Personality: He is very robotic physically, as he never really moves that much but he is constantly thinking. He is pretty arrogant too, as he doesn’t like to soil his blade against his opponents but would rather use kidou only against people of his level and below. The only time he will draw his sword is if he knows he is about to lose otherwise he will only halfway draw his sword to block attacks if needed. He likes doing experiments and he doesn’t care who they are or what they are doing, his selfishness comes first. And he is very interested in Hollows and doing experiments on them but that won’t stop him from quickly killing one just to examine it. Overall, imagine Mayuri…but looking more human. Creepy.

Appearance: He has brown eyes. Short, spiked black hair. At the tip of his long face is a little beard. He doesn’t wear sleeves; he hates sword fighting with things touching his arms.


Sealed Zanpakutō : A katana with white handle wrapping, the blade is a shiny alloy which makes the blade seem like a mirror. It is the standard size of a Japanese katana. Near the hilt is a hook that he uses to trap swords when he half-draws his sword. In Nikoda’s inner world his sword (Tensugata) appears as an old Asian man wearing monk’s robes. He has long white hair, moustache, and beard. He has no wrinkles and is very wise and masterful at analyzing. Its name Tensugata means God-like reflection.

History/Background: He was alive during the Japanese Meiji era, when Japan was modernizing. With lots of new things coming to mainland, to survive better Nikoda quickly took a liking to tinkering with new things. During his early life he was training to become a monk.

When he turned 18, he decided the