PostSubject: Kaiyo's Lieutenant Review   Fri Jun 19, 2009 4:44 am

(OOC: erm points in anything except Kidou please ^^)

Kaiyo swung her legs over the edge of the chair; grinning happily over the large desk, at the two quite stern looking women. When Kaiyo was made Vice Captain no-one had even mentioned anything about a review; yet here she was; being tested by two women. The first woman was Kaiyo's Academy teacher; the woman that still managed to strike fear into Kaiyo's eyes with a single smirk; known only as Sensei to the girl. The second woman Kaiyo was fairly certain was a member of the 6th Division; internal affairs.

Both women had jet black hair, Sensei had her slightly messily tied back with strands of hair covering her evil eyes. The second woman had her hair tied neatly in a bun; both women sat in silence for a while, reading. Kaiyo never really got nervous about events; excited definitely but she figured in this review they'd just make sure she hadn't killed anyone.

Sensei looked up from her folder and stared straight into Kaiyo's eyes, 'It says here your regularly visit the 4th division for healing'. Kaiyo grinned akwardly, leaning forward in her chair to try and read the report, 'Are you sure, because it might be a paperwork error; that happened to me before' she smiled. Sensei looked appalled, 'So you don't complete paperwork appropriately either?' she boomed. Kaiyo's face dropped in confusion; she really hated her teacher. Running her hand through the back of her hair whilst smiling awkwardly Kaiyo continued digging, 'No, it just the 12th squad did their paperwork wrong so I sent two of my squad members to fight an Adjuchas'. Both women looked up, appalled at Kaiyo. A slight tinge of panic ran through Kaiyo's body as she began giggling a bit, 'That came out wrong'.

The strange woman stood up from her seat, 'Alright Kaiyo Saiyouko, my name is Naoko; and i will be giving you your first assessment today' The womans face stayed stern as Kaiyo's head lowered, 'This wasn't the assessment?' she moaned.

Noako stood in the middle of the field with a stopwatch and clipboard, 'You will go on my whistle' she called, Kaiyo nodded over to the scary woman. The task had been quite simple; she had to kill as many hollows as she could in 5 minutes; a steep increase for her vice captain test, but Kaiyo had been allowed to release her Zanpaktou this time. The sharp whistle came as Kaiyo unsheathed her Zanpaktou. The 12th squad had arranged for real hollows this time though but Kaiyo wasn't too bothered. Leaping into the air Kaiyo's Zanpaktou began to glow its usual electric yellow as she grinned along with the rush of energy and power that came with her shikai release. Noako stood below Kaiyo scribbling down on her clipboard. Waving slightly Kaiyo flash stepped backwards; turning as she went to slice her Zanpaktou through the first hollow's mask as it's roar faded Kaiyo spun her Zanpaktou down by her side and turned around; she was surrounded.

Letting out a small sigh Kaiyo decided she'd wait for her attack; red lights formed all around her, growing larger and large Kaiyo stood in the centre smiling. As the cero's were shot forwards with a mighty crash of energy Kaiyo flash stepped back to the ground, 'Denkou Kabe' she called happily; staring up as the golden energy erupted from the ground and shot upwards into the sky, destroying about 6 hollows at once. Kaiyo quickly took her Zanpaktou out the ground and flash stepped straight into the sky again. Spinning forwards Kaiyo landed a heavy swipe down on another hollows mask, not wanting to be a sitting target Kaiyo continued to flash step around her opponents.

The hollows seemed to be never ending, Kaiyo wiped a few beads of sweat from her forehead as fifty more hollows leapt forwards at her, Kaiyo's breathing had become heavier, she had only been hit twice, one cut along her arm and a large punch into her side. Kaiyo thought for a while; she needed to get rid of the hollows at once, without using all of her energy and in a way which didn't take so long. Kaiyo smiled as in idea dawned on her. She released all of her reiatsu; not holding back any of it; the golden energy spun around Kaiyo like a hurricane; sparks flying excitedly around her. The hollows turned at the small girl with joy, they loved a large reiatsu. Kaiyo's muscles twitched before she flash stepped straight down to the ground. The earth cracked slightly under the pressure as Kaiyo landed, she waited for the hollows to get closer. Sticking her Zanpaktou into the ground Kaiyo stared straight ahead in focus; her energy seeping out around her she threw all her might into this one attack, no holding back.

