(Kajitora is in a virtual reality simulator that is used in Squad 12 for training. He has set the training device to a medieval time and asked a certain squad 12 member to add fantasy elements. This will be used for points later, since Kajitora is actually performing the movments and spells within a protected simulation room.)
Kajitora was riding to Wulfheim, a port city, with his Knight master Suzaku. His Master and himself had been commanded by their order, the Order of the Scale, to protect the last of the Aquatic Elves from a hidden kingdom named Eizia. The Order was hoping that the Eizian would come to Sara, the knight’s kingdom and negotiate the elf’s information on an evil black dragon in exchange for the knight’s protection from evil. The Order of the Scale was an order devoted to regulating the population of Bronze Dragons and using them in combat against evil. Besides from being one of the few females in the Order of the Scale, Kajitora’s Knight master was rumored to be the only Knight that was not a Head Master but had a mature-adult dragon. Kajitora like most knights of the sacred order loved his master, she was kind, gentle, and had an animal affinity even with powerful beasts like dragons; but she was also focused, determined, well versed in battle and intelligent.
He watched her red hair shimmer in the sunlight, as she rode in front on her horse: Serptine. Kajitora followed closely behind her, his armor and knight’s gear packed neatly on the side of his horse: Burmer. Eventually the two reached the town of Wulfheim, the port city that immediately looked like it was ridden with poverty. All the buildings were made of cheaply constructed wood, all except the castle of stone in the distance behind the serf lands and the port. Suzaku was the first to dismount, as she leapt from her horse. She was almost as tall as her horse, and taller than Kajitora who dismounted as well following the lead of his master. Her caring blue eyes swept over Kajitora to make sure he was still okay to continue travelling and then showed him a brief smile before heading in a specific direction. Over her shoulder she told her squire where the two were heading, “We must find a Tavern, The Naked Gnome I believe it is called. There we can have our horses tended to at their stable as we meet the Eizians inside the establishment.”
“Do you think the Eizian will tell us about the Black Dragon: Saint Shade?” Kajitora asked as he looked around at the low traffic streets which only had poor beggars lining it, his dark eyes and hair seemed to be the only things in the town that reflected light.
“I believe they will. From the odd way that they are acting and how strangely they contacted the Order, I must come to the conclusion that something horrible and evil draws near to them and clings to their very shadows.” Kajitora nodded in agreement with the deduction, it was extremely peculiar for elves to ask for the help of humans even if they were knights. They came upon the tavern, looking at the odd sign hanging over the front door: it showed a knight holding up a naked gnome by the back of his neck. The knight and the squire exchanged glances and giggled at the implications of the sign. As the two handed over their reigns to the waiting stable boy, Kajitora thought that he was in his fifth year of squirehood. Soon his master would take him on a quest to slay a mother Bronze dragon and it’s baby would be raised and loved by Kajitora as the two destroyed evil together. He looked forward to having his own dragon, first because he and his master could fly together through the air on their dragons once he acquired one, and secondly it was a symbol of him becoming a full-fledged member of the Order and a real Knight not just a squire.
The two entered the tavern full of humans, elves, gnomes, and dwarves. They looked around for the Eizia aquatic elves, hoping that they would find them without incident.
