| Unlike other aspects of fighting, kaiyo had never had an interest in Kidou, she had always seen it as a form of cheating, mainly because she was utterly useless at it. Regardless of this fact, she had to learn Kidou, if only to scrape a pass in it. the girl actually very little about the demon arts, but she knew how hard it was to learn spells and say them in the right order; while focusing. Never one to think only of her faults Kaiyo came to her Kidou lesson in a relatively posivite mood, the only way to be improve was to work hard, a concept she was good at. 'Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! Truth and temperance, strike but slightly your claw upon this wall which feigns ignorance of sin.Hadou 33, Soukatsui!' Kaiyo's hand began to glow a electric blue and a large shot of spiritual energy fired from her hand, the immense pressure made her fall to ground, missing the target with her Hadou and nearly cutting another student in half, the regretfel student should have known better than to stand in front of a novice, luckily for them the teacher was at hand to block the attack. The teacher stopped their talking and walked over to Kaiyo, 'That was good' she helped Kai back to her feet, 'now you just need to keep your stance, the most important part of a fight is your stance, it structures all of your attacks'. Stance, now that sounds familiar, the voice in Kaiyo's head laughed sarcastically, Kaiyo ingonred the voice and nodded back at the teacher, 'Thanks, i'll try' she smiled weakly. Concerntrating on the target and focusing all of her remaining energy on getting the right words, keeping her palm flat, keeping the right stance and showing that annoying voice in her head, that she wasn't completely incapable.'Oh ruler, mask of flesh and blood, all creations of the universe, fluttering of the wings, ye who bears the name of man! Truth and temperance, strike but slightly your claw upon this wall which feigns ignorance of sin.Hadou 33, Soukatsui!' the blue flash exploded out of Kaiyo's hand, but this time she was ready, she kept her feet steady on the ground and breathed out with her attack. The attack rocketed towards the target knocking out the two next to it as well, possibly less energy needed for the attack next time, but an overall succes. Kaiyo could feel the eyes of her classmen watching her, some in appreciation for her hitting the target, some in mocking for her hitting three, and some in anger for the young girl hitting the target, the stares were irrelevant; except those of the girls friends, she grinned wildy and began jumping. Another low point for Kaiyo, not realising how much energy she had put into her large attack, she collapsed onto the ground. Kaiyo awoke in the medical room, her teacher over her bed, 'That was a good lesson today, keep going like that and you'll have the hang of it in no time' . Kaiyo definately preffered this teacher, she felt a small tinge of pride at the reminscing thought of her mighty attack. After a little bit of rest, and a big dinner, the girl would be fine and ready to go again. |

| Her next lesson was Kidou, Kaiyo had been hoping for another Shunpo lesson all week, but her timetable promised one for tomorrow. One single thought was going through Kaiyo's mind as she strolled slowly to her Kidou lesson, don't collapse again.'Today class we're going to be learning quite a difficult technique, but seeing as this is a higher class, i'll assume you can all handle it'. Kaiyo had always like the thrill of achieving a challenge, and today was no different. Murmours began spreading across the class, the funniest comment on the sybject was spoken by a noble, Well i should expect so too, i am perfectly capable of more advanced spells, he spat out his words, as if no-one else deserved to hear them. Kaiyo giggled slightly at the boys answers and turned to him with her reply, why don't we all just try our best and see how it turns out, Kayo smiled neatly at the boy, who she was certain just raised his nose at her. The teacher began clapping to get everyones attention, Alright, alright, we all know your a capable set, so why don't we try Bakudo 9, please get in paris and use the handouts given. Kaiyo turned to ask someone to be their partner when (and this came as a large shock) that same noble boy put his hand on her shoulder and said, I think it would be best if we paired together. Sure thing, the girl replied happily, do you want to go first?. the boy simply passed her the sheet with the incantation on, My names Akira, and you Kaiyo Saiyouko.Kaiyo giggled nervously as she ran her hand through the back of her hair, he knows my name!. erm..hi then Akira, its nice to meet you, lets do this then. The excitement became too much and Kaiyo couldn't help but grin, learning a new spell and practising it on a 'worthy' opponent. Kaiyo stood opposite Akira, she readied her stance, quickly memorised the incantation and focused, Disintegrate, black dog of Rondaniini. Look upon your burning