((Sorry I’ve been busy. Not much time to post much. Should improve now lol))

Himawari had heard the “ouch” from the crowd, and felt a little bad at harming her friend. Hoping the crowd wouldn’t think her malicious, as she sped off, extremely determined to keep Kaiyo at the greatest distance possible. Of course, this brought Himawari no advantage either. Just like Kaiyo, Himawari took great pride in her close combat techniques, preferring them greatly over the longer range of Kidou. She stopped for a moment, glad to have some distance between them both that would allow her some time to think of a strategy. Sure, this was only a practice match, but that didn’t mean Himawari was just going to lay down simply because she was struggling. She would never be able to show her face in the Squad 11 barracks again and that was a prospect Himawari was just not willing to face.

Kaiyo suddenly disappeared from Himawari’s line of sight and a sudden feel of threat appeared in her chest. Her opponent’s Zanpakutō stood still in the ground before her. How odd, Himawari thought, why would she- “Ah!” The electrical reiatsu swarmed around her, completely cutting her off from any kind of escape. The sudden appearance of a reiatsu behind her immediately caused Himawari to spin around, just in time to prevent Kaiyo landing a kick to her head. But she’d missed the kick to the legs, and was quickly on her back, taking many blows to the chest and stomach. She felt something tense within, and wondered if any of her inner organs had been damaged. That thought was just going to have to wait, as Kaiyo sped away once more. Himawari leapt to her feet, her hand immediately going to her lower torso. The area was extremely tender, but Himawari was no real judge of wounds, and so would just have to hope for the best.

She raised her arms, “Tertiary Feathers!” The two familiar curved blades shot out of her gauntlets, and Himawari flash-stepped away, reappearing this time less than a few feet in front of Kaiyo. She swung downwards with her left one, hoping to draw away Kaiyo’s Zanpakutō, knowing there would be an opening left for Himawari’s right one. She sung her right one down at the opportune moment, straight towards Kaiyo’s knee. If she could wound one of Kaiyo’s legs, then hopefully her top speed would decrease, giving Himawari more time to pick up her defence.

Kaiyo watched as two blades shot from her opponents gauntelts, her face dropping slightly Kaiyo was starting to get annoyed, she had misjudged just her persistent Himawari was going to be. Two blades, two attacks, you always want one to hit, usually the second. Kaiyo sighed a small amount as she could almost hear the tense atmosphere the audience were feeling; wondering who would win.

Kaiyo decided to follow how she was expected to, blocking the first attack she pushed her Zanpaktou upwards against the first blade, Kaiyo knew the 4th squad Captain wouldn't be too pleased with her new move, but Kaiyo felt it a necessary sacrfice, letting the second blade swipe along the blonde girls knee, Kaiyo disregarded the pain for counter attack. Pointing her Zanaptkou quickly out in front of her Kaiyo yelled, 'Raikou Mato!', only a few inches away from Himawari, an electric bolt of energy shot from the blade edge of the girls Zanpaktou.

Kaiyo didn't wait there, focusing her reiatsu along her blade she lunged it forwards to Himawari's shoulder; hoping one of her attacks would hit.

In truth, she’d expected as much. Kaiyo was a formidable opponent and as Himawari’s lieutenant, nothing less could truly be expected from her. The electrical current shot straight through the steel of Himawari’s Zanpakutō. Why did almost all the people she sparred with have electrical Zanpakutō? Himawari could not help but think she was attracting them like moths to a flame. The shock of the attack threw Himawari backwards, her arm burning with the pain. She pushed herself back off further when she saw the blade of Kaiyo-Chan’s Zanpakutō coming straight for her, leaping backwards out of its range.

Himawari quickly dashed away, her Shunpo carrying her to the absolute furthest part of the arena. She’d known her Tertiary Feathers would simply not be enough to make this a worthwhile fight, at least not for Kaiyo, and in truth Himawari wanted to show everyone there that she could go toe-to-toe with a lieutenant. She knew the captains in the audience were still watching, though frankly Himawari wasn’t really thinking about a promotion or anything along those lines. She just wanted to enjoy the fight.

