| ooc: this starts at the senkai gate in SS. but will quickly move to the actual place where most of this action is going to take place
Ryouta sat in front of the gate, waiting for the appearance of some people who might be interested in helping him figure out why exactly a certain phenomenon was happening in the Real World. Basically, the 12th Division has noticed that the Hollows in Johannesburg, South Africa have become a) more aggressive, b) more powerful, and c) tend to be further along in terms of Hollow evolution.
The area is not a place of huge spiritual significance as Karakura town is, so at the moment, the 12th is not quite sure what is causing this phenomenon. They have no theories. All contact has been lost with Shinigami in the area, and so the Captain of the 12th division has taken it upon himself to lead a team there to discover what exactly the problem is.

| OOC: go with C.
Ri has received his orders from a hell butterfly and so after informing the vice-captain for squad ten, he left the barrack and made for the senkai gate where he'd been order to report to.
He arrived at the gate and saw the usually crowd of kido force members who operated the gate and he saw a man far taller then himself and who was wearing a midnight blue cloak with white stars and moon over a captain Haori
"Ri O'nocht seventh seat of squad ten reporting Sir" Ri said bowing his head to the captain. He was one of the few captain Ri had yet to met which made Ri somewhat uneasy.

| Nick had found this mission from the 12th squad and thought what better to get him closer to the 12th squad then doing a mission with the captain. When he reported to the site they were supposed to meet he noticed two men on who introduced himself as Ri, and a man who he assumed to be the captain of the squad. He ran up to them and stopped he too bowed before the captain. "Nickolas Sane, reporting Captain." He was still starstruck about meeting the captain of the squad he was hoping of joining. He stayed there silent waiting for the captain to talk. | |

| Katrex overheard the call for volunteers to go on a potentially dangerous expedition. While most of the unseated shinigami were too scared to be interested. katrex however was destined for greater things, and if death came to him then so be it, it was a price worth paying.
Katrex approached the small group, he was surprised when he saw ayame in in a captains uniform, he remembered going on a mission with him a few years ago, and the man had barely reached shikai, wow how things changed. "Ayame taicho, Katrex Astra reporting for duty"
He looked down, "I promise not to get in the way!" he said bowing low.

| "Ah hello all of you, I'm so glad you've signed up to come with me on this mission. I'm sure you all read the briefing, so you all know why we're here. Let's find out what exactly is causing those Hollows to act up!" Ryouta smiled and gestured at the Senkai Gate, which began to slowly open. "I'm pleased to meet all of you- but be on your guard. The Hollows we meet will be especially aggressive where we're going."
Ryouta stepped into the Senkai Gate...which opened up on top of a skyscraper in a large urban setting. At the moment, the sun was just going down, and the city's activity was beginning to slow...marginally. Ryouta turned around to address his compatriots. "We are in the Real World City of Johannesburg, South Africa. Let's take a look-see." Ryouta reached into his robes and pulled out a pair of engineering goggles, which he put on. They made him look even crazier than normal. He spun around in a complete circle and then pointed. "I'm picking up a large quantity of Hollow reiatsu in that direction. Let's go."
Wanting to keep the high ground, Ryouta began jumping from building to building. Though he did not draw his sword, he was constantly on the lookout for Hollow reiatsu. When he was wearing his goggles, Ryouta was very difficult, if not impossible, to sneak up on. He had of course noticed other pockets of Hollow reiatsu. He was hoping that they wouldn't run into any, but the sheer number of them made that extremely unlikely. Ryouta continued to glance around as he ran, and then abruptly stopped. "We're about to have visitors," he said conversationally, drawing his sword as he did so.
Over the edge of the building came an impossibly lean looking cat Hollow (about the size of a car)- it was completely white, and actually had a feline face instead of a mask. An Adjuchas. Accompanying it were several larger Hollows; one that resembled a gorilla (it was basically a huge slab of muscle), one that looked like a humanoid rhino (also a huge slab of muscle), one that had six arms and a pair of legs, and one that had a pair of wings and a Hollow mask that stretched forward in a lethally sharp spear like shape. Oddly, each of them had what appeared to be little fungi growing on their backs. "I'll take the kitty," said Ryouta. With a yowl, the cat Adjuchas charged him.
Ryouta Shunpo'd to the side, but only just. "How fast can you turn around, kitty?" With a snarl, the cat Adjuchas changed direction and leaped at him. Ryouta ducked and stepped off the building into the open air. He did not want his battle to interfere with those of his subordinates. They were his responsibility after all. Anyway, the cat was now walking around Ryouta in circles, sizing him up and making feinting strikes. Ryouta yawned very pointedly and obviously. The cat hissed and leaped. Ryouta reversed his grip on his sword and jammed the pommel into the cat's face. "Bakudo no Yojuni: Flower Wreath!" Thorny vines appeared and wrapped around the stunned cat. The roots of them pierced its skin rather easily on its back. Ryouta had hypothesized they might have since the fungi was already there.
The Adjuchas gave a weak growl, but already the kido was draining it of its energy. Ryouta had chosen not to kill this one because he wished to examine the fungi further...

