Sekkou and his companions exited from the Garganta and glanced around at the destruction around them. They were standing in an enormous crater in the ground that had been caused in the subway accident that had evidently occurred sometime recently. More importantly, each of the Hollows could sense the multitude of Pluses there were to devour and take energy from.

"Go." Sekkou and his companions headed out into the destruction. Sekkou came across the souls of businessmen and businesswomen, of children, of the elderly. Each soul he came across he consumed without mercy and with maximum efficiency, so as he would gain power as quickly as possible.

A blip of unusual strength in a Plus registered on his “radar.” Sekkou chuckled and bounded toward it. Among the smoking ruins, he found the soul of a woman who was clutching a baby close to her. No wonder her soul felt so strong- her love for her infant was causing it. It would be such pleasure to destroy that and take the power for himself. Sekkou appeared out of the smoke like a specter of pure evil; he was practically glowing with malice.

The woman screamed and clutched her baby tighter to her chest. She turned and ran. Sekkou laughed and ran after her, easily catching up to her with his long stride. His arm swooped down and snatched her up, baby and all. She struggled uselessly for a moment, and then tearfully screamed and begged him to take her and spare the child.

Sekkou laughed. “But in your bond lies your power. Consuming you without your child…that would be pointless. Your fates are sealed.” He brought them to his mouth. “But I will grant you a quick and painless death. Stare in the Abyss and let the darkness take you.” He swallowed the pair whole and felt the immediate increase in his reiatsu. “HA!”


Here is a brief description of Sekkou and his companions.
Sekkou has the ability to become invisible for short periods of time as well as the ability to gradually heat something up to intense temperatures with his smoke-like breath. His hands are dagger-like claws.

Sogekihei- Long and lean like Sekkou. Has a mask sort of like a cobra's. Has a long barrel-like left arm that can fire Balas and Ceros and a right arm that has a sort of carapace over it so it's like a blade. Skin is a dingy brown. Skills would be in kido mastery. Fairly slow, average spirit power, fighting skill is below average, unless from a distance. Speaks with an Australian accent.

Sukauto- Considerably shorter than both Sekkou and Sogekihei, but same build. Skin is a grayish hue. Mask is like a mesh covering his face. Has an oversized right hand to crush with and a left hand that can fire many Balas at once. He is faster than Sekkou, but he has low spirit power, decent fighting skill, slightly below average kido mastery. Speaks with a Boston accent.

Kougakusha- Slightly shorter than Sogekihei. Stockier. Skin is a dingy orange. Mask is like a hard hat and goggles with one of those blast shields on it. Has four pods on his back which apparently he can shoot off and will form into turrets that ostensibly shoot reiatsu pellets. Perhaps with practice they could shoot Balas or better? Below average fighting skill, average spirit power, decent kido mastery, below average speed. Speaks with a Texan accent.

Bakuhatsu- Same size as Kougakusha, similar build. Dark brown skin. Mask covers his entire head and left eye. Looks fairly strong- can shoot out explosive cylinders from his mouth. Decent spirit power, below average speed, average fighting skill, average kido mastery. Speaks with a Scottish accent.

Kuro was hunched in a low standing position as he observed the situation from the shadows. He had been instructed to accompany Saroki on a mission to the world of the living as a real life experience of what Shinigami did. He watched as the hollows moved through the subway picking out the pluses with the highest energy levels. He double checked his own reiatsu, making sure that they would not pick up on his own prescence.

As he watched, Kuro noticed the cruel behavior of Sekkou towards the woman and her baby. This evil act made Kuro extremely uncomfortable and he had to take a deep breath to maintain control on his hidden energy. Acts of blind rage would do nothing good when the opponents were 5 hollows. He waited for Saroki to decide their move. She was part of the gotei, something he expected to be soon, but for now their response was her decision.

Saroki never liked being paired up with people, but since she heard Kuro was going to join the S.W.A. she didn't mind, Saroki cheered next to Kuro, her spirits high as usual. She was looking forward to a good fight, she watched as the hollows poured through the Garganta, such a sight almost made her cry out of joy. After all she enjoyed combat, Saroki let lose all of her reiatsu, stirring up debris near her, a malice grin formed on her face, her eyes then focusing on Kuro, "I hope you don't mind my direct approach!" She yelled out, seemingly taunting Kuro.

She didn't seem to mind much that the woman and her baby died, she didn't really notice it either.

Saroki then ran forward towards the hollows, she picked out Sekkou to be her first target, as Saroki neared Sekkou she jumped high into the air, she then started to fall towards Sekkou, as she was about to hit Sekkou she uchieved her zanpakuto and attempted to thrust it into Sekkous upper back.

