Kaiyo had never liked being in a classrom, she's always try to pay attention but get too distracted, but this time she had a plan, her first classroom lesson and she was going to make a good impression, seeing as she missed the first real lesson after faling over very quickly, then sleeping through the lesson; a minor distraction.
Kaiyo entered the classroom with full intent to learn something; she had her books set neatly on her desk, her pencils had been pre-sharpened and she was wide awake. The teacher entered the classrom and everyone stood up, she began talking about the histroy of Soul Society; Kaiyo was drifting off the sleep already, luckily for her, her new teacher had also come prepared to the lesson. Kaiyo lay her head on the table and slowly shut her eyes to the sound of the teacher talking.
*THUD* Kaiyo woke up, arms flailling and books flying. The teacher smiled sweetly at Kaiyo, 'Pop quiz!' she boomed into her ear. Being an optimist Kai hoped she had learnt something....somehow.
Kaiyo looked sheepishly around the room, and the rest of the class was scribbling down on their paper, her eyes connected with the teacher and Kaiyo snapped down to look at her paper, 'No harm in trying', she whispered to herself'.
Question 1: Who protects the King?
Kaiyo sat silently for a while, wondering if she could cheat without being noticed by the teacher, she looked up to see the teacher walking walking slolwy towards her, that was a no.
Okay okay, come you can do this, who protects the king.....well he's a royal so it would be royal something... answer 1: the royal guard
Kai couldn't help but take a small amount of pride from knowing the first answer, this was until the teacher yelled, 'Five minutes left' Kaiyo sighed heavily and moved on, Question 2: Who makes up the central 46?
resisting the urge to put Shinigami Kaiyo thought about when she was given a tour of the Acadamy, her tour guide was talking all the way though the tour...The central 46 chambers serve the shinigami royalty Thats helpful thought Kaiyo. they are made up of 40 wise men and 6 judges from Soul Society; an answer, Kaiyo wrote it down.
Question 3: State two laws for Shinigami?
It was at this point Kaiyo decided she hated her teacher. ummm...Shinigami must not...give their powers to humans. got one, half way there, Shinigami must not use forbidden kido. Sorted, this test isn't so hard
Question 4: what are the walls of Sereitei made of?
To kaiyo, that question seemed stupid, honestly who really cares what stone they used. Once again Kaiyo's tour guide sprung to mind, she made a bid deal about the walls...a material known to negate all Reiryoku, similar to magnetic lodestones....still not right erm... AKiyo thought hard about the tour and the walls...spirit reducing stones!
'1 minute left, time to finish up!' The teacher grinned at Kaiyo while saying this, taking some kind of pleasure from the thought of one of her students failing.
kaiyo quickly checked the rest of the questions, okay i reckon i can finish this. Kaiyo becan frantically writing down her answers, with no time to be sure of each one she was just determined to finish the test.

'you got 82%'Kaiyo was fairly certain she heard a hint of anger in her teachers voice, she didn't particulalry care, she was just thrilled to have done so well in her test.
it was the end of the lesson and a particulalry annoyed techer had asked Kaiyo to stay behind after the end of the lesson, Kaiyo thought this was for one of two reasons, number one: she was going to recommend her immediate graduation of the academy, number two: she was going to get very mad for Kaiyo nearly falling asleep in her lesson, and missing the frist lesson. Regardless of the imminent danger of the end of the lesson Kaiyo was quite enjoying this lesson, she had learnt something, which was definately a bonus.
The bell for the end of the lesson went and Kaiyo strolled over to the front of the classroom, her teaching sitting casually at her desk.
'Do you now why i wanted to talk to you?'. Of course it was a trick question, Kaiyo could have guessed a reason but it wouldn't be the right answer, 'Erm..not really miss' Kaiyo smiled akwardly. 'Well for various reasons you don't need to know, your timetable says you have a free period next, correct?'. The girl nodded politely. 'Well you will now be attending an extra class, healing arts. Here's your slip, you will give this to your new teacher in romm 32b'.'sure thing, you said the 32b right?'. The teacher nodded as Kaiyo left the room, before reaching the door she mad one more comment,'Oh and kaiyo Saiyouko, if you fall asleep in my class one more time, i'll have you running laps for the rest on the term'.