She raised her arms once more, focusing more energy down into her Zanpakutō, “Secondary Feathers!” A wave of discomfort washed over Himawari as she felt her energy drain slightly. Hagane had not been kidding when she told her not to jump straight into Secondary Feathers. Himawari was already feeling slightly dizzy from this summoning: a full on one would have probably sent her sprawling on the floor, gasping for air. But as she looked down at her arms, she smiled at the change to Hagane. The blades were twice as long now, equal to the length of her whole arm. This was even better than Tertiary Feathers; her range was dramatically increased due to the longer blades, which allowed Himawari to keep her body much further from her opponents, increasing her ability to dodge attacks.

Himawari raced towards Kaiyo-Chan, blades raised. Her Shunpo carried her away, causing her to disappear from Kaiyo’s line of vision. She reappeared, ducking down beneath Kaiyo-Chan’s Zanpakutō. She kicked upwards to catch Kaiyo under the chin, knocking her upwards into the sky. She flash-stepped away once more, utilising Hohou to hold a position above Kaiyo’s rising body. She kicked her downwards once again, sending her shooting back towards the ground.

OOC: Kind of a reversal here, kaiyo none i'm afraid. Himawari +1 to fighting skill. Just a note to both of you watch you're spelling and gramar it's going a little hay wire in places.

Himawari's blades grew longer; Kaiyo watched in annoyance as Himawari had released a lot of energy, starting to crack slightly under the pressure. Kaiyo knew the fight was nearly over, she smiled at this thought and decided to try and enjoy the fight more.

Himawari flash stepped in and knocked Kaiyo into the sky, aiming a kick down onto her chest Kaiyo spun around and aimed an attack at Himawari's neck, her leg outstretched as she skidded backwards in the sky; quite happy to finish the fight up there. Kaiyo curled her stomach forward as her ribs were possibly crushing her organs. Staring up into Himawari's eyes; Kaiyo grinned, before vanishing in the sky.

Appearing behind the woman, Kaiyo swung her sword down across her body and back again, varying her attacks in length and aim to make them less predictable for her opponent to block or counter, not releasing her hurricane os slashes Kaiyo leapt into the air, spinning above the woman and landing on her other side, starting with a kick aimed at her knees and followed by another barrage of slices with her Zanpaktou. Kaiyo's knee was still bleeding, and had slowed her down a fair bit, trying not to lose eye contact with her enermy Kaiyo lunged herself backwards and tied her headband around her knee, in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

Momo watched the fight from the competitors tent, sighing slightly as both women had used a lot of their energy in just their first fight; however it seemed to make the crowd respond better, which cheers and woots heard throughout each hit and block the pair made to each other.

Momo leaned forward casually and took a sip of water, she wasn't particularly looking forward to her fight with either of the pair, but she knew the better the fights the better the donations and working by that Kaiyo and Himawari had put on quite a show so far.

Saroki rain in and took a seat at the competitors tent, she had been late, she grumbled to herself a bit. She had been sparring with a few friends and had forgot about the tournament, she watched the two shinigami battle, they wher incredible, she knew she couldn't match up to anyone of the two, she felt like a weakling. Her Zanpakuto still shieved.

She looked down to the ground, she was dissapointed, she had not achieved Shikai, and it seemed everyone else already did, she sat still, observing the battle, learning about each ones fighting style.

In the stands, Ryouta stood and waved his foam finger. "Go Himawari!!"

Himawari could feel the fight was nearly over. She had exhausted every current aspect of her Zanpakutō, and still her lieutenant would not yield. Not that Himawari had ever expected her to. Kaiyo was her superior and it was only natural that she would be able to best Himawari. But Himawari was determined to at least make her work for it.

As Kaiyo came at her again and again, Himawari was now struggling to keep up. Her reiatsu exhausted, she could only block a few strikes. But as she kicked her legs out from under her, and slashed at her, Himawari knew she wasn’t going to stand up for a while. As Kaiyo leapt back, the Squad 4 representatives dashed out onto the field. Bleeding much more heavily than she previously thought, they sat her up. She blinked up at Kaiyo on the other side of the field, “I guess this is me yielding.”

