Kuro thought about Ryota's question for a moment. He had studied and agreed with most of the Onmitsukido's ways, but since joining the academy and making friends, he felt that a few of their policies were a little harsh.

"I'm quick enough and am able to keep a mostly clear head on the field, doing what it takes to win, but I feel that I wouldn't be a by the book member all around. These things about sacrificing or abandoning teammates I don't feel I could ever do. Sacrificing myself would be one thing, but my loyalty to those I care about wouldn't let me do that."

Kuro started playing with his sword awkwardly again.

"I guess by that standard, I'm no good for the Onmitsukido."

Kaiyo couldn't help but giggle slightly at Kuro, since she'd met him Kaiyo had always figured he'd have the skill to be in the 2nd squad; her only worry was about Ryouta's comment of sacrfising a teammate for a mission; a thought Kaiyo had never agreed with. Turning to Rebecca Kaiyo smiled politely, resting her right hand at the back of her head, 'Kidou I'd go for squad 5 they're the Kidou guys' the blonde girl chuckled at Ryouta spat a toothpick across at the academy students, letting out a small sigh Kaiyo turned back to Rebecca.

'Well if you ever have any problems, or just want a good sparr I'm nearly always free' Or doing paperwork. Kaiyo's attention was drawn by a rather burly looking man who strolled arrogantly over to Kaiyo's table, knocking aside other students as he went. Kaiyo stared blankly as the man slammed his fist down on her table and called, 'Sign me up!'. The blonde girl laughed up at the ugly man, 'Trust me if you act like that you wouldn't ant to be in my squad' the small blonde girl had come to have very little tolerance for rude arrogant people; and she'd 'informed' her squad of this as well. the man seemed more than a little confused, before letting out a pompus laugh at the small girl, tapping her jokingly on the shoulder, 'Nice one kid, wheres the real 11th Lieutenant'. Kaiyo leaned forwards in disbelief, smiling sweetly up at the man, 'he's ill at the moment be he asked me to give you something really special'. The man's face lit up with excitement; as he stared down at the girl. Kaiyo nodded slightly to Rebecca first, 'Squad 10 is also a good middle ground'. the blonde girl moved a strand of hair back into place as she leant closer to the man, grabbing quickly onto his collar Kaiyo threw him backwards past her table.

A few gasps and murmurs ran along the crowd as the blonde girl smiled politely at them. Some people however rushed over at the sight of Kaiyo throwing a man backwards with such ease.Kaiyo spun around to look for Leden; her had promised to do a sword display with her but she couldn't find him, Kaiyo sighed slightl; if he didn't show soon she'd need to find a replacement.

Kuro felt better with Ryouta's explanation, but maybe he'd have to leave the 2nd squad for a later date. Perhaps Kaiyo and her squad would be a good starting point so he could first learn the basics of battle and leadership. Ryouta's idea of changing squads was a major possibility for Kuro too. He bowed low to Ryouta and started walking through the students again. He didn't see much more for him to do there. Maybe he'd get in one of the rings and challenge someone to a practice spar.......on second thought, in the interest of keeping attention off himself as long as possible, maybe he'd wait for someone else to challenge him. He did not like to be in the spotlight, but he never turned down a challenge either.

Leden walked in to the open house for squads his custom uniform exposed the whole left side of his torso. he walked over to the 11 squad table . Leden was 6'7 and was well built . he had The Insignia for the Eleventh Division printed on his right Sleeve with a 6 stitched under it in red with 3 blood drops under it . his hair was cut in a lo hawk and he had a spike pricing in his ear lob. he look like and all round bad ass with his tats on his arm and chest and back. He stood in fount of the table .

Many of the students who passed stopped to talk to him since he had just graduated not to long ago . many of them were impressed that he was already a seated officer . some of the girls who passed blushed when he smiled at them. he keep his eyes out for the toughest looking students and students he new were great fighters .

Leden smiled at his Vice Cpt.....its only 2 pm and your already throwing students

Kaiyo turned and giggled at leden, 'Not my fault he asked where the real Lieutenant was' Kaiyo spoke in a joking voice as she gently let herself off the table. The small blonde girl ruffled her hair slightly, she preffered a slightly messy look to perfect. Kaiyo tapped Leden on the arm, there was no way in hell she could simply talk in his ear, he was practically twice her size, pulling Leden down to her size Kaiyo smiled, 'You ready to do you sword display to attract some more people'.

kaiyo turned and smiled to another 11th squad possible, smiling sweetly at the lean looking man as he bowed with respect to the Lieutenant. kaiyo's eyes shone with an idea as the girl picked up a box from under her table, the squad 11 leaflets made into paper aeroplanes filled the box. Still smiling at her own genius kaiyo began to throw some into the large crowd.

Leden caught Kuro's eye as he strode into the open house. He had started in the academy shortly before Kuro himself had enrolled. Kuro had always wondered how good he was in a fight. Revising his original thought, Kuro doubled back towards the 11th squad booth.

"Kaiyo. I've got an idea to liven things up. How about you let me, an academy student, spar with your new member here."

Kuro smiled at Leden and offered his hand for a handshake.

Leden said very seriously. He was joking but he knew most of the students would not she was a vice captain and more so that would tick her off a lil . he shook some students hands before leaning in to hear what Kaiyo had to say .

