You know what that means. Us humans are gonna have to fend for ourselves (I.E. no shinigami to help us out). Bring it on. That also means that us humans are gonna have to team up and start protecting the city, despite our differences (quincy, superhumans, and bounts too)

I find it a tad annoying that you've allready determinated the outcome of the plot, it makes people just stop wanting to be on the loosing side, cause anyone hates to loose... also that you've determinated what was evil and good is not something that should be spoken of it should up too the character and person itself to decide...

Sorry if I too you seem like someone who just loves to argue, but I do actually make plots weekly for player to play and enjoy, and I know abit about players reactions to stuff and what not, and no one wnat their superly awesome character on the loosing side, cause he's just way to awesome to be there... I know you don't think that way of each character, but each person here, consider there main chacter to be super awesome... The outcome shouldn't be desided cause then the point of fighting back is pointless as you allready know you're going to loose/win... so your will to make awesome Rp and play for the sheer pleasure of it, disappears as it becomes more of an act, where you just have to improwise you towards the allready determinated end...

@ Ryouta: Best. Ever.

@ Shikuro: Yes you are right.

Perhaps an actual variable in this storyline should be inserted, and not have it be a scripted event, afterall why do you think noone watches wrestling.

I have no problem with the plot itself, but mearly that the ending is decided...

If you really want to remain on the side of the council of dictators then feel free. I'll undecide the end result, it's not like many of us will be here to see the end anyhow. This should be taking many a year. I'm just laying the foundation for a new faction here. Once this gets started, I'll be creating a new forum for rebellion members.

Why are you going to make a new forum for the rebellion memebvers? That does not make any sense to me really.
And making them out to just be evil dictators aint that fun a point either, very few people would want to fight under an evil faction just because they want to be evil, there should be something special to go out from, like maybe the central 46 is working towards a greater goal, but people disagree with the way they do stuff, this is nothing more than a kind of suggestion from my point of view.

Don't get me wrong, I like the plot, it seems interesting, but I just don't like the way of putting out one group to be the evil one.

There's also the problem about you deciding who's evil and what not, alike players have to be evil or good to be on that side, just tell what general happens on the oard, then instead of thinking "Should my character go evil or good" they'll start choosing a side durring what each character experience.

And why is there a need for a new forum? thats something I really don't get, there's no trouble with this, its a story line for this forum if the rebels really need a secret area or something alike that, there are Pm's and such, I highly doubt there's a need for a new forum...

And as Denno said, yes an evil guy to some might be good to others.

"there is no such thing as good, or evil. Only choices and consequences..."

That bing said, what about like spies and double agents? what is someone is forced to work for one side simply because of what they are? what if say, the central 46 make an offer to a superhuman promising power, wealth, etc.?? these are some of the first things i thought about when reading through this from a GM's mindset. Just a suggestion but i say place a new area here on this site, like as rebellion HQ or something along those line, maybe even a few threads about how the rebels got set up and whatnot...

I like the plot Very Happy
Kazu's idea of some rebels backstory and HQ sounds pretty solid as well ^^
As for the rest, i think people are going a bit OTT about having no choice, their character can pretty much do whatever, just make it happen Smile

No they can't weather you like it or not they can't... You've placed Squads in particular under priviliges that they haven't had a say in, one thing is to order a squad to do something another is to say the squad has too, and thats how I saw this being dealt with, and how can you just start a rebellion if no one is forced in under it, beleive it or not I've been working my ass of bringing together a solid team of Superhumans to pull something like that off... and now its just being dealt with just like that...

This seemes to taking a negative acceptance from the majority of the ones commenting so I wonder is this a one person plot making or have the staff been talking about it? Cuse as it seemes right now I've seen two mods disliking some of the ideas of it, is it really a good idea too just put up such a large plot scheme with mods who seem to have been unaware that this was comming.

Frankly you can go along with the plot as you wish to, I'll deal with it as it comes, though don't expect me to go my way in letting things happen liek you expect it too, I'll play my characters as they should be played, not over the way some plot tells me too... Sorry if this sounds negative aswell, but Frankly I ain't liking this plot developement so much, I had nothing against if players went there way at making a rebellion from scratch but now it seemes like you'll be able to sign in as a rebellion OOC, which I don't like...

OKAY...Talking with people has lead to this conclusion...It needs changing a bit Razz Below are the comments made...Reply to them as you wish. People aren't all going to love a storyline, but a majority would be nice Very Happy

So no definition of good or evil sides.

No pre-determined ending.

More character choice and a deeper plot.