soul and sever your throat.Bakudo 9, Geki. A red light shot from her hands and englufed the boy, completely paralyzing him, unknown to the pair the teacher had stopped the rest of the class to witness the spell. Kaiyo cheered at her success and spun round, stopping in her tracks at the sight of her entire class watching her, the teacher began clapping, And that class is the successful use of the spell, well done Kaiyo. The success rate of the girls Kidou had increased dramatically, and in the most ironic way, the class Kaiyo originally had the least interest in, had turned out to be one of her best. Akira didn't seem to impressed but she was sure he would put all his effort in to paying her back, for she was sure he would blame her for the spectation of the entire class, a factor she had not anticipated. She didn't care much for Akira anyway, she had seen him pushing past others in the corridor and being generally rude, she just hoped he would stop before he moved into her, she didn't take kindly to bullies. In her overall success at the academy so far Kaiyo had decided top focus on her currently, 'weak' (to say the least), shunpo. but for that she had a whole new plan of action, it was at this thought the girl herself was surrounded by the familiar red light. i'll let him have it, she thought to herself, trying not to move. _________________ thebleachworld.darkbb.comI close my eyes, slip into a wakeless dream and let the feeling wash over me as my heart begins to change. | Uniform Hado, the destructive spells of Kidou were being used in ranks and rows, each row of five would perform the spell aiming for theit trget then sit down and await theit next turn. In Kaiyo's opnion such an amazing spell should not have been so regulated, however she was begininning to learn that few teachers at the Shinigami academy cared for her opnions. So far not a single person had hit their target; one special boy had managed to hit his friend; they were both now in the medical centre. Kaiyo lay down in her row, lying sleepily under the sun she felt quite relaxed this was until her teacher started yelling at the young girl trying to enjoy a snooze, 'Kaiyo, do you not want to take part in this lesson, because i'f you'd prefer i can give you an essay to write instead' The teacher bellowed along the row. Kaiyo stood up quickly, laughing nervously and running her hand through the back of her hair (also a nervous trait of the girl) 'Sorry sir' she called down. By the time Kaiyo had gotten up to perform her spell the rest of her row had already failed and returned to the back of their queue's. Kaiyo rubbed her hand over her face and tried not to screw up, she stood with her feet evenly apart, one arm outstretched, the other bent with her palm flat and she called out the incantation, 'Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south,Shakkahō!' A ball of red light began to gather at in front of Kaiyo's palm, she was unsure how long to hold it so she turned towards her teacher for help, 'Don't point that thing at me!', he didn't help at all. She decided that a sensible middle ground would be useful, she held it for a second longer then let it shoot off, Kaiyo missed the target, but she did manage to destroy the wall behind her target. Kaiyo looked at the wall for a moment, puzzled, she tilted her head sideways and continued looked, before spinning round and announcing to the class, 'I guess i need to work on my aim', she strolled back to her row, smiling at the stares from her classmates. Possibly more practise needed. _________________ thebleachworld.darkbb.comI close my eyes, slip into a wakeless dream and let the feeling wash over me as my heart begins to change. | Kaiyo had never expected to be the best at Kidou, she decided early on at the academy that she would focus here energy on more important aspects of fighting, such as speed or sword skill. However it took a while for Kaiyo to admit that Kidou was an important aspect of combat, and a useful tool, despite how little she wanted it to be. Kaiyo had a plan, she would master the easy effective spells of Kidou and not attempt the harder long incantation ones. The girl had done her research and had with her a list of all the spells she wanted to learn or rather master. It was a Sunday and while most students stayed in bed relaxing all day, Kaiyo had training, she had stuffed all of her sheets into her bag, along with her small bottle of water and she had brought her Zanpaktou just in case, she also liked the weight of it at her side. The final object in her bag was quite unusual, it was a small training dummy the girl had bought last week. Kaiyo had decided to go to her shunpo field again, she felt calmer there than she would have had she chosen the academy training grounds. The sun seemed to be shining down extra bright today, it filled Kaiyo with confidence as she jogged her way to the field. Kaiyo reached field and slowed her jog to a stroll, she walked to the middle of the field and put her bag down. She pulled out the small training dummy and after some assembly, put it a few paces away from where she was standing. Kaiyo pulled out the first sheet from her bag and decided she would try without the incantation, what was the worst that could happen? 