Squad Training.

Ri walked around the training ground, as a seated member of the squad his duty entailed leading shinigami into battle but it also involved training them to the best of their abilities. Ri had corrected a few shinigami on stances and on incantations and was now helping a unseated squad mate with his kido.

“You've to focus your entire being , let nothing distract you” Ri said as he starred across the sparring field to the young shinigami who was charging a bright red kido. The shinigami looked nervous and trembled as he shot the kido at Ri.

“Constantly falling into disorder, does the universe bleed as we do? What is the effect of restoring it? Bakudo sixtieth wall of entropy” Ri chanted as the kido was launched at him. Ri at first felt an abundant amount of reiatsu flow from him but he felt it grow weak a fade.

Looking up he could only see the red light of the kido, Ri let out an almighty roar as he released his spirit pressure with enough power to cancel out the kido, RI immediately returned his pressure to it's normal contained state so not to hurt anyone nearby.

“That was good, My kido failing nearly killed me” Ri said smiling like the whole thing was just a joke. The young shinigami face no longer appeared nervous but bore a wide smile, going from ear to ear. Ri took a few heavy breaths then taking his stance again he nodded to the shinigami to re-cast his kido.

Ri didn't hear his opponent chant, Ri blocked out everything from his mind and concentrated on his own reiatsu. Ri opened his eyes to see the red light of kido flying through the air aiming it's self at Ri. Ri took a breath then chanted

“Constantly falling into disorder, does the universe bleed as we do? What is the effect of restoring it? Bakudo sixtieth wall of entropy”


Like the flow of water, Ri's reiatsu rushed from him to form a solid wall in front of him. The wall formed and first appeared to be a skin pink but quickly changed to a illuminating yellow then slowly changing to a midnight blue.

The attacking kido hit into the wall causing the kido and the wall to vibrate in colour then in a flash of colour the attack kido exploded in the opposite side of the wall causing Ri no harm. Ri smiled broadly he did love when his kido work well without infuriating him


“Hado forty six, seventy two Pound Cannon” Those were the words that Ri only just heard then without warming his wall the struck and after an explosion of reiatsu destroyed the wall. Ri eyes flickered over to the young shinigami and saw him re-chanting the kido.

“Constantly falling into disorder, does the universe bleed as we do? What is the effect of restoring it? Bakudo sixtieth wall of entropy” Ri cried call his opponent fired his kido. Ri's defensive wall rose one more to guard him, this time the wall started off a interesting shade of green and slowly began to changed to a bright red,

The seventy two pound cannon kido was fired again aimed for Ri but it's path would make it collide with the shielding wall. The wall was a crimson gold when the kido made contact, at once the wall changed to a fogyish blue colour then switched to a dark green. The aggressive kido was absorbed into the wall, nullifying it.

“I didn't think you could hold up against a two seventy two pound cannons” The young shinigami said smiling at Ri well breathing deeply, he had cleared gone beyond his endurance limits. Ri smiled back for a moment then turning his attention to a new group of arrival to the sparring field, they weren't squad thirteen but from squad six.

Ri took a seat and watch the new group from afar, they pushed around the unseated shinigami and challenged a few to a fight but everyone said no and moved on quickly, most of the people training there were low level shinigami well the group from squad six were ranked between 14th and 18th seat

“You wana fight” The leading idoit from squad six said to pointing his finger at Ri. Ri didn't look up or move but he gave off a small laugh the seem the irritate the others. Ri thought of the giving the three of them a warning but he decided they didn't deserve it.

“You can leave now or I can have some squad four healer drag you off” Ri said laughing as he speaking as if he was telling a joke. The three men sniggered between themselves then turning their eye on to Ri and gave him an look over.

“Your going to beat all three of us?” The lead idiot said speaking as if he could even touch Ri in a fight. The reality was that Ri could have all three of them knocked out before anyone them saw him move at all but that was hardly fun, he had a better idea.

“Me? No no I'm not going to beat you all I wouldn't waste my time. He's going to beat you all” Ri said as he pointed his figure to Yamano a scrawny looking unseated shinigami of Ri's squad thriteen. The three men laugh every hard as Ri beaconed Yamano over.

“Yamano your going to fight these three for me ok?” Ri ask as if it was the simplest of things to take on the three men before them. Fear grew across Yamano's face but Ri's smile was unwavering never for a even an instant.

“Give me two minutes to couch him for second” Ri said peering around Yamano to look at the lead idiot again. The leader nodded and moved to the other end of the field leaving Ri and Yamano alone for a moment.

“Sir I really think this bad idea” Yamano said his voice cracking with fear and worry but Ri's smile wasn't about to be spoiled. Ri was new to squad thirteenth and being the most senior shinigami of the squad he wanted to earn respect amongst the squads ranks this was his main reason for this.

