Himawari stood in the centre of the Parade. There wasn’t a bad turn out so far; mostly students and Squad 11 members but spectators were spectators; and funds were funds. She could only hope that more would show up later; or she would have to go to her back up plan in order to raise more money for the Association. Well, she’d cross that bridge when she came to it. She sat down by the fighter’s tent, praying that the other members hadn’t forgotten.

Kaiyo wandered happily past the crowds, more people still arriving she grinned happily, she had seen loads of her squad members and a lot of academy students, the 11th squad captain had come along and Kaiyo was almost certain she had seen the crowrds split as another white Captains haori bellowed in the wind.

Strolling over to the competitors tent she waved happily to Himawarai, still a little embarrased about her previous run-in with alcohol she hoped she would forgive her, blushing slightly Kaiyo entered the fighters tent set up at the side of the fighting area, 'So erm about the other day' she smiled akwardly.

Momo wandred in lazily to the competitors tent, she nodded poiltely to Kaiyo and Himawari as she took her Zanpaktou off from her shoulder and placed it in the stands provided, Momo's fight wasn't until later, but she decided she'd scout out the competition first.

There was a fair few people here already, and there was still about ten minutes to go, Momo also expected many people would turn up later on, to get a better view of who was winning at the time. Cracking her knuckled calmy Momo leaned backwards on her chair, waiting for the fights to start.

Himawari smiled, genuinely happy to see Kaiyo, and quickly brushed her apology away, “Water under the bridge. But next time, we’re going with something a lot milder. Water maybe.” She looked around at the crowds, “Do you think they’re here to watch a fight, or to watch girls?”

She nodded at Momo in return, before looking back out at the crowds once more and spied the two billowing white hoari. What little colour she had in her face completely drained away, “There are captains here??”

Kaiyo giggled slightly, 'yeah milkshakes next time i think'. Smiling up at Himawari Kaiyo stared into her eyes as she tried to re-assure her, hitting her on the arm slightly, 'It'll be fine, besides, maybe if you do well, you'll get a promotion' at this thought Kaiyo's face dropped slightly as she realised why her own Captain was here, to see if his Lieutenant was strong enough.

peering our from the competitors tent Kaiyo nodded slightly, they had quite an audience, with only 5 imutes until the offical start Kaiyo tapped the hilt of her Zanpaktou in anticaption.

The designated 4th squad members for the tournament arrived sheepishly through the tent, setting up various painkillers and bandage around a table in the corner, they were obviously well prepapred. Kaiyo glanced up at Himawari and rummaged around in her pocket, pulling out two small erpiece microphones, just as their designster techy arrived, grabbing the earpieces out of the small girls hand and shoving it into both her's and Himawari's ears 'These are connected to the large speakers either side, you'll have about one minute to open the event, then you run backl here get your swords and start the fight' Kaiyo nodded, adjusting the earpiece and the microphone that lay in front of her mouth, 'One of the perks about being Chair and Vice Chair, i'll follow your lead' she grinned.

A large buzzer sounded as Kaiyo pushed Himawari out the tent slightly, following with alarge grin on her face, upon entering the large arena the crowd roared and cheered; Kaiyo didn't think there was this many from the tent, walking to the middle of the arena she turned to Himawari, waiting for her queue.

Ryouta is sitting in the crowd, drinking a little sake and also holding a foam finger that says, "Himawari is #1" on it.

Himawari could not help but glare at Kaiyo as she shoved her out of the tent entrance. As if speaking in front of an overly large crowd didn’t make her quake, now she had to do it in front of captains as well. She swallowed hard, trying to unfocus her eyes so that the great crowd before her blended together into one great mass, instead of individual faces. She looked upwards, her smile now upon her face.

“Welcome everyone!” she exclaimed, waving at the stands. The crowd roared back in appreciation and Himawari couldn’t help but feel a surge of happiness, “Welcome to the very first tournament of the Shinigami Women’s Association. We’re all so thrilled to see so many people out here to support us. We’ve got some spectacular fights going on today and we hope you’ll stick around to see them all.” She turned to Kaiyo, waiting for her to speak as well.

