Leden watched as Kuro Blocked his attacks . he was not suprised when his brute strength force him to slide back. Leden enjoyed the feeling of the sun on his Carmel skin. He took in a deep breath as Kuro prepared for his next attack

this kid seems to like flipping over me and attacking me from the back . he was head on with his changeling but chooses to fight me from behind ....were is his fighting spirit ...were is his heart

Leden did not need to watch Kuro because Kuro spirit energy gave him away like a big red target . Leden smiled Kuro was only a tab faster then him but his fighting skill was weak . Leden would have to applauded him on his use of the environment but he should have not busted up his spirit energy so much.

Leden turned around and flexes his left leg taking the blow from Kuro head on . He was clearly stronger and better built then Kuro. Kuro kick stun him but it did not cuse him much pain . he did not hesitate and quickly countered by stabbing the tip of his wooden sword down in to the cafe of Kuro out stretched leg. he put a good amount of strength behind it aiming to strike blow that would slow Kuro down and forces6him to fight him head on


this kid clearly is well rounded with his skills but being fast is not going to get him far in the 11th ....for his fighting style i would mark him as a 2nd squader ...he fights with his head and not with heart

Kuro felt that his attack had little effect on Leden. He barely managed to escape Leden's stab by parrying his desending sword with his own, offsetting the strike and making him miss by a centimeter.

I was a fool. My spirit power gave me the speed I needed, but he's good enough to trace me with it. He's built well, so if I don't attack vulnerable areas I'll never wear him down. The problem is that he's going for my legs now to try and take away my advantage.

Kuro didn't see any reasonable way out of this. Leden obviously had more battle experience than him and there was no getting around that. His body was more buffed and gave a thinner person like Kuro a small nimble advantage, but that meant nothing if he couldn't break his defenses.

He's probably wanting me to fight him head on, but given our physical differences, that's suicide on my part. Kuro's eyes flashed over to Kaiyo and the observing students. The latter were definately enjoying the show, most of them cheering Leden on in his strong actions. Heh, at least my goal is met. This fight's fun and entertaining......but as long as I'm in it........I may as well try to win!

Kuro's reiatsu surged again as his fighting spirit awakened. He didn't get this motivated normally, unless there was opportunity for growth. He looked at Kaiyo again, his face making a small grimace.

I know she asked for no kido, but that was in the interest of protecting the other students. So I'll refrain from using any hado. A true fight is using all the skills you have, and this is one of my skills. If she has a problem with it, she can whack me later. I didn't start this challenge as a initiation into a squad anyway. This is just for fun.

Kuro jumped back a short distance from Leden. He concentrated his rising energy and began to chant.

"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo #9: Geki!"

As he finished the chant, Kuro heard a few of the spectators gasp with surprise that he would so blatently disregard Kaiyo's request. He didn't give it any further thought. Leden wasn't as powerful as Kaiyo and Kuro had used a stronger seal on him than on Kaiyo, so he was positive that Leden would be paralyzed with the red light for at least 15 seconds. Gambling on that hope, he took his sword in stance and charged at Leden again. He abandoned all attempts at surprise attacks now, going straight for Leden's front.

I don't care how buff you are, all people have a weak spot right here! he thought to himself.

Concentrating his energy again, Kuro side stepped to his right and swung his sword with all his might at the front of Leden's throat. If it connected, no matter how tough Leden was, he would have difficulty breathing for a few minutes.

shock filled ledens face as his body became numb and started to glow red. Leden watch as Kuro swung his sword at his neck . the crowned gasped as the sword hit leden in neck breaking the spell and making leden step back coughing . his eyes turn red from the presser of his coughing

that was low so low , he broke the rules to win the fight , dirty lil skum he will pay

leden dropped his wooden sword . the attack to the neck made it hard for him to breath but had pissed him off more then any thing. Leden was regained his breath. he rushed with a left then a right jab at Kuro face and center of his chest following that by bring a knee up aimed a blow at his lower mid section . leden fueled his speed with spirit presser making his move fast and like blurs . Leden was intent on beating the crap out of this kid before Kaiyo could break it up

Kaiyo quickly leapt in and grabbed Leden's fist, spinning him round the other way so he was not long attacking Kuro. The small blonde girl then turned her attention to Kuro, frowning slightly Kaiyo stepped closer to the man; standing on her tip toes the small blonde girl flicked him on the forehead. 'Fights over, Leden wins' she called cheerfully to the crowd. As the rest of the students began to disperse and go back to looking at each squad kaiyo stared up at kuro, her deep blue eyes piercing through his.