Leden picked up one of the squad 11 leaflets and smirked …skulls and flowers were on the border with the slogan : Welcome to your Doom . It was clear Kaiyo had designed them. Before he could answer he looked down at the new student who had walked up to the table and asked to spar with him. Leden sized him. This kid dident look like much of a fighter . but mybe he was fast or good a Kido

Many of the students who knew Leden gasped he was known for being a good fighter when he was at the academy

Kaiyo glanced between Kuro and Leden; she'd fought them both at different times. Kaiyo didn't want the open day to turn into a carnage, the small blonde girl stepped between the guys. Her arms out between the pair as she smiled, 'Okay, but you only using wooden swords and you stop when i say' Kaiyo didn't want to stop anyone having fun; and she thought the fight would be a good idea, but she definately didn't want it to ruin the day.

Despite her friendly voice and welcoming smile Kaiyo was fairly certain both kuro and Leden understood that she was serious.

Leden sighed looking upset as she held out the wooden swords. Leden had always hated wooden sword manly because they always snap in half from his brute physical strength. but the look on Kaiyo face keep him from objecting. he took the wooden sword and walked over to a spot as the students made a ring around them. many of them placing beats on leden cuz of his size


what is with this kid ....must be trying to prove him self ...well i will see if he strong enough for the 11th

Kuro dismissed any tense feelings with an innocent smile.

"I didn't mean it as a violent challenge from the start Kaiyo. This is merely a friendly match to give your squad a chance to show its might. Also a way to break the tension I still feel around here."

Kuro took his wooden sword and stood at the opposite side of the ring of students. He heard the bets being placed and grinned again.

"I know this looks like I'm trying to be a pompous showoff proving himself, but I hope that we can enjoy this fight while putting on a nice performance for the others."

Kuro glanced over at Kaiyo, flashing yet another silly smile to ease her worries about the spar. "Ready over here. You give the signal Kaiyo."

kaiyo nodded slightly as the crowd parted for the small blonde girl to walk through, kaiyo smiled to both guys. 'Good luck both; no Kidou either please i don't want anyone else hurt' the girl's cheerful voice echoed past the various bets pilling in. Kaiyo couldn't help but smile; she was quite interested about the fight herself. Pulling off a red scarf a nearby academy student was wearing Kaiyo held it high above her head (which in fact wasn't that high) and waited 'good luck guys' she smiled once more.

Kaiyo's right arm shot down quickly as she called loudly, 'Go!'. The small girl turned and gently handed back the red scarf to the girl, smiling a weak apology for taking the scarf.

Kuro twinged for a second as Kaiyo requested that they didn't use kido.

Rats! Without bakudos, bringing this guy down is gonna be no easy task. I guess I'll just have to try and out manouver him.

Kuro shot forward in a lowered charge the instant that Kaiyo's arm fell. He wasn't good at utilyzing shunpo in battles yet, but his foot speed was quick enough on its own. He shifted side to side as he ran, trying to confuse Leden as to where he would strike from. Finally, he took a high speed leap and dove over Leden's left shoulder, swinging his wooden sword at the side of his head as he passed. He landed about 4 feet behind Leden and spun around to face his back, pulling himself up into a defensive stance in preparation for Leden's move.

Leden watched as Kuro ran at him . the boy was fast but not fast enough to to have a big enough advantage over him . Leden did not move remaining completely still waiting to see what Kuro . as Kuro Leaped in to the air Leden leaned back as the wooded sword passed over his face only a few centimeters away from his nose .

well he clearly means business

Leden spun around stepping in at Kuro. He swung his sword right across at Kuro upper torso and then arced his arm up and followed by swinging is left down aiming to drag it from his shoulders to his hip . Ledens swings were powerful for he put his back in to each swing as he held his wooden sword in one hand .

Kuro felt as his blade sliced at nothing but air. This was going to be tough.

Damn! I'm faster than him, but not fast enough to completely surprise him. The only edge my speed will probably give me is dodging his swings.

Kuro let his sword swing all the way around as it missed Leden, bringing it to a stop right against his body. He held the sword in this position and let Leden's sword smack into it with a sharp crash that rang throughout the open house. Kuro's own sword was dug into him a bit with the crash and left a bruising spot on his side, but he had blocked Leden's attack like that for a reason. The momentum from Leden's sword swing was enough to propel Kuro away and evade Leden's punch. He skidded to a stop and faced Leden, a bit of uncertainty showing on his face.

Darn, he's strong. I was lucky enough to get away from that one swing, but if he gets me with those fists of his, I'm a gonner. I need to fight smart. What would be the best move?

As Kuro stood wondering about his move, the sun broke through the light cloud cover, bathing the whole area with sunlight. Suddenly Kuro had an idea.

Of course! It's the oldest trick in the book, as well as one of the cheapest, but I'm a covert and speed specialist. I do what's necessary as long as it's not too dirty. But I'll need a little more speed.

Kuro closed his eyes for a moment and concentrated hard. His spirit energy began to surge and filled him with a charge for his next attack. His eyes flew open with the same familiar glow of energy behind them and he began another forward charge, this time fueled by his spirit power. When he was about 3 yards from Leden, he jumped up high, about level with the tops of the trees. The spectators shielded their eyes, but still couldn't see Kuro flying at Leden in the glow of the sun. Keeping his sword held in his right hand in case Leden got in a lucky swing, Kuro landed behind Leden and spun around quickly, swinging his leg over in a low swinging kick aimed at Leden's left knee.