| Katrex nodded at the captains words, and brought his hell butterfly to his finger, not making the same mistake he had once before. He trekked behind the others but keeping relativity near as the navigated there way through the inter-dimension. Eventually they saw the end, the top of a tall skyscraper, the fresh air entering the dismal dimension greatly refreshing.
He stepped out in to the deep yellowy red sunlight. Ayame was already wearing the strange goggles, Kat suppressed a laugh. And soon enough forgot about it as they headed off quickly in the direction of the hollow.
"We're about to have visitors," Ayame said before they had arrived at the main place. Katrex immediately drew his sword checked his teamates positions and covered the greatest blind spot.
"I'll take the kitty," He heard the captain say, Kat surveyed the enemies and quickly decided he's take the winged one, and it was best suited for him, Lightly armoured fast and prone to flying in to his blade he though grinning to himself.
"I'll take winged one," kat said almost immediately after. The winged creature and the other two charged the group, Kat charged back dodging one of the larger beasts and jumped off it up at the winged creature, blocking its charge and clashing with its spear, the both got batted back. Kat landed back of the roof with a roll.
He lured the winged creature away from the others. towards the ventilation machines that he could use for cover and jumping blocks.

| Nick followed the Captain, and his teammates through the gate he stood close by as this was his first time going to the world of the living since he died. He stared at the Captain in awe, so amazed that this was his soon to be Captain. As they ended the tunnel and appeared in a place as the sun was setting it was almost to beautiful for words. He looked up at his Captain as he say him put on these strange engineers goggles which made Nick very curious. Nick followed his Captain as he jumped from building to building clearly noticing that the glasses picked up on reiatsu. [
color=green]Nothing less from a Captain[/color] he thought. He stopped as his Captain came to a halt, and as he said that they were to expect visitors, he pulled his sword out of the violin, and took his fighting stance. He saw as the hollows started to move around the buildings. The Captain called the Cat looking hollow, and Nick could tell that that one was the strongest of all of them. He saw as they began to fight, his zanpaktou growled with excitement, and he knew he was in for a fight. He was observing the remaining hollow, when he heard Kat choose the one with wings, which suited him just fine cause he already knew what he was going to take.
"I got the Gorilla, and Rhino ones." He jumped past the six arms, and went for the Rhino, and Gorilla hollow. He was going to do his best taking on two brute hollows, Nick knew his smarts would be enough to lead the hollow into some traps. He jumped past the Rhino, and Gorilla and played his violin causing the Two beasts to follow him away from the others. He stopped after gaining some distance and smiled, now the fight was going to begin.
His Zanpaktou began to vibrate with excitement and it was only a matter of time for the two beasts to fall. He turned around and faced the beasts as they looked down upon him. Nick stuck both hands out and prepared his first attack all the while reading their movements. If he could get between them he could have a better area to work with. He looked around the area and found a spot where he would not doubt be able to do some damage. He dashed between them and pointed his fingers to their eyes. Byakurai, two lighting bolts came out of his fingers and flashed at beast eyes, Part one of the plan a success.

| Ri had remained silent whether it was due to a uncomfortable feeling about the mission or being ever so slightly hungover he wasn't sure but seeing hollow instinct kicked in and he lunched himself straight into the fight. He shunpo'd between the three hollow , he'd position himself to avoid being seen by the group for a moment which was all he ended.
"Water, what gives life to those who i seek to end, Lightning, what Creates the fire in my hand, Combine, and deliver your judgment upon this sou. Hado thirty Midori Hi Jikkou" Ri said this in a whisper as he held his two hands together. He was near finished the chant when the two hollows noticed him but it was to late. A ball of intense destructive reiatsu formed in Ri's hands , he pulled his hand apart making two balls and he held each to the face of the nearest hollows and fired.
Safety to say that was two down. The six armed hollow now turned and with a wrathful roar he began slamming his fist down at Ri in a rhythmic beat. As he stopped he looked for the remains of Ri but Ri was long gone and now was stand on top of the hollow.
"Such a brute" He said as his left hand reach for his Zanpakuto and in flash of steel and blood he swiped his Zanpakuto out of it's Sheath cut through the hollows mask and returned it to it's sheath.