Scratching the back of her head Kaiyo smiled, 'Thanks for not using Hado'. Turning back to Leden Kaiyo smiled happily, 'are you gunna do your sword display now Leden?'. Kaiyo knew Kuro hadn't used Kidou with the intent of breaking rules, the blonde girl figured it was just to show his power.

Ryouta flash stepped away from his stall and appeared in the middle of the arena, nearest to Kuro. He grinned around his toothpick.

"Fought like a 2nd Squad member- with disregard for the rules. In real life, ya would've won, and he'd be dead," Ryouta chuckled. "Now officially, I can't be heard condoning rule-breakin', but well, I think my attitude towards this is clear."

He turned to return to his stall. "If ya want a place on the squad...ya've got it."

ooc: and if kaiyo disapproves of ryouta's approval,

Kuro had taken Leden's jab to his face, being surprised by his quick recovery.

I guess fury is the best medicine.

Kuro bowed to Kaiyo and Leden, knowing that Leden probably had nothing good to say to him.

"I give thanks for the spar. I do not care who the winner was. It was an enjoyable match, and I must say that Leden-san has potential with that strength of his. If I had not used Kido, I would have had no chance in my current state. I know that this is just turning words around, but Kaiyo's words against kido sounded more like a request than actual rules to me." *smile*

Kuro turned and started walking away, heading for a tree that he could rest against. Leden had pushed him to use everything he had, labeling Kuro as a disregarder or rules in the process, and he was exhausted. He turned back to face Kaiyo and Leden one last time.

"I don't know if you'll ever want to even look at me again Leden, but this was fun. Let's do it again sometime when we're both even stronger."

Kuro resumed his walk and slouched against a big tree on the side of the open house. He relaxed and watched the continuing festivities, feeling a sense of accomplishment for the day.

Leden did not smile when Kaiyo lifted his hand in the air as the winner. He hung his head once she let his hand go and walking back over to the 11th squad table rubbing his neck. His frustrations and disappointment did not show on his face. It did however show in his cold demeanor. the bruise on his neck was starting to swell up making his breathing slightly irregular

There is no use for a soldier in any squad who cannot obey orders from superiors Leden said very seriously to Kuro

Leden looked down at Kaiyo

Leden walked slowly towards the table nodding to people from the academy that he knew

How could I bring such sham on the 11th squad …I should have just ended the battle right away ….i was silly trying to put on a show …and dame it I need to bring this swelling down

He use a simple healing spell as he walked. He looked back at the group of people still crowded around and saw Vice Captain of the 2nd squad talking to Kuro. He thought to him self

I do hope Ryouta is not approving of Kuro disobeying the orders of a Vice Captain surly the 2nd in command of the military forces could not support something like that

Leden picked up his sword . and walked back to Kaiyo

After the dust had settled, Nikoda appeared using his shunpo to run onto the scene. He looked around, his chocolate eyes scrutinizing everything. He saw there was a shinigami retrieving his sword and was breathing erratically; Nikoda deduced there had been some sort of sparring session or exhibition. He could clearly see one vice-captain, which immediately sparked his interest having taken private lessons throughout his time in the Shinigami Academy. With his head slightly tilted to the side, almost unnoticeably, Nikoda approached the petite woman with blonde hair. Effectively ignoring the presence of all the others, being single-minded for the moment, he greeted the vice-captain.

“Konnechi-wa, Kaiyo Fuku-kaichou. (Hello, Vice-captain Kaiyo)Thank you for the invitation. Sorry, I am late but I had…class to attend.”

He flinched at the thought of the horrid training session he had come from with tutor Pai Mei. He looked down at his bandaged hands as Kaiyo replied, the cloth as white as his hilt wrappings. Nikoda could feel a slight breeze crawl over the sparring, through his short, spiked black hairs and his sleeveless robe. The breeze was refreshing but it didn’t distract his mind from the fact that almost everyone was watching him as he addressed Kaiyo.

Kaiyo turned at her name being mentioned and grinned. 'I wouldn't worry about being late' the small girl smiled happily as she ruffled the back of her hair, 'I usually am' the girl smiled, despite how begrudged the guy had seemed about his previous lesson.

