Kyo was walking around the seireitei, it was raining of course. He was enjoying himself though, it was his first time meeting all these new people and he was excited to get to know them all. He had an umbrella up so that he wouldnt get to wet, but to him he really didnt care. He maily started to talk with people of the 11 squad seeing that the squad he going to join in the future.

Kaiyo kept her head down as she moved. The Captain hadn't actually been so keen on going outside in this weather, but a few un-settling reports had been coming in. The 12th squad had taken a whole group of her squad members for 'routine testing'. The blonde girl had arrived just before they were injected with whatever was in those needles. Either way, a stern warning that all medical treatments would definitely be administered by the 4th squad, the girl had been making her way back to her squad barracks. Kaiyo really needed to talk to Ryuota about this, though usually it was his squad members independently going after her guys. It was an annoyance, but one that would take a while to fix fully.

On her way back, the rain had started. Large droplets of water rushing down from the air, exploding on any surface they touched. Sereitei even seemed pretty empty. Kaiyo twisted around to look over her shoulder, her hair flicking water through the downpour as she moved. Nothing there. She was starting to get paranoid. The girl sighed once more, 'Bloody weather' she cursed. Where she was, it was all but abandoned, but for one lucky Academy student walking around with an umbrella. That and a few of her squad members. Kaiyo could have flash stepped back to the barracks, but she was soaked to the bone, and just wanted to find some shelter at the moment. The girl even considered, briefly, about asking to share the umbrella.

As Kyo was talking he saw the 11 squad Captian himono and he walked up to her, he saw that she really didnt like this kind of weather,''Would you like to share an umbrella'', he said politly with a smile. He was being nice so that he could get to know his future captian. He had a smile on his face as he awaited her to respond to him. He himself wouldnt mind walking around without an umbrella.

Kaiyo glanced up at the voice, a friendly face as well. The girl's own face lit up as she smiled politely at the guy, 'Please' she replied, shuffling closer to Kyo to share his umbrella. The rain sounded a lot different under it, the material was probably the factor in that, though it did seem sort of peaceful. Kaiyo flicked her head back again, moving a wet strand of hair that had stuck to her cheek. The girl threw a vague and casual salute to the guy, 'Nice to meet ya, I'm Kaiyo Saiyouko, Captain of the 11th squad'. The salute was never really Kaiyo's cup of tea, though sometimes she added it more for affect than anything else. The girl herself didn't appear like much of a combat fighter.

Kaiyo was wearing her signature red headband, many bracelets along her right wrist. A light blue vest top, and her uniform top undone. Along with of course, her 11th squad Haori and Zanpakuto at her left hip. The short girl smiled, waiting for the stranger to introduce himself to her.

''My name is Kyoraku Asakura academy student future 11 squad Vice Captian'', he said kindly with a smile. He was glad that he was able to meet his future captain. He was smiling, as he spoke to her. He was enjoying his time in the rain. He also was happy that for the first time being in the rain paid off.

Kaiyo stared blankly at the guy for a moment, eventually just laughing. It was an odd greeting, though it didn't seem arrogant in any way. The guy seemed more sincere than anything else. The girl looked Kyo up and down for a moment, still smiling as she replied. ' Heh, I get a lot of people wanting to be my Lieutenant ya know...What makes you think you can do it better?' she asked. Not trying to sound rude at all, no Kaiyo was genuinely interested in the guys answer. Then again, he was interesting. Standing in the rain with an umbrella than offering to share it with his future Captain, in a way, it was too lucky for chance. New squad members were always fun to meet though, and more recently, they had been straying from the archetypal 11th squad brute. So it was becoming a lot more fun.

(OOC: please try to keep your post length up Smile ))

Kaiyo nodded in mild approval of the question. 'Well then i'd be happy to let ya be my Vice Captain' she smiled. Often the difference between a great shinigami and a normal one was determination and ambition. How odd that both seemed to stem from two of the seven deadly sins; envy and greed, the things that more often than no drove people to succeed. Though Kaiyo wasn't so likely to judge reasons, her own never seemed like the normal option, so she had long since banished the assumptions that others might be as well. Kaiyo peered around from under the umbrella for a moment, the rain seemed to be getting a bit lighter, though she was still trying to find shelter. Walking a tad slower since her panic of being soaked was over. 'So, since you wanna join my squad, do you have any questions i can answer about it for ya?' she puzzled, leading Kyo around the corner. There was a small bar someone around here, a nice quiet place.

