Ryouta sat in a quiet place that he had found in the middle of the forest. The only sound that could be heard was the occasional twittering of a bird. He sat cross-legged with both of his ninjato across his lap. Ryouta closed his eyes and reached out to Raikou Arashi...
He opened his eyes to find himself back on a familiar savannah. "Raikou Arashi!" he shouted. The air itself seemed to shimmer, then the imposing figure of Raikou Arashi (a humanoid, muscular albino lion wearing samurai armor, just to recap) appeared in front of him.
"Yes, Ryouta?" He rubbed his face with one of his massive paws. "What is it?"
"Nothing really. I just wanted to spend some time with you, that's all," Ryouta explained.
"Is that so? Well, what is new?" Raikou Arashi asked.
"Well, first, I'd like to comment on how you never use contractions in your speech," Ryouta said. "It's cool, but why do you do it?"
Raikou Arashi looked surprised. "You always ask the oddest questions...I do not know, really. It just feels strange to shorten the words. It is as if I am cheating them."
Ryouta raised an eyebrow. "That's a cool little idiosyncrasy- anyway, I was going to say that I've graduated from the Academy. Now I'm in the 11th squad, but I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to transfer out soon into a squad more to my liking."
"You would probably be better off like that," Raikou Arashi observed. "Tell me, Ryouta, do you think we have a better relationship now than when we last met like this?"
Ryouta scratched his head. "Yeah, I think so. I love talking about you to my friends, and we get along very well. I can share anything with you."
Raikou Arashi's smile was disconcerting, as it showed a large number of teeth, but it was obviously filled with warmth. "Good. And do you think your power has increased since we last met?"
Ryouta nodded without hesitation. "Definitely."
"And you would be right. You have grown a lot, and I can sense that you have matured much since I first met you. That is why I deem you worthy of learning another lesson from me."
Ryouta nodded enthusiastically. "I'm always happy to learn more."
"You know the meaning of my name, do you not?"
"Yeah, literally Lightning Storm. Trust me, you deserve that name. You're very scary," Ryouta said.
Raikou Arashi nodded his thanks. "Thank you for that. With my guidance, you will learn to unleash the full power of a storm. To do that, you must touch me."
"Touch- touch you?" Ryouta looked confused.
"Yes. Catch me and touch me," Raikou Arashi dropped to all fours and raced off.
Well, ok thought Ryouta. He flash-stepped after him and appeared above Raikou Arashi, and reached down to touch his mane. Raikou Arashi turned and roared in his face. It was as if Ryouta had just been hit with a concrete wall; Raikou Arashi's roar threw him back and he crashed to the ground, completely winded.
"Is that the best you are capable of?" asked Raikou Arashi, swishing his tail in what Ryouta could swear was an amused manner.
"Nah brah, I'm just getting warmed up," Ryouta stood then flash-stepped above Raikou Arashi again. "Bakudo no Hachi: Seki!" The shield appeared in front of him, and as Raikou Arashi turned and roared, it split the shield and threw Ryouta back, but not before Ryouta's hand brushed the very tip of Raikou Arashi's mane.
"Ha! Nicely done, though I would have used a more powerful spell," said Raikou Arashi.
Ryouta mumbled something about not knowing any others.
Raikou Arashi didn't hear and continued speaking. "The ability I teach you now is called 'Banrai' (Heavy Thunder.) Tell me to roar and I will unleash the power of air for you."
Ryouta blinked and was once again sitting in the middle of the forest.

Shikai Ability 2: Banrai (heavy thunder) – With the command “Todokore” (roar), Ryouta can solidify air with his reiatsu and launch/crash it into his enemy. It is akin to getting hit with a concrete wall. He can also solidify the air into a shield around himself and/or allies. Another way this ability can be used is to lift other objects and throw them at the enemy or whatever.

What we have here is Telekinesis mate....I'll allow the Attack and Defensive capabilities but as for manipulating objects i have to say no. (its freaking powerful with just the first two)

However i'd like a further post from yourself of the same quality detailing how your Zanpakuto taught you Banrai.

Raikou Arashi looked down at Ryouta. "All right, this is the basic principle behind the Banrai technique. You solidify air with your reiatsu, then you launch it at your enemy. For now, you will want to use a focus point, like the tip of your finger or something. When I am released, you will probably be best off using the curved hooks as a focal point."
Ryouta nodded his understanding. "So I just pump my reiatsu to that point and mesh the air together so it's solid? Sounds simple enough, at least in theory."
Raikou Arashi nodded and stepped back.
Ryouta raised a finger and began focusing his reiatsu at the very tip. His finger began to glow with his spirit power.
"Careful, you will feel like using Hado#1: Sho, but resist that. Solidify the air," Raikou Arashi commented.
Ryouta closed his eyes and felt air being drawn in to the tip of his finger. He didn't know it, but it was something like a combination of cero in terms of gathering the air, but also like bara in terms of solidification.
"This will be decidedly easier when you're using me, released, but if you can do it now, that's for the best," Raikou Arashi said. "If you can do it now, then you will be able to do it very well afterward."
Ryouta nodded. Sweat was beading his forehead. Air continued to gather around his finger as his reiatsu shaped and molded it, bringing it into a tight roughly spherical shape about 3 times the size of his head.
"Now, release it! Throw it at that tree!" Raikou Arashi bade him.
"Yeah!" Ryouta gasped out. He released his restraint on the ball and threw it. The air exploded against the side of the tree and bark flew everywhere. Ryouta threw up his arms to block the splinters from entering his eyes, then after he removed his arms, groaned in annoyance. The tree looked largely unscathed.
"You need to keep the air solidified. Do not allow it to spread out again. This requires great control over your reiatsu. Try again," said Raikou Arashi.
"OK," Ryouta again raised his finger and pointed it at the tree and focused. Again, he felt the air draw closer and closer to the tip. He closed his eyes and dug deeper into his reserves of spirit power, and mashed the air tight together into a ball, this time 4 times larger than his head. This time, he constructed a sort of reiatsu box around it so that the solid air was trapped. Then he aimed at the tree and let loose.
There was an extremely loud crack, and the tree was essentially blasted out of the ground roots and all.
"Wow! That was awesome, Raikou Arashi!" Ryouta exclaimed. "Thank you!"
Raikou Arashi smiled down at him in a benevolent manner. Or at least, as benevolent as a mouthful of fangs can look. "You are like a child sometimes, easily impressed. I have yet to teach you everything."