“I'm going to let you borrow my power, you'll easily beat these clowns but do me a favor and pick me up afterwards” Ri said smiling broadly as he placed his hand on Yamano's shoulder. Yamano smiled, Ri's words had obviously comforted him.

“With mine power, aid mine ally! Lend mine strength to fuel his might. Grant mine skills so that he may prevail! Bakudo fifty nine” Ri chanted as he let his reiatsu, his strength and his abilities flow through out him and into Yamano. The kido he was attempting was a very useful one but one Ri's had no practise at. Ri felt the last of this essence flow into Yamano and instantly he fell to a knee.

“I'm alight you have my power for the next few minutes, hurry and make short work of these fools” Ri said his smile this dominating his face. Keeping the kido in operation was a great strain, it required Ri to concentrate on his connection with Yamano and if he even faltered for a instant the kido would break and yamano would be in trouble

Yamano slowly walk from Ri and move toward his three opponent, he could feel something different in himself, he could feel power unlike any he'd ever felt before in his life. Yamano squared off against the three men as all of them took their stance Yamano felt an odd confidence and allowed a cocky little grin to creep over his face.

“This is going to hurt” Yamano said in a sincere tone as the fight started. Yamano made the first move and shunpo'd to the trio's left but as they all turned their attention there he shunpo'd again and came up behind them and with flash of steel he made one of the mans back his personal cutting board.

Shunpoing again Yamano move a few yard away from the men, one of them had dropped to the ground out of pain from his back. Yamano knew he could defeat the last two in his current state but he felt he had to do it , he wanted to do it.

“Coil around their throat, Salinas” Yamano cried as he Zanpakuto changed, it released itself and took the form of the heavily spiked whip then seem to emanating a green aura. Yamano looked at his now cowarding foes

“Bye” Yamano said as he gave his new whip a flick and sent the whip to sprike into the last two sent then at speed hard to see he brought his whip over and back across the two men front till all was left of their chest was torn cloth and blood.

All three men were laying on the ground at Yamano's feet, he took a moment admire his work then suddenly the power that Yamano felt in his body left. Yamano turn to see Ri fall on the ground and immediately Yamano rushed to his aid.

“Ri-san, Ri-san” Those were the words Ri woke up to, an odd trait of the kido was that it knocked the user out after use. Ri's smile was still present on his face and a glint of proudness shone in his eyes.

“Told you didn't I. You had no trouble with those guys” Ri said laughing as he stood up and saw the three men on the ground, someone had already called squad four and two heal were already tending to the men.

“Come on let go get some food, I've starved” Ri said pushing Yamano toward the squad barracks to get some grub before getting back to training.

Ri walked around the edge of the squad training grounds, he'd only just returned to the grounds after Yamano's fight. Ri watched as his squad-mates training themselves and smiled down on them, he'd taken the third seat of the squad and with no lieutenant or captain meant all those responsibilities fell to Ri but Ri knew not all of the squad was happy with him.

Ri moved through the training field helping the young members of the squad train and it wasn't till about mid-day when the peace of the grounds was broke by the arrival of the squad fourth, fifth and sixth seats as well as a number of unseat members.

Ri watched as the training shinigami fled from the training grounds and gave way to the imposing group. The four seat, a woman names Izlar walked closer to Ri. She was a tall slender woman with red fiery and white pupils.

"I know why your here and its not a good idea don't try it" Ri said speaking in his normal casual tone, he knew Izlar was going to try and fight him for the 3rd seat position but Ri wasn't going to give up his seat and if he need to beat Izlar to demonstrate dominance well then so be it.

"Arrogant aren't you. I've been leading this squad and no squad ten little ass is going to take that from me" Izlar said speaking in a very wrath filled tone that seem to be very unnatural to her. Ri and Izlar exchanged stars for a moment then Ri smiled and nodded.

By now most of the squad had turned out to witness the fight for leadership of the squad. the training field was cleared for the fight and both Izlar and Ri squared off opposite each other.

The fight began with no words exchanged, Izlar rush immediately at Ri. She lead with a hard and fast downward strike, Ri pulled his shoulder back dodging the strike then well holding his up right hand he gather a concentrated amount of destructive force then spoke.

“Hado fifty four abolishing flames”

The blast was sent straight for Izlar but she managed to dodge, not that it would of done any damage as Ri can cast the kido wrong, it had bark to no real bite. Ri had planned on learning the kido today and saw the fight as chance to training it.

Izlar came back around and with a vicious slash he Zanpakuto hit into Ri's right shoulder. At first and gasped but Ri didn't flinch or move or even bleed but Izlar's hand and hilt was no drenched in blood. Ri hadn't felt any real intent behind her strikes and he was right, she didn't want to harm him and for that reason she now can't hurt him

Izlar had come to the same realisation as she and quickly shunpo'd away, she may not have killing intent but Ri did and wouldn't hesitate to demonstrate if he need to. Ri knew Izlar was going to release her Zanpakuto and he would have to do the same now it was just a matter of time.

