly, though a genuine ponderance to that effect was hidden beneath her words.

Kaiyo's attention was drawn by the owner, who had appeared next to the pair. Bowing low as he waited for Kaiyo to notice him. The man seemed all to eager to be serving any members of the Gotei 13. 'Hi there, can i get some green tea and a bowl of chicken Ramen please' she smiled, looking over to Tatsu as she waited for him to order.

Tatsu shrugged at her comment about not killing him, he didn't know if all the captains before him did that but he was about to say his thought about the comment Kaiyo made. ''In my opinion...don't take it personal if you don't agree, the way you take to achieve what you want doesn't really count, the end justifies the means, but that might be saying that I'm not open minded.'' The shinigami trailed on, not really knowing if waht he said was out of place or not, he knew that if his life was on the line, he wouldn't mind betraying his honor.

After a short chuckle Tatsu, and a short nod of his head in a thankful manner at the captain that just openned him the door. ''You wouldn't this epic if you were like all the others. After sitting down, and nodding towards the man behind the counter, the young shinigami turned towards the captain and laughed. ''I dislike Kidou...there's no fun in fighting with kidou...there's no thrill to exploding the face of your opponent from 200 meters away..and on top of things..I failed my kidou tests...which is why I'm still at the academy..'' A short chuckle leaving his mouth, but also the little pin point of self hatred towards himself, probably meant the he hated to be weak, he wanted to master the art of fighting, that was another one of his goals. ''Well, my goal one day is to become lieutenant, maybe your lieutenant, that would be awesome.'' The seat of lieutenant wasn't an easy one to get, but the real weird thing is knowing why he wanted lieutenant and not captain.

Tatsu turned towards the noodle master and nod nodded towards him. ''Exactly what you just said, you read my mind sir'' half a smile given towards the man, of course Tatsu was a nice person, but he was still a little weird, and finding his nice side wasn't something everyone was able to do so fast.

Kaiyo laughed at Tatsu, nodding rapidly in agreement, 'I failed my Kidou exam three times in a row' . Perhaps not a record to be proud of, but it had been an eventful experience for Kaiyo. Her teacher had nearly killed her she was so mad, but she passed eventually. Still, there was a stickler attached to the words, the point of mild annoyance and doubt, where a shinigami was unable to progress in rank due to one fault.

The noodle man looked puzzled at Tatsu for a moment, bowing lower, he returned to the kitchen. Kaiyo watched the man leave out of the corner of her eye, her gaze flickering back to Tatsu as she leant back in her chair slightly. 'Yeah, a lieutenant would be cool, hey, you get strong enough, and i'll give you a fair chance at it' she smiled. The competition for rank in the 11th squad was highly competitive, seeing as there was a continual struggle over who was stronger. Kaiyo had never bothered with it all, still, she'd enjoyed being a Lieutenant.

There was one point of Tatsu's words that had stuck in the girl's mind. Niggling at the back with a mild annoyance, and curiosity. Kaiyo leant back in her seat as the man returned with green tea for the pair. The Captain shuffled forwards on her chair, arching her back slightly as she rested her elbows along the table. 'So, what is it you think all the Captains are like then?' she puzzled lightly.

After a short chuckle the shinigami nodded when the captain talked to him, almost choking on his own words at the fact she failed three times, not laughing at her of course, but laughing at the fact they were similar in another point. Tatsu had already failed many times but he didn't give much heart at it, if it would take too much time he'd find another solution to his problem. ''Pardon me, never thought someone could be as bad as me...no offence. The obvious full smile on his face meant that he was kidding of course.

The smile remaining on Tatsu face when Kaiyo said that she would give him a fair chance at being the 11th division's fuka-taicho. ''Wow..that's something amazing you've just told me, giving me possibilities like that, thats awesome, you'll see I'll achieve shikai in no time and beat the hell out of anyone wanting my spot. Tatsu's determination was unparalleled he just needed that little push out of the academy and he would be just rushing up ranks like a dozer through a wall.

After a slight shrug Tatsu looked at the captain, becoming a little more serious about what she just asked, answering to that could reveal alot of thing's about Tatsu's way of thinking, but he wasn't going to lie to the taicho, not because he feared her, but because he respected her. ''You see, I believe Captain's should be inspiring figures you know, but when I look at them, I see someone that doesn't reflect what I want to see in a leader..just like the academy trainers..'' The way Tatsu talked about the academy hid a tad of hatred...all h wanted was to get out of it as soon as possible.

