Kaiyo kept having to keep a check on her own spiritual energy, the blonde girl didn't want to release too much, but she knew the guy could handle a lot more than most others. The girl didn't watch too closely as Kaito started spinning her blade quickly at his side, the blonde girl simply moved her stance. Kaiyo's mind was racing, thinking of the possiblities of why the guy would be waiting to get more speed with his sword. Kaiyo had vaguely covered the kind of fighter the guy was, and she could sense his own energy rising, the girl smirked. Carefully not to look at the branch abover her head Kaiyo waited patiently.

Kaito's Zanpaktou shimmereing quickly through the air, seperating th branch with an impressive precision. Kaiyo spun round with her Zanpakyou, slicing through the branch as it dropped either side of the small girl. The small blonde girl hadn't however expected Kaito to follow his attack with another. Kaiyo flew backwards along the grass, sticking ehr Zanpaktou into the ground as she skidded backwards on one knee. Being Lieutenant of the 11th squad meant many things to Kaiyo, but the one she was most thankful for was her ability to ignore wounds. Smiling Kaiyo got back to her feet, pulling her blade out of the ground, 'That was nice' she called to Kaito happily.

Kaiyo could feel the guys spiritual energy puring from his body, the girl smiled inwardly, certain she coudl draw out that extra power he'd been to lazy to get to. Kaiyo rushed forwards at Kaito, flash stepping from just a few metres away to behind him, swinging her Zanpaktou in an X formation along his back. The blonde girl wasn't done there either, Kaiyo leapt off the ground, spinning over her opponents head as she brought her blade down with her landing, aiming another slice vertically down his side.

Kaito once again felt the stinging at his back as the girl slashed an X into his back, but again he ignored the burning at his back as he eyed the girl jumping up into the air. On her way down Kaito watched as she came to strike at him once again from above, but he quickly rolled to the side and made a dash for his zanpakutou that was stuck in the ground only a few meters away. "If I continue to take this much damage..." Kaito observed, "...My movement is going to be completely cut down" Kaito half turned his head to Kaiyo, "I didn't think that you were going to be able to take on that attack so easily" he said to her. Grabbing the blade in his hand once again he watched as the sun glinted of its edge, as if to express its enthusiasm in the fight. Unfortunately Kaito didn't have the same enthusiam for the fight and he couldn't help, but want to call it quits.

The girl seemed to be having fun from everything that Kaito had seen, but she also wasn't the type to hold back when it came to a fight, "Man...this is so troublesome" he thought as he rubbed his head in exasperation. His crimson eyes took in the view of the girl as the breeze blew past him caressing his face. Lifting up the blade horizontally in front of him, Kaito took his stance as he readied himself to attack the girl once again. Running at full speed at the girl once again, Kaito had no other option, but to fight her head-on. Knowing nothing about how to try and beat a lieutenant made the fight a whole lot more difficult for him, but he focused his mind so that the world slowed down around him.

It seemed a little more reiatsu began to pour out from his being as he quickly slashed horizontally at the girl and then hop-stepped the her side. Once he got the side of the girl he ducked, planted his left hand into the ground and spun with his blade arm extended out so that he could cut anything in the whirlwind of blades. "Dodge this Kaiyo-san" he said in all the noise.

Kaiyo figured the fight was coming to end soon, and with the end of a fight came the most powerful attacks. tHe blonde girl smiled politely at Kuro, 'That wasn't an easy attack to take on' the girl giggled slightly to herself, 'But my Captain's thrown worse at me'. Kaiyo loved to fight, but even the blonde girl so filled with energy had been annoyed for fighting so much with her Captain before; but most of the time Kaiyo was just glad to get in the extra practise.

The small blonde girl twisted both of her arms to the side of her body, with her blade facing the ground as she met Kaito's Zanpaktou across her body. Quickly twisting her hands back to her ready position the watched, intruiged as Kaito spun on his hand. The technique waas good, well thought out and executed with a degree of competence you usually wouldn't find from an academy student. The smirked comment however, was to be expected. Kaiyo's only response was to avoid the attack all together, but when face with a whirlwind of blades shooting at you it was not a surprise for the small girl to take annother cut along her calf. The blood slowly trickling down to the ground Kaiyo stayed in the air. 'Fight finishing moves then i guess, and you pass with full marks' the small girl grinned from above Kaito.

Kaiyo threw her Zanpaktou to to the ground, the red and yellow ribbons appearing along the hilt as she did, along with the golden glow of her Shikai. Kaiyo smiled at Kaito, 'Raikou Mato' a large spiritually enhanced lightning bolt shot from the blade, aiming straight for Kaito stomach. Kaiyo gracefully landed back to teh ground. The girl had told Kaito he'd get to see her shikai.