Jin walked into the arena, the flyer's had been handed round the squad barracks and he decided it had been far too long since he'd seen Miss kaiyo and Miss momo, as he walked in slowly stepping through the crowd slouched with his hands in his pockets he saw himawari opening the event. He hadn't expected to see her here that should have really read the details on the flyer, he smiled at the prospect of seeing so many familiar faces in one place.

The bustle of so many people was a little unnerving to him, he wasn't all that used too being in such a crowded environment and it never seemed to become eisier, but it was worth it too see his friends.

as he got into the stands he took his seat listening as Himawari made her speech with an unfoulable confidence he'd come to know and love, sitting in anticipation to see these cute girls in combat.

Kaiyo giggled slightly as the host inside Himawari exploded out of her in a pleasant manner, looking to the Audience Kaiyo smiled,
'Donations will go to the Shinigami Women's Asccoication, and for saftey reasons we don't want anyone crossing the barrier put in place' Kaiyo paused to let her last information sink in, her voice echoing in the speakers beside her she continued, 'Alrighty, so our first fight will be between myself and Himawari, we hope you all enjoy the fight and may the best woman win!', the crowd exploded in a symphony of cheers and whistles. Kaiyo winked slightly to Himawari as she strolled back to the tent; leaving the roaring crowd behind her.

Himawari could not help but wink back as she followed Kaiyo back to the tent, removing her earpiece and collecting Hagane no Tsubasa. She slung her blade across her back, before turning back to Kaiyo, “Ok. Let’s get this party started!”

She dashed back out again, out into the bright sunshine and to the sound of the crowd. She took up her position on the field, and turned to face Kaiyo. Himawari couldn’t help but feel the excitement buzz through her. She’d never fought a Lieutenant level opponent before, and the prospect to see what one could do, even in a practice fight, was something Himawari had been waiting for.

Kaiyo nodded as she threw the squad 12 member her 'delicate earpiece' and grabbed Tenrai Zenpyou, following Himawari back onto the arena calling, 'good luck' after her. Kaiyo smiled as she slowly unsheathed her Zanptkou, waiting for their referee to start the battle.

Kaiyo had always been taught the correct stance for combat in the academy, but after a bit of time fighting she had adapted her own, it had the same strengths, only looked different and played more to the girls strengths, it allowed her to be quicker off the mark and focus on sword skill. Gripping the handle of her blade Kaiyo watched as the ribbons attactched to her hilt danced slightly in the wind, she stared into Himawari's eyes and smiled widely, she was looking forward to this.

the referree walked purposefully onto the arena, calling out to the crowd something irrelevant, Kaiyo wasn't focusing on the words she was focusing on the 'go!'. Wasting no time kaiyo called, 'Light the sky Tenrai Zenpyou!', her blade ridge glowing a bright electric yellow as Kaiyo felt the prickle of energy run across her skin, releasing her spiritual energy Kaiyo leapt forwards to attack.

Flash stepping all the way to her opponent she appeared straight in fron of her and began with a kick aimed at the womans stomach, followed by various deadly slashes to her stomach; still not releasing her barrage of attacks the small girl felt her spiritual energy flow at her feet, appearing behind Himawari Kaiyo swung her zanpaktou across her shoulder. Not wanting to leave herself in such a weak position Kaiyo leapt backwards, preparing herself.

Holy sh-! Himawari exclaimed as the light of Kaiyo’s shikai engulfed the arena. She quickly grasped her own, “Fly Hagane no Tsubasa!!” The Zanpakutō in her hand vanished, reforming as the gauntlets upon her arms. She barely managed to block the attacks to her stomach, the steel protectors on the gauntlets straining under the barrage of her attacks. As Kaiyo leapt away, now behind her, Himawari flash-stepped forward, urgent to get away from Kaiyo’s brutal assault.

She’d finally realised why Kaiyo had been made lieutenant of Squad 11: the girl could be truly brutal in the sword fight. Himawari turned to face her; ok, she knew the Association needed the money, but this girl was scary! It was not humanly possible for someone to go that quickly from cute and sweet to a true demon on the battlefield.

She was going to have to move quickly. Himawari flash-stepped forward, aiming a bluff punch straight for Kaiyo-Chan’s face, before dropping down, to kick her feet out from under her. She flashed away once more, raising her palms to her opponent, “Bakudou #4 Crawling rope!”

