A Fateful Encounter (NerraKyro) (End)

Location: Karakura Town, Time: Late Summer

Walking through the town a lone hollow carrying a Charry Blossom walked to the Cemitary. The day was quiet. The way it seemed the season should havebeen Fall. She looked up and saw dark grey clouds coming in.It looks like rain is on the way. She thought. Then she was at the gates of the Cemitary. With a sad sigh she entered the Grave Site. Looking around she found what she was looking for. Her Fathers grave.

It had been a long time since she came here. When she was alive she would come here when she was sad. Ren looked at the grave stone.
"Hey Dad. It's been a long time. I'm sorry for the way I look, but I'm still me." Slowly she place the flower on the stone. Her yellow-blue eyes were shining with tears. Closing them tight she said, "I miss you Dad, I miss you alot. But I know you are somewhere watching over me." Suddenly the was the snap of a twig. Ren looked behind her to see what it was.

Kyro's eyes widened as his foot broke the twig, drawing the Hollow's attention to him. He'd sensed it now that far away, and had come immediately, but definitely hadn't been expected this, to see the Hollow at a grave, so obviously visiting a lost one. When the Hollow saw him, he sheathed his Zanpakutou, trying not to give the Hollow a reason to attack him. Shinigami had no memories of their past life, and so he had no idea what kind of family he had once been a part of. However, this Hollow apparently did, and she didn't seem like she wanted to hurt anyone, that was for sure. He smiled, glad for that little bit of information.

As this was a graveyard, there were four or five spirits wandering around in the very close vicinity, so if the Hollow's goal had been to devour souls, it would have already done so. "Listen, I don't want a fight. I felt your Reiatsu here and came, thinking you were attempting to devour the souls here. But I watched you speaking to the grave, and thought it curious, and so I have no intention of attacking you, as long as you stay peaceful," he said, his voice calm, but still tight, his wariness quite obvious. As long as the Hollow didn't make any bad moves, he wouldn't attack. However, if it did, he wouldn't hesitate to strike it down, or, depending on how powerful this Hollow was, attempt to. He moved over to stand next to the Hollow.

"Who are you visiting, then? You may as well tell me, as I won't be leaving your side until you leave such a highly-populated area," he said, his voice still sharp, although his tone suggested just a tinge of sorrow as well. He truly wished he knew who his family had been. If he did, he'd at least have a chance of finding them one day, in the Seireitei. He knew Sukeno and Mia would wonder what was taking him so long with the Hollow if he stayed too long, but at the moment he was just to curious to force the Hollow to leave. So he waited for it to speak, waited for hear just why it was that the Hollow was visiting this grave. His sorrow mounted, but he forced it down, and sighed.

Ren listened to the Shinigami. When he finished talking she looked back at the grave. Struggling to see the words that had been worn away. "He was my father. He died a long time ago." She got up and faced the Shinigami. He had his Zanpaku-to in its sheath. He was trying not to threaten her. "Besides comeing here to watch me why is it that you are here?" she asked in a cold voice. Her eyes locked with his. Something seemed familiar about him to her.

"What is your name, Shinigami?" she asked. She felt the wind blow through the trees strong enough to blow a few leaves off. In the distance there was a rumble of thunder. Ren did not want to take her eyes off of the Shinigami. She stared at him with her yellow-blue eyes.

Kyro eyed the Hollow oddly now, not sure where this was going. However, since he didn't believe that this Hollow would be any trouble, he thought he should just go ahead and give his name. "My name is Kyro Nerra, member of the 5th Division. Why do you want to know?" he replied, ending with his own question. As he spoke, he walked over to a nearby overhanging tree and sat, leaning back against it, wanting to rest for a moment. For some reason, his head had suddenly starting throbbing, and his mind seemed to be searching for a memory that just wasn't there anymore. He shook his head, trying to get rid of the odd pain, but just couldn't.

Finally, he just stood again and walked back over to stand next to the Hollow, muttering under his breath. This had never happened before. "Sorry, but, uh, I suddenly got the strangest migraine. I can't explain it. It just... hurts. So what did you want my name for?" he explained, and then ending by pressing the point on the name. He just couldn't shake the feeling that he had forgotten something utterly important. He clutched his head, the migraine only becoming worse when he bent down to try and examine the grave. Growling in frustration, he stood back up tried to simply force out the migraine through sheer will as he waited for the Hollow to speak once again.

Ren watched as..Kyro, was it; as he took hold of his head as if he was in pain. "Are you alright?" she asked. He asked her why she wanted to know his name. She thought for a moment and could not know why she wanted to know. "I don't know. You seem familiar to me for some reason. Maybe you chased me off before or it could be your Aura that is familiare. My name is Ren by the way. Ren Zugaikotsu." Just then it felt like something in her chest and head hurt. She closed her eyes in pain.

Flashback

Ren was running around in a park as a small child of three to four years of age. She turned around to see a boy at the age of six or seven yaers old. She laughed at the boy. "You can't catch me Nii-san!" He looked like the Shinigami that she was talking to right now.

End Flashback

Who was that boy? she asked herself. When she opened her eyes again she saw the little boy in the Shinigami. With wide eyes she took a step back."Who are you?"

Kyro clutched his head and grimaced, a terrible lance of pain shooting through him. The Hollow's words seemed to blur together as his mind tried to do something that just could not be done; call up a memory from his life before he had died and come to Soul Society. His life on Earth. He let out a shout and fell to one knee as an image began to come up, faint, but still there, in his mind. He shut his eyes, trying to force out the pain, but couldn't. Finally, the image seemed to become clear, and it was of himself, much, much younger, in a park of sorts, chasing a girl who appeared to look much like him. They couldn't have been more than two or three years apart in age. And Kyro realized that the boy was himself.

However, what shocked him more was when he looked at the girl. She looked too much like him for it to be mere coincidence, and in his mind, he could just remember her voice. "You can't catch me Nii-san!" Those words repeated themselves over and over again in his mind, and the girl's voice sounded a lot like the Hollow right before him. Then the image was gone, and the pain in his head was gone. He looked at the Hollow with confusion, which quickly turned to a look of realization. This Hollow was... "Who are you?" she asked. Kyro simply couldn't speak, with this sudden memory dropped on him. He had a sister. And his sister was a Hollow. Kyro managed to say a single thing, and that was it.

"Nee-chan..." he whispered, addressing her. And then he fell to his knees in shock.

"Nee-chan." There was a clash of thunder and lightning. Rain started to fall. "What did you say?" Ren took a step closer to Kyro. She could hear nothing but what he said a second ago. "Nee-chan." it echoed in her head. What does this Shinigami mean? I can't be his sister. I'm a hollow. She continued to look at him with scared eyes. She could see that he saw the same thing that she did. Pain came to her again.
She screamed from the pain. She saw a house burning the same one that took her father from her. Ren could see her father saying something to a small girl and boy holding hands.

Flashback

Then she could herar it so clear,"Take your sister and get out of here!" Just then there was a hollow behind Ren and the boy. Their father pushed them out of the way. The childrens hands grew apart form each other. Young Ren screamed, "Noooo!! Nii-san! Dad!" Then everything went black.

End Flashback

Ren opened her eyes again tears streaming down her hollow mask. She looked at Kyro with anger, "I don't have a brother anymore!" she turned and ran away leaving Kryo alone in the rain.

Ooc: Ren is just scared right now.