Hmmm, healing arts, sounds useful at least. Kaiyo's new class seemed quite interesting, she walked in as subtly as possible, not that her new teacher would have minded, he was an old man, with white hair and he semed quite peaceful to say the least.Kaiyo was given a seat next to one of her more familiar classmates, Stark Shunsui, she sat down next to him with a polite nod of the head, followed by and happy smile. 'Okay class, today we'll dive right in and focus on a very important aspect of healing. Today you will try healing some frogs.'. Kaiyo coughed slightly, trying not to laugh at the thought of healing a frog. 'Chiyudo, is a very hard technique and requires at lot of any hard work, use the sheet on your desk and focus, call me if any of you manage to heal your frog'. Kaiyo looked sadly into her frogscut, it had a small surface wound, nothing life threatening, 'Down't worry froggy, i'll save you'. Kaiyo looked over to Stark, he was deep in concerntration, reading his sheet through to get the hang of the incantation.
'Break apart and return, turn and overcome. Unity from division before the sickle moon. Chiyudo #1, Mend' Kaiyo held her hands over the frogs wound, one palm on top of the other, and prayed it would wouldn't kill the poor thing. The edges of the wound began to curl against each other, covering the skin up slowly, Kaiyo focused her spiritial energy into her hands and watched as the frogs wound began to heal. During the very slow process of healing the frog, three other class members had managed to heal their frogs, Stark included. Kaiyo tried not to lose focus too much but still managed a congratulatory grin in Starks direction. Finally after a very tiresome 15 minutes Kaiyo had healed her frog, 4th in class, I'll take it.

Kaiyo was never one to try and hide her emotions, after this particular lesson she would re-think that. She had made a foolish mistake, entering the classrom Kaiyo had yawned, the action itself would be seem as irrelevant to anyone except the girl's History teacher who had previously warned KAiyo about falling asleep in her lesson.
Kaiyo walked in, took her seat, and yawned at the precise moment the teacher had entered the class, her only response was, 'Kaiyo Saiyouko, you will stay behind after class' The girl frowned slightly and lowered her head in defeat. The rest of the lesson involed the History of Hollows, i don't care about this! she screamed inside her head as she was picked to answer yet another question; about Gillian-class Menos. By the end of the lesson Kaiyo had a theory, the classroom she was sitting in was a time paradox, whereby upon entry to the room time was taken and stretched to as far as it could be taken, making and hour seem like an eternity, Kiayo was confident she could get others so sign an agreement to this theory.
The beel rang for the end of the lesson and kaiyo swept her books into her bag, sauntering to the front of the class, where her teacher stood, foor tapping and grinning at her own evil thoughts, like a lamb to the slaughter, the girl mused to herself. 'Kaiyo' she put both hands on the young girls shoulders, 'remember what i said i'd do if i caught you falling asleep in my class?'. Kaiyo knew the answer, but she wished she didn't. She nodded as she ran her hand through the back of her hair, 'erm...' stalling for time was not a strong point of the girl, 'You said i'd have to run laps, miss'. 'Correct' she shouted, 'but, while running your laps you will have to correctly answer every question i ask you, is that understood?'. Kaiyo stood still for a moment, still in shock, unsure why her teacher hated her. 'You have 5 minutes to meet me on the athletics field', with that her teacher vanished, showing off with a prefect Shumpo. Kaiyo sighed heavily and dragged herself to the athletics field.
Okay then, you'll continue running through-out this exercise and answer my questions immediately without stopping. Kaiyo set off at a fast pace, trying to prove to her evil teacher that she wouldn't be beaten so easily.
'What happens to a soul who is killed?'[/color, the woman had sat down on a chair at the side of the track, she had her legs crossed as she watched the dumbstruck face of her student. [color=blue]'Erm...they..um..' Kaiyo didn't have a clue, okay think, a human died goes to Soul Society so a soul died goes to.. 'Earth' she called triuphantly. The teacher didn't even smile, Kaiyo found it quite funny really, how she could smile when punishing the girl but she would smile when she got a question correct.
'how do souls enter Soul Society?' , finally a question Kai knew, 'Through a Soul burial', Kaiyo began to regret her choice to run quickly to prove a point to her teacher, she felt tricked. 'How many districts make up Rukongai?'. It was at this point Kaiyo remembered when tired her slef restraint became very low, 'Who cares' she panted, noticing the silence followed she changed her answer 'Erm i mean 230'. Kaiyo was very tired, but she was trying not show it so she ran with a smile on her face; a better choice than the pained expression she would usually have chosen. 'What are the three ways to become a captain of the gotei thirteen?'
