Kaiyo sighed with relief as Shikyo removed the Kidou net and sheathed back his Zanpaktou; she had been lucky, short of standing still in the net she had no clue of getting out of it, releasing her Kidou she strolled over to Shikyo, grinning wildly, 'Your really good' she smiled undoing her Kimono slowly, her white t-shirt underneath sccorched at the top, she indicated to Shikyo the red burn that was seering in pain still, along her shoulders, 'I told you i can't do Kidou' she giggled.

Tying back her Kimono Kaiyo decided it would be best for her to take a short trip over to squad 4, she put a cap back on her spiritual energy and shook hands with Shikyo, 'Anytime you want another round' she grinned still happy he had called an end to the first round. 'So i'm going over to squad 4 now, want to come or should i just bring you back some painkillers?' Kaiyo had an amzing ability to ask questions which could otherwise come across rude in the most sincere way, its one of the reasons she got on so well with people.

It was amazing that Kaiyou seemed to have a split personality. She was compassionate and soft-spoken, and it never seemed like she was in a bad mood; but in the midst of battle she was just as serious as she was deadly. Placing his hand on his chest where her lightning attack had landed, he could still feel the tender flesh beneath it and was grateful that the fight hadn't lasted much longer or the amount of blood lost could have been lethal. "I'll go with you." He answered. "I think I might need something stronger than painkillers," he joked. "You didn't have to be so rough." He stated half-smiling.

Kaiyo began walking before looking back with a cheesy grin on her face, 'You started it using Kidou, did you not see my shoulders' she nudged him slightly as they walked to the fourth squad.

Kaiyo made a mental note to give Shikyo a mission that had come in a few days ago, she was planning on sending two people but fter seeing him fight, she was fairly certain he could handle it himself. 'And about the painkillers, i think i might need something a bit stronger as well' she chuckled.

They reached the fourth Squad Headquarters and Kaiyo winked before entering, she was always getting lectured by the 4th Captain to be more careful in combat, and she always nodded politely and promised next time she would be, and yet here she was once more; Kaiyo had her shoulders bandaged up and some more bandage put over other cuts along with various pills that needed to be taken. Kaiyo waited outside the squad headquarters for Shikyo, she had asked specifically for a lollypop after her visit, and as usual the Captain had laughed at her and given her a red lollypop.

It was Shikyo's second time visiting the 4th Squad Headquarters and he was sure it wouldn't be his last. He always seemed to go a bit to far when it came to sparring, but it was always worth it because he could feel himself getting stronger. Using one of their simpler kidou, Shikyo's chest was healed and his side bandaged. Looking into a mirror as they bandaged his side he could see a bruise starting to form along his rib cage. Laughing to himself, he was amazed that Kaiyou hadn't broken any of his ribs with that kick but he wasn't about to question his good fortune. Exiting the headquarters he saw Kaiyou had gotten a lollipop, and said nothing except for shaking his head a little bit as he followed her back to the Squad 11 headquarters.

Kaiyo wandered back to the sparring arena; it was still in qite bad shape from the last time her and Shikyo sparred. Kaiyo had fully healed since then and had practically been itching for some action, and Shikyo was definately a more than worthy opponent for her.

The sun had faded slightly and it was a little cloudy, but the temperature was quite high and with no breeze it would make for harder sparring conditions. Kaiyo had sent Shikyo a hell butterfly in the morning asking for a spar, she didn't get a reply but she doubted he'd deny it.

So mid-morning the blonde Lieutenant stood on one side of the sparring arena; she already had her Zanpaktou unsheathed; her ribbons hanging still from the edge of her handle as she smiled in anticipation.

Kaiyo could feel a spiritual energy getting closer, she wasn't standing in her usal combat stance either; she stood with her sword in one hand as she stared happily up at the sky, despite the rather miserable weather Kaiyo knew it was going to be a good day.

It there was one thing Shikyo hated, it was when there was no sun but still the temperature was way to high. Perspiration had already started to form on his forehead and all he was just walking to the arena. Wiping the sweat from above his eyes he mumbled grumpily to himself as he cleaned his hands on the bottom of his cloak. Arriving at the arena he saw that Kaiyou had already unsheathed her Zanpakuto and as always had that deceptively innocent smile on her face. The last time the pair had sparred they left the area in shambles and it was apparent that no one had gotten around to cleaning up yet.

