The training grounds are composed of several areas that are perhaps 2 square miles each: there is an open field, a forest, a beach, a desert, a tundra, an arctic environment; even a replica of a town in the human world.

Kuro walked up to the training grounds at sat down at the entrance. He sat and waited for Ryouta. "I hope he can make me a lot better." Kuro said to himself quietly.

Ryouta arrived via flash step and appeared beside Kuro. "Crowe-san, I'm glad to see ya found the place. Welcome! Anyway, I think we should practice on the open field- less room for accidents."

He led Crowe to the open field area of the training grounds. "So, tell me how far your kido trainin' has progressed. I don't wanna use too strong a kido on ya!"

Kuro looked down, "I think I am decent, though I want to start from scratch.... I want to master the basics under you so I can get better at the big stuff. I have a perfect understanding of Crimson Strike, Ambush Flare, and Oil Slick... But I would like to practice more... basics... then work my way up with you." Kuro looked at him seriously, "Would that be a problem. I can attempt to use White Crawl... and spells around that strength... But... They aren't exactly that doable..."

"That's perfectly all right- ya're better than most Academy students around your level anyway," Ryouta replied. "Anyway, I was plannin' on two different types of trainin' with ya. There's knowin' how to do spells, and then knowin' how to use 'em effectively in battle situations. So we'll start wit' the first part then."

Ryouta pointed a finger at Crowe. "Basics then. Hado no Ni: Reel! Hado no San: Crimson Strike!" Ryouta used the basic strategy of pulling Crowe in closer and in doing so shortening the length of time he would have to dodge the burst of red reiatsu that shot from Ryouta's finger directly at Crowe. It resembled a Bala, though it was probably weaker and slower.

(Kidou)


Kuro tilted his head as he flew towards the blast. He raised his hand, pointing his finger at the blast. He calmly spoke, "Way of Destruction #1 Thrust.." The small kidou blast redirected towards Ryouta. Kuro then moved his hand forward towards Ryouta. "Way of Destruction #2 Reel..." Kuro yanked his hand back and Ryouta began to move towards the kidou blast. Kuro slammed his zanpaktou into the ground causing himself to stop. "This is fun... Like a game of catch."

(ooc: I know it will be little points per post, though hopefully it will last a while...So It will make up for it lol)

"Bakudo no Hachi: Seki." said Ryouta. A small shield of reiatsu appeared over his left arm- he used it to easily deflect his own energy blast. "Not bad- ya show the ability to think on your feet and use kido effectively. Hmm...what ta do next? Somethin' bigger, I think. Hado no Nijuyo: Water Slicing Blade." The water that shot forth from the ground did not resemble a blade at all- Ryouta obviously had other intentions. The water thoroughly soaked the ground that Crowe was standing on.

"Hado no Juichi: Tsuzuri Raiden." Ryouta sent an electric current through the water, thus creating an attack with a wide radius of efficacy. He wondered how Crowe would respond. Hopefully he would be able to dodge it, or perhaps even use kido in an original way to nullify the attack. Regardless of either of those possible options, Ryouta also hoped that he would try to counterattack.

(Kidou)

Kuro looked down as the electricity shot across the water. "Way of binding #7 Steadfast..." Energy surrounded only Kuro's legs. Blocking the electricity that sizzled and jittered around his feet. Kuro pulled out his zanpaktou. "This is my unique combination... I hope you enjoy it..." Kuro touched the other end of his zanpaktou, "Way of Binding #12 Ambush Flare.." Kuro sent more energy than usual into the technique, so instead of a thread of kido it was as thick as a rope. Kuro spun it around for a moment allowing the rope of kidou to extend. Kuro grabbed the hilt of the sword. He waved his hand over the blade. "Way of binding #14 Oil Slick." Some oil trickled on the tip of the blade. Kuro flicked the free hand once more and a smaller blast of Crimson strike shot without saying anything. The blade was ablaze. Kuro began to swing it in the air faster and faster by the rope of kidou. He released part of the rope so the blade flew towards Ryouta at an amazing speed. "Way of Destruction #3 Crimson Strike." A larger than usual Crimson strike hit the end of the rope causing the whole rope to slowly sizzle to till the end of the rope. When it did hit, it caused a small explosion. The explosion caused the blade to move double what it was. Kuro then quickly raised hand in the direction of the blade. "Way of Destruction #1 Thrust!" The blade yet again doubled in speed. Within milliseconds it was about to hit Ryouta, like a flaming arrow from the heavens. Kuro began to breath heavily, taking a deep breath to slow his breathing.

"Bakudo no Sanjuku: Enkosen!" Ryouta raised both hands and a pure golden shield of reiatsu appeared in front of him- it took Crowe's blade full force. Ryouta slid backward several feet (which put some strain on his ankles), but he was for the most part unharmed.

"That was impressive, Crowe-san," Ryouta said. "But that seems to have taken a bit outta ya. Ya're gonna wanna do some spirit power trainin'. But since I wanna continue this, I'll speed your recovery on a bit." Ryouta stepped close to Crowe and placed a hand over him. "Bakudo no Nijuku: Royal Medicine." His hand glowed green. "Ya should feel better now. Anyway, let's continue."