| Now that Katrex had lured it away it was just waiting for that perfect moment to strike. He concentrated on hiding his reitsu, he even breathed quietly not giving away any possible hint to his location. It took a small while before it got impatient and started searching for him. Which suited katrex just fine. He readied his sword and planned out his next three steps.
He heard the buzzing of wings and prepared to jump.
There! it flew over him and he lept after it. katrex jumped up two pieces of cover and speared the wing of the hollow with his zanpakuto, slicing his way down, rendering its wing useless and thus dropping it to the floor with a tumble and a crash.
Katrex jumped off it and levelled with it. It charged him furiously, but without its speed it was no match for his superior fighting skill, he deflected its spear and sliced its body in half causing its soul to be purified and sent on to Soul society.
He returned back to the group finding pretty much everything dead, and waited for the next instruction.

| Nick stood proud his Byakurai did its job, and blinded the two beasts. Now all that was needed was to destroy them. As the two beast like hollow looked around blindly Nick jumped between them and played a note on his violin. The two hollows attentions were immediately caught and they both threw punches in Nicks direction. All Nick had to do was move himself slightly out of the way and both of the hollows fists collided with the other causing a force to push them in separate directions. Nick followed the Gorilla looking hollow as it crashed into the building to his right. This is going to be easier than I thought. Nick stood in front of the Gorilla as the Rhino hollow recovered from its fall. Once the Rhino had stable footing Nick played another chord. The Rhino charged at him, and when it got close enough Nick was standing in the air above them. The Rhino crashed straight into the Gorilla, and tore right through it. The Gorilla disintegrated into the air. Nick looked at the Rhino as it showed signs of it getting its vision back. "One down one to go.
The Rhino stood up and grinned. Nick looked at it puzzling I wonder Nick started to believe that maybe it was planned that it was going to eat its friend on purpose. Nick could tell that the real battle was going to begin. As the Rhino took its place, Nick stood in his, zanpaktou pulled out he was ready to bring this hollow down. He planned his opponents weight just perfectly as the Rhino began to charge again it fell threw a building as it crashed through each floor of the abandoned building into the basement Nick followed. When Nick landed in the dark basement of the demolished building the hollow came at him. Nick flipped into the air and shot a Byakurai at the mask of it. From his allies spot all they could see was dust and debris from the destroyed building. Nick landed perfectly on the Rhino's head and brought the sword straight threw it. He returned to the spot of all the dead creatures and waited for his Captain to get back.

| Ryouta ran his hands over the strange fungi that covered the back of the cat Adjuchas. It appeared to be giving off a different reiatsu than the rest of the cat was giving...an entirely different reiatsu. Strange...so another spiritual being had attached these fungi to all these Hollows' backs. But for what purpose? Did the fungi provide a sort of mind control? Were they the cause of the strange happenings here?
Ryouta reached out and tried to remove some of the fungi. They seemed to be attached quite firmly to the cat's back. He gave a hard yank and uprooted a fistful of the stuff. It squirmed in his hands and tried to insert tendrils into him. Ryouta crushed it in his fist.
"Hmm..." he turned to his companions. "What I find interesting is that these fungi carry a different reiatsu signature than those of the the Hollows they were on. I think that it may be the cause of the weird stuff that's been happening in this area. I'm going to see if I can locate the source..." Ryouta looked around with his goggles. "It appears to be coming from a stadium of some kind. A football stadium. Let's head out."
As they headed off, Ryouta made sure to keep his Shunpo down to the point where his fellows could keep up; after all, he didn't want them exhausted if they had to fight again. Ryouta was fairly confident in his ability to defend them all if need be...but frankly, he was too minimalistic a person to really want to do that. Ryouta's face did not give this away- but he was wondering, with some concern, whether the disappearance of those fungi, or of the Hollows, would alert whoever was behind this mess.
At the moment, it did not appear so. Their path to the stadium was clear; and his goggles were showing...hmm...no, that was...Ryouta came to a halt about 100 meters from the stadium. He didn't need his goggles to tell him the inside of that place was dangerous...it was crawling with Hollows! From where he stood, Ryouta could sense their sinister presence. "You all can feel that, right? Be on your guard. I expect that-"
Ryouta was cut off by the screeches of several Hollows. These looked like European gargoyles, and they were flying directly at them in a more or less straight line. Ryouta sighed. He wanted to get to the center of that stadium, and this was an interruption that he did not appreciate. "Hado#50: Solar Flare!" A whip of fire about 3 times the diameter of Ryouta's arm appeared; he lashed out with it expertly and neatly cut all of the incoming Hollows in half. These two had whatever that fungi was on their backs.
"Curious...all right, into the stadium we go- stay on my 6!" Ryouta flash stepped and appeared with his...posse, so to speak, in the center of the stadium. All was still...and then the very air seemed to reverberate with Hollow reiatsu as Hollows of all shapes and sizes appeared from behind seats. "Form a circle, get back-to-back," said Ryouta lazily. "Don't worry, I'm confident in your abilities." At one end of the field sat a very interesting looking Hollow. Based on its reiatsu, Ryouta guessed it was an Adjuchas.
It was roughly humanoid, though decidedly larger than a human, and it also seemed to be emitting a strange powder from every pore in its body. This powder settled on the skin of Hollows throughout the stadium and sprouted into little fungi. "Kill them for me, slaves!" the Hollow's voice rang out. At his command, Hollows launched themselves up from their positions and charged toward them.
"Weep, Reifujin Arashi," Ryouta said. He made a gesture with the hilt of his sword and sent blades of water slicing into several Hollow who were charging him.
ooc: i'm gonna let you guys rp fighting off crowds of Hollows before we take a whack at the big guy. remember, these Hollow are more aggressive and tougher than usual

