Can someone please move this to suggestions!? o.o I didn't see it in the list there x.x Very sorry, but I won't repost it again, to avoid spamming lol. This needs to get a move on to suggestions. Hopefully it'll be all cool like..I hope :b


I'm still pretty new here, but I understand the rules and what not. I've been wandering about the 60 points for the stats? I know it's simple and all, but why not take it a step further into Bleach? Take the Official databook stat system: http://www.narutobase.net/forums/soul-society-discussion/17739-bleach-official-databook-character-stats.html <---(Note: This is the best reference of the databook overall, not a link to another site. Ignore the site and look at the data there o.o) Why not give the players a number of points (over a period of time--I.E. as their Rp'ing gets better, as they train...etc..etc) And have them put their points into the 6 different Categories:

Offense

Defense

Agility

Kido

Intelligence

Physical Strength
------------------------

Example:

My characters will be primarily close range, with a little knowledge in kido (Lower level kido) I want strong swordsmanship and I don't really like shunpo or any of that fancy mess. This will be a Level 0 character as everyone started with. My starting points is 60 and below is how I would split them up to create a purely close range character. Very Happy When you get to higher levels it might be harder though o.o lol

Offense:15

Defense:15

Agility:6

Kido:4

Intelligence:10

Physical Strength:10

Instead of using the exact system of the databook, make it hellified easy. No one can go over 560 (Captain Commander Level) and your character MUST have a glaring weakness. Take for example, your character suffers heavy fatigue after long periods of fighting. <--(Lower overall strength) The stats could be disturbuted by the players and given based on training, character build..etc. The overall max of each stat would be 100 points, and not everyone would be the same. The rank will dictate abilities and powers, and the stats would be an easy way to laid out stats and abilities, and it would take the need off of guess what would happen. This has never been done in any other Bleach site o.o It's full of epic win and it's quite organized.

Okay So your thinking: Well Liquidus, that there is a purdy system, but I'm confused. There's only one extra Rank added ((Because I split the 560 points into 12 ranks, equaling 600, BUT you can't go that higher, no one is perfect, not even the Captain Commander...The SAME rules that were originally here apply to this entire list o.o

Now, Ceros and Kido will be reflected upon your rank... Say you have a 0
rank, a new academy student... You will have access to the first 10
kidos in any branch, Free; You have all 20 kido... But not any of the
higher level ones. Once Rank 1, you will have access to kidos 11-20 in
any branch, but you must first write an application to show us you
learning them. To gain a kido we will require an application with a word
count equal to (Level of kido x 10) 100...

This means Hado #11
Tsuzuri Raiden will require you to write a 210 word post entirely
describing Bakudo #11, back story and what your character's mother is
doing at the moment won't count in your app. You must have at least 5 of
the second tier of kido before moving to 21-30... The same applies
before moving onto a subsequent tier.

With this route. A veteran
captain (rank 9) can eventually use Black Coffin #90. Though in order to
use the #99 Seals you must be of rank 10 (or at least once was) such as
Tessai Tsukabishi who once was kido corps captain (Special veteran)...

Ranks
10 and 11 will be only reachable if the current seat holder for them
steps down. For example, if Kaito wants to step down from seat 11, he
will keep the ranks, though will no longer be captain commander IC...
Some one else can take his place with a rank 11... Now don't even think
that we will allow all of you to randomly swap seats and instantly
become captain commander for a day and godmod an 11 off
me.....................

Bankai and Shikai, in order to take
these(and all levels of them) You must write an application for them.
Obviously you must be of certain rank in order to do this... For the
most basic Shikai, you must be rank 3. For the next part, rank 4, the
last part is rank 5. Bankai starts at rank 6, then finishes at rank 7.
Though you must reach rank 8 before you are able to RP having "Mastered"
your Bankai.

Shunpo, or flash step as it is more commonly known
is restricted to the use for those ranked 2 and above. Upon this premise
ranked 3 have 'mastered' shunpo and obviously those with a higher rank
can move faster/further than those ranked lower.

The Stat system on that site was ripped from the wiki. So it would have been best to refer to one of the many Captains on the wikia so that you wouldn't post up the link to another forum. But that's not my concern, and I don't have one.

Now then, to the Stat system; I think you have this shit laid out perfectly. I was a little disappointed when I noticed that Lieutenants were close to Captain but I read it thoroughly and figured out it was actually n00by Captains who were adjascent to the lieutenants.

For the Espada (7-10) I suggest we Don't have them merely 40 points away from Numeros. . . . Since as Shawlong Quafong stated "The power of an Espada makes mine pale in comparison" Which should go on to mean that Espada shouldn't really be that close to being as weak as Numeros.

Erm i'm sorry to tell you this after you've done quite a lot of research work behind this etc, but this was in fact, practically the old stat system we just changed from.

.The following reasons are the basics behidn the big switch over- we found that the number of points being awarded was never enough to make tasks such as gaining higher ranks seem almost unreachable. People tend to lose interest with such a harsh system before they get anywhere so it's harder to keep activity up. The system also seemed too daunting for some people to even register on the site, when the task of gaining hundreds of points over a hobby will take you...well a long time.

Erm i'm not saying our new system is by any means perfect, but i think it can potentially work out better than this old system- but i'm an optimist Razz So while it is still in the early stages of the new system i would like to give it a fair run before booting it. I'm sorry :S

But after reading Ms.Admins post I now believe that this stat system would be best left out. Seeing how going over stats is incredibly annoying and bothersome. So I change my vote to Nay!

It is because I have the power of free will that I chose to change my vote.

I have no reason to kiss anyones ass and with that need I remind you flamming is against the rules? I have my reasons for changing my votes and while it may be true that if Ms.Admin didn't post with ehr reasons for why this shouldn't be used then my answer would remain the same and I would still be ignorant on most of the matter.

As for the stat system I think I'd prefer the current in as it base on quality and Rp skills where as the one above are base on

Which from my point of view mean that new people have no chance of becoming strong then the old member unless they bombard the site with pointless training post.

So based on that I vote to keep it the same. Not that i have much or any weight on the matter but it's easy for admins to decide if they know the public option

I just wanted to point out that this system HAS been used before and to be honest it doesn't work out well. It is highly easy to abuse by putting everything into the speed stat making your character so incredibly fast that no one can touch them or do anything to block their attacks. With this system it's possible for a mere 3rd seat to equal or even surpass a captain's speed and we all know that is simply unrealistic unless the 3rd seat was remaining in that position intentionally not wanting to progress in title. Good idea, but to be honest the current system seems like it will work just fine and prevents such state whoring from occurring.

I see yer guys point. I have been turned off by stats before even registering to an rp. I mean they had stats for way too much, kido, characters, zanpakuto. I can understand why you changed it up, simple = better. And as for giving out the points, I didn't mean only rp based, but activity based. Heck even throw some couple of points for people to login. (Although this would NEED someone to monitor it or make a system to distribute, which = more resources) Also the smaller scale system can be abused, just like anything else youse guys would use. Say I wanted the ungodly fast character (Although I'm not the kido/speed type) I could fairly split the points up that way. Oh well, look for more suggestions. o.o Sadly you've all fallen into the trap of liquidus and I will post ideas and other stuff until the site explodes; just ask the other sites I am part of O_O That's right they don't exist anymore! Very Happy