The lightening bolt shot into his stomach and blew Kaito away a couple feet in the air, "Damn, there's no need to continue fighting if that's how its gonna be" he told himself as he flew threw in the air. Crashing through the dirt Kaito's robes flopped all around him as he rolled in the dirt from the momentum from the blast. It stung as his body finally rolled to a painful stop, "Once more and I have to quit for my own sake" he wheezed out. Grabbing the hilt with both hands Kaito dashed at Kaiyo with everything he had, the world becoming a blur as he picked up speed to attack her. Slinging his blade over his shoulder, Kaito prepared for his final assault as he was now only inches away from Kaiyo. He started with a spinning cut to her head then he followed it by a leap over her and a downward slash. Once he had landed, his back was facing Kaiyo and he plunged his zanpakutou underneath his shoulder at the girl. Kaito glanced back to see the damage that he had done if any, "This is way more exertion than I had asked for, but I suppose that it would only be right to give her the chance to retaliate against the assault" he told himself. On one knee Kaito felt the tiredness fill his body as he continued to fight and he was surprised to see how much the girl had forced him to push himself, "She really is a lieutenant then" he said and for the first time in the entire fight he cracked a smile.

The blonde girl showed nothing but appreciation for Kaito, few of her own squad members had spent weeks healing from her lightning, let alone carrying on combat afterwards. The girl turned her body in time with Kaito't first attack, the ringing of the two blades colliding echoing through her being as her opponent continued his final rampage. kaiyo swung her own Zanpaktou across as Kaito leapt over the girl, but she hadn'r expected the lunge at her shoulder. Working on reflexes alone Kaiyo threw her body backwards, taking an inch deep wound to her right shoulder. Glancing down at her body, Kaiyo stared as the blood started pouring from her cut, it was nothing she couldn't handle. The small blonde girl wasted no time in sheathing back up her Zanpaktou, beaming with Joy as Kaito began panting on one knee. The wound in his stomach was quite serious, so Kaiyo decided medical attnetion would be the next best thing.

'For someone who started a fight by saying their sword skill wasn't good you did amazingly' the blonde girl bounced over to Kaito. 'So heres the hard part'. Kaiyo figured she would get moaned at for not getting her own wound dressed, so the small blonde girl tilted her head at Kaito. Even kneeling the guy was the same size as her, 'Do i carry you there, or do you walk yourself'. Unlike many other Lieutenants Kaiyo didn't have a problem with ego or pride, but the girl was always careful of stepping on others.

Kaito couldn't help, but smile at the girl's kindness with her assessment of his skills. "Kaiyo-san, I appreciate your kind words, but there's no need to give needless compliments" he said as he stood up once again, his whole body singing with pain. "My sword skill is nothing compared to your own and I know that, but do you think once I graduate that I could be a seated officer?" he heard himself asking. Even Kaito surprised himself with this question since he had never really had an ambition to such achievements; everything that he had done up until this point was simply to graduate and nothing more. "Has this girl inspired me to be something more than just the average shinigami?" he asked himself. His smile faded away as he stared at the girl in front of him with the same bored look that he had on his face when they had met. Sighing he allowed the pain that he had been holding back to explode through his body once again.

It burned him that he had been bested by the little girl, but he wasn't sure whether or not he really wanted to train hard so that he could beat her. To someone like Kaito, who didn't like work that seemed like a waste of time since he wouldn't willingly pick a fight with a girl in the first place. Staring at the girl he awaited her answer, an answer which he would most likely use to decide his next move.

Kaiyo didn't move for a moment, keeping eye contact with Kaito as he spoke. The girl's mind flashed back to their fight, the very moment when she had seem the spark in his eye, the glimmer of determination needed to achieve anything. The small girl grinned, 'You could end up being a Lieutenant ya know, maybe when i make Captain' she giggled. The girl's voice was filled with sincerity, Kaiyo didn't doubt Kaito at all, granted he was lazy, but he definately had the skill to become a Vice Captain. The blonde girl titlted her head at the girl, chewing on her bottom lip for a moment before you spoke, 'And if you join my squad you'd be a 3rd seat straight out of the academy'.

Kaiyo glanced down at the small pool of blood that had formed from the wounda Kaito had received, 'Now we really need to get you healed, be honest' the small girl took a step closer, 'Can you get there yourself?'

Kaito watched the girl as she asked him whether or not he could make the trip back to the medical center on his own. He felt his blood drip from many places, but it was fine, Kaito knew that he wasn't going to die. Turning to walk away from the girl he said over his shoulder, "Kaiyo-san, thank you for taking time out to work with me. I appreciate everything you have done for me today. I think I may have gotten a little better from this encounter". It bothered him that he lost so handily to the girl, even though she was a lieutenant, "I guess that was to be expected" he thought as he brought his arms above his head. Letting out a breath Kaito added, "Kaiyo-san, I guess it would be a waste to put in all this work just to become a lieutenant so I'm going to have to aim a bit higher than that" he said as the bright sun shined through his messy hair and into his eyes. Putting his hand in the air to indicate a farewell Kaito wondered to himself whether or not his experience today was worth so much trouble.

"I hope I get a good evaluation from all of this..." he thought miserably as he stared up at the clouds, wishing, as he usually did that he was one of them.
