Momo never usually realised the importance of some lessons, whats the point in learning about things that have already happened? We can't change the past but nevertheless she saw the importance of some aspects of learning.
She slumped through the door of the classroom, books hanging in her hand the lack of interest displayed by her facial expressions at that moment. she took a seat at the back of the room put her arms on her books and observed the other people entering the room, the popular ones, the geeks and the people like her who didn't really want to be there. When the teacher eneterd the room, the pupils stood up Sit gestured the teacher in a flippant manner Momo under her breath mutterd Wow this is going to be a fun lesson.
This humoured the pupil sitting next to her, the girl leaned over and inrtoduced herself with a friendly smile ,Hi there, i'm Kaiyo, not something Momo would usually warm to, but i've got to make friends sometime she thought to herself.
Silence boomed the teacher, Now turn to page 23 in your textbooks the sound of pages being turned made momo smile, you could tell the people who had already flicked through the book and the people who struggled to find page 23. Momo hadn't even looked at the front of the book before she turned to the twenty third page, as it turned out this book explained the history of and the current Gotei 13, well at least this isn't a complete waste of my time she thought. The second the teacher began to speak Momo began to zone out, she had already been taught 9 of the 13 sqauds by the members of noble family, she had even been introduced to two of them, it does pay to be privellidged, her adopted father had told her once.
So Momo began to pay attention once the teacher reached her explanation of the tenth squad captain, after being prompted to stay awake by a hard poke from the boy to her other side. Now on to the history, who was the first captain commander of the Gotei 13? Momo looked around the room and judging that no-one else was going to volunteer she lazily raised her hand I believe the answer is Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai. The teacher raised one eyebrow slightly at Momo and raised a small half smile in the corner of her mouth That belief would be correct, her gaze lingering over Momo for a second longer than it should have she continued with the lesson.
Kaiyo maybe you could learn a few things from your classmate, Kaiyo looked up in an indignified manner and at the thought of everybody looking at her, Momo looked around the room and dropped her head onto the desk. For the rest of the lesson Momo tried to keep a relatively low profile, only answering questions when the teacher adressed them to her specifically, she dutifully took notes of all subjects mentioned, although her history was already above the class average Momo liked the noise of a silent class taking notes. As the bell erupted the class into small talk, Momo rose slowly from her desk and was stopped by the teacher while trying to make a brisk exit, 'I'd like you to revise chapter 3 from the book, i think you'll agree with me when i say you know chapters one and two well enough?'. Momo was warming to her new teacher, she was an observant woman who payed attention to the smallest of details. That's probably why she's a history teacher Momo chuckled to herself while leaving the class.

(OOC: Thankies ^^)

As Momo wandered slowly to her next lesson, eyes fixed low in front of her, she pondered her previous lessonm Maybe this whole academy thing wont be as bad as i thought. She looked at her timetable, head down she nearly walked into a few other students, Sorry she mumbled as this happened. It turned out her next lesson was on The laws of Soul Society, the teacher explained as the students filed into the room.
Momo chose a seat next to the only person she knew, Kaiyo, again Kaiyo never seemed to stop smiling but Momo didn't really mind, as Kaiyo made up for the smiling she didn't do.
Momo rummaged around in her bag and produced a notebook and a pen, she then began to copy down the laws as the teacher read them out, It is against the law for any citizen of Soul Society to create weapons of a dangerous nature not sanctioned by the feudal government. To do so is treason most of these seemed fairly obvious to Momo, it being against the law to commit murder, or create weaponry. One law though, did catch her attention It is a crime for a Shinigami to remain in the human world longer than a certain time limit as this is viewed as living a second life the teacher said in the same monotonous tone. On hearing this Momo began to remember her old life in the human world, the life she led at home and the life she led away from home. The people she knew, her friends, her family. She felt a longingness to return but knew that this was not possible. What length of time would count as living a second life? She asked, fascinated by the thought of returning, with the rest of the class looking at Momo now and whispering between themselves the teacher gestured her hand for silence and said, while raising one eyebrow, I dont see how that information is relevant to you, Momo and she continued to read out the rules. At the end of the lesson, she made a hurried escape avoiding the rest of her classmates in the fear that they may actually talk to her. It seemed the forgot about what Momo had said very quickly so she managed to escape the embaressment on this occasion.
