Kuro sighed angrily as he entered the sparring grounds. He watched as the students walk away from where he was heading. The whispers angered him more. He heard things like Show off! or Weakling! Kuro was tired of all of the disrespect. He knew nothing would be different if he did not prove himself to everyone. Kuro looked up and said out-loud. "Someone, spar me!" Kuro growled, as the students laughed at his comment. "Someone... Please I want to duel you...I will prove myself to this school! I am not just some pathetic nerd!"

Saroki sat down on a bench near Kuro, she watched as he called out the students for a sparring match. She was never one to spar someone like Kuro, but if it would stop the annoying whispers...

Saroki sat up and walked towards Kuro "Your only a pathetic nerd if you choose to be...I am Saroki Kanime, fourth seat of squad six, and I would like to duel you." Saroki said, her voice booming down like thunder.

Kuro looked at her, listening to what she said. He nodded slowly and got in the center of the sparring grounds. He did not draw his sword. He bowed and then gave her a serious look. "I am ready when you are...."

Saroki walked a few feet away from Kuro, she unchieved her sword, Kuros reiatsu didn't seem very strong, she didn't see him as a real opponent. "Come at me with all you've got, something tells me your not used to holding a blade." She said, a bit of sarcasim sneaking into her words.

Kuro nodded his head, "No, I am terrified of my sword." Kuro laughed quietly, "Though.. I am no one to underestimate." Kuro raised his hand, "May the black sounds of those who have felt death emit and destroy! Way of Destruction #7 Black Thunder!" A wave of black reiastu shot from his palm zooming towards Saroki. A sound of Thunder boomed as the technique was casted.

As the blast shot to Saroki, Kuro sprinted around a few feet from the side of Saroki, "Topple over, spill into the Ocean, Pollute the Waters! Way of Binding #14 Oil Slick!" Oil splashed towards Saroki.

Kuro flipped in the air, and mid air he aimed his hand. "Way of Destruction #3 Crimson Strike!" A bold of energy shot towards the oil. I hope that worked... Kuro thought to himself. Sorry boy, but I highly doubt it....

Saroki sidestepped to the right, dodgeing the kido, Very well executed...But he still needs to work on his speed..

She watched as Kuro sprinted towards her, another kidou eh? She was getting the feeling this was the only thing this boy could do. Though that wasn't a problem, she jumped back a few feet hoping to avoid the oil, a bit of it splashed onto her feet.

She then widened her eyes, Another Kido!? The thought to herself, "Let mine gauntlets sparkle with the hardness of diamonds! Let mine forearms hold fast with the steadiness of a mountain! Bakudo five, Guard!" She yelled out, her hands glowed with kido energy. Saroki grabbed the bolt of energy with her bare hands and threw it aside.

Saroki looked at her hand, it didn't seem the guard helped that much, her hand was still burnt from touching the kido. "Your zanpakuto is your greatest weapon....I will show you what it can do..." She yelled out as she ran towards Kuro.

Kuro smiled pulling out his zanpaktou. Do not act cool child, you know you're scared. Kuro threw his zanpaktou towards her head as he muttered something. He began to run around the area, a faint glowing following him. After a few minutes of running, he knew she was about to catch up. Kuro spun around and raised his hand towards her, "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Way of Binding #9 Strike!" The ray of light shot towards Saroki. Kuro reached around his arm with his other hand and aimed it at his shoulder, "Way of Destruction #3 Crimson Strike!" A smaller ball of energy hit his shoulder. A large spark was made, the glowing trail behind Kuro swiftly began to ignite, all the way to where his sword landed. "Are you familiar with Way of Binding #12?"

(OOC: O.o it is similar to what momo did in the show except weaker since she used way of destruction #31 and I used #3 lol. Ok... It was a lot weaker.... Cuz not only was it just #3 it was a toned down version. He was just hoping to catch the oil that was on your foot lol.)

Saroki caught Kuro's zanpakutos blade, her hand bled a little as she threw it aside, she then started chaseing Kuro, this was becomeing annoying, though when she was just about to end it he casted a kido. The ray of light hit Saroki, a red net-like substance paralyzing her. She sighed slightly.

This kido was weak though, she could break free, but it would take a bit of time, Saroki pierced her zanpakuto through the net, starting to break free. It seemed Kuro was going to try to set her on fire, "I never thought that kido could improvise for a zanpakuto..." She muttered, a malice smile wiped across her face.

Saroki broke free of the kido before she could be set on fire, the boy was smart, but the kido was weak.