'Chouwa no Tomoshibi' she called triumphantly. A golden perimeter appeared around the hollows as the pure energy shot upwards with crashing and thundering; the hollows were destroyed within a matter of seconds. The golden light surrounded Kaiyo, still holding onto her Zanpaktou she flowed her energy through it, forcing it along her blade; as some of the hollows tried to escape the light Kaiyo pushed harder as the radius increased around her, encompassing all the hollows and engulfing them in the golden light. The electrical sparks flying Kaiyo's head was down, her body shaking slightly. As the golden light faded Kaiyo grinned, not a single hollow left; turned her head slightly to look over to Noako Kaiyo fell to the ground. Drained of all energy the world around her faded to black.

PostSubject: Re: Kaiyo's Lieutenant Review   Fri Jun 19, 2009 4:03 pm

Kaiyo was woken with a cold blast of water; shivering slightly she looked around the room for the source of her annoyance. Sensei she smiled weakly. Kaiyo guessed she was in the 4th squad barracks; she'd woken up there enough times to recognise the sickly smell of bleach. Noako was sitting in the corner, still scribbling down on her notepad, 'So how'd i do?' Kaiyo smiled over to the woman. Her smile was practically shot out of the sky by the cold glare of Noako. 'Well assuming you had squad members with you; they probably would have all ended up in here with you'. Kaiyo dropped her head slightly and replied with a weak smile.

'You have five minutes to meet me in my office'. Kaiyo gave Sensei a loose salute as the woman vanished out of the room. Kaiyo fell backwards onto her pillow, lying there for a few moment before her brain registered her next task. Leaping desperately out of the bed Kaiyo grabbed her Zanpaktou and her headband as she skidded round the corner and began running, 'Her office is like 5 miles away!' she called. Kaiyo had always had a lot of respect for the 4th squad; they always healed her quickly and efficiently; and she usually got a lollypop afterwards. Kaiyo was surprised at how energetic she felt; usually she would be a lot more tired; shrugging of useless thoughts Kaiyo continued to flash step to the office.

Kaiyo's flash step was quite fast; but she still doubted her ability to get to her Sensei's office in time, but so far she figured her assessment couldn't go much worse; so blind optimism lead the way. Tying a headband around your forehead while moving at high speeds is surprisingly difficult; Kaiyo moved the headband then flash stepped, the red ribbon covering her view just long enough for Kaiyo to collide with various 4th squad members; tumbling through the small crowd Kaiyo flash stepped onto the closest rooftop, 'Sorry' she called behind her. Headband now held at her side in one hand Kaiyo sighed heavily as she realised she was travelling through the second squad practise area. Continuing on her route and deciding it was the fastest way Kaiyo saw Shinigami appearing behind and around her. Her face screwing up in annoyance Kaiyo saw the glimmer of a weapon flying towards her; tilting her body to the left to dodge the attack Kaiyo figured she had about 1 minute left. Still flash stepping over the rooftops the small girl landed one flash step as a small group of three Shinigami appeared in front of her at the same time. Not even pausing for thought Kaiyo had little choice but to leap over the group; followed by a flash step of course.

Skidding around the corner and pushing off from her right hand Kaiyo leapt through her Sensei's office happily. The woman slowly looked up from her stopwatch and looked blankly at Kaiyo, 'When you enter my office you knock first' her voice hollow as she pointed to the door. Kaiyo clenched her fist s she stormed out the door and slammed it behind her, knocking loudly in annoyance. There was a small silence before the woman called, 'Enter' Kaiyo strolled through the door and slumped down on a seat. She was still wet from her rude awakening only now she was very out of breath as well; panting still, Kaiyo glared into the eyes of her enemy. Sensei glance between the stopwatch and Kaiyo, 'You were 15 seconds late' she said coldly. Kaiyo had never been an angry person, but for the she-devil that sat before her she was willing to change. Leaping out of her chair as she slammed a fist down onto the Sensei's desk Kaiyo yelled, 'That’s because you made me bloody knock!'.

