(Kido Mastery please. Thank you judges)

Kaito sighed as he raised his hands to block out the morning sun, "Why do I have to be the one to always get these crazy missions of his?" he asked to the sky in disappointment how he had always managed to be the first one to receive crazy requests to do missions. Scratching the head, the young third seat wondered whether it had to do with his lack of activity if he wasn't assigned to these missions which in retrospect did make sense to him, but he would never admit to it. Unfortunately for the prodigy of the third squad, he had been assigned by the captain to go and fill in for Natsumi-sensei as she had to apparently had an important obligation that was completely top secret since no one seemed to people to tell him about it. Once he was on academy grounds, a sense of sickness and nostalgia washed over Kaito as he walked through the tatami doors that led to the room of students of whom he was apparently supposed to teach. As he walked into the classroom, Kaito found some of his old classmates staring back at him in amazement as if he had grown a third eye or something equivalent to that.

Quickly brushing away the useless papers on Natsumi-sensei's desk the young shingami assessed where the class was at in terms of their schooling and almost let out another sigh because of how troublesome the lesson today was going to be, but he knew that he wouldn't hear the end of it if he failed. Clearing his throat so that the murmuring about the new substitute teacher that was now in front of the class would stop which would also give him the chance to properly introduce himself to the class and hopefully allow him to assert authority. "Well...my name is Kaito Saruwatari and I am the third seat of the third squad. Since I am filling in for Ms. Natsumi, I would like to maintain a nice, calm atmosphere with you guys..." he said unenthusiastically. Even though he was sure that the students could sense how much he didn't want to be here he didn't bother even checking as he prepared the items for the lesson for the class, but the awkward silence didn't last long as suddenly a question rang through the air, "Didn't you graduate only 8 months ago?". Sighing Kaito finished the last of his preparations and raised his eyes to meet the eyes of the person who had asked the question, "Yea, I did. You can ask questions later, but for now I'm afraid we have a lesson to start, agreed?" he added.

It took the other student, who was most likely an older soul than Kaito himself, almost no time to respond with an approving head nod which made Kaito brighten a bit since it meant that he did have some influence over the class because of his ranking. "Today we are going to look at some ways to deal with emergencies when someone suffers from poisoning or has been wounded in a minor fashion, ok?" he explained while surveying the class for any sleepers which he wasn't sure he really wanted to chastise since it wasn't too long ago he was one of them. Blowing into one of the portable gigai that were provided for the lesson Kaito began to explain the scenario, "This person has swallowed some sort of poison and for now you don't know what it is. Does anyone know what you can do in this situation?" Kaito finished with a question. Many raised their hands , but Kaito lazily raised his hand to choose a little girl with her hair wrapped in a bun as he stifled back a yawn, "You can use the Detox kido since it would generally take care of most poisons that are archived so far..." the girl answered expertly. "Uh...right. Now I will have you attempt this later with the other gigai, but here I will perform it so that you have an example to relate to..." as he focused his gaze upon the sick gigai and raised his right palm over its forehead, "May the poison coursing through this child's veins be banished! May a purifying arrow of light shatter the venomous glare of the cobra!, Bakudo # 10, Detox!" he finished.

A green light flowed from his palm to the head of the gigai and seemed to pulsate in little waves of reiatsu around its body as the gigai seemed to visibly improve in its demeanor, but before he finished reviving it Kaito again prodded the class, "What is another kido I should probably follow this up with?". Not as many hands raised this time since it seemed to be a question that no one except a nerdy looking boy wanted to answer, "You would use First Aid next once you knew the poison was gone" the boy answered once Kaito called upon him. Nodding his head Kaito allowed the green light from the first kido to fade out as he began to focus on the second one, "Let the Nightengale descend from her place at the lord's side to heal the minor wounds of my comrade, Bakudo # 3, First Aid..." mumbled. Once again a green light emanated from his right palm which still hung over the gigai's head as if he were offering it some kind of blessing, but he turned to the class once again, "Do you guys think the order we just did this in to be the normal fashion?" he asked the class. Many heads shook no to his question, "Why not?" he pressed on as he quickly chose a burly boy in the back to answer him, "Uh..." the boy started, but then one of his friends whispered something which Kaito knew was the answer to him, "Well no, because you would want to stop any blood flow or wounds before you heal the poison in case there is an entry point" the boy finished confidently.

Sighing, Kaito didn't even bother admonishing the boy's friend for giving him the answer when he didn't know it intially, "That is correct, now let me ask you guys one more thing before I dismiss you today. What other healing kido do you know of that you would probably learn in this class?" he said. Everyone called out, "Royal Medicine!" which apparently was a favorite among the students so Kaito channeled his reiatsu once again as he readied himself for the kido, "You guys ready for this?" he asked without any emotion in his voice. There were some excited "yes" that came from the class so he called out, "May the bedside manner of the Holy Mother reside within me! May I care for this child through his nightmares, Bakudo # 29, Royal Medicine" he finished without any flourish. This time the green light that came from his hand burst forth and the reiatsu that was generated caused the books on the desk to flutter slightly, but Kaito was ready to leave so he quickly cut the kido short and gestured to everyone that they could now leave. Dropping into Natsumi-sensei's seat Kaito smacked his head into this palm and dragged his palm downward from his face in a slow manner that symbolized how much he was going to hate doing this mission for the next couple of days.