PostSubject: Re: Away from a lecture    Away from a lecture - Page 2 I_icon_minitimeWed Aug 11, 2010 8:09 pm

Kaiyo's smile erupted at Tatsu's comment, she had in fairness gotten better, though really, any spell she cast was at risk of killing her. The girl lowered her head downwards as she smiled, sweeping her head backwards as her head landed back out of her face. 'Fine, but i call first test of your shikai' she smirked lightly, Kaiyo did love a good spar every now and then; though that was fairly common knowledge really.

Still, this guy was definitely not the normal academy student. Unlike the others who assumed getting into a squad would be the end of the story, he had the determination and likely matching potential to go further, and succeed. It was refreshing to see someone like that, usually years of the same boring missions had a habit of breaking such enthusiasm out of people. Even Kaiyo had become less excitable, though the countless battles and missions that had resulted in deaths of her own friends and subordinates probably had something to do with that. Kaiyo didn't linger too long on such a thought, she didn't like to remember death, especially when life was nearly always much nicer. The girl couldn't argue that Tatsu reminded her of herself though, the determination to go far, and willingness to do so, and awful kidou skill. It all matched up.

The girl's face turned more serious for a moment. Nodding slightly in acknowledgement of what he said, Kaiyo took another sip of her green tea. The girl knew what he meant, but she always knew how much of a strain it was to be a hassle, and the constant demands didn't help for making polite inspiring people all the time. The girl couldn't fight back a short smirk though, 'Ya know i had one teahcer at the academy, and i swear she just hated me. She seriously just picked on me all the time, and got mad at everything i did...'Kaiyo's voice trailed off as she raised an eyebrow with her closing statement, 'She was probably the best teacher i had'. Kaiyo shuffled back in her chair to get comfy, taking a larger gulp of her green tea this time.

The girl ran her finger along the rim of her glass as she spoke. 'As for the Captain thing, i know what you mean i think, but it is a hard job, so don't expect me to be smiling all the time' she giggled, still keeping the tone light. 'But, ya know, it's the hardest thing anyone can do, because we're the ones who are responsible, for hundreds of our squad members, and sometimes, its hard to inspire all of them' the girl shrugged with a flippant thought. Her smile fading back onto her face once more, 'But ya know, it's easier for me, people know i don't follow the rules so well, but i can inspire people to fight better sometimes'. Of course for the combat squad a bit of combat helped everything, the red tape surrounding most matters though didn't helped so much. So kaiyo, as a rule of thumb, tended to ignore the rules all together. The Academy was equally annoying with such strict rules, and with many teachers also favouring nobles, the places wasn't the most pleasant for a lot of people. But it produced soldiers, so no questions were raised.

Tatsu never did get better, and honestly he didn't really want to get better and it could be felt in the tone he spoke in his previous words. The captain spore magical words, finally someone believed in him, someone believed that he would work his way up, so he looked at the captain with a mischievous grin. ''I'll get to kick your ass then. I won't give you any chance to beat me this time. The young shinigami said jokingly as if he had given her a chance to beat him the first time. Tatsu too, loved a good spar, not a fight where you are sure to win, those are the bests.

The captain was a nice person Tatsu thought up to now, someone to look up to since they were similar, just like a big sister or something. Tatsu re tightened the red headband at that moment, as if he wanted to show her he would take really good care of it. ''One day, I'll be on par with you on the battlefield, and that's a promise. Tatsu said holding his sticks as if it was something to swear an oath with. He wanted someone to be proud of him, and that wasn't really complicated to understand.

The shinigami listened to what the taicho said about her instructor and a faint smile took birth on the side of his mouth. ''Has it ever happened to you, that you realised you were better than the teacher and could sit out of the class without really needing to practise because you know you're better than most people in the room?'' Of course he wasn't talking about Kido anymore but of sword training. ''I found this seated officer before you came around, and were it not for his shunpo..that I still can't manage to master, I would've been on par with him I think.''

