Jin's eyes slowly started to register that light had ceased to shine on them the pitch black that engulfed the hazel optics beneath acting as a wake up call. His muscles rejuvinated from a rest of unknown legnth he slowly sat up trying to workout what the time was and how long he'd spent unconcious, his gaze rose to see the still ticking metronome the antagonized winds never ceasing to torment this grassy plain, it was a mystery to him how in conditions like this the chill hadnt frozen him by now but he had to guess that was just another of the many perks to having already died.
the memories of his erlier failiure slowly flooded back to his conciousness harsh reminders of his futile attempt at Kidou, but he couldnt leave it like that even someone like him with his laxadasical attitude couldnt end a training session in failiure if nothing else it would crush his pride as a man...no he would have to re-attempt this, this time it would end in the glory of success.
his pushed himself up on legs that felt more like jelly than flesh, he had to assume that that collapsing in that crumpled heap hadnt helped his blood flow much leaving him now with an unstable set of limb's, which really begged the question now that he was dead did he even have a blood flow and if not then what other differnces where there clearly he had blood as he'd bled but what about atery's and if he ate too much would he clog them.......hmmm could a deead person suffer a heart attack. DAMMIT distracted again not the best start to his re-attempt, that was it no more foolishness he'd have to take this serioulsy. beside it was way past his bed time he wanted to get this over with the intoxicating prospect of sleep beckoned.
he jumped backward a strenuous action that took an unforseen toll on his newly awakend muscles epspecially in the leg department where they nearly gave way. He glared at the swinging metrnome staring down his innanimate enemy willing it to become trapped within his coming spell. he looked down to see the scroll with the incantation written lain dormant just as he'd left it, once again he held his palm up to face his swinging opponent. The words of the spell coursing through his thoughts.
"Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!"
the words of the incantation once more bursting from his lips
the warm feeling of his reiatsu flowing out coursing down to stoke the embers of the proceeding spell. But even as his reiatsu built he could already feel it was futile, there was just no sustanance to it, it didnt feel right it was just a hollow shell of the potent weapon it should have been.
thoughts of faliure drenched his conscience a dark depression began to seep into his soul.
"lazy......useless.......wasteful......weak..." all the insults he'd endured over the years, all the words he'd shrugged off so eisily now came back to haunt him never seeming more true. NO this wasnt going to be it, there was no way he was going to prove those idiots right, yes he was lazy but he would show them that even he could achieve levels of strength that others could do no more than dream about. A new found conviction coursed through his body infusing every fibre of his being with inspiration. He was a man who'd be a Captain for him a level nine bakudou was nothing.
It was almost as if his reiatsu itself had become excited by this new torrent of emotion as it flowed though him, the spell was almost weaving itself he could feel it forming he wasnt even going to need the incantaion.
the reiatsu built in his palms faster,thicker....more potent.
and there it was that blissfull redl ight had once again formed above the metronome its warm paralysing glow dousing the swinging pendulum no longer at the itchingly slow crawl Jin had experienced erlier. as it reached toward the ground Jin could feel the reiatsu pouring forth from him but it mattered not he had enough to spare this was just a stepping stone on his path.
There it was the metronome fully ensnared by his trap even in the howling torrents of the night's gale the shiny tool moved not an inch. Pride filled him he'd succeded where all other's had expected him to fail, he'd acheived something great and it felt magnificent.