Kaiyo had not planned on under-estimating Himawari, and from what she'd heard she could be quite brutal in combat. Blocking all of Kaiyo's attacks she nodded, fairly sure with what level her opponent was fighting at, Kaiyo also knew Himawari preferred to use sword skill and hand-to-hand combat that Kidou, which she counted as a great relief.

Himawari flash stepped in front of Kaiyo, aiming a weak attack to her face then trying to drop the girl to the ground, her Zanpaktou itself was a problem, it increased her sword skill dramtically by combining Himawari's best aspects of comabt, mentally cursing Tenrai Zenpyou for not being so nice Kaiyo moved her head sideways to dodge the first attack, the kick had been a good idea, and had definately caught the girl off guard, losing her feet Kaiyo only just managed to save her balance by landing on one hand, her legs held in the air and spinning back to her feet, landing just in time to be greeted with a kidou attack.

kaiyo frowned slighty as the rope shot towrds her; dammit, just because she's not good at Kidou doesn't mean she won't use it, especially if she knows your bad at it as well!Kaiyo argued with herself. The blue rope entagled the small girl for a moment, Kaiyo keeping her stance she shut her eyes, she knew within the few second she had been caught in the rope Himawari would be able to land a hit, but Kaiyo knew she would sure as hell get her back for it.

Her eyes shut, Kaiyo decided to force her way out, from the centre of her body Kaiyo focused on pouring out her energy, even the reiatsu she had long since used from her bodies core, and flowing it around her body as fast as she could, Kaiyo's spiritual energy spiked as she tried to make her reiatsu sharper, the golden sparks began to engluf the blue ropes, and eventually cracking through the binding Kidou. Kaiyo scowled slightly as she promised herself that next time she wouldn't get caught up in binding spells.

Himawari leapt forward. She knew the Kidou wouldn’t hold for much longer than a few moments, simply due to Kaiyo’s superior spirit power. If she didn’t get a hit in now, it would be grow ever more unlikely that she would ever get one in. She’d only used the Kidou in the off chance that Kaiyo had heard Himawari’s lack of skill in that area and, while it had been successful, Himawari knew that the fact she’d caught her was just a fluke.

She dived straight in, catching Kaiyo-Chan in a few direct hits to the chest, but she immediately had to draw away once more, as Kaiyo’s raising reiatsu levels began to break away at the binding Kidou. Sweat was already beginning to form on Himawari’s forehead, something she was certain was not happening to her opponent. When I get out of this, Himawari thought to herself, I am diving straight into training.

Kaiyo winced as the gloves pummelled her internal organs, broken ribs she thought to herself, Kaiyo shrugged her shoulder slightly, trying to focus her body and mind, her usual happy smiley face changed to one void of emotion, Kaiyo watched Himawari back off for a second, tactice are a definate must have.

Nodding to herself slightly, Kaiyo placed one foot in front of the other, the crowd still cheering wildly, she was also fairly certain she had heard a unified .'Ouch!' as Kaiyo took the hits to her stomach. Watching Himawari closely Kaiyo, clenched her fists tightly on her zanpaktou, Tenrai Zenpyou too eager for a cut, Kaiyo blocked out the pain in her chest. Kaiyo thought for a moment before sticking her Zanpaktou into the ground in front of her; hoping her new plan would work, with her hand still on the handle Kaiyo said, 'Denkou Kabe', her voice a whisper as she disappeared to behind Himawari, at the same time her attack landed, glowing from the ground in front of Himawari, an electrical reiatsu filled wall shot up in front of the woman; boxing her in.

Kaiyo had lost her sword but still counted herself at an advantage, she had the split second of time in which Himawari realised she couldn't retreat bckwards, Kaiyo centered her reiatsu around her arms and leg. Her immedaite move from the shunpo was a roundhouse kick aimed at the womans head, followed by her own leg sweep and various jabs and punches to her stomach, Kaiyo considered aiming for her face, but decided she liked Himawari enough to not be so horrid in friendly combat. As the wall faded Kaiyo shunpo'ed back to her zanpaktou quickly, this time holding the sword in a reverse grip in her right hand only, ready to block.
