FIrst day of classroom. Ken"ichi had never studdied in his life, at least from what he can remember. He decided pretending to pay attention was the best way to do it today, and quite possibly every day there after. THe only thing he was really interested in was the shinigami of the older days and some of the majot key events he had heard of, but never understood why or exactly what happened. Luckly he was at the back of the class and his hair was long enough to keep his eyes covered. He did have a good work out the day before completing his zanpakuto training. He decided to close his eyes for a bit.
-RING RING RING-
Ken awoke with a jump. Stupid class bell. Well at least it went by quick. He decided to go to the library to do some research on the things he was interested in. He began thinking of what he really wanted to look into. The first thing that came to his mind was wanting to know more about the person everybody related him to; Renji Abarai. Upon getting to the library he walked directly to the history section.
-Where is it?- He was looking for the "Great Shinigami of Past" section. "There it is." He finally found the section and began running his finger along the spines of the books searching for.."Ah ha." Abarai, Renji. He opened the book and began to read.
"Renji Abarai grew up in the 78th disctrict of Roukongai, where he was an orphan and friends with Rukia Kuchik. He decided to become a soul reaper after all his friends died and he wanted a better life for himself. Renji was top of his class, being very adept at swordsmanship, even though he was inept at kidou. Upon graduation from the academy he join the 5th division under Captain Sosuke Aizen, along with Kira Izuru and Momo Hinamori, friends from the academy. Renji was moved to the 11th division due to his exceptional swordsmanship, eventurally working his was up to 6th seat. Later, Renji was promoted to lieutenant of the 6th division under Captain Byakuya Kuchiki. Renji had a major role in many world changing events along with aid from a group of humans, most notably the substitute shinigami, Ichigo Kurasaki.
Renji's zanpakuto was called Zabimaru. It's spirit was a large baboon with a snake tail. It was battle-loving and proud, very much like it's weilder. His bankai was Hihio Zabimaru. For more information on the zanpakuto see Historical Greats: Zanpakuto of Ages."
After read up on Renji he was much more proud to be looked at as him. He looked up at the shelves and picked up a few more bookbs; Ichigo Kurasaki-The First and Only Substitue Shinigami, Defining Moments in Shinigami History, Secrets of Kidou, and the Zanpakuto book. He looked at them all.
"Great. Lots of reading."

Ken had a dream later that night. Once again he was in his metal world with the woman. She was, more definitely, the spirit of his zanpakuto.
"What is your name? I wish to wield you properly." Ken was sure it was his zanpakuto. It had to be.
"If you wish to wield me, you must beat me." She said. "And that may not be enough yet. You have a long way to go. I am a very tricky sword. None have been like me before. Now draw your sword."

Ken woke in a cold sweat. That was the first time they had exchanged words. ANd he knew whtat he was saying. He said what he wanted to say. Which got him thinking about one of the books he had gotten from the library. He went of and picked it up. "Zanpkauto of Ages huh? She said there had been no other like her." He flipped open the book and stopped in the captain section. "Toshiro Hitsugaya, captain of the 10th division. His zanpakuto was named Hyōrinmaru. It was ice." His mind flashed to his dream long ago before he started the academy. The second woman he was. She was wearing blue and had a very cold appearance. He kept looking for others.
"Kaname Tōsen. Suzumushi. Suzumushi's bankai, named Suzumushi Tsuishiki: creates a large, black dome centered at Tōsen's location and anchored to the ground with ten rings. Anyone within the dome loses the ability to sense anything around them."
The last girl he saw wearing the yellow and black appeared to be very dark and mysterious. Again, he kept looking. Leaving the captain section and going to rouge shinigami he saw another familiar zanpkauto. "Maki Ichinose. Nijigasumi. When Nijigasumi is drenched with his spiritual energy it is able to create limitless amounts of light." The second girl was all white. He went to the very last section. "Most Powerful Zanpkauto: Ryūjin Jakka. Wielded by the great Captain-commander Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai. When released, the sword consumes him and the surrounding area in flames. It is the most powerful fire-based zanpakutō in Soul Society, and the sheer power of the flame can disintegrate almost anything the sword is waved at. While he is surrounded by flames, if his enemy will get close to him he will be turned in to dust. Yamamoto is an exceedingly powerful fighter, able to easily combat two captains, as well as several arrancar, with Ryūjin Jakka's shikai." The first woman he saw. Her hair was blowing so wildly it looked as if it were fire. All these great zanpakuto and reminded him of the women he saw in his dream so long ago. Where these the types of power he could tap into once he grew enough? His hopes were high, but his eyes were heavy. He fell back asleep on the book.

"So. You have learned of us have you not? Now draw your sword so we can begin to train you ourselves."