'Three? you only told us two!' the girl argued. The teacher didn't seem bothered, she just repeated the question, 'What are the three ways to become a captain of the gotei thirteen?'. Kaiyo sighed, harder to do when very out of breath but she wanted her teacher to realise how annoying she was being, 'Well there's the captain test, theres recommendation and erm...The next answer would have to be an educated guess, Kaiyo chose the only logical answer she could think of, 'Trial by combat?' she finished. The questioning continued for another hour, or at least thats how long it felt to Kaiyo before she collapsed and woke up in the medcial room with a note in her hand.
Kaiyo Saiyouko, this is your last chance if you fall alseep in my lesson i will give you something to be tired about, you have some potential and if i see you wasting it in my class again you will definately regret it. Kaiyo puzzled over the letter for a while, leaning back onto her pillow to fall back to sleep she decided, it was athreat letter from her teacher, delightful.

The lessons Kaiyo had indoors, in classrooms were never hard, they were just horifically boring, so Kaiyo lost interest very quickly. However the worst part of the boring lessons, was the homework you got as well.
It was the end of the day; lessons had just finished and Kaiyo had found a nice big tree to lean against to do all of her homework, the sun was only just starting to set, so the the evening was quite mild. Sat with a large stack of homework on one side and on the other, some sweets from the real world, she had to trade a lot to get these sweets, but they tasted so good it didn't matter. The mass of the homework was on the 13 divisions of the Gotei 13, Kaiyo sighed and leaned back against the tree, wishing she just didn't have any homework.
'Okay, i'll start with the worksheets', Kaiyo leaned forward and tried to focus. What is the insignia for the 2nd Division?,'..erm.....' Kaiyo knew it was some sort of flower, but that wasn't much help with specifics. 'Ooh, the 2nd division insignia means seek nothing, so its a ......tulip!'. People were wandering around the fields, staring at the young girl who was talking to heself about her homework, Kaiyo smiled and lowered her head.
The second division captain also lead the...Squad, but Kaiyo was fairly certain that wasn't the answer her teacher was hoping for. Kaiyo thought for a while, chewing her pencil for the time being. Finally she remembered her last lesson, midst ramblings of her teacher had explained the second squad was very closely linked to the 'Onmitsukidō.'. Kaiyo sighed as big as she possibly could, 'I hate homework' she moaned. 'Homework is designed to refresh your knowledge of a lesson in an attempt to help you learn it'. Kaiyo practically jumped out of her skin, in reality she jumped forward to her feet, arms flailling and sheets flying. She turned to her teacher after regaining her composure, 'I know but its so boring'. The teacher was smiling, and Kaiyo was sure it was because she had made her jump, she giggled to herself and strolled off.
Kaiyo returned to her work, not before having another one of her real world sweets, she threw it up into ther air and catched it in her mouth, munching away happily she continued on. What does the insignia of the 9th squad mean?, this question was easy, because it had one of the coolest meanings, Oblivion she scribbled down. What is the insignia of the 8th division and what does it mean?. It was official, this was the most boring homework in the world. Kaiyo dropped her head lower then began writing her anser, 'Bird of paradise flower, and it means Everything is Obtained'. The sheet continued for both sides of the paper, each question as boring as the last.
After three hours of work, the sun was barely visible and Kaiyo couldn't even read the questions any more, she had done most of the work she was set, just not the essay; bu that she could do in the morning.
Kaiyo awoke early to write a 6 page essay on the rules and regulations of Soul Society, she painstakingly finished right before her lesson. Kaiyo walked in, feeling quite proud she had finished all the work she was given, and it was a lot of work. The teacher entered the room and made an announcement, 'Well class i won't be collecting in your homework today' The girls jaw could have dropped onto the floor, but the teacher continued, 'I spoke to Kaiyo Saiyouko yesterday and i decided to instead give you more quizes in your lesson and less homework.
Never one to make a scene, Kaiyo picked up her SIX PAGE essay and walked to the front of the class, when she got there she pushed it onto the teachers desk,and stared into her eyes for a moment, 'I hope your happy, now i'm going to go sleep and i'll see you after the lesson' and with that Kaiyo turned and left the classroom; she went back to bed for an hour, realising she would really need the extra rest.
