(Sorry I have been gone so long from this thread Ryouta....haha. Fighting style please. Tell me if you don't like anything in this post Ryouta. I was kind of trying to emulate your style of posting here, but I'm not sure whether I overstepped the boundary or not.)
Kaito looked at his blade that was being held within the sharpened claws of the 2nd squad lieutenant with a sincere look of reverence,
"Ryouta-kun...is it really okay for you to be taking every fight in such a lax manner?" he asked the shinigami in front of him. Although he had done battle with the lieutenant before, Kaito could still not quite understand the easy manner which the young soul in front of him seemed to approach every fight with, but after a little thought Kaito decided that it was pointless to try and figure out such things. Firmly planting his feet in the ground in way that Ryouta wouldn't be able to tell that there was change in his distribution of weight Kaito readied to make his move,
"You don't honestly think that just because you are covered in claws that I can't touch you, do you?" Kaito asked his eyebrows deepened in their frown. Just as he could see that Ryouta was preparing to answer either one or both of his questions Kaito flicked his blade towards himself with surprising strength that even he hadn't been prepared for,
"I...have gotten stronger?" he wondered. Ryouta's body came flying towards Kaito and the young shinigami pivoted on his left foot in a turn while keeping his eyes locked onto Ryouta's body sailing through the air.
After he had locked on to the spot he had been looking for Kaito planted a kick in the chest area where there was space between the spikes that had now erupted from Ryouta's armor, but as the lieutenant was about to fly backwards he grabbed a hold of one of the spikes and pulled the lieutenant towards him once more.
"Just because you are from the second squad doesn't mean that you are the only one to have a good sense of the Hakuda fighting style..." Kaito whispered as he gathered reiatsu into his hand to avoid it being cut by the spike he was holding. At this point Kaito had allowed his blade to fall to the ground for the moment so he still had his left hand free as he held the lieutenant by the spike of his armor with his right hand. True to the title of being lieutenant, Ryouta threw various combination of strikes at Kaito, some of them drew blood, but Kaito simply gritted his teeth and chastised himself for becoming complacent while he gathered reiatsu into his left palm. After sustaining several flesh wounds at the hands of Ryouta's claws, Kaito let go of Ryouta allowing him to drop towards the ground only to drive his left palm directly into the underside of the lieutenant's chin where there was no discernible defense.
The blow that landed was a painful one as far as Kaito could tell as blood erupted from the lieutenant's mouth as if it were a volcano, but Kaito knew well that the lieutenant wouldn't lose to someone who had yet to release his shikai so he readied his stance in case the lieutenant prepared to strike again. Quickly grasping his blade as the lieutenant's body struck the ground with enough force to make it bounce it into the air once more, Kaito waited for the lieutenant to make his next attempt at victory on Kaito,
"Sorry Ryouta-kun..." he whispered into the windless confines of the barrier around them.
