"What!?!?!?" Saroki's voice echoed through the halls of the academy, Saroki had been paired up with Kuro Crowe for a mission, Saroki couldn't belive it. "Damnit this is just like last time! Only this time your pairing me up with a weakling!" She yelled out in pure rage, "Calm down! You might not know this, but Kuro is a genius in Kidou, and this mission is too dangerous to send you in alone. Kuro has already been briefed on the mission, you will find him at the Onose River in Karakura Town. The man handed Saroki a scroll which she angerly took, stomping out of the building. Saroki had been doing some research on Kuro, she had found few pieces of inofrmation on his past, but the few pieces she managed to find wher dark, she almost felt sorry for him.

Saroki hated being paired up with people, partly because of them constantly getting in the way, and partly because they seemed to always end up dead after the mission. Hopefully Kuro wouldn't end up dead, Saroki soon made it to Onose River, it was quiet, almost peaceful. You wouldn't think the place was home to a fireworks festival, Saroki sat down on the grass, "That idiots late..." She muttered to herself, "Probally off experienceing the human world...." She said sighing a bit. She wouldn't blame him, the human world was amazeing. And after getting use to the soul societey, the human world was like a wonderland... Saroki layed down on the grass looking at the sky, white puffy clouds wher everywhere.

(OOC: lol kidou or intellect! I mean hey.... How practical is he using the Kidou XP he makes it useful in everyday life XD)

Kuro peeked out of the river at her. She probably thinks I am late... Kuro crawled out of the river onto the bank. He lit a small Crimson strike in his hand and waved it over his clothes using it to dry them. He saw the girl and smiled, "Heeeeey Saroki!" Kuro walked over to her excitedly. "It's me the boy you sparred!" Kuro laughed again excitedly, "You are the one I am partnered with. Thank god... I thought it was going to be a stranger...." Kuro sighed, "I mean hey.. Would you want to trust your life in the hands of a stranger? No..." Kuro looked at the scroll, "Hmmm... wonder what the scroll says.." Kuro lowered his right hand. "Way of destruction #8 Blades of Flames!" A small flame sword the size of a letter opener appeared in his right hand. He raised his hand and used the letter opener to cut open the scroll. He unwound it, "How much of the mission objectives do you already know?"

Saroki noticed Kuro comeing out from the river, The hell? He's using Kidou as a blow dryer!? She frowned at him. Saroki listened to him as he talked, the boy was too cheerful, a malice smile appeared on her face, "You will probally end up dead anyways..." She said, laughing a bit. Now he's using Kidou as a letter opener....Son o a.... Saroki sighed, "I don't know anything..." She said, her eyes tearing up as if she was hurt. The scroll read Saroki, their has been appearances of menos grande in the nearby area, I know you aren't probally strong enough to defeat one all by yourself, thats why I sent Kuro, but besides that, this mission is only to confirm that a menos is in the area, DO NOT ENGAGE THE MENOS GRANDE The words 'DO NOT ENGAGE THE MENOS GRANDE' writen down hard, as if it wher important. "So what does it say?" She said, a bit of curiosity in her eyes.

Kuro nodded as he read the scroll. "....They don't trust in us..." He sighed solemnly... "We need to find Menos grande, that are possibly in this area.... and do not.. attack them..." Kuro looked down. He wanted to leave the last part out. Kuro shook his head. "It's best you don't read the rest." Kuro knew it would be a bad idea to let her know they thought she would need him. Kuro looked at her and sighed, "Well ready to go out and search when you are."

(OOC: You know using kidou in practical ways is pimpin. <.< I am like blow drying, Letter opening, magic man!!!)

Saroki sighed quietly, menos grande? She had faced one of those before, they wher rather powerful, ten times more powerful than any other normal hollow. Saroki stood up and walked near the river, she then gathered some reiatsu on her feet and stepped onto the surface of the water, she then walked acrosss the river, she then started walking into the forest, [color=darkred]"I sense reiatsu from this direction..."/color] She said, her voice boring as ever.

Kuro nodded and began to following her across the water, "Lead the way then." Kuro nodded as he followed her. I have the strangest feeling that she does not me that much... I agree...

Saroki quickly turned and started walking into the forest, Why the hell was I paired up with Kuro... She kept pondering to herself. She put her thoughts aside and tryed to find trail of reiatsu, Saroki stopped, she could feel reiatsu all around her, wher hollows nearby?

Saroki unchieved her zanpakuto, but their wher no hollows in sight, suddenly a garganta opened, two hollows jumped out of the garganta, and it soon closed. "Looks like we have company..." She said to Kuro.

(Kidou!!!!)

Kuro raised his arm to the side. "Way of binding #12 Ambush Flare!" The tread of the kidou dropped from the palm of his hand. He grabbed one end and began spinning it more and more. Thread slowly got longer and longer. He threw the thread towards the hollows The tread wrapped around the hollows. Kuro yanked the thread towards them and shot a Crimson strike at the end, causing the thread-like lasso to burn.

The hollows turned towards the two roaring angrily. "You can have one, saroki." Kuro jumped up aiming his hand at the hollow flying towards him. He waited untill the hollows mouth was over his hand. "You want to eat something? Then eat this! Way of Destruction #4 Pale lightning!" A white lightning bold shot from his fingers into hollow. The hollow howled and backed away from him.

Kuro landed on the ground looking at the now enraged hollow that was flying straight at him. Kuro aimed his hand once more and waited, gathering energy as he waited. When the hollow was close, "May the black sounds of those who have felt death emit and destroy! Way of Destruction #7 Black Thunder!" The black wave of reiastu shot from his palm and engulfed the hollow.

