Personality: Tenma is a rather average person personality wise. He can be talkative sometimes, while being shy in others. He can become agitated if pushed too far just like anyone else as well. The only real quirk he has is love of combat. Whenever a fight seems to break out he always wants to be in it somehow. Bear in mind this is nowhere near the pure insanity that is the 11th squad however.
Appearance:
His skin is lighter then the above picture, and a lightly tanned color. The hair is correct length, and color however. He wear the traditional shinigami attire as regulations prevent anything else. He wears red contacts over his black eyes as red is his favorite color. He has a black dragon tatoo spiraling down his left arm with the head resting on the back of his hand.
Sealed Zanpakuto Appearance:
The hilt and guard of the zanpakuto is black with a blood red cloth wrap to help with the grip. The guard is shaped like a six pointed star. The blade is normal katana length (I forgot the actual measure). The blade of the zanpakuto is blood red, while the indention along the side of the blade is pitch black. At the bottom of the hilt is a dark red tassel that is always hanging from the sword.

Description: Ishi Genkotsu is a dual cestus type weapon. Meaning Tenma gains two crimson gauntlets over both his hands. On the back of each cestus there is a series of twelve black rods that can shoot into the gauntlet which regulates how much Reiatsu is inside the next attack.
(It does not increases the power of the attacks, it keeps him from using more than he anticipated using. Two rods shooting in are equal to only adding a little reiatsu to the strike. Whereas all twelve would equal as much as the gauntlets can sustain. This also allows him to change how much of his own power if used in his abilities as well.)
History/Background:
Tenma was born in a town about 20 miles north of Karakura Town. His mothers name was Satomi Yamato, while his fathers name was Konjaku Yamato. His father worked for the local high school as a teacher, and his mother was a nurse at the nearby hospital. Tenma grew up loving the outdoors, and sports like track and soccer. His parents also taught him to be polite to girls at all times.
When Tenma was 15 he began his first year of high school. At first he was ridiculed by the other students as his father worked at that same school. One time the jokes agitated Tenma enough that he called out the loud mouthed student. The resulting fight was short and sweet, as Tenma's quick, strong physique allowed him to dominate the other guy. This is where Tenma's love of fighting began.
He loved the thrill of the fight he had. The adrenaline seemed to send him in a rush as he would get into fights a lot more after that incident. The guys friends always tried to take him down on his way home from school, however in the end he would always out do them. Tenma never threw the first punch in any one of those fights. He soon became known as one of the schools top fighters.
During that year he turned 16, and easily passed his classes. He was always respectful to women and tried to help a girl out whenever the chance arrived. With these things working for him within the skill populace, he soon became one of the more popular guys in the school. Soon however the fights stopped coming, as no one wanted to lose to him again. He then moved on to the next school year, and his 17th birthday.
During the school year he quickly became friends with one of the prettiest girls within the entire school. Her name was Mitsuru Toyomoko and they quickly began dating. During the year their relationship became better and better, and eventually on his 17th birthday Mitsuru had a surprise for him. She took him to the local mall where she would spend a saved up sum on whatever he wanted. He almost completely declined the offer however.
Eventually Mitsuru got Tenma to agree and they went shopping at the mall. They had a great time and Tenma was able to get a lot of things he needed as well as wanted. However when they were leaving the mall they witnessed a man being robbed by an armed robber. The robber, seeing the new witness's turned his gun to them. Tenma quickly hugged Mitsuru close and turn her so that he was between her and the gun right as the robber fired.
Tenma Yamato then died on his 17th birthday in the emergency room of the local hospital. He died within the arms of his mother as she was unable to revive him. The school mourned for his death, and the robber was caught and convicted. This however was only the beginning of Tenma's story. He soon awoke within a new, strange world.
When he awoke he was wearing his clothing from when he was killed and the bullet hole was gone. As was all of the blood. Tenma looked around confused until he eventually got off his butt and walked around a bit. He soon ran into a town and was able to find what seemed to be a man wearing a black shohaksho. He asked the man where he was, and after the man told him and realized Tenma had a higher then normal reiatsu, Tenma was enrolled into the shinigami academy.
Within the academy Tenma took his classes seriously as he studied the history of the world he was in, which he learned was Soul Society. He learned how to wield a sword effectively, and how to move quickly, and precisely. With his quick progress it was only a matter of time before he suddenly drew his zanpakuto. While training with his practice sword one day he sheathed and drew it quickly in an unsheathing strike. However when he redrew his sword a bright flash of light lit the air, and suddenly he was holding the blood red blade that was his zanpakuto.

(The scenario is Tenma in one of the fights he had in high school.)
*Tenma looked around at where the three guys in front of him had him cornered. They had gotten him within a shaded ally on the side of the road. Trash littered the ground around, and an old, green dumpster was sitting at the edge of it. The ally was about 10 meters across and 15 meters deep. Tenma finished surveying his surroundings and looked to each of his opponents in turn. They all had the same cocky grin on their faces as they thought they had him completely cornered.
The first one had black hair, cut short and spiked up. He had brown eyes, and a sharp nose. He was about 5'8 and seemed to be pretty fit. He wore a normal school uniform, however he also wore sunglasses on his forehead. He seemed light on his feet, and confident in his abilities.
The second one had brown, shoulder length hair. He stood at about 5'6 and had blue eyes. He wore the cocky smirk as if he knew he couldn't lose. He seemed a little out of shape, but still capable. He wore the standard school uniform.
The final one had blonde, medium length hair. He stood at about 6'2 and had brown eyes like the first guy. He as a piercing, dangerous gaze, and his smirk was small, and controlled. As if he was truly confident he would pull them through it. He wore the school uniform, only he was missing the jacket.
The second guy attacked first, he ran forward and tried to strike at Tenma. The punch however was too slow, and Tenma was about to duck before bringing up a powerful uppercut to the guys jaw. He was knocked out instantly. Tenma then stood with on foot on the guys stomach as he looked at the other two.*
“Are you sure you guys want to continue?”
*He asked, giving them a chance to back out. The first guy however, did not like the tone of his voice and charged forward at a much faster pace then the previous attacker. Tenma took the first blow, bracing himself for it. He then grabbed the guys wrist and turned himself around. At that point he threw the guy over his shoulder and into the dumpster behind him.
The final guy ran in with a powerful jab, and hit Tenma in the stomach. The blow knocked the wind out of him, and Tenma was surprised. The man was fast, and strong, and Tenma would have to be careful. The mans next move however, was a mistake. He came at Tenma with an uppercut to the jaw, much like Tenma first attack.
Tenma used both hands, and pushed the guys fist back down, while jumping up with one foot. He then raised his knee into the air, and nailed the guy in to the chin with it. The guy fell back, out cold. Tenma then stood there for a moment and shook his head sadly at the three guy. He then picked up his stuff and walked home.*