"Your clever....But that kido was weak....Hado four, pale lightning!" A kido was starting to charge, a white glowing orb forming on the tip of Saroki's left index finger. She then sprinted towards Kuro, this boy was clever, and she didn't want to fall into another one of his traps.

Saroki quickly made it into attack range, since Kuro didn't have his zanpakuto anymore, the only real weapons wher his kido. Saroki held her blade diagonally in front of her, she then pressed forwards into Kuro, attacking him with her zanpakuto wasn't the goal at the time.

She pressed her left index finger into Kuro's left shoulder, the charged kido released, a large white bolt of lightning attempted to shoot straight into Kuros left shoulder. I need to watch out for this guy, I need to think before doing anything...

Kuro cursed under his breath as he felt the fingers pressed against his shoulder. He let out a roar of pain, falling back on to the ground. He looked around seeing his zanpaktou only a few feet away. He rolled to it and grabbed it. I don't want to stand... Kuro thought to himself. If I do I will get mauled agian.. And what will happen if you stay and cower? Kuro sat there for a moment unsure. You need to know you are scared and accept it.. If you have not realized that then why are you even here? The comment infuriated Kuro. I have come to gain the power to protect! Kuro put his right hand on the ground and started to lift himself up. I want them to know I can! Kuro used his zanpaktou with his left hand to finish pushing himself up. So what are you going to do about it? "I want them to know I can protect them!!!! I will show them!!!!!" Good... Kuro aimed his hand at Saroki. The image of the car accident appeared in his mind. "May the black sounds of those who..." The image of the children appeared in his mind. " have felt death emmit and destroy!" Kuro pulled back his hand and reiastu began to gather and his eyes glowed blue from reiastu. "Way of destruction #7 Black Thunder!" The image of the bandits appeared in his mind. Kuro slammed his hand forward as Black reiastu thundered from his hand, this time faster and larger than before. It was apparent that Kuro put the remaining energy he had into the blast.

Kuro fell to his knees, staring at the hand he just casted from. It was minorly burned from the spell. Kuro sighed to himself, hoping that he finished it. You did good child, though it is obvious you have lost. You were out of your league from the beginning. You just needed the experience, and needed to see where you stand. Kuro nodded at the voice's comment heavily panting.

Saroki jumped back a few feet from Kuro, it looked like he was done. What?.. The boy was getting up, it didn't seem he was finished, he started to cast the kido, but something was different. Something didn't feel right, Saroki widened her eyes as he casted the kido.

This was stronger than before, much stronger, it could be lethal if she let it hit her. Saroki! Watch out! Saroki attempted to block the black wave of reiatsu with her zanpakuto, she tryed to hold her ground, but she was quickly being pushed back.

Saroki fought the wave of black reiatsu, though finally she had to draw out her own reiatsu, a blast of blue reiatsu hit the kido, she then began to yell out, drawing out more of her own reiatsu. She finally pushed the kido back, the black reiatsu quickly disappearing into thin air.

That attack was incredible for a academy student, He might be a captain one day...

Saroki chieved her sword and walked up to Kuro, she held out her hand to him, "Well, I think we are done for the day, you deserve some rest." She said, her voice a bit joyful.

Kuro panted more, "No... not yet!..." Kuro forced himself to stand holding his zanpaktou. Boy don't over do it. Kuro raised his blade triumphantly. Then he started falling over on his face mid swing from exhaustion. He pushed himself up with his right hand and smiled at her, "Ok... Maybe a rest will be good..." So this is the power of a 4th seat. Maybe we will be fighting on the same level some day.

Kuro forced himself to a sitting position and pulled out a bag from inside his robes, "I will want to duel again soon, Ok!" Kuro smiled as he slowly opened up the bag. He threw her a rice bun. "Don't worry I am a good cook, I used to cook for orphans at an orphanage.... So re-mach later this week? Let me learn a little more." Kuro nodded as he took a small bit of a rice bun. He smiled at her again making a peace sign with his hands, "Until then, I accept defeat."

Saroki grabbed Kuro's zanpakuto as he was about to swing, "Your going to kill yourself this way..." She muttered to him, she catched the rice bun and took a small bite out of it. It was no lie, he was a good cook, Orphans? Her interest grew, "You use to cook at a orphanage?...A re-match? Maybe when you get a little faster, and work on your kido. But that last attack catched me off guard...." She sighed a little, finishing the rice bun before she realised it.

Saroki sighed, "At least it will make the students shut up for a little while..." She mumbled. A student ran to Saroki from the academy, "Ummm, this is for you." The young shinigami handed Saroki a scroll, she studied it for a bit, another mission. She started walking away, she waved to Kuro as she walked, "Duty calls..." She eventaully disappeared into the academy building.
