(OOC: This is for my new buddy, Jin.)

Kajitora sat on a rock by the forest and waited for his sparring parthner to arrive. He was worried that in the future he would have to use his trump card-his Shikai but he had never used it before. He was planning on working his Shikai learning into the sparring match. He wanted to learn more stragedy and skills in battle but he also wanted to know how his Shikai would factor into that equation. Kajitora's jet-black ponytail shined in the waning afternoon sun, his dark eyes reflecting the orange light perfectly in a spheric shape. His tied back sleeves fluttered in the wind as he put his hands behind his head and looked up into the sky. The breeze felt good there in Seireitei, he hoped that it would remain that way.

Jin walked slowly walked through the trees that made up the forest bordering seretei, his sandals feeling cool against his hot skin. It was a preety good day, a light breeze whistled through the leaves as the sun shone down through the dense vegetation. Jin had arranged to meet kajitora for a spot of sparring but he'd over slept as usual and now at nearly 2 pm was only just making his way to the spot they used, it was far from his room so it wouldnt take too long which was a comfort as Jin was preety adverse to long walks they were just so boring, much better ways to spend a day in his opinion.

Usually he'd have to be worried at this point about his partner being pissed at his timing, but he'd come to know Kajitora as a preety laid back guy so he figure he wouldnt mind.....too much.It was probably the reason the got along so well both having such chilled out personalities. On the brightside at least the fight would be more fun, with his excess rest Jin was ready too go all out. The training he'd been doing in the past weeks had really spurred him on and he was keen to see they're results. But he did have to wonder, he'd never actually seen Kajitora use his blade what was he in for?

He quickly reached the clearing where Kajitora was sat, Jin's katana was in it's usual position of being rested upon his shoulder just next to the collar on his kimono, on a day like this it was preety nice to feel the cool metal on his skin.

"Hey man, so you ready for this?" He called to the man lain on the rock

(OOC: No problem, I'll be on here alot the next four days since I don't have to work. When I do have to work, I usually don't reply until later that night when I'm off. So no worries. Sweet, I was hoping you wouldn't mind if I used my Shikai later-I want to test it out.)

Kajitora had felt Jin approaching, felt his reiatsu like a fire walking through the cool breeze. He waited until Jin spoke to jump up. He smiled and greeted him, "Hay, yeah I'm ready when you are." Kajitora noticed how tall Jin was, a regular person would have thought the fight would be unfair-due to the huge heigh gap but Kajitora had been a samurai and his Judo training made him unafraid of larger opponents. He admired Jin's sword for a moment before he drew his own. Kajitora was mostly interested in the different tsubas (hand guards) of shinigami's zanpakutous. He liked Jin's hand tsuba, which was in the shape of two butterflies. Kajitora's tsuba was a phoenix swirling away from what-upon close inspection- looked like ashes. The two flying animals to Kajitora symbolized their potential as Shinigami.

Kajtora drew his zanpakutou (Suzaku), and took his basic kendo stance with his sword out in front of him. Kajitora's reiatsu sharpen and became heavier but he let his goofy, little kid smile show as he asked, "Would like the first move, or shall I?" The sun was fast declining in the sky, but the battle was just beginning

OOC: i was gonna shorten you name to kaj when i type it, but if you dont like it just let me know and il change it, it's just i use names quite alot in my post's and it can get quite time consuming. also i would like for us to have control over minor actions, but if your adverse to the idea just let me know and ill delete it from the post, and wont put it in any further post's.

Jin watched as Kajitora rose from his resting place, getting up and drawing his blade, Jin watched as his opponent eye'd his blade inspecting it's intricate design, he alway's enjoyed this part of a fight, the stand off as the two players analyse each other ready for the game that will ensue. As he'd noticed Kajitora looking his blade over had given him the incentive to do the same, as he did he noticed the phoenix design on the hand guard, Jin had always had a thing for the phoenix maybe because it was just so completely adverse to his personality, a bird that even in death refused to rest only seconds later rising from the ashes, yes it was definately a symbol that had gained his respect.

Kajitora raised his familliar grin as he gave Jin the offer of initiating combat, not one to throw away an advantage he decided to take Kaj up on the offer.

He flash stepped forward swinging his blade in a head on attack at Kaj releasing his reiatsu as he went fuelling the power of his attack, he could feel it had grown as he released it, it was almost like spritual armour a thick dense force smothering those too weak too handle its presence, unfortunately on an opponent like Kajitora there would be no such effect only the increase it gave to Jins attributes.

He felt the impact ring through his arm as his blade clashed with kaj's own both shinigami exerting equal and opposite force, with a quick movement Jin switched to the offensive swinging his katana with deadly precision only to have the blows avoided and parry'd by Kaj. he kicked backward gaining some distance from his foe

"Bakudou number 4: Crawling Rope"

Jin felt the energy burst from his palm as the kidou was released toward his opponent.

Kajitora was impressed by Jin's skill with a sword, some of his old Samurai-ness made him judge people by their swordskills. And Jin was now definitely a person he deeply respected, he would kill to have someone that skilled at his side in battle. Once Jin moved backwwards, Kajitora out of habit switched from watching Jin's upper body to watching his hands-he had found this an excellent way to see if an opponent was about to use kidou. Sure enough, Bakudo #4 was being shot at him. As Jin pointed his hand forward, Kajitora thought that it would be a fire ball or something thrown so he decided to use Hadou # 58 for its particular effect. "Hadou #58: Tenran!" He used twice as much Reiryoku to cast it without using the incantation, using more than half of his reserve. He didn't know how higher ranking shinigami did this continously, just using a kidou once without the incantation made him feel drained.

From Kajitora's hand came the tornado-like blast, he was hoping the kidou would entangle the rope at least or send the rope back towards its sender at best. Under any other circumstances using such a kidou this early would be idiotic but he wanted to see what would happen with the rope. While his opponent was dealing with the rope, Kajitora backed into the forest-his sword ready.

Ok as you know Jin you're no longer viable for spirit points in the academy. Kajitora however Gets a nice +3 for his effots so far. And i do believe that it's a time for a thread locking as you both have 10 in spirit now?

he Kajitora would you mind if we move our fight to the rukongai section and ill make the next post there?