Ryouta stepped back several feet and pulled out one of his Zanpakuto. "OK then. Bakudo no Yo: Hainawa!" A length of yellow energy rope shot from the point of Ryouta's blade. However, instead of targeting Crowe, it merely formed a circle around him so that both ends of the rope were with Ryouta. "As I've noticed, ya're familiar with the use of mixing Kido spells, which is always useful. I'm sure ya also know that this rope-" Ryouta yanked it to prove his point. "is made of my reiatsu, and thus, with enough control, they might as well be my fingertips. This allows me to do devious things like this. Hado no Jusan: Killer Bee!"

The rope around Crowe glowed yellow, and then pellets of reiatsu began flying at Crowe from each section of rope, leaving Crowe with but one option that Ryouta could think of; or at least, what he would do, which was, jump.

(Kidou)

Kuro looked nervous for a moment, then he called out "Way of Binding #7 Steadfast!" Energy covered his forearms and legs. He spun doing the best of his ability to block them all. He got hit only 6 times, so he felt pretty good about it. Kuro reached his arm out, doing the best of his ability to surround Ryouta with oil by casting the Way of binding #14 kidou. (Oil Slick technique..) Kuro shot out a Crimson Strike from his palm lighting the oil that surrounded Ryouta with fire. Kuro aimed at the sky. "May the tears of those killed, of those harmed by those of wickedness deliver their judgment upon those around. Way of Destruction#6 Rain of Pain!" Acid rained from the sky over where they were training. Everything was getting rained on except for the 1 foot radius around Kuro.

"Bakudo no Sanjugo: Kyomon." Ryouta's Mirror Door spell surrounded him completely and protected him from that which rained down upon him. "It's hot," he commented on the flames around him. "Hado no Sanjuroku: Hail Storm." A blue circle formed in front of him, and sleet began to pour forth from it. Ryouta used this technique to put out the flames.

"My my, ya're a tricky one..." commented Ryouta. "Well, what should I try next? Hmm...nothing too tough. Hado no Hachi: Blade of Flames." A fiery reiatsu appeared around his right arm. Ryouta dispelled his Mirror Door with a wave of his hand, and then instantly flash stepped in front of Crowe. He swung vertically; the blow was not intended to maim or kill, merely to singe the side of Crowe's face to show him the value of learning other ways of fighting as well.

(Kidou)

Kuro looked up as the blade of flames swung down at him. He raised his hand to catch it. "Way of binding #2 Block!" Aura covered his hands as he caught the swinging down hand. Stopping the blade from reaching his face. Kuro raised his other hand singing it as a punch into Ryouta's stomach. "May the black sounds of those who have felt death emit and destroy! Way of destruction #7 Black Thunder!!!" The black wave of reiastu burst from Kuro's fist as he was swinging it into Ryouta's stomach. Kuro grinned, "Thank you for the compliment... Hopefully one day I will be on the same level as you..."

"Bakudo no Nana: Steadfast!" Ryouta took the Black Thunder full-force; the Black Thunder had no effect. Ryouta twirled the Zanpakuto in his left hand. "I'm gonna show ya how to use your kido to augment your Zanpakuto, even when it's sealed. Now, I used to use Byakurai to do this, but now that I'm capable of better, I use Reishi Blade. Anyway, observe. Hado no Nijunana: Reishi Blade!" The Zanpakuto glowed blue. "Ya see? I'm keepin' the reiatsu in the blade- ya do the same usin' Byakurai. Now vibrate it at high frequency as ya would that Black Thunder spell, and ya've got somethin' pretty damn close to a Quincy Seele Schneider. Very useful for cutting tough things."

Ryouta dispelled the blade. "Ya seem to have this down, but I'd like to say that ingenuity and kido go hand in hand. For example, ya'd think that a Bakudo spell would not augment my Zanpakuto in any way. Observe. Bakudo no Yo: Hainawa!" Again, yellow rope shot from his Zanpakuto. "By concentratin' on the tip of the blade, I can keep the rope there and use it as a whip so I can be sure to eventually ensnare my opponent."

Ryouta stepped back several meters. "Ya don't have ta do the same- but I'd like to see some more innovation with your next couple of moves."

(Kidou)

Kuro nodded as he went to pick up his zanpaktou. He looked up at Ryouta as he thought on his next combination. He raised his hands, "Way of Binding 5 guard..." His hands began to glow, covered in a veil of protective reiastu. He then clasped his hands together, "Way of Destruction #11 Reading Lightning." Electricity crackled across the guards of kidou. Kuro pointed his hands at Ryouta. "Way of Destruction #13 Killer Bee!" Lightning blasts shot from his hands, though they weren't the size of bees. Due to the extra electricity that was on the palms, the blasts grew to the size of small birds. They soared towards Ryouta quickly.

"Bakudo no Nijunana: Heavy Shell Barrier!" A blue shell shaped structure erupted from the ground in front of him, and took the blasts quite well- it was pock-marked with small craters, sure, and also smoking, but Ryouta was unharmed. "Very good," he complimented Crowe from behind the barrier.

"Sometimes, however, ya may find yaself in a sticky situation," Ryouta said. He jumped high up into the air, sheathing his Zanpakuto as he did so. "Bakudo no Sanjuhachi: Spider's Web!" Spools of white thread shot from his fingertips and threatened to envelop Crowe in their sticky embrace. As Ryouta fell back down, he secured his ends of the threads to the shell barrier- if Crowe was caught, he'd be stuck fast.