"Someone's a bit anxious eh." Shikyo commented, motioning toward Kaiyou's extended katana. "Well I won't keep you waiting any longer." With that Shikyo unsheathed his own Zanpakuto, the emerald staff eerily shining despite the absence of direct sunlight. Flash-stepping to in front of Kaiyou, he brought his staff in a swinging motion aimed for the side of her ribs. He would be surprised if the attack landed, but as always a good warm-up never hurt before the match got serious.

Kaiyo smiled up at Shikyo, 'Anxious? Coming from the guy already sweating' she giggled as she swung her sword down to block the attack made by the shining staff. Kaiyo had almost forgotten how nice the staff looked, she always thought it quite ironice how such a powerful weapon could look so nice.

Jumping into the air and landing a few metres behind Shikyo Kaiyo smiled, 'Ready?' in her usual manner she didn't wait for a reply instead she just released her Shikai and hoped the answer was yes, 'Light the sky Tenrai Zenpyou' . Her glowing blade lay neatly in the girls hands as Kaiyo readied herself for combat.

Standing still for a while Kaiyo's feet began to glow a goden yellow of her reiatsu, opening her eyes Kaiyo smiled. Flash stepping straight past Shikyo she swung her Zanapktou along his sholder as she went, skidding quickly along behind him she shunpo'ed again.

Try to travel even quicker Kaiyo blurred to in front ot Shikyo swinging her sword horizontally across his body.

"You're delusional if you think anything besides this horrible weather is making me sweat." He quipped back, turning his body as she leapt over him and wasted no time in activating her shikai. The yellow light the followed caused Shikyo to tilt his head as he closed his eyes, trying to avoid the brightness. As the light subsided, Shikyo turned just in time to see Kaiyou flash a smile before appearing at his side with her Zanpakuto outstretched. Forcing himself to the left in an attempt to dodge the attack he didn't move fast enough as the material of his cloak across his shoulder parted due to the quick strike. Spinning his staff around he leapt back as he released his own Zanpakuto, "Scatter the Sands Miku!" The emerald staff burst into sand to unveil the golden blade as he flipped it upside down so that the pointed end faced the ground as he blocked the swinging attack from Kaiyou's sword.

The sound of metal on metal was lost as the crashing energies of the two Zanpakuto collided, sending a wave of rippling wind around the pair. Running his blade along Kaiyou's as he pushed away from her, he flipped the blade to that he was holding it right side up again. "My turn." He stated. Building his reiatsu, golden energy encased his free hand as he shifted the sand above his head into a glass lance seconds before he flash-stepped into the air high above Kaiyou. Launching the attack and allowing gravity to increase its speed and impact power, Shikyo flash-stepped back to the arena, concentrating his reiatsu to his hands as he prepared for the next part of his attack.

Kaiyo couldn't help but giggle at Shikyo's responce, she liked sparring with im for a few reasons; he was a decent opponent and he made her laugh.

As Shikyo jumped into the air Kaiyo prepared to block the attack; when ha added a glass pole to the mix she was a little thrown and had to adjust her sword differently to block the attack, getting a small cut along her arm as she barely managed to move in time Kaiyo let out a small overly dramatic sigh.

'So how are you finding squad 11 so far?' she smiled politely as she leap up to Shikyo; her headband trailing behind her in the wind Kaiyo took one hand off her sword handle. Shikyo's reiatsu was getting larger, Kaiyo smiled and released her's at the same time. Spinning around Shikyo at the last moment Kaiyo aimed her sword for her opponents hip, aiming a violent punch at his stomach as she went.

Landing behind Shikyo again Kaiyo regained her usal grip and flowed an extra bit of her spiritual energy along her blade; ready for the attack.

Shikyo continued to stand still as Kaiyo approached him, knowing that he couldn't allow her actions to change his plans but he would have to postpone them for a bit. He knew he wouldn't be able to block the attack to his stomach but went through his plan anyway, allowing his reiatsu to flow through his hands as he announced the incantation, "Expel the weapons of war. Disarm my opponent! Way of Destruction # 5: Disarm!" The invisible pulse ejected from Shikyo's hand and toward Kaiyo's sword wielding arm in an attempt to cause her to lose her weapon, if only momentarily. Simultaneously however, he took the full force of her punch directly into his stomach, causing him to double over in pain as the breath was knocked out of him.

"I'm getting a kick out of it." Shikyo responded to her question, inhaling a large amount of air as he pushed the pain out of his mind and stood to his feet. Looking past her he saw that the glass pike still stood where it had landed in the ground and if he could only get her closer to it he could execute the second part of his plan. The kidou that disarmed her was merely a distraction as he launched his blade directly at her. Assuming that she dodged the attack his blade would continue through the air and land squarely in the center of the glass pike behind her.