Sekkou whirled as soon as he felt her increased reiatsu. He brought his claws together and caught her blade. "So unsubtle- the mark of an unintelligent warrior. You will cook alive!" He breathed smoke on her. The smoke was unnaturally hot and seemed to get hotter and hotter as more of it expelled from his throat.

Two of Sekkou's companions- Bakuhatsu and Sukauto appeared at his side. "I see you've caught yerself a careless lassie and roastin' her. Nice work there." Bakuhatsu's Scottish accent sounded amused.

"What makes ya think she ain't got some trick up her sleeve?" asked Sukauto. "Shinigami are tricky little bastards. And I bet there's another one with 'er."

Sogekihei and Kougakusha were nowhere to be seen; perhaps, as they were perhaps more indirect fighters, they were hanging back.

Kuro sighed as Saroki charged in and got caught by Sekkou's counter attack. Knowing that their presence was revealed, he figured that he had better help her. The problem was the other hollows that were with him.

I'll startle them with kido and attack the leader in the confusion.

Kuro quickly moved closer to the hollows as Sekkou continued to breathe smoke on her. He leapt out of the shadows as he let loose his reiatsu and aimed a kido at the group.

"May the black sounds of those that have felt death emit and destroy! Hado #7: Black Thunder!"

A black wave of spirit energy burst from Kuro as he flew toward the hollows. It washed over them with a slight smothering feeling and a roaring sound that echoed off the subway tunnel's walls. He landed in between Sekkou and Bakuhatsu. He swiftly drew his zanpakuto and slashed at Sekkou's wrist, hoping to break his hold on Saroki. At the same time, he pointed his right index finger over his shoulder and took aim at Bakuhatsu.

"Hado #4: White Lightning!"

A concentrated bolt of lightning shot from Kuro's finger heading for Bakuhatsu's head.

Saroki laughed at Sekkout, "You think a little smoke will hurt me!?" She yelled at the hollow, the smoke kept heating up, slowly burning Sarokis flesh. Two more hollows appeared beside Sekkou, hardly fair, but it wouldn't matter for long. Kuro attacked the group of hollows using Kidou, Saroki pulled away her left arm, aiming her palm at Sekkous hollow mask, Hado four, White Lightning!" She yelled at, a large bolt of reiatsu shot out from her palm towards the hollow. Saroki then started to pull her zanpakuto out of Sekkous grasp.

Saroki regained control of her zanpkauto, she then jumped down onto the ground. Saroki dashed forward towards Sekkous legs, as she passed Sekkous right leg she attempted to slice into his right foot, she then changed directions and headed for his left foot, as she passed Sekkous left foot she attempted to slice into it. If any of the attacks hit Sekkou it would leave a large gash on his ankle, her goal was to unbalance Sekkou, Saroki ran a few dozen feet away, prepareing for another attack.

Sukauto was easily able to dodge the kido attack because of his superior speed; Bakuhatsu had a more direct approach. He coughed out a small cylindrical object from his mouth and it hurtled towards the black thunder. As the two connected, the cylindrical object exploded with surprising force. The force was sufficient to sort of split the spell around him, so although the attack threw him back, Bakuhatsu was able to minimize the damage he might've taken from the kido spell.

As soon as he felt the kido spell coming, Sekkou let go of Saroki's sword and jumped above the smoke that Bakuhatsu had caused with his explosion. It took just a second of time, but he became invisible. Knowing that it would only last eight seconds (and that he could not attack while invisible), Sekkou quickly decided to move several meters to the right, become visible again, and fire off a quick round of Balas into the smoke.

Meanwhile, Bakuhatsu had fired off several more of the exploding objects in a wide circle around him to try to fend off further attack as he ran to escape the smoke cloud. As he did, he saw a bolt of white lightning heading for his head. Luckily for him, it seemed the Shinigami had forgotten Sukauto, who ran in front and actually punched the bolt with his overlarge fist. There was another explosion and Sukauto flew back, his fist blackened, but otherwise seemingly unharmed.

"Ya owe me one, ya hear?" Sukauto called to Bakuhatsu.

"I've only got one eye, what the hell d'you expect me to do, see everythin'!?!" Bakuhatsu yelled back.

Anyway, Sekkou jumped back to dodge Saroki's wild slash at his ankle, though he did receive a relatively minor cut, it didn't particularly matter that much. It affected his speed a little- but speed wasn't how he won his fights. At least, not yet. "Cover me, Sogekihei!" he yelled. As if he himself had triggered it, a flurry of Bala hurtled toward Saroki from a point a good 300 meters away. Sekkou began charging a Cero at the tip of his finger as he kept it pointed at Saroki. "Die!" He released the Cero.

