Personality: Shi is a laid-back, have fun type guy. His sence of humor is on of his strongest qualities. Shi is also a hard worker and a great friend. Respectful to everyone he meets Shi is almost instantly liked as soon as people meet him. Duty and honor are also a big part of Shi's code of ethics. On the battlefield Shi transforms into something of a beast. He fights fiercely to defend and protect his friend and those that protect themselves.

Appearance: Shi is above average height with a muscular build. He wears the standard iniform all shinigami wear. He also wears white band around the head that goes to just above the eyes. He has medium length dark blonde hair. Shi's eyes are a quicksilver grey and vibrant with life and good humor.

Sealed Zanpakutō : Shi's sword is navy blue in color. The hilt is blue with white criss crossing through it. The pommel is spiral in shape. The sword also sports a knuckle bow for added protection. The blade is about 39 inches long and the sheath is solid navy blue.

History/Background: Shi was born in Soul Soceity in one of the better districts. His family owned a tavern that was very successful. When he became old enough he started to work there as a dish boy. Soon he would advance to server and learn most of his humor. The people that frequented the tavern took a fast liking to the boy. He was loved by all in the district. Through working at the tavern, he meet a man named Kenta. Kenta became a sort of mentor to Shi. On days off Shi would learn fighting with Kenta. Kenta taught Shi all aspects of combat from unamred to armed. He taught him how to fight with all types of weapons, to master all weapons. Shi was an eager pupil, soaking it all up like a sponge. One day Kenta asked Shi if he would like to better himself. To leave his life in the tavern and become part of an organization with purpose. Shi thought about it for a while. Finally he decided he'd done all he could at the tavern and in the district. Kenta told him to meet him tomorrow at one of their training spots. When Shi arrived the next day Kenta was waiting for him. Kenta told him that his parents had been informed that he would begin training at the academy. Shi followed Kenta down the road to the gate of the Seireitei. Shi knew then that he was to become a shinigami. Apart of the 13 Court Guard Squads.

Acadamy Life

At the academy Shi went through his classes like most of the students. In the combat training, Shi exceled and was at the top of the ranks. All his time with Kenta had not been wasted. But there were other areas where Shi didnt do so great. He barely got through the kido classes, even having to take one of the classes twice. Shi was also a little above average in the leadership courses. His grasp of command and subordinate relations was top knotch. He gradutated from the academy and eagerly awaited placement into one of the squads. (OCC: Im gonna leave this as finished for now. Shi entered the building. This was where the captain had said the strange power had come from. Shi rounds a corner and takes a look. Seeing it safe, he motions the rest of the squad to advance but at a slow pace. As the rest of his men rounded the next corner, he heard the telltale sounds of a battle breaking out. Shi rushed up to find them all engaged in battle against a group of hollows. Before he could do anything, he is attacked from the side by a huge hollow. It was everything Shi could do to dodge that first attack. He side steps then swipes the the things head and decapitates it. He turns to see another hollow with a new shinigami backed into a corner.

Jenje get down!!! Shi cries to the man.

He intercepts a slash from the hollow looking to finish the young man.

Why dont you fight someone your own size pal.

Without waiting for a reply Shi begins a series of advanced mocements with his sword the hollow could not keep up. In a matter of seconds it was dead. Shi turns to survey the scene to find that his squad had not taken any losses and only a few injuries in the battle. He sends a hell butterfly to let the Captain know that this area was clear of danger and that the V.I.P. was safe to pass.