The womans facial expressions didn't change at all; instead she leaned backwards ans sighed, 'Kaiyo Siayouko do not assume you are beyond punishment'. Kaiyo honestly believed if given the opportunity she would have killed that woman; the rude infuriating woman who always found something wrong about the small blonde girl. Kaiyo stayed standing her fist throbbing slightly from hitting the desk so hard, but Kaiyo refused to move it, it was a symbol of fighting spirit; or at least that was the excuse. The woman rolled her eyes at Kaiyo and stood up, 'Very well you have just increased your number of tasks to two' the woman smirked down at Kaiyo. It was almost like a bomb went off inside the girl's head; blinded with rage she flash stepped to right in front of the woman, 'What the hell! You have no right to do that.' the rant continued, 'And god only knows why they chose you to carry out this assessment because seriously someone shoved a stick up your ass and you got angry at me for it!'.

Kaiyo's mind returned with a sheet of white; she paused her anger changing rapidly to fear as she unclenched her fists and smiled weakly, 'I, erm, sorry', Kaiyo bowed her head in apology and awaited the rebuttal. 'Very well; one task of my choosing to be completed fully by the end of the day or i shall personally see to it that you are removed from your current position as Vice Captain'. Kaiyo bit her lip in anger; she had never been so uncontrollably angry, few people had ever seen Kaiyo mad and she liked to keep it that way. Kaiyo was known for being happy and friendly but there was something about this woman that made something inside Kaiyo snap and break out. Reverting back to a fail-safe Kaiyo looked up slowly, her deep blue eyes glinting in the light she said sweetly, 'You like nice today Sensei' much more of the response that would be expected from the small girl.

PostSubject: Re: Kaiyo's Lieutenant Review   Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:56 am

Kaiyo glared into her Sensei's eyes; only she would rest Kaiyo's future as a Lieutenant on the many aspects of combat she was worst at. Kaiyo sighed over to her Zanpaktou, her eyes practically bearing a whole through the scabbard and onto the blade. What kind of evil woman doesn't let a girl fight with her Zanpaktou Kaiyo wondered to herself as she stared over to her teacher; the wind obscuring her vision with rustling leaves for just lo9ng enough for the woman to disappear. Kaiyo's eyes bulged as she was propelled forwards after a brutal kick to the back of her knees; tumbling head first through the grass Kaiyo jumped up angrily; grazes covering her head and arms. 'What the hell was that!' she screamed. A light bulb exploded in the blonde girl's head; a sudden realisation of why this woman made her so angry, she was exactly like Tenrai!

Kaiyo exhaled a large amount of air; her temper boiling high she really needed to keep to cool. Sensei strolled closer the small girl; the sun glinting of her evil brown eyes. 'So to make things clear; all you have to do is beat me in a fight, without using your Zanpaktou'. Kaiyo titled her head slightly, raising her hand, 'So how does that prove I'm a good Vice Captain?' it was one of the few times Kaiyo had ever asked a question just to annoy someone; she grinned happily as Sensei looked as if she was about to explode. 'Because if you can't beat an academy teacher I'll have you sent back here until you can!' Kaiyo stopped smiling.

The faint chirping of birds was heard from their arena, Sensei had chosen the arena closest to the academy and already a small crowd was forming. Kaiyo stood upright and scratched the back of her head, biting her lip slightly she nodded over to the teacher, 'Fine fine; just let me say start' the woman placed both hands on her hips and laughed with as much bravado as possible with human lungs. Kaiyo rolled her eyes slightly as she grinned, she now at least had an advantage. Kaiyo flung her body backwards; arms flailing around in panic she cowered behind her own arms. Once more the woman laughed over at the girl. Kaiyo screamed over to her in desperation, 'No way! If i'm not allowed my Zanpaktou your definitely not!'. Once more an evil laugh thundered across the arena, 'One task Kaiyo Saiyouko, of my choosing'even cowering behind her arms Kaiyo could hear the lady smirk.

A thought appeared in Kaiyo's head; her single advantage; starting the fight. Kaiyo shuffled in her position, directing her reiatsu towards her feet, but releasing the rest of her spiritual energy at the same time to not make it too obvious. Vanishing from sight Kaiyo flung her leg straight at Sensei's head, with any luck it would knock her out completely, 'Go' she smirked at the woman. Kaiyo's face dropped as the woman spun round quickly and clamped her hand onto the girl's leg, 'oh dear' she called as she was tossed quickly into a nearby tree. Kaiyo bumped down to the ground her advantage completely gone desperation and doubt quickly took over.