Kuro had to thank his talent of speed for his continued life. Sekkou's balas that had burst through the smoke caused by Bakuhatsu's explosion had been heading right for his stomach. A quick slide to the right had kept him in one piece, but with a slight gash in his torso that was slowly leaking blood. Lucky shot. As the smoke began to clear, he heard the shout from the lead hollow and saw the responding balas shooting towards Saroki.

"Watch out Saroki-san!" Kuro yelled as he sprinted forward, using his spirit power to adequately boost his speed. He ran over to the spot Saroki stood at and swept her up, thankful that she was so light. The bala released by Sekkou an instant later exploded at the point she had been previously standing. Kuro set Saroki down after the shots stopped and tried to figure out how to beat this talented group of 5 hollows when he didn't even have shikai yet.

"Saroki-san, you'll have to try and deal with these three for a moment, I'll head back and distract the supporters."

Kuro sprinted as fast as he could, heading for Sogekihei and Kougakusha, dodging a few more attacks that they shot at him. He sped up past Kougakusha's side and slashed his sword all along his stocky body as he passed him.

Kougakusha let out a short bark of laughter as he spun and allowed Kuro's sword to slice open one of the four large spherical pods on his back. The pod fell to the ground and split open, revealing a little white tripod mounted nozzle/barrel type thing with an eyeball on it staring at Kuro. "Time to tear you a new behind!" Kougakusha laughed as the thing began firing reiatsu pellets at Kuro.

Meanwhile, Sogekihei pointed the "barrel" of his left arm at Kuro and began charging a Cero. He released it and shouted, "Thanks for standin' still, wanker!" Kougakusha's other three pods launched off and formed a sort of perimeter around the three. They too began to fire at Kuro.

Kuro saw the devices as well as Sogekihei's cero. One of the pods had landed in front of him and caused him to pause in his dash for a second. He spun around and leapt up high to dodge the cero, wincing a bit in pain from his wound. From above, he held his hand out towards Sogekihei and cast a bakudo to seal his attacks for a short while.

"Bakudo #1: Sai!"

Sogekihei's arms (all Kuro cared about was his left) were suddenly bound behind his back by the spell. As Kuro began to descend from his leap, he cast another kido for increased offense as well as defense.

"Burn of the blades that have been lost! Hado #8: Blade of Flames!"

A red blade of condensed, heated spirit energy stretched from a mass of energy originating on Kuro's balled fist. Using both his zanpakuto and this new weapon, he deflected most of the reiatsu pellets being fired from Kougakusha's turrets. Some got through his defense and tore tiny holes in Kuro's body. Not serious, but could prove fatal if he didn't continue blocking them. He reached the ground once again beside Kougakusha and spun on the spot multiple times to continuously lacerate Kougakusha's body. He ended his assault with a quicker leap that sailed him over top of Kougakusha's head so he could throw a cross slash attack with both blades at Kougakusha's mask. He landed and jumped a couple more yards away from both hollows, feeling that Sogekihei's seal was reaching its limit.

Saroki grinned, she was use to taking large amounts of damage, plus, it seemed the hollows wher not as fast as she was, she was suprised when Kuro swept her off her feet and brought her to safety. Saroki blushed slightly and sighed, "You don't need to help me..." She muttered to Kuro, Saroki started running towards the three hollows as Kuro said.

Saroki then turned to Bakuhatsu, sprinting towards him, gathering reiatsu at her feet to boost her speed. She was begining to fight seriously, she ran staright for Bakuhatsus right leg, attempting to cut into his ankle. Saroki then jumped into the air, grabbing Bakuhatsus right shoulder, she then attempted to thrust her blade into his shoulder. She then jumped behind Bakuhatsu and unleashed a barrage of slices into his upper back, her zanpakuto was a blur as she kept sliceing.

she then jumped high into the air, she carried her zanpakuto in her mouth and aimed both of her hands at Bakuhatsu, she gathered up her reiatsu chargeing up for a kidou, "May the black sounds of those that have felt death emit and destroy! Hado Seven Black Thunder!!!
" She mumbled, a large wave of black reiatsu falling down upon Bakuhatsu, attempting to hit him.

ooc: it's hard work, but it's kinda fun rp'ing all these Hollows. i'll start with Sogekihei and Kougakusha

Sogekihei grunted in surprise as his arms were bound behind his back. He struggled against the invisible bonds for a bit, and then turned and ducked his body so that the muzzle of his left arm was pointed at Kuro. "I'm not stupid mate." Another Cero shot forth from his left arm at Kuro.

"Haargh!" Kougakusha grunted as his body was cut several times. "I'm not one for fightin'..." He attempted to duck and dodge from side to side to avoid getting hit. Other than his turrets, he didn't seem to have any other abilities. As Kuro launched himself above him to slash at his mask, Kougakusha revealed that he could fire Balas from his mouth, and did so in a desperate attempt to avoid Kuro's slashes. His Balas proved sufficient a distraction to avoid the slashes.

