Kage sat with his blade, sheathed, across his knees. With his eye's closed he sat and listened to the leaves rustling around him. Feeling the wind against his skin. He opened them to a female sitting in a tree in front of him, sword on her shoulder, leg hanging down off of the branch she sat on. Her smile grew, then she jumped from the tree, landing a few feet in front of him.
"Come on Kage-kun. The Training grounds have opened" Kage smiled and stood sheathing his sword, careful not to cut himself on the sharpened back side.
"Lead the way Risika-sama" The two walked to the training grounds at a hurried rate, joking and bantering back and forth. They stopped and Risika turned to Kage with a serious look
"Dont go easy on me Kage. Please." Kage returned her look with a serious one of his own.
"The thought never crossed my mind Risika-sama" Kage turned and walked into the grounds going to their normal training area, a forested enclave surrounded by trees. He turned back and waited for Risika to get ready. As he turned he was surprised to see Risika runnin at him with her sword drawn, a cry of fury escaping her lips. Kage side stepped her, drawing his own sword, and bringing it down across her shoulders. Risika took the blow and fell to the ground, flipping back over to her feet facing Kage. Kage smiled and dropped into his defensive stance, waiting. Risika charged him again, this time adjusting as Kage side stepped again, bringing her sword down only to meet his blade.
"Nice try Risika-sama" Kage threw her off of him and dropped back into his stance, waiting. Risika grew agitated and came at Kage with blinding speed and began her onslaught. Kage blocked every attack, until Risika grabbed his blade and sliced his shoulder. Kage jumped back, slicing open Risika's hand. Kage looked at the blood on his blade, then watched as Risika licked her wound, smiling at the taste of her own blood.
"Very unwise, Risika-sama" Kage grabbed his blade with both hands, and brought in front of his face. He dropped into a different stance, his blade out in front of him, the tip dipping towards the ground, the sharpened edge outward.
"You fight dirty, and now you will feel the pain you deserve" Kage launched himself at Risika, not giving her anytime to think. Risika barely saw him move, then he was gone. She knew where he was. He was much faster than her. He was standing behind her. She knew just as well that the pain searing across her chest was the slash his blade had left as he attacked her. Kage stood straight up, flinging the blood off of his blade before sheathing it. He didnt even to turn to acknowledge her as he spoke
"Fighting dirty is not proper swordsmanship Risika-sama. It pains me to have to turn my blade on you, but if it you will not listen to sensei, then maybe this will teach you." Kage walked away, looking for someone from 4th squad, to bring back to heal Risika. He walked away with a heavy heart. But it had to be done.