Kaiyo stumbled around to get her footing right. Feeling a flash of air speed past her she turned quickly to receive a Zanpaktou swinging down quickly through her shoulder; Kaiyo flash stepped backwards as she felt the cold blood pouring down her shoulder. Small droplets falling quickly onto the green blades of grass below her. Sensei appeared in front of her this time, releasing a quick barrage of attack and slashes. Kaiyo leapt backwards panting heavily; she had been cut along her forehead and in various places along her arms and legs; along with a hole above her right hip. Kaiyo's vision was blurred with the blood streaming along her head and over her eye, beads of sweat rolling down her body, in some cases diluting the deep red blood that covered her. Kaiyo's head was down, the fight hadn't been going for long but already she was in bad shape. Trying to keep her eyes on her Sensei Kaiyo winced in pain once more as she felt the cold swipe of metal travelling through her chest, far to close to her heart. Kaiyo coughed a splatter of blood as the Zanpaktou was withdrawn from her body, the blood seeping into the grass slowly Kaiyo fell to the ground. Here eyes still glaring up at the lady; she cleaned her Zanpaktou on the grass before calling over her shoulder, 'Don't start fighting soon and you might die' the words rang through Kaiyo's head, setting off alarm bells as it went.

Desperation fighting determination, Kaiyo's shaking blood soaked hand grasped onto the ground as the small girl slowly got back up to her feet. Anger bubbling inside her she forced herself to be stronger; to bear with the pain. With no taunting of power from others Kaiyo's resolve to win this fight alone rushed back with her power. Energy from her core unlocking itself and engulfing her body her a golden energy that filled her senses. Kaiyo's thoughts cantered around winning, I need to be faster. I need to be stronger. I need to have more power her face blood soaked and determined; a deadly combination.

Kaiyo felt the surge of energy along her nerves, the twinge of electricity running along her. Kaiyo vanished from sight, sending a double kick at the back of Sensei's knees, flipping backwards on her hands Kaiyo smirked at the shocked expression of the woman. Lunging forwards once more Kaiyo forced her spiritual energy along her hand this time, getting close she ducked under a horizontal swipe from a Zanpaktou; pushing forwards with a powerful punch to the woman's ribs. Kaiyo didn't stop there, her energy still spiking she flash stepped to behind her enemy. A powerful roundhouse kick aimed at her head knocked Sensei tumbling sideways. Kaiyo landed carefully on the ground; a small puddle of blood appearing when she stood still. Electrical sparks flying in the excitement of battle; spinning rapidly around the girl. Kaiyo waited for her Sensei to stand back up, she loved fighting, but she'd win with honour. The woman stood up and placed her Zanpaktou over her shoulder; a taunt. Kaiyo could still feel the buzz of power prickling her nerves; throwing all of her energy to her feet she focused; she'd attack from the front and succeed by being quicker than her opponent; or at least that was the plan. The electrical yellow sparked around her feet; the light growing brighter and brighter; Kaiyo kept eye contact and kept her focus.

Vanishing quickly from sight Kaiyo appeared right in front of the woman before she even had time to move her Zanpaktou from her shoulder; throwing three punches straight into the face and the others into the gut Kaiyo leapt backwards as her teacher curled forwards in pain. The golden light still rapidly spinning around her Kaiyo stood still; her wounds getting worse by the second. The teacher looked up with blood pouring down her face from Kaiyo's attack, 'Well done Kaiyo Saiyouko, you may go'. Kaiyo didn't move; her energy erupted in her anger, 'Just like that?! Just because i was winning' the words tumbled out of her mouth before she had enough time to take them back. The woman sheathed her Zanpaktou and vanished from sight, completely gone, Kaiyo spun around quickly to search for her then a hand grabbed her wounded shoulder. Kaiyo screamed in pain at the pressure being put on her wound, falling down to her knees she clenched her fist to try and stop herself from crying. 'My task Kaiyo Saiyouko; just be lucky I ended it here' The woman let go of the barely conscious girl and strolled off, Kaiyo sighed heavily as she lay on the grass.

The once soft green blades of grass had been coated in a thick layer of blood; a puddle surrounding the small girl as the world faded to darkness.