Tatsu nod nodded at her comment about the captain thing, Tatsu hassled himself to reply to her comment. ''Of course I didn't mean that, but I believe that well -At this point the shinigami was looking for his words- I don't know..I just have a good feeling about you I guess.'' It wasn't something that Tatsu really could explain with his words he had a good feeling it was all. ''I just can't wait for the graduation school again..I'll try my best to suceed that damned Kido..even though I still have a hard problem with the shot of red fire..'' The way the young shinigami spoke, it kinda felt like he knew he was about to fail the exam anyhow.

PostSubject: Re: Away from a lecture    Away from a lecture - Page 2 I_icon_minitimeFri Aug 13, 2010 7:15 pm

Kaiyo couldn't hold back the laugh at Tatsu's challenge, the girl shut her mouth tightly so as not to laugh in his face, instead just trying to nod in agreement. Oh yes, next time he wouldn't be so kind as to let her win. Still, Kaiyo could already tell it wouldn't be a half bad fight. The girl did at least manage to turn serious for a moment, promises of such grandeur deserved only un-divided attention, in Kaiyo's opinion at least. 'I look forward to it' she smiled, her large blue eyes seeming to grow as she did so, her face lit up.

Kaiyo noticed the headband part as well, a small gesture that really meant at lot. It was good to know something she treasured so much, would at least be kept in good hands. That was weird as well actually, Kaiyo could distinctly remember breaking one guys arm because he thought stealing her headband would be a good joke. Of course, she'd had it sliced into 3 since then, 3 of the same original that meant she didn't have to fold it over anymore. That didn't lower it's meaning for the girl, if anything, it gave her more things to protect. So giving away something she'd cared so much for, something she had to remember her only sister from. It was a lot, and Kaiyo just did it, so seemingly easily. The girl had allowed her mind to wander, her head snapped back to Tatsu. Her eyes more alert with a conscious listening face.

That was an odd thought though. Kaiyo raised an eyebrow to Tatsu, maybe he was better than the academy teachers, but in her opinion, the soul reaper academy teachers could rival any Lieutenant with ease. Kaiyo waited until the question was over, still a little bemused by the statement at all. The assumption that he had nothing else to learn. Kaiyo bit her bottom lip for a second, trying to find the words to explain her response. 'Ya know, right before i left the academy, my teacher, the one i told you about before. She started telling me off again, and said if i couldn't beat he in a spar, she'd make me repeat every full year at the academy. She was allowed to use her sword, and i wasn't. I figured it had just been because she knew i was better than her. So anyway, we had a spar, and for the most part, i was losing, a lot. I'd sparred with her before, and i'd always assumed i was way faster than her, but when she fought me that last time, she fought me for real. And she kicked my ass' Kaiyo laughed, holding her hand up with a mild gesture so Tatsu knew she wasn't done, just as she took another swig of her green tea. 'Eventually though, after about an hour of her yelling at me for being so bad, i landed a single hit on her. Just the one, and she called an end to the fight' Kaiyo paused, clearly a bit more embarrassed of the ending, 'So, once again, and i told her this, i thought it was just because i'd figured out how she fought, and she knew i'd beat her otherwise...I was on the ground, struggling to breath before i could even move to draw my sword'. Kaiyo shrugged, leaning back in her chair as she rested her hands behind her head. 'I dunno, maybe you really are better than your teacher, but maybe they want to let you think you, and maybe, they could still beat me with one hit' Kaiyo smiled politely at Tatsu. She'd been good at sword skill, and never really paid as much attention in those classes either, and she'd still graduated early, and ahead of her class. Even despite that, her history teacher, held more skill with a blade than Kaiyo could have imagined. Of course, some things change.

Kaiyo leant forwards in her chair, taking her last sip of her green tea with a hearty smile of enjoyment. The Captain moved her arms backwards as the noodle man arrived with their order. The blonde girl nodded politely to him and pulled apart her chop sticks, rubbing them against each other as she peered over her meal to Tatsu. 'I could help you with that one, plus, i reckon i know what they look for in the Kido exam now' she smiled sincerely, not even sure this kid would accept her offer but that was his choice entirely. Kaiyo leant forwards over her Ramen, slurping her first taste of the noodles into her mouth as she sighed happily, leaning far back in her chair with raised arms, 'Yummy!' she called across to the owner, pointing her chopsticks to Tatsu vaguely before taking another mouthful. 'But i got a good feeling about you too'.