| Nick followed his Captain as they headed toward the stadium. Nick heard that maybe this wasn't it for the fighting and his curiosity kept increasing. As he kept up with the Captain he could feel the strong hollow reiatsu the pressure was enormous, and now he could feel his weapon becoming slightly insane with blood thirst. Nick stopped with the rest of the team as two gargoyle hollows flew at them. As his captain spoke fire had shot from his hand and the two hollows fell. This just keeps getting more interesting he thought. He continued to follow the captain into the stadium and saw as crowds of hollow started to surround them.
He then heard the captain speak."Form a circle, get back-to-back," he automatically formed in the circle and smiled a twisted smile. "Don't worry, I'm confident in your abilities." He Captain finished up and took out a group of charging hollows, after releasing his zanpaktou.
Nick looked in awe, and his curiosity was peaked. So that's what happens when you achieve and release shikai. Nick knew that he wouldn't be able to attack the big guy releasing the spores, with all the hollows who he could tell got stronger as the fungi appeared on them surrounding them. Nick saw a group of hollow coming towards him he took aim "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and tear out your own throat! Bakudo No.9 Hōrin." The orange tendril released from Nicks hands and grouped around the group of hollows and after finishing his new incantation he shouted "Hado No.11 Tsuzuri Raiden!!". Just as the tendril connected to the hollow an electric current flowed through it and sent a shock through them. After those hollows evaporated in the smoke a new group came in and absorbed the fallen hollow. Nick knew what was coming, and he knew they would only get stronger from there.

| The Hollows were swarming in fast- despite the reassurance and statement that he had confidence in his fellows' abilities, Ryouta would be lying if he had stated that he didn't feel a bit of concern. And so he guide his watery blades with great precision, sending them crashing into the bigger foes, as well as the ones farther away that were charging Ceros.
Ryouta's movements were like a dance, he whirled and thrust with his hilt, and his motion caused countless Hollows to be impaled by Reifujin Arashi. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see that the others were fighting remarkably well. He smiled as he continued to slaughter the Hollows. These people had potential.

| Ri moved quickly when the order to form a circle came, he didn't know the captain well but he was a captain and Ri wasn't in the habit of refusing orders. He watched as from behind every shadow came hollows and hollows.
Ri watched his small band of shinigami were surrounds by a tide of red eyes and white faces, he stood opposite of the captain after all he was a high ranked seat and if anything erupted he'd need to protect his comrades.
"Finally" Ri said as he saw the captain release his Zanpakuto,it ment Ri could too."Ruler of the winds arise! Gáircas”. The air around him began to spin around him , fueling him. A vast amount of wind surrounded his Zanpakuto and replaced with the sky blue blade, Gáircas’s released state.
"This is gonna be fun" Ri said prepared himself for the oncoming battle against soul seeking deadly hollows. Ri held his beautiful sky blue sword up as he prepared to kill the leading hollow in the horde.