Now the two Hollows found themselves facing Kuro as Kougakusha's turrets continued to fire. "I think he'll tire out mate," commented Sogekihei. "But let's just make sure eh?" He began charging a Cero in his left arm. Kougakusha responded by charging his own Cero in his mouth.

"Dodge this, wanker!" said Sogekihei as they both fired their Ceros at Kuro.

ooc: and now for Sekkou, Sukauto, and Bakuhatsu's perspectives

As Saroki rushed at his leg, Bakuhatsu spat out several of the exploding cylinders to try to fend her off. However, she continued to charge him despite the explosions around her.

Something of a berserker I see... thought Sekkou. Anyway, Bakuhatsu managed to dodge her slice at his right ankle. As she grabbed his shoulder, he yelled, "Gerroff me, wench!" and tried to fire a cylinder at her, though he missed and got stabbed in the shoulder. As she began her slicing at his back, Bakuhatsu dove blindly forward to avoid the slashes.

Sekkou took his place and began using his arms and tail to block and deflect the slashes. As he blocked, he aimed retaliatory swipes of his claws at her arms and shoulders. This continued for a few frenzied seconds, and Sekkou braced himself for the right moment. It came! He jumped and swept his tail out in an attempt to knock her flat. The attempt failed- she jumped up and launched a kido spell at them.

At this point, two things happened. One, Bakuhatsu spat out several explosive cylinders to counter the spell from behind Sekkou. And two, Sukauto appeared behind Saroki and pointed his left hand at her. It fired off five Balas at once; Sukauto wasn't finished. "Hit the bricks pal, you're done!" He twisted in midair and punched down with his overlarge right fist. (picture Hellboy's fist)

Saroki didn't notice, but it had seemed she suffered from a few gashed in her arms, she sneered and ignored the pain, the seven explosive cylinders hit the kidou spell, the kidou disappeared in a large smoke cloud left behind by the cylinders. Saroki cursed out, she could hear a hollow behind her, she spun around quickly seeing Sukauto. Saroki blocked the first four bala with her zanpakuto, though the fifth shot straight through her, a large stream of blood poured out from her wound. Saroki clinched her teeth in anger, now she really wanted to kill this hollow, the large rock-like fist attempted to slam into Saroki.

Saroki attempted to thrust her sword into Sukautos arm, Sukauto and Saroki both began to fall, Sukautos large fist slammed into Sarokis fist, sending her flying down to the ground, she held her zanpakuto tightly. Saroki safely landed onto the ground, she stood up and gasped for air, she looked up at Sukauto, ready for another attack.

Sukauto laughed happily as he saw his Bala connect; he laughed even louder as his fist sent her flying. "Yo, did ya even see me hittin' ya?" He taunted her as they both touched down on the ground.

"Fine job," commented Sekkou. "What say we end this quickly?" Sekkou began charging a Cero at the end of his finger. Sukauto began charging one on his left hand, and Bakuhatsu revealed he could charge one at his mouth. All three of them fired their Ceros at Saroki. As they watched the roiling smoke, all three commented.

"The outcome of this confrontation was never really in doubt," said Sekkou.

"Eat it bitch," said Sukauto.

"Ye great lactatin' wet nurse, who's laughin' now!!?!?" yelled Bakuhatsu.

ooc: i wonder if Sal won't like Bakuhatsu and his Scottish-ness? anyway, kido, if at all possible

Kuro acted fast as both hollows fired their attacks. Maintaining the flame sword was eating away at his energy anyway, so he tossed it straight at Kougakusha's mouth emitting his cero. The sword made the cero explode prematurely before it could reach Kuro, negating most of its effect. Immediately after throwing the sword, before seeing its success, Kuro sprinted to the opposite side of Kougakusha and concentrated his energy even further. Raising both hands, he tried a new approach. To beat a hollow, sometimes you need a hollow's power!

"Hado #1: Thrust!"

Kuro's spell pushed Kougakusha to the spot that Kuro had been standing at when both hollows fired their attacks. He didn't have much longer until Sogekihei's cero hit him, and Kuro wasn't willing to leave him a possibility to dodge it. He pulsed out his reiatsu in a sudden burst that seemed to stall out two of the closer turrets, as well as weigh down on Kougakusha. Kuro focused on maintaining this level of pressure until the cero made contact. It wasn't likely to kill him, but on top of the slashes Kuro had put all over his body it should knock him out of the fight.

If this knocks him out, surely his turrets will lose their ability too. Then I'll just have to deal with megaman over there.