Kaiyo sheathed back her Zanpaktou as quickly as she could; panting heavily she still flash stepped down to Himawari, smiling happily she shook her hand, still very out of breath and cringing slightly in pain, 'Nice fight' she breathed slowly.

The crowd roared at the end of the fight, standing ovations given to the brave soldiers; the sun had turned up in it's brightest as wellm making the fighting condition even more volatile, but still Kaiyo smiled on her way back to the competitors tent, grinning happily at Saroki and Momo she grabbed a headset off the 12th division techy, not even bothering to leave the ten, 'Thanks folks, our next fight will be Momo vs Saroki!' even from the tent Kaiyo could hear the crowd roar, giggling slightly at Saorki and Momo she passed back the headset.

Hobbling over to the squad 4 corner of their tent, where they had already called in 5 more squad members to accomodate the tournament, bandages flying and hands glowing at her stomach Kaiyo made a mental note, that she really needed to train more; or suggest Himawari for a promotion.

Momo glared up at Kaiyo as she announced she was fighting next; the doubt that had settled nicely at the pit of her stomach had just leaped into her throat, i don't even know Shikai! she yelled to herself. All the while keeping her distanced look as she got up casually and grabbed her Zanpaktou from the rack, placing it carefully over her shoulder as she wandered over to Saroki, 'Looks like it's you and me next' she said cooly.

Slowly taking the first step outside the competitors tent Momo realised two things, number one, how large the crowd was, and number two, how boiling it was. Wandering over to the fighting arena Momo noticed the air was still thick with reiatsu; from the previous raging battle. Cracking her knuckles slight Momo stoo on her side of the arena, awaiting Saroki, and deciding it was far to hot to fight like this, taking off her Zanpaktou from her shoulder she placed it on the floor carefully, before tearing the sleeves off her unifrom, showing clearly her tatoo over her slightly pale skin Momo put her sword back over her shoulder and unsheathed it. Readying her stance she kept her face calm, as usual.

Saroki twitched a bit as she heared Kaiyo, she glanced at Momo for a second, and looked back at Kaiyo. She heared what Momo said, she didn't respond, She gulped a bit and slowly walked up to the fighting arena, She unshieved her Zanpakuto grasping the hilt with both of her hands holding it infront of herself, she was serious about any type of fighting, even a spar, she widened her legs out, ready to attack, block, or dode, her eyes full of determination, she looked at Momo at the other side of the battle arena

She stayed completely still in that stance, she felt the air still filled with reiatsu that was left from Kaiyos and Himawairs battle, she let out a bit of reiatsu herself. She took in deep breaths, awaiting for the signal to start the fight.

Momo watched Saroki, she seemed like a formidabble opponent, at least roughly on the same level as her, Momo stared deeply into her eyes, focusing on the battle as the referree strolled onto the arena with importance, running through the rules once more he finished with the magic words, 'Go!'.

Momo started off with what she was good at, her palm flat in front of her body she aimed for Saroki, 'Hado 4, Pale lightning' she called, her voice monotonous and her eyes cold she watched as the lightning erupted from her palm and ricoshed towards her enemy.

Momo had never really spoken to Saroki, so she had little knowledge of her fighting skill or weaknesses, she decided she'd have to pay extra attanetion to the actions of her opponent, so far she just knew that Saroki was not going to fight easily and she would take her attacks seriously; now Momo needed to know what she was good and bad at, Kidou was a good place to start.

As soon as the referree said 'Go!' Saroki waited for Momos attack, it seemed she was useing Kidou, Saroki was never very good at useing the demon arts, the speed at which the lighting traveled was incredible, she quickly jumped to the left, though she could not completely dodge the attack, the lightning cut her leg, blood poured onto the floor of the arena.

Now to attack with something she was good at. She bursted forward, her speed blinding, she was almost a blur as she ran, she held her Zanpakuto to her side as she was now in range to attack Momo, useing her speed as a extra force for her attack she attempted to swipe her Zanpakuto into Momo's torso, though Momo would have a rather large amount of time to block the attack, the wound from the kidou started takeing affect, her leg shook a bit as she began to lose a bit of balance.
