The Lab(s)

This is basically the central hub of the 12th Division HQ. It is located beneath the barracks and grounds, with several entrances and exits (some of which are secret ) The labs are all brightly lit with very sterile, stainless steel walls and top of the line computer equipment and the like. There are 10 homeostasis chambers available for use when studying particularly interesting life forms, like Hollows with unique abilities, for example.

Beneath these labs is the 12th Division Captain's private lab, which contains 5 homeostasis chambers of its own, as well as its own high tech equipment. The current Captain has tastefully added a giant aquamarine lava lamp that gives off a soft, comforting glow.

Ri walked out of the squad ten barrack and started making his away toward the squad twelve labs. Over his should was something of an odd sight , over his shoulder was himself or rather his Gigai though it was hard to recognize.

The Gigai was missing an arm , a foot , it's torso was ripped open and it's face was badly burned. Ri shunpo'd most of the way to avoid being seen by anyone. He approached the R&D lab building not looking forward to explaining how he manage to destroy yet another Gigai , he ruined ten or eleven other gigai before now and ever time he got an ear full from on of the lab grunts.

"Anyone here I ruined another Gigai" Ri called as he entered the labs reception area. He waited for yet another lab grunt to come and moan at him.

A tired, haggard looking 12th Division member shuffled up to Ri and looked at the Gigai with a look of abject despair on his face. "Who had today?" he asked around.

"Me!" a female grunt jumped up and down. "Pay up suckers!" The rest of the people in the room sighed and dug into their pockets. The resulting pile of money was quite generous in front of the girl. "Yay, I'm going to buy so many shoes with these!" she squealed.

"As you can see, we had a pool as to when you'd bring in the next one," said the tired looking member. "Just give it here." He held out his hand. "Honestly, these should come out of your pay." He took the gigai and shuffled back to his seat where he draped the gigai over it before getting back to whatever it was he was doing.

Ri at first was shocked by the excited girl but after finding out her reason he gave a light kind of sarcastic laugh to the situation and rolled his eyes.

"Nice to know your making money off of me" Ri said shaking his head slightly as he handed off his gigai to the lab worked then seemed to return his attention to his work and ignore Ri.

"When can I expect a new one" Ri said knowing he was going to get a smart arse answer but he need a gigai for particular mission should they come up.

"When we invent one that is you-proof!" came the terse reply. And then quieter, "How does he manage to do this? These are made of tough stuff? What is he doing???"

"Wanna have a pool on that?"

"Sure!"

"I have 10 on kido practice on them."

"Nah, I bet he uses his Zanpakuto."

"Feeds it to a Hollow or something."

etc etc etc

Ri using the principles of shunpo appeared in the centre of the babbling bunch and knelt down so he was level with them as they were sitting.

"Actually I use all of that and since I don't have a gigai any more I might just use one of you's" Ri said in a terrifying whisper of a tone. He didn't like the lab grunt they all seemed to lack the social graces which is perhaps why they rather work in labs and such rather then in the field the such

"Anyone else have something smart to say" Ri said in a shift tone he only ever used for giving orders. He stood up and stared at each lab working one by one waiting for a response.

"OK, but they won't look the same as you," said one of the lab grunts. Being the socially awkward people they were, they didn't even realize that Ri's tone of voice indicated anything.
