Sonseray walked out onto the field, awaiting a sparring partner. To tell the truth, he was more than a little worried about attempting to master his Zanpakuto, but he had to learn his shieki, or he would never be acctepted in to one of the Gotie 13.

"This is it" he thought. It would be his first fight using his Zanpakuto versus anything but a training dummy. He had to fight. He had to learn how to use konpaku-tsumeato to it's full extent. He wondered if his opponent would be strong. It didn't matter. If he couldn't dodge, if he couldn't react, then he deserved to die. This opponent would be his true test, to see if he was worthy of konpaku-tsumeato.

Sonseray watched the others fight on the field. Watched them get cut. Watched them feel pain. He would feel sweat today. He would be covered in his own sweat and blood, but in the end, it would all be worth it to master konpaku-tsumeato. Then, he appeared.

His ghost like figure seemed to come out of nowhere, and his voice chilled Sonseray to the bone You do know, of course, that I won't help you should you fail to dodge and fight. No miracles are going to keep you alive. If you fail, if you die, then I will just point and laugh as you fall, and your life ends the Zanpakuto's spirit said. "Shut up... I won't fail" Sonseray said with a shutter, but he sounded unceartain. The ghost like Zanpakuto's slow, sarcastic, and sadistic voice had that kind of affect on him, and just like that, the uninterested konpaku-tsumeato dissipeared as suddenly as he had came. Then, Sonseray turned to see his opponent...

Kuro was walking through the hallways and saw a student in the sparring grounds, appearing to be talking to himself. "Maybe he wants a good fight, well it is about time I fought someone weaker than I am... I am tired of fighting everyone who is three to five times stronger than myself." He said calmly as he let out a long sigh. Kuro walked onto the sparring grounds and up to the boy, "Yo! Are you looking for a good spar?" Kuro said warmly. Kuro stretched, "I was hoping to fight someone here anyways today.." Kuro made a peace sign with his hands. "So how does the offer sound? I may not look much... But hey... I am the schools Kidou nerd!" Kuro said with a laugh. Kuro looked down, "The main reason I want this fight... Is because I am going to put out a request to join the 5th squad... So it may be my last duel as an academy student. Heh... Make sure to make it a good one for me."

"I will" Sonseray said with a slight smirk. "If I can't dodge, kill me, DON'T HOLD BACK!" he said. He looked his opponent up and down. He really didn't look like much, but he wasn't going to underestimate someone who was about to join the fifth court guard squad. He thought about what konpaku-tsumeato had said. He had to win this fight. With that, sonseray unsheated his Zanpakuto,a nd ran toward his opponent with a slash to the stomach.


(Lol really short post. Oh well, this will get more exiting once the fight starts. And hello Nerdy-Chan. Nice to meet you.)

Kuro's hand lit with reiastu as he knocked down the blade. "Way of binding #2... Block." Kuro looked at him oddly as he jumped back. "So why would you want to die?" Kuro said as oil began to drip off of his hands. Kuro aimed his hands at Sonseray. "Way of Binding #14 Oil Slick" Oil shot towards Sonseray quickly. An old man in a cloak of feathers appeared on the sidelines. Boy.. I don't like his zanpaktou... He is too blood thirsty and cold... Don't take him for granted.

Kuro nodded and then began shooting oil at random places in the sparring grounds while hopping around. Once a majority of the sparring ground was covered in oil Kuro began hopping over the oil spots touching any thing he could see. Trees, rocks, walls everything that surrounded Sonseray. "Are you sure you don't want to play easy first? You might slip on the oil while you are being so serious swinging around that sword.... hehe..." Kuro said teasingly.

(O.o it is fine... mine is too, I am looking forward to it.)

(XD I didn't know. If that's the case, screw kidou, I'll just use my zanpakuto. but 90% of those arn't canon anyway, so why go by those , plus it's a wiki, so if I wanted I could just add mine in 0.o. That makes the game a little unfair don't you think?)
"If your going to prevent me from coming to you, I'll just wait for you to come to me. This way the oil slicks will work against you. That was a bold move don't you think?" he said. He prepared his zanpakuto for an attack. "Now, we can get to work with our Zanpakuto's.



(Short post but I'm eager to get rid of my epic failiure.)

(Don't diss my Kidou XP I guess I will have to show you its strength all in this next post... I mean most of the attack is basically set up anyways.)

Kuro turned leaping onto the wall surrounding the sparring grounds. "Do you know what the kidou spell Ambush Flare does?.. Did you notice that odd glowing line that is floating everywhere around you... connected to everywhere I just touched. Those threads can channel the spells through them." Kuro aimed his hands at one of the tree's he touched. "Way of Destruction #3 Crimson Strike." The small burst of energy hit the thread spreading all across the arena. The heat from the combination sparked the oil, and it grew into a mighty blaze. The surrounding area around Sonseray was light a burning pit of hell on Earth. Kuro smiled at him through the flames pulling his hands back. "I am facing the muzzle of a cannon at you. You are a pistol. I am a cannon. In timing and power, my weapon surpasses yours. Have you seen... The Flying Blade Attack? Way of Destruction #23 36 Pound Cannon!" The large blast of wind shot into the flames in Sonseray's direction. The wind fanned the flames up making them seem like they had consumed everything in the center. The sparring grounds no longer looked like a place for fighting, but more like a giant furnace that would burn its inhabitants to a crisp. "Now... New student please be alive... I hope that didn't kill you."

Kuro looked down for a second, "Well you did say not to hold back... May the tears of those killed, of those harmed by those of wickedness deliver their judgment upon those around. Way of Destruction #6 Rain of Pain" Acid started to rain down from the sky over the hellish flames. Though it was raining, the acid did not come close to putting out the flames. "You are probably in pain child... I hope you over come this and fight me." Kuro said calmly as he sat down on the wall watching to see what the boy would do. "The harsher the situation you survive... The stronger you are when you come out of it..."

(Don't diss kidou in front of the Kidou man XP lol I made it harder for you, so that way if you overcome it you will gain more points in Spirit power(Hopefully XP). Try to make it as long and as brilliant as you can.. You need as many points as you can!! ^.^)

+.5 spirit to Sonseray, remember spirit power is basically stamina training, pushing your body and power further and unlocking untapped energy