((OOC: Speed or intel please.))

Saroki growled at Kuro, I will let you have one? Bastard... She grumbled to herself as Kuro and the hollow fought. The other hollow jumped out at her with incredible speed, It's that hollow again! The hollow had a slender build, very short, it had two sets of five claws, she had fought a hollow like this before, but she wouldn't think a similar hollow would exist.

The hollow attempted to slash it's claws into Saroki, she quickly blocked the attack with her zanpakuto. Saroki used the same attack she used for Kuro, she positioned her zanpakuto diagonally in front of her and pressed herself into the hollow distracting it. She then extended her left arm towards the hollow, grabbing the hollows head, "Hado three crimson stri-" She was cut off by the hollow pushing Saroki away with both of it's hands.

Saroki jumped back a few feet, it looked like she was going to have to use a different strategy.

Kuro laughed triumphantly. "No issues at all... No issues at...." Kuro stop turning to see the hollow standing there as the smoke cleared up. The Lion like hollow growled angrily at him. "You are kidding me right?" Kuro said with a hint of fear. "What he hell are you?" Kuro began to tremble, the books made regular hollows seem like weak creatures. Yet, It has taken all of these blows, ones that could take down some shinigami. Boy, this is a hollow more advanced that the usual ones. "I think I have figured that much out..." Kuro ran to him shoving his hands into the hollows eye sockets. "Way of Destruction #4 Pale lightning!" The white lightning bolts shot from both hands, one into each eye. The hollow fell over, slowly beginning to fade away. "Heh... I did it.." Kuro turned to Saroki to see how she was handling hers.

Saroki rushed towards the hollow, "Bakudo one, restrain!" She yelled out as the hollows arms wher forced behind it's back, Saroki was now in attack range, she lashed out her zanpakuto in an attempt to destroy it's mask. The hollow roundhouse kicked the zanpakuto, sending it flying out of Saroki's hands, she gaspped and jumped back a few feet, the hollow desperately trying to break free of the kidou spell. Damnit, I don't have any time for a incantation! "Bakudo five, guard!" Saroki's hands suddenly glowed with kidou energy, Saroki rushed towards the hollow, as soon as she was in range for an attack she hurled her right fist in the hollows mask. The hollow jumped high into the air avoiding the attack, as the hollow was in the air it broke the kidou spell, it's claws/hands now free to move.

"Hado seven, black thunder!" Saroki yelled, a black wave of reiatsu rushing up towards the hollow, Hado eight, blade of flames!" Saroki's left hand formed a fist as a blade entirely made of flames appeared, Saroki grabbed the blade and waited for the hollow to land onto the ground. The hollow crossed it's claws together and blocked the wave of black reiatsu, it then landed onto the ground, a malice smile was wiped across Saroki's face.

"Hado two, reel!" The hollow was pulled closer to Saroki, she ran towards the hollow, as she became closer she threw the fire blade towards the hollows chest, the hollow seemed to be too buysy trying to regain it's footing, the blade of fire piereced the hollow, sending blood everywhere. Saroki stopped holding her left hand in a fist, "Hado three, crimson strike!" A red ball of reiatsu charged in her hand, the hollow tryed to recover from the blade of fire, Saroki rushed into the hollow, grabbing the hollows head with her right hand. Saroki then released the kidou from her right hand, the energy beam completely destroyed the hollows head, mask and all.

Saroki halted as the hollow disappeared, she grabbed her zanpakuto, chieveing it. "Well that was rather quick...." She said walking away, deeper into the forest.

Kuro shook his head while watching her. "I think I finished mine to quick... You did yours with style." Kuro laughed, he was really enjoying the mission. "Did you know this is my first mission, and my first time fighting a hollow." Kuro said as he teased her. "Does this make you dislike me more?" Kuro said lightheartedly said, to let her know that he knew. "I have already let me... and my past wife die... I won't let anyone die again... Not under my watch." Kuro stared at her seriously. "So you know you can trust me.... " Kuro turned away, while pushing his glasses up back into the correct position. "So, where to next Saroki-sama?"

Saroki didn't like Kuro's attitude, "Shut up....You aren't suppose to be enjoying yourself, this is serious..." She said, her voice cold. Saroki turned around, a heart pierceing glare thrown into Kuro, "What makes you think I dislike you....Yes I know about your history...." She said, again her tone cold, Saroki and Kuro fought for entirely different reasons, hers to gain more power, and his to protect people. "What does trust have to do with anything...." She laughed a bit, showing off a twisted side.

Saroki turned around and started walking, "If their is a menos in the area it's because their are hollows in the area, if a menos was around I could feel it, which I don't. But a menos could appear anytime, using a garganta to gain passage into the human world. We just have to wander for awhile untill a menos shows up.." She sighed slightly, she hated waiting around, especially if it concerned a mission.

Kuro sat down and let out a long sigh. Hehe, Boy... She does not like you.. It is highly amusing really... "Well I am glad you are enjoying that fact!" Kuro spat out. Kuro sighed and leaned back on a tree. "What is wrong with you?... Why are you such a downer all of the time?..." Kuro looked at her seriously.

Saroki halted, "A downer?......It comes with the job..." That is all she could come up with, "We are complete opposites you know.........Now hurry up and follow me, I have the feeling a menos will show up sooner than I thought..." She said, showing no emotions. She sighed slightly and started walking, with or without him.