Not noticing the eyes currently locking onto the pair, Kaiyo put out her hand to shake it. Not really feeling like she needed to be subtle with this guy, 'so erm what's your name and how can i help' from someone else the statement may have seemed rude, but Kaiyo's complete sincerity had yet to fail the small girl. Kaiyo frowned at ryouta before turning back to Leden, 'Okay do your thing'

Marcus stood on the side lines of the little sparring match that was going on between an academy student, and a member of 11-th squad. Once the fight was over Marcus turned to the kid next to him. "Come on, you lost." He whispered as he held out his hand. The kid shot him a dirty look and dropped a few coins in his hand. He then walked away sore that he lost the bet.

With that Marcus made his way to the 11-th squad booth. He picked up a flyer that told various things about this certain squad. "Seems interesting." He commented to himself as he looked around for who ever was in charge of the booth. After a few seconds of scanning around he instead saw the vice-captain of squad 2. "Ehh squad 2 could be good too." After a few seconds Marcus finally made his way though the crowed to the vice-captain.

"Hello sir" He greeted the man in a confident voice. "I'm Interested in joining your squad sir. Could I get some information on how its like in 2nd squad?"

Ryouta opened his eyes and gave the Academy student a brief once-over. Looks confident. Sounds confident. But, it could just be a facade.

Ryouta smirked. "Well, let's see- I gave a really long speech about it a few minutes ago, but I'm too lazy to get that passionate again, so I'll just condense it to the good parts. Bein' 2nd Squad is basically bein' a part of Onmitsukido, otherwise known as the Covert Ops. We emphasize speed, intelligence, and fightin' skill as what our squad is most proficient in. Our motto is 'Win no matter the cost.'"

Ryouta twirled his toothpick in a circular motion with his tongue. "Do ya know what that means?" Behind his casual exterior, Ryouta thought And this would be test number one for this guy. It'll show me if he has the mindset necessary to join the squad.

Nikoda reached out his completely bandaged hand and shook the Vice-Captain's hand as not to seem rude, but also bowed as he shook out of habit. After shaking hands, he told Kaiyo his ulterior motive.

"I would like to test myself in battle. I've been under private instruction for quite some time and I would like to see if I'm made any progress."

He didn't look up and smile at her, he had wondered once if he was even capable of such human actions of if he lacked the chemical components in his brain to have a true genuine smile. However, he did bow his head to respect to Kaiyo. As they continued to talk, Nikoda rubbed his hands together a little nervously as he fought off his urge to think of experiments. He knew the Vice-Captains present would not approve of him experimenting on his fellow peers, but honestly he didn't see the harm in it...as long as he produced results.

Kaiyo nodded at Nikoda, smiling as the girl replied, 'Well you can either fight me or one of my squad members, it depends how much you want to test yourself really' she giggled. The blonde girl glanced up and down at Nikoda, he definately seemed odd to say the least, and he was definately not telling her something. Despite his odd reactions the girl did notice his fully bandaged hand, 'Maybe tomorrow though, when your a bit more healed up' Kaiyo wouldn't fight anyone already injured, they'd jsut hurt themselves more and gain nothing.

Kaiyo's attention was caught by a particlar academy student who went to her booth, looking quite interested, before turning to talk to Ryouta, the small girl bit her bottom lip slightly. Kaiyo had no intention of fighting Ryouta for the guy, but she didn't want to leave his questions unanswered. Kaiyo smirked, placing her thumb and finger into her motuh before whistling loudly, getting pretty much everyone's attention the girl grinned and called loudly, 'All questions answered here'

Saroki appeared from a shadow away from most of the other shinigami, she giggled slightly and walked closer to the others, she had been recording the various fights that wher progressing in her notepad. Saroki was studying the other shinigami, their fighting skill, and their fighting style. She hid the small notepad and the pencil that she was writeing with in her pocket.

Nikoda shoved his hands into his side pockets and smiled, musing, "Me facing off against a Vice-Captain...I suppose Master Pai Mei would want it like that. If you have the time I would welcome such a challenge. Even though I know it impossible to defeat such a skilled warrior in battle. Maybe I can at least surprise you."

Nikoda had been slightly startled by Kaiyo's whistling but now he stood completely still awaiting the Vice-Captain's decision. Knowing that he had played quite a hand, it was a chance for him to see what the future promised and it was a way for Kaiyo to show off her unrivaled fighting prowess.