Some way to slowly bring in the storyline, like un-rest growing through Soul Society and more
missions etc to counter that.

Actual missions of the rebels forming together. Establishing their base of opperations etc

Rumors starting, and then it will give people a chance to take a stance acordingly, like choosing to believe in the rumors, or maybe begin forcing it away by punishing people who spreads them.

Ok about the earthside stuff. Have the central 46 start trying to make deals with humans and bounts. And, attacking those who refuse, maybe not right away, but you get the idea. <-- something tp start showing the bad side to the central 46 that can help bring in the whole storyline.

You could even send our arrest warrants for some superhumans etc

As for the end result SS is the absolute power, without it evrything falls to the otherside so wether the rebellion wins or not SS remains.

Maybe even not make the superhumans be forced to join the rebelion, more make it so that they can decide to fight a common enemy, or maybe hate both the new factions equally much, as old grudges die hard.

As for the hollows, they could view all this as simply an opportunity, with the balance shifting more towards them and allowing their strength to grow and exploit the weaknesses of their enemies.

Squad Alignments...Except maybe squads 1 & 2 (who'd probably take the most honor in their stand) and more likely 10 as well given their run off captain and what not, it should be up to individual squads to decide their alignment. Though initially most squads would follow orders its likely the time would come when they'd need to take a stance and choose what they want to do.

I would also like to point out the main reason I created James, was that he had the resources and ability to create a safe haven for the rogue shinigami as well as the experience in dealing with a revolt. So yeah my two cents are thrown use them as you will.

Wow, apparently a few people are thinking that all of a sudden this has magically happened. What I had posted is what I plan to see happen, it didn't happen over night... There is currently no rebellion (and by forum I meant new area, each of those areas on the site are called forums).

Superhumans are not being forced to join anything. The Soul Society would not recruit any non shinigami. The Squads can choose not to obey the orders they will be given but if they do so it will be seen as treason and some one's going to be targeted for the next assassination.

To answer your question about staff conferring. I received 3 admins' approval which is all I needed to get this put down on paper so to speak. I've discussed it with Sal and Kaiyo and many a member to see if they liked it.

This was not thought up to be some new plotline. It's not some arc from the anime.
It's a new change to the site, the soul society is not the same as it used to be. In essence, the rebellion will hold to the values that the old soul society used to be. Which is why I had hoped they'd win, so the old soul society could be returned once the wars were concluded.

Assuming we can all come to some agreement on this, I'll be posting threads about how all this slowly comes into effect. If we decide that some people would rather it remain the same old boring soul society and nothing new happen save for fighting slightly different looking hollows this time, then I will delete my posts and it'll have never of been thought up.

Though if I start a poll and you vote against this simply because you wanted to be the one to think of it then good luck getting the votes to make it happen once this has been retracted...

You should not take all this the wrong way Marly, some of us, me personally love the idea of changing it and making it more like a forum that is unlike the other, so it stands out like a whole other place, so the whole rebelion thing is great, what I am saying is just that I would like to come with a few changes, cause at first it looked like you were planning to change it according to you, but then again why make a comment booth then....
Anyways what I am trying to say is that the idea is good, I just believe people want a little input and opinion what is going to happen to the forum they sped allot of time on.
Knowing you had a little to say, even if it not much, really makes you feel better about being here.

and sorry but couldt you rephrase that poll Question I am having a bit trouble understanding the question O.o

The question is... Do you want me to change what are essentially the rules of the site, making this new idea law and making the old soul society a thing of the past.

OR

Leave it as it is, making it so the next thread you make pertains to fighting another hollow but in a different location on earth this time and the hollow can fly now, because the last four hundred couldn't...

(And a note about this new change, once the rebellion does start the war... The Central 46 will withdraw all restrictions and declare it a time of war in which all squads are free to use the senkaimon, experiment, etc...)

I vote yes change is needed for life...the day we stop changing is the day we die! I dont plan to die quietly either for all of you who vote no...I want to know a reason why?

As for the flying hollows...does that mean I get to try my recipe's for bbq hollow wings? But really I say this is exactly what we need...but what of the academy students...how will they view the war...doesn't squad 1 basically control the academy...just throwing the thought out there

Yes in the exception that you do it calmly and stuff like that... Keep in mind for some it might be alright that things change over daily basis and some is actually having a hard time getting in here more than once a week, so take it easy, it'll be a drag if someone gets let out cause they can't keep up.

And yeah listen to what people have to say and all, I know not all can be satishfied, but if not most are whats the point?

And Sorry, but the last plot changes announcements ETC. has changed by the time they got posted, so if it haven't happened before how should I know