((OOC-Ok))

''Yes, who is the top Shinigami on your roster and who also how well are you of a fighter'', he said kindly. He wasent trying to be rude or nothing he jus wanted to know seeing this was the combat squad. He also wasent trying to get into a fight with her seeing that she is the captian. He had a smile on his face hopping that she knew that he did not mean any harm or rudeness for that manner. He also knew his reason sounded dumb but to him it sounded dumb and cool at the same time. He walked with her to the bar.

Kaiyo bit her bottom lip in thought for a second. Her mind crossing off different squad members to try and figure out who her highest ranking officer was. Between the amount of people who end up hospital for months, and decline seats higher for their favourite number. The blonde girl shrugged, 'I don't know really...One to look out for? Shiku' she added. Reaching the door to the bar as she gently pushed the door open. Walking in quickly to escape the rain, the girl turned around and held the door open for Kyo. Waiting for him to walk in before she answered his last question. 'Well, i'm a pretty good fighter' she laughed, a little uncertain about the question. 'The theory is, each Captain could beat their entire squad in a fight and each squad has a few hundred members and if my squad is the combat squad, well i guess i'm bad' she smiled. Kaiyo didn't like being asked such questions, simply because she never liked talking about herself with such pride. It often happened right before the falls.

Kaiyo nodded over to the barman as she wandered through the bar to a table at the back. The place was actually quite pleasant, a lot nice than most Rukongai dives. Though usually only ranked shinigami went in here, there was no strict rule against others allowed in, and being accompanied by a Captain pretty much guaranteed safe entry. Kaiyo squelched onto her seat, sitting quite rigid and shivering slightly. She was cold and wet. How lovely.

''Well I will, but one day I want to have a friendly spar with you so I can test my skills against a person of such Strength'', he said kindly with a smile as he sat down in his seat next to the captian. He also did want to meet this Shaku person to see if he was all strong. And if he wasn't Kyo would train him personally so that he could become. He wanted to make sure that nobody was going to be weak or made fun of just because he wasn't as strong as somebody else. He had a smile on his face throught the whole he spoke, and the whole time she spoke.

Kaiyo giggled slightly at his next comment, she was usually never one to turn down a spar, but a few of the other Captains had been raising complaints about the numbers she was sending to the 4th squad. Not that this bothered the girl too much, in fact most people expected it from her. 'Heh, anytime you want to fight ust let me know' she nodded with a vague smirk, not trying to sound arrogant, more friendly. Kaiyo knew a lot about combat, but that just meat she knew there was always something else to learn.

'So, how's the Academy?' she asked lightly, it was usually a good topic point for academy students. Th captain slumped back in her chair, gloomily glaring up to her soaked hair...How delightful. The bar-keep wandered over to the pair and slid a bottle of sake and two cups onto the table before bowing and leaving them alone. Kaiyo was fairly certain she hadn't asked for a drink, but she was too annoyed with the weather to really notice.

Kaiyo felt a tug of nerves as Ko took a sip of sake. Knowing fully well she did not handle the stuff well; the girl poured herself a cup. Not wanting to make him feel awkward or seem odd herself the pulled the cup closer to her face. The pungent smell of the liquid burnt her nostrils as she kept her expression stoic. Nodding slightly at what Kyo said as she took a quiet breath, tipping her head back as she necked the drink. Swallowing hard to force the burning drink down her throat she held back the grimace. Instead the girl just smiled, possible too much as she slid her glass back onto the table.

'Hmm, well why don't you have many friends? You seem nice to me' oblivious to perhaps how her question could be rude, the girl just kept her gaze on Kyo. Her pupils becoming wider by the second. 'Plus the tests aren't that bad, unless they're kido ones' the Captain titled her head back for a hearty laugh, hitting her hand gently on the table with more gusto as she explained her outburst. 'I used to even try and cheat in the Kido ones and i still failed them all!'

''I have no friends seeing as though most of them are stuck up and they are rude for the most part, so I just stay by myself, and also seeing as though when I do try they always want to teach me something and I always do it better than them'', he said kind;y.''You dont have to drink if it bothers you, and the test are bad I always forget the stuff'', he said kindly with a smile.''But could I ask you a question'', he said kindly.