The young shinigami was really proud that his challenge was accepted by the captain of the eleventh division, really he would've been humiliated if it was refused, it would be like refusing a test of Honor. Tatsu was simply sitting there as if he had forgotten about the meal that was coming towards for him in a short moment, this captain was awesome and he knew it, she was the golden opportunity Tatsu needed to get out of the academy without needing to flee it and become an outsider, he wasn't going to lie, if someone asks him if he ever thought of leaving soul society before the academy ended he would say he had already thought of quiting, but that wasn't of the subject, they were there to enjoy their moment.''I'm glad you are!. The shinigami said a large smile on his face, it would've seem that teenager within him had arisen from the shinigami for a short moment, but he quickly cleared his throat and became more serious, still a smile was clinging on the side of his mouth.

The shinigami didn't have anything important to him, that could be given as an exchange money, to prove his trust towards the captain it could be seen that he was thoughtful, there was his yukata, which he was wearing, and that was a bad idea of giving it out, if he wanted to get back to the academy grounds wearing something. He tossed a look over himself, he couldn't give his zanpakuto, and the tissue that was tied to it had no real importance, he held importance towards his sword in general, but he doubted that the captain wanted to carry a sheath around all the time.

''I don't really have something to give in exchange for your bandanna, the way you look at it, I know its very important to you and I know I don't have something of equal value on me, I would gladly give you my sheath, but I doubt you have a place to carry an empty sheath around. Tatsu almost felt bad as he said that, he liked being on par with people, unless he'd think he'd owe them something, he really loved the bandanna already but he thought that if she gave something important to him, he should do the same, he would see what she thought about her having his sheath, he could carry the weapon in the cloth anyway.

Tatsu listened to what Kaiyo had to say, it surely was true, she had no reason to lie anyway, and looking back into his memories he never remembered the teacher actually sweating after a fight Tatsu had won. Lifting his hand to his chin and rubbing it, he'd take a thinking pose and think all of the fights he could remember. ''You know..I think you're right, but even if he ain't really going all out, I supose he's going at the most a student should be, and I really think I'm a tad better than what a student should be, in sword fighting atleast, but! of course any bonus has a malus..and I suck at Kidou. Tatsu had been honest, like always, someone had actually taken the time to get to know him, usually he's the guy that people don't talk to because he says what he thinks and directly, just like when they met in the academy hallways. ''I still do say teacher's are sneaky people to do such things'' Tatsu said a large smile on his face as if trying to change the whole thing into a soft joke to soften the atmosphere.

The noodle master came back with two bowls of noodles crying to be eaten, after pulling his chop sticks apart Tatsu nodded in thank at the noodle master and he handily took a large mouthful. As Kaiyo spoke of helping him Tatsu almost choked himself, did he hear right a captain wanted to personally help him!? That was unbelievable, after almost dieing the young shinigami gulped down his noodles and looked at the captain with eyes full with a glimmer of hope in them.

''Pardon? you really want to help me? out of all the other students? It was in Tatsu's way of thinking to put other's in front of him, which was one of the reason's he didn't fight in sword fighting classes, he knew what to do, why waste the teacher's time with someone who already passed this class many times, kind of a martyr. ''I'm really glad this is going somewhere.''

Kaiyo began chewing on her bottom lip, a trait she was yet to forbid in situations of mild confusion or deep thought. Though for Kaiyo it was rarely the latter. The girl placed her chopsticks down next to her bowl, leaning over the table as she rested her hand on Tatsu shoulder. Smiling as widely as possible as she spoke with the ut-most sincerity, 'It was a gift, and i'm glad i gave it to you, because i know you'll look after it, so don't pay me back with anything else but a good spar when you reach Captain'. Kaiyo leant back down and took another mouthful of her Ramen. Slurping the noodles quite happily as Tatsu continued to speak.

Kaiyo laughed at the teacher comment. Most of her teachers had been more than just a bit sneaky, and she doubted that would change, but at least it kept the students on their toes a bit more. 'Mhmm, you probably are ahead of your class in sword skill' she agreed. Leaning forwards over her bowl as Kaiyo forked in a few more mouthfuls of the lush ramen. Eventually sitting back with a sigh of enjoyment, the Captain stretched her arm across the table to take another sip of her green tea.

It was a bit odd, the question in response to her offer. Kaiyo had no reason to offer her help to anyone else, they hadn't asked, and she didn't know them. Plus, there was something about Tatsu that Kaiyo really did like, and she wanted him to succeed. The blonde girl licked her lips lightly, looking at Tatsu with her large blue eyes for a moment longer. It was just a single moment, one of serious thought. Before Kaiyo smiled again, 'Yeah i wanna help you, i don't know anyone else who wants my help with kidou anyway' she laughed lightly. Kaiyo nodded firmly, 'Okay, how about we finish up here, then head over to...Well i'm not sure where i can show you, since i just kinda killed that field for a while. Okay! You pick where, it can even be my squad barracks if you really want'. Kaiyo spoke quite excitedly of helping with Kidou, it was something she'd never done before. Oh the amount of times she's injured herself with those silly spells. Though her squad training grounds were quite extensive, 11th squad had been given bigger better and more fortified ones, hell they fought enough to need them. Kaiyo shuffled her chair closer to the table, unable to stop eating this food. It really was good ramen, though Kaiyo was already considering how much she was missing a good chicken katsu curry.

Tatsu listened to Kaiyo speaking, of course his smile he allowed her to see didn't vanish, but turned into a laugh when she finished with the spar comment, and he would give her the spar she asked for every time he basicly ranked up within soul society. The more this conversation went, the more Tatsu enjoyed it, and it was a good thing, it was rare he was allowed outside the academy grounds, and it was even rarer to meet a captain, and ever rarer to be offered to train with them.

After a short chuckle Tatsu nodded. ''I really don't wanna brag..but the teacher asks for my help when he can't be helping everyone.'' Tatsu had been offered to support the teacher like any excelling kid in any domain. ''I think that in my human life, I handled a blade too, it feels so familiar if you know what I mean.'' Taking another chomp of noodles as if he never ate before.

Tatsu felt all special when she said she wanted to help him, and he almost felt courageous when Kaiyo told him that he was the only one who dared asking the mighty captain. Of course Tatsu put out of the question asking more about it, she had agreed to help him! this was almost a miracle to Tatsu's ear's. He almost wanted to stand up and straightforwardly hug the captain but he restrained himself from doing it. ''As for where, I'd sugest..either your barracks since you offered it, or outside the Rukongai, there's lots of large plains out there.'' The young shinigami said equally excited about this all, he was going to be trained by a captain!

((OOC: Apologies for the late and not so great reply here Tatsu, i'll try and make it better for ya next time Very Happy ))

That same smirk of amusement crept back onto the girl's face as Tatsu began to talk again, the offer of not bragging yet still being asked for help, how modest. Though it was quite normal at the Academy, Kaiyo had also been involved in such an experience. Granted the young Captain had graduated fairly quickly, but she was still held back all too often by her poor kidou skills. The girl's eyes turned deeper with thought as she looked back up at Tatsu, swallowing a mouthful of food as she nodded. 'Yeah, i think i'd done some fighting when i was alive as well' she laughed lightly, reaching across to her mug of green tea as she looked down into the tinted liquid. 'But i still remember dying...' Kaiyo took a sip of her drink and picked her chopsticks back up.

Tatsu wasn't doing such a great job of hiding his excitement, but Kaiyo had never exactly been a dull girl either. The girl was just feeding off his own energy, and getting just as hyped up about it as he was. A firm nod agreed with his closing statement, 'Uhuh! My barracks it is! Plus i said i'd give you a tour' she beamed, quite excited about showing off her barracks, it didn't happen all too often. Most visitors were reporting missions to Kaiyo, or telling her she was late for yet another meeting; so a fresh faced and wide eyed student was always welcome to look around.

