Personality: Mathel is always calm and collected when it comes to most situations, though he becomes very uncomfortable when people ask about his personal life or family. His eyes are a very sensitive subject too often he becomes very quiet when they are commented on. He is very talkative to people he knows and trusts and is always flirting with ladies he doesn’t know. When in a fight his attitude becomes like that of a soldier, take out the target as quickly as possible before any civilians get hurt in the crossfire.

When it comes to his friends Mathel is very trusting and protective, though it takes a while before anyone he likes actually becomes a friend. Personally he holds no grudges against the shinigami, in fact, he respects most of the captains; though he will kill any of them that try to stop him when it comes to eliminating a hollow.

History/Background: Mathel doesn’t remember his childhood except for some pictures he found in his pocket when he woke up on the bank of a river 3 years ago. In fact, he only knew a handful of things about himself. So without his memories Mathel set out to find those like him, but it was a long and fruitless journey.

Settling down in a small town that is frequently plagued by hollows and other spiritual beings, Mathal sets up shop as a priest that specializes in the exorcism of malevolent spirits. Up until recently business had been good, then he started to notice shinigami running to and fro across his city. Thinking that it might mean that he would have to start competing against the shinigami for his living Mathel started to hunt a different quarry.

Managing to catch one of the shinigami Mathel closed in for the kill, but when he got close enough the shinigami said something that made his world spin. “You” the reaper had said with a look of horror on her face. The reaper had known him that means the soul society knew about his past and possibly why the memories were hidden from him.

Now Mathel has a new goal…take down whoever stands in his way to get back his memories…