“Hado fifty four abolishing flames” Ri said again sending the destructive blast for Izlar but using her Zanpakuto she sent the kido off into the sky to be lost for ever. Ri saw he hold her Zanpakuto strangely and knew she most be releasing it.

He quickly shunpo'd well gather a new concentrated destructive force in his hand he appeared right in front of Izlar and held his right hand up as he spoke “Hado fifty four abolishing flames”. This time the kido was contact with Izlars stomach and sent her flying along the ground with a burned out hole in her clothing.

“Not that that's out of the way lets begin shall we?” Ri said speaking like the whole fight so far was nothing more then a mere warm up, he did think to enrage Izlar and make she less of a threat. Ri unleashed his spirit pressure causing many among the crowd to fall and even Izlar struggled to puller her self off the ground.

Both Ri and Izlar starred at each other both ready to speak but waiting on the other the start. Izlar bit into her hand then let drops of blood land on her Zanpakuto and at the same time Ri caused raging winds to circle the training grounds.

“Ruler of the winds arise! Gáircas” “Run free, Nurta”

The pressure created by both Ri and Izlar was immense , so much so that the crowds of on lookers were force back so not to get caught in the battle or be crushed under the combined pressures. Ri held tight his sky blue blade as starred down Izlars who was now wielding a scythe that was taller then her and seemed to distorting the air around it with a violet aura.

Ri smiled as he kicked off the ground and rushed for Izlar, the next moment both Ri and Izlar flash stepped. The only sign of the fight was constant sparks from the two shinigami weapons. Izlar match Ri for speed but he knew he could overcome her using his advantage in spirit pressure.

Ri flash stepped away from Izlar and both of them squared off again, Izlar smiled then slashed her scythe and sent a condensed reiatsu strike at Ri. “Hado fifty eight Orchid Sky” Ri shout well holding up his right hand to the oncoming strike, Ri used the kido to deflect the strike up into the sky to be forgotten. Ri was already ready with a counter attack.

“Buile an Cas triple” Ri said as he first send a strike straight at Izlar then he flash stepped above her and sent another strike then flash stepping again behind Izlar sent a final strike. Izlar tried to dodge but she couldn't move and was hit by all three of the attack, ending in an explosion of reiatsu.

Izlar was next seen laying on the ground but she didn't seem to beat up that was until Ri saw her arm, her arm were burned badly with deep gashes in each of the arm. Ri hope she'd bow out but knew she wouldn't and it would be an insult to ask her to forfeit.


“Fall from the sky, Cause it to light hado sixty feather blast” Izlar struggled to chant as feathers began to slowly fall from the sky, Ri had seen this kido before if one of those feathers touched him he could lose this fight but he wasn't in dangered.

“That was a bad idea, I'm sorry” Ri said as he sight, he knew this was going to hurt Izlar but he couldn't get around it without insulting Izlar as a person and as a combatant. He focused his mind and prepared his kido.


“ Hado fifty eight Orchid Sky” Ri said as aimed for the feather that were falling through the air, the kido pushed the wind and sent the feather over to Izlar who had only barely managed to get to her knees, she looked up to see the first feather touch her and ignite.

Explosion after explosion erupted around Izlar as the crowds gasped out of fear for Izlars life. The smoke cleared but to everyone surprise Izlar wasn't the one at the heart of the explosions but it was Ri.

He had flash stepped over Izlar to shield her from harm, Ri managed to smile down at Izlar before he fell to his knee, his entire clothing was burned and his back was badly burned as well. Izlar had fallen unconscious and Ri follow soon after her.

The next day Ri had been released from the squad four infirmary and was working on the squad paper work in the captain office which he'd claimed as his own seeing as the squad had no captain or lieutenant.He was signing off on patrol reports and transfers when the offices door opened with a squeak and Izlar came walking in. Ri immediately stood up, not aggressively but he was unsure what else to do.

“I..”.

Izlar quickly turned around and fled quickly without speaking a word . After finishing his paper work Ri joined the rest of the squad with the evening meal and was greeted warmly by his squad, their view of Ri seemed to of changed since witnessing Ri save Izlar.

Izlar appeared near the end of the meal after being released for the infirmary and was greeted with cheers from the squad she was very well like. She made her way to Ri and pecked him on the cheek well whispers “Thank you” into Ri's eye.

She moved on quick and Ri swung his head around to watch her ass as she walk away with a swagger that showed her ass off, she must of known Ri would sneak a look. Ri smiled then returned to the meal and the banter with his squad mates