Considering her rather small frame, one might assume the girl had hollow legs, for any other explanation wouldn't come close to explaining how she could freely eat so much. The Captain sighed with satisfaction as she neatly placed her chopsticks back next her bowl. Placing both her hands around the large rim as she lifted it up and slurped the last part of the tasty ramen juices. The girl dropped the bowl heavily back onto the table as she slid further down in her chair. Smiling happily as she waved her arms out at her side, 'I ate so much!' she mused, peering upwards over to Tatsu. 'Well i'm ready to go when you are, but, do ya mind if i shunpo us there? It's a lot quicker' A cheeky grin accompanied her question, though any answer which wasn't yes wouldn't be expected. Kaiyo would wait for Tatsu to finish though, she thought it rude not too. The girl's mind was already ticking over what kind of Kidou he might ask her for help with, Kaiyo couldn't even remember if he already said which one he was struggling with, The Captains short attention span always more for interesting events.

Tatsu was having a dream day already and he knew it was going to be even more soon enough, finishing his plate he was already replacing the sash on the side of his waist making sure the zanpakuto wouldn't fall. After a short shrug and a look in Kaiyo's eyes, Tatsu pulled out a short answer. ''Its not 'cause magic ain't our thing that we can't handle ourselves anyway, I'm sure we could kick the asses of any kidou users out there.'' The young shinigami said with a while smile on his face.

Of course he wasn't hiding his excitement, this wasn't an offer that could be heard in an everyday Shinigami life, most of them had normal lives untill they joined up a division and then killing hollow's became normal. ''Alright! Barracks it is untill the battle field is ready to home us again'' Of course Tatsu was kidding, and trying to poke at the captain the fact she blew up a whole area without really trying.

Tatsu didn't give much care about how she ate, a good physical fighter needed to eat as much as possible to grow energy for a worth while training he thought. Time was ticking in his head like the flow of water he was moving around in the small room, drinking his tea like there was no tomorrow, Kaiyo asked him if he wanted to leave by shunpo and a wide smile popped on his face as if she didn't even need to ask. ''Only if you show me how to do it after!'' The young shinigami said with much excitement, finally getting his proper chance to learn,

Kaiyo leant forwards over the table, clenching her fist in excitement as she grinned from ear to ear. 'Alright!' she exclaimed loudly. Leaping over the table will the enthusiasm of a rabbit on speed. Kaiyo grabbed hold of Tatsu's hands, pushing off her back foot as the pair vanished out the noodle bar. The images blurred quickly around them, wind rushing rapidly against her clothing as Kaiyo kept a tight grip of Tatsu's hand, him losing grip half way may not end up so greatly. They kept appearing on rooftops, flashing into the vision of a normal person for just a second before vanishing again.

It didn't take too long to reach the squad 11 compound. Kaiyo skidded to a rather un-steady halt at the front entrance. Each squad compound did in fairness seem quite impressive, the sheer architecture of the building made it seem quite grand. The large in-grained number 11 was pretty cool too. The compound left space in front of the main entrance for the squad to assemble. Surrounded by guarding walls. It's own training grounds if you follow it round. Kaiyo let go gently of Tatsu's hand, glancing up to the guy with a smile. 'How about a tour first?' It would be quicker to walk straight through the barracks to get to the training grounds anyway. Plus, Kaiyo was proud of her barracks, generally her squad members seemed to keep good care of it at any rate.

Kaiyo sighed with happiness, her head tilting up to get a full view of the large front doors. The doors creaked open just as the girl did this, two rather large butch men scrambling through the door. Elbowing and nudging the other as if they were racing. Turns out they were. Kaiyo stood perfectly still as the men ground to a halt in front of the short blonde girl. 'Capt'n, this fucker was trying to start a fight!'. Not the most eloquent use of vocabulary but it got the message cross at any rate. The men were quiet, panting heavily as she staring down to their leader, waiting for a decision. Kaiyo's eyes fluttered between the two men for a second, the girl taking a short step closer as her neck tilted back further to look at them. Rubbing the back of her neck slightly, Kaiyo smiled, 'If you can write up a proper report on it, i'll sort it out...If not, training grounds 6 is free'. A moments pause. 'First one there gets to choose the rules' she smirked lightly as both men began sprinting off to the training grounds. Kaiyo turned back to Tatsu, gesturing to the large steps leading to the front door, 'Ready?'