Kaiyos Zanpaktou flew out of her hand with incredible speed as Shikyo curled fowrad with her attack. Kaiyo laughed once more at Shikyo's reply; dodgin sideways as her threw his sword at her. Her brain running at a mile a minute Kaiyo knew she had to get her Zanpaktou back before things got tricky; she turned around quickly and saw it at the other side of the arena; frowning slightly she headed towards it.

'Yeah i find it kind of fast paced and hard to keep up though' she called over her shoulder. Trying with all her might to move quickly Kaiyo forced her muscles to move quicker and stroner; throwing more of her reiatsu at her legs and feet as well Kaiyo's eyes burned with determination. She wasn't sure what but she kne Shikyo had somethigng planned; and she knew she would be able to handle it a lot better with her Zanpaktou.

Shikyo's plan had gone better than expected as his opponent's blade was sent to the other side of the arena, close enough to the glass pike that Shikyo would hopefully be able to pull off his attack the second Kaiyo got into range. "What are you trying to say?" Shikyo asked in response to her answer.

Knowing that she would turn to retrieve her weapon, Shikyo leapt into the air, channeling his reiatsu through his palms he started the incantation, "Oh the crescent moon of the lunar eclipse, where one of the purist of light and the shadows of darkness, show me your holy light. Way of Destruction #21: White Lunar Spear Shot!" The golden energy that encased his hands converged upon itself as it formed a sphere that floated high above him, a large energy created spear growing from its center and poised to be released at any moment.

Shikyo would wait until Kaiyo was closer to the glass pike and then utilizing the natural abilities granted him by his Zanpakuto in shikai form, would cause the glass to explode into a torrent of sand, hopefully obscuring Kaiyo's vision enough that the moon kidou would land its strike. After the first couple of missions Shikyo performed, and after getting in touch with his Zanpakuto spirit, Shikyo knew that if one didn't resolve to kill his enemy regardless of who it was, there was no hope of winning.

Kaiyo had her back to Shikyo as she got closer to her Zanpaktou but she knew she was in troulbe already; she could hear Shikyo calling some sort of encantation, she just didn't know which one.

Pausing before she reached her sword Kaiyo decided she's answer Shikyo while thinking of a new idea, 'Well i guess being Liuetenant i get to fight less and do more paperwork'. It was now now Kaiyo had her idea, she grinned up at Shikyo and flash stepped over to her Zanpaktou; ready for whatever her planned to throw at her.

Shikyo wasted no time in exerting his reiatsu as Kaiyo snatched her Zanpakuto, using his spiritual pressure to cause the glass pike to burst into thousands of pieces that quickly converted themselves to sand. The small particles of dirt expanded throughout the arena while simultaneously Shikyo launched the spirit spear from the hovering moon at Kaiyo's location. He was interested to see how she would react to such a situation. "More paperwork?" He repeated. "I guess that's why you get the big bucks."

Kaiyo smiled at the bigbucks comment turning to reply she was hit in the face with a hurricane of sand. Kaiyo knew something was going to happen and she always kept an attack for the 'just in case' scenario's which semmed so often to appear for her.

Kaiyo had vaguely seen the attack hovering over Shikyo's head so when the sand flew into her face she quickly put her hand on the handle of her Zanpaktou and guessed with her aim; she figured it would be more effective that nothing, 'Denkou Kabe'. The crashing sound of electrical energy could be seen through the sand, but Kaiyo's aim had been off slightly and although she had managed to block most of the attack she was shot in the stomach by the remaining force. Tumbling and rolling backwards along the floor Kaiyo smiled.

Bleeding, the blonde girl stood up and looked over to Shikyo, 'So i hear your going to be the 10th Lieutenant' she grinned. Kaiyo needed to level the playing field, and she had a few idea's of how to do this, but one she had never tried before seemed like the most logical choice; sort of.

Kaiyo looked once more over to Shikyo and flash stepped; getting half way to him she stepped through with her right arm and threw her Zanpaktou forwards; aimed straight to Shikyo. Flash stepping behidn him once more Kaiyo had arrived before her Zanpaktou, perfect, 'Raikou Mato' she called when her Zanpaktou was right in front of Shikyo. Kaiyo had never tried the attack without holding onto her sword before but it worked! An electrib bolt shot from the blade edge and rocketted straight towards Shikyo. Kaiyo flash stepped around Shikyo once more and caught her Zanpaktou, skidding along in front of her opponent with her eyes interlocked Kaiyo grinned; she thought it would be really cool if Shikyo got Lieutenant.