'Way of destruction 1, Shō!' Kaiyo called, with her feet steady on the ground and her palm out flat. At first nothing happened and Kaiyo re-read the sheet. She was determined to do the spell without the incantation, she focused her mind and energy to the flat palm of her hand and called it again, 'Way of destruction 1, Shō!', this time Kaiyo was thrown backwards, she rolled across the hard ground moaning in pain, 'How does that even happen?'. Kaiyo got up slowly, rubbing the leg she had landed on. She frowned and returned to her first position. This time making a conscious effort to attempt to throw her energy at the target dummy (who at that moment appeared to be laughing at Kaiyo), 'last time or i give up' she said emptily knowing how stubborn she was. 'Way of destruction 1, Shō!' this time the dummy was pushed back a few metres, but for Kaiyo's plan to truly work she would need the full effect of the spell, she continued with this spell for another hour until finally in her last attempt of shouting 'Way of destruction 1, Shō!', the practice dummy flew backwards in the air. Next spell, she smiled to herself with a little bob of head. 'Way of binding 1, Sai!' seriously what the hell!screamed the girl after once again she was propelled across the floor bumping her bum along the ground until she stopped. Kaiyo stormed over to the practice dummy and kicked it in the head, it felt good. She took in a deep breath and tried again 'Way of binding 1, Sai!' The dummy's arms inched sideways for a moment then stopped. Kaiyo had little patience for Kidou and now she thought she had cause for hating demon arts. She shut her eyes and imagined the tide coming in and out, with each time the tide came in she focused more of her energy on to it, she opened her eyes. 'Way of binding 1, Sai!', the dummy's arms were thrown behind it's back and Kaiyo held it for well over ten minutes. She giggled slightly as a though popped into her head, practising was like using shampoo, 'For best results, rinse and repeat'_________________ thebleachworld.darkbb.comI close my eyes, slip into a wakeless dream and let the feeling wash over me as my heart begins to change. | (OOC: thanks Elven^^ you give me the nicest comments; okay so this post is going to really be well just plain awful but i just need one more point for v/c, *winks*) Kaiyo was bored, again. It was freezing outside and she had just finished a day of lessons, she tried to think what she had learnt in the day but it all just blurred into one and she couldn't remember. Never one to give up so easily Kaiyo decided to try a bit harder and at least learn something by the end of the day. Kaiyo put on a very large coat to protect herself from the cold and she walked outside with her hands holding tightly onto a sheet of paper she had taken from her last Kidou lesson. Kaiyo found a small target at the far end of the practise arena. Kaiyo sat down and huddled into a small ball, she re-read the her sheet and sighed. She did remember this Kidou lesson. Kaiyo had never had much success in Kidou, but she had usually managed to avoid showing the class her worst attempt by practising in between classes. Before her most recent lesson however Kaiyo hadn't done any practise and she was very tired. Trying not to think to much about her failure she simply made a mental note, when using Kidou spells do not sneeze while casting. Kaiyo shuddered at the memory as she stood up, determination written across her face as she called, Hadou no. 4 Byakurai!, a few small sparks fell out of Kaiyo's fingertips, she dropped her shoulders in disappointment. Kaiyo tried again, staring directly at the the target and shouting the spell louder (like it would a difference), this time a bit of lightning shot from Kaiyo's hand, at first it was looking quite strong, until it fizzled out and was just a small puff of air by the time it reached the target. Kaiyo frowned and jumped up and down a bit to get the blood pumping again. After a bit of stretching she tried again, focusing and yelling at the target, Hadou no. 4 Byakurai. It missed! she yelled. Kaiyo was very annoyed, she decided a bit of anger therapy would help, so she drew her sword and charged for the target, after a few minutes of angrily stabbing the stupid target Kaiyo continued her spell. Kaiyo focused her mind and energy at the attack, Hadou no. 4 Byakurai!. The lightning shot from her fingertips and hit the centre of the target, at the same time Kaiyo flew backwards into a tree, she got up slowly and frowned, 'Close enough' she called on her way back inside. _________________ thebleachworld.darkbb.comI close my eyes, slip into a wakeless dream and let the feeling wash over me as my heart begins to change.