The captain seemed very happy about Tatsu decision as if she wanted him to see how its done, so he could do it, but of course he wouldn't understand a thing and think it would be simple hardcore running. Offering an honnest and wide smile when she said alright he needed to step aside, unless she really wanted to leap on him, not that it bothered him. The young shinigami's hand was rather hot since it was holding a cup of tea mere seconds ago. Surprisingly enough Tatsu could handle the speed he just couldn't do the techniques, that may be a problem too, techniques to perform abilities, he was always strong on learning things his way. The whole city flashes in front of Tatsu's eyes he never thought you could cross it so fast hardly stopping.

Before he knew it he was already in front of a great building with the insigna of the eleventh division on it, taking back his balance at the sudden stop the youn shinigami thought it was even bigger than he thought. ''Wouah...'' He said under his breath trying not to look too impressed by the large building, the academy teachers would punish him for not being into school, but he hardly cared, he was about to be taught by a taicho.
Seeing as the captain let Tatsu's hand go made him look down on her, and when he was asked about a tour he could only manage nod nods, wanting to learneverything at the same time wasn't something many people could handle, and it just took the words outta his mouth.

Seeing as the doors opened wide up, with 2 guys wanting to rip their faces off didn't spoil the fun, he knew that it could be something he saw often around here. Trying to hold back a laughter at the two of them for being kind of childish, even though they could be hundred's of year's older then him, and or stronger than him, could be a good reason to not piss them off. The vocabulary used to speak to the captain seemed harsh but Tatsu hid most of his thoughts as was just playing statue beside her as she solved the problem. Seeing the way she solved it so quickly..and the way she did it made him laugh. ''Why didn't I expect you to solve that in any other way, I'm always ready, for anything. Tatsu even took the initiative to start walking towards the steps before the captain.

PostSubject: Re: Away from a lecture    Away from a lecture - Page 2 I_icon_minitimeSat Sep 18, 2010 8:21 am

Kaiyo giggled lightly, following after Tatsu as he began walking up to the front entrance of the barracks. Kaiyo ruffled the back of her hair lightly as she moved, her Haori flapping gently with each step she took; it just made such moments seem a lot more dramatic. 'Yeah, and learning to shunpo might take a while' she smirked at that, remembering the first time she learnt how to flash step...Straight into a tree. Kaiyo had caught up to Tatsu by the time they reached the door, the girl nudged it open with seeming ease, walking in then holding it open for Tatsu; it was actually a pretty hefty door.

Kaiyo waited for tatsu then let go of the door. The main hall was fairly standard, veey squad barracks was mostly the same. In fact, Kaiyo had customised hers more than most of the others; mainly the addition of her garden, but she'd show Tatsu that in a moment. 'Don't let any of the squad guys try and scare you as well, most of em' look pretty strong, but they're really slow' she smiled with a light humour to her voice, Kaiyo didn't assume anyone would try and start a fight with Tatsu, but it was just in case, to calm his nerves. It was true as well though, look like a mountain and as slow as one to move. The barracks seemed oddly peaceful as well, most people assumed it would be an absolute mess...In fact most of the squadies preferred this kind of scene. In a way it was quite funny. That was beside the point though, Kaiyo's eyes sparkled with a moments excitement as she took hold of Tatsu hand and began running down the hallway. 'I'll show you the garden, it's amazing!' she called over her shoulder. The girl skidded to a halt just in front of one of the screen doors that lead to the garden.

Kaiyo let go of Tatsu hand and turned to face him, her expression more serious than he had likely ever seen before. 'So, garden rules...No-one fights in there, at all, and you don't break stuff...it's for calm' she smiled at the end, nodding to herself as recognition for remember the garden rules. Kaiyo slid open the door gently. It was a lovely sunny day as well. Cherry blossom trees swayed wistfully in the corner of the square garden; that was surrounded by the corridoors of the barracks. A small trickling waterfall had been placed in the centre of the garden, glistening as the sun splashed onto each droplet of water. The sheer calming nature of even just looking on such a beauty made Kaiyo feel calmer. More surprising might have been the squad members already in the garden ,just sitting and relaxing. A few of them nodded a vague greeting to their Captain.