Kaiyo smiled weakly at Kyo's reply. It seemed a bit odd her, how he explained his relationship with others. Granted, the academy was always filled with snobby nobles who really deserved a good beating, but his reference to his own ability was what caught her attention. Kaiyo didn't know anything about the guy, but he'd been saying a lot he wanted to help others, which begged the question of his own ability. A small grin tugged at the corner of her pink lips, the possibility of a future spar was becoming increasingly appealing.

The girl's smile dropped instantly at the mention of the drink. Her eyes falling automatically back down to her glass and then back up to Kyo. Surprised by his perceptive nature perhaps, the girl shrugged lightly. 'I'm not much of a drinker really'. There was a small giggle teetering on the edge of her words. Her first and only glass already starting to have an affect. 'And ask away! Ask me anything!' she announced.

He also had felt bad about what had happen to him and his sister those long years ago. He had on a seriouse face when he asked that question. He really needed a strong teacher and who else better then his future captain.

Kaiyo leant back in her chair, folding her arms as she looked quite seriously at Kyo for a moment. Any less would have demeaned his tone, let alone his words. Allowing her eyes the momentary vanity to trace up and down the student for a moment, Kaiyo pretended to think on the matter for longer. Her mind was actually very blank at the time, but what was a bit of suspense between friends. 'Heh. Sure' she shrugged lightly. Shuffling back in her chair again, Kaiyo scowled lightly as she shuffled a bit more in her seat, eventually turning to un-tying her Zanpakuto from her hip and slinging it onto her chair.

Kaiyo rested her head against her hand on the table; her wet hair was still clinging to the side of her face as she looked curiously towards her companion. 'Why?' she pondered, her question just about vague enough to perhaps receive a deeper answer as to his reasoning for fighting, for being a shinigami, or for wanting her help.

''I had made a promise to a person that means the world to me that I would become stronger and be able to help out people, seeing as though I was to weak then to hel;p her out''. He said with a sigh, thinking about it kinda made him a little sad, but then he relized that he was still out in public with the captain, so he quickly cheered up.

Kaiyo hesitated on probing the matter further, she didn't like to pry. Though a natural curiosity was biting away a her. The captain glanced past Kyo, her eyes glazing over in thought for a moment. Other than the mysterious promise, his motives sounded all to familiar. Whether it was being de-sensitised from her idealistic views, or maybe just being a Captain for too long. Kaiyo was starting to doubt exactly jut how much difference a person could make to others. Though at it's very core, even just helping one person could make her sleep easily at night.

Kaiyo rubbed her face heavily against her hand, blinking a few times as her eyes focused back in on Kyo.'So, what kinda things do you wanna learn?'. The Soul Reaper academy was fairly good at offering the basics to become a shinigami, though they tended to leave a lot of things out. More particularly, catering to the individuals.

Kaiyo watched the guy closely as he spoke, shuffling forwards in her chair as she smiled, making direct eye contact as he spoke. 'I can do that' she surmised. Kaiyo glanced down to the table for a second, leaning back in her chair to get a better view of Kyo. 'But, ya know you gotta be able to talk to me, so if there's anything up just tell me' there was a glimmer of light that rose up through the window. The pattering or rain drizzling into silence outside. Finally, the end of the storm.

The 11th squad captain was known for a few things, but her squad in general and herself were less known for actual emotion. Something kaiyo had been trying to change. The girl swept her hair backwards with her right hand, rubbing the back of her neck as she spoke. 'So, how'd you die?'. It was common for most souls to not remember, even most shinigami only could remember a few snippets of their past lives. For some though, th3 picture were all too vivid.

Kaiyo didn't smile when Kyo began talking, she didn't want to be so rude. Though it was definitely very rare to find a relative in Soul Society. Most people can spend their entire afterlife searching for long lost relatives and not find anyone. Fortunate really, that Kyo might have someone so close. The girl nodded slowly. Though asking what exactly he thought was his fault may have been a bit over the line, it was point that would likely remain on Kaiyo's mind for a while.

Guilt was a bit funny like that. Though Kaiyo could really only assume it was guilt, it's what it sounded like to her at least, perhaps not the best of motives but a motive none the less. Protecting someone you care for deeply, for many there were few things more important. The girl's eyes flickered back to reality when Kyo finished, almost as if a light bulb turned on inside her head, she leant back and giggled politely. 'No don't be sorry, it's a good story, it's a nice thought' she added. It was an oddity in society really, when the most common and accepted question was 'how did you die'.