Wide eyed and awaiting the reaction, Kaiyo looked back to Tatsu. 'So, what do ya think? I have like a smaller version of this outside my office'

Walked up the stairs towards the doors, he was just about to try opening them when the Kaiyo walked right up beside him and opened them like they were paper filled. The ruffling outside the barracks, rolling through her Haori, just as if she wanted to look real cool and everything. A smirk errupted from the side of Tatsu's mouth, as she spoke about taking a while to learn shunpo. ''I'm sure, I'll handle just before you get discouraged'' He said as a joke to the kind captain. Seeing as she was actually holding the door open for him, he made his way inside the barracks hasting his steps.

Not a long moment after, Tatsu was well inside the barracks and pretty much looking everywhere, rather curious even though he was trying to suppress it. Tatsu's steps were soft and agile, making nought but a sound while the captain was talking about ignoring the big brutes that would try to intimidate him, allowing a chuckle. ''I don't believe they would mess with someone walking and talking with their captain anyway.'' Still walking behind the captain, Tatsu didn't speak of a word, and let himself be carried by the silence of the area, finally enjoying some peaceful silence, it was odd that it would be in the 11th division, but he questioned it not. Still looking around, the captain suddenly took the young man's hand and almost flailed him around like he was a rag doll towards the said garden. When the captain came to a stop, the young samurai almost came to hit the captain with his mass.

Tatsu attempted to take a straight up posture before she completly turned around, trying to hide the fact he for 1: Almost fell on her, and for 2: Lost his balance. Scratching the back of his head he looked at the captain straight in the eyes with his own, and listened to the garden rules very carefully. The samurai answered the girl's charming smile, atleast it was charming for him. Seeing the door opening, the young man stepped aside to get a better view, and a little less view on the captains head, not that he minded. The bandana in his head flickered with the air rustling through his hairs, moving a step closer, making him right beside the captain, he looked at the cherry blossom and the water fall, and said nothing, his neutral nature turning more towards the calm one, he didn't take notice of the squad members already in the garden, for he closed his eyes, to enjoy the peaceful scene. After a short second, Tatsu re-openned his eyes, and turned towards the captain and nodded. ''This is absolutely wonderful'' The young shinigami was very honest at the moment, he hadn't seen one of this feudal japan style gardens in a very long while and enjoyed the sight of it, making him want to join this division more and more by the second, maybe one day he could bribe the captain to train with her in the garden, with a challenge of not breaking anything, a challenge of true swordskills, the ones he enjoyed the most''

Kaiyo beamed back up at Tatsyu, genuinely glad he was enjoying the tour. Though he made a valid point, people inside her squad were actually quite protective of their Captain. They were the ones who knew how well she truly fought, and they respected the girl for her skill. That, and Kaiyo herself had brought a bit of adversity with her Captain position, especially of a squad with such few females. Still, for a reason she couldn't explain, her squad members were possibly over-caring for their plucky leader.

Kaiyo shrugged off such thoughts, the point remained that her squad respected her enough to do as she said...Usually. Kaiyo patted Tatsu on the right shoulder lightly, 'Well, what else is there really' she pondered. Kaiyo took a short step back, tapping her chin lightly, just to make it clear to Tatsu that she was thinking. 'Hmmm, what do you wanna do? I said you could choose' she grinned, too many options were available for Kaiyo. Plus the last time she chose an event, she ended up sneaking into the Shihoin estate and getting a lowly 2nd squad members beaten up; Kaiyo still felt badly for that.

The young samurai probably guessed just as good as any other male member of the division, when a girl is strong, everyone tries to protect her for a reason, even though they knew she was an epic fighter that could probably take them all on, but Tatsu was a tad different, he dreamed of fighting along side the captain, instead of actually protecting her. Taking a last look around, and enjoying the scenery once more, Tatsu looked towards the captain listening to her words, eyes flickering here and there as she spoke but even though, that was simply because he was curious.

The young man chuckled as she seemed to think about what they were going to do, looking at the members inside the garden, wondering what were their abilities, thus thinking about what will be his future abilities. ''Well, you ..could..train me a little, and then tell the academy you took me into your division, thus saving me from another half a year of school, buuuuut thats all up to you'' A cheeky grin was on Tatsu's face, as if he was looking forward to that. ''Or you can always show me the paper work needed to join right now.''

The shinigami's eye's were almost flickering with hope waiting for the captain's decision, wondering if she'd be willing to do a step aside the law's of the seireitei to the man she so easily gave her headband.
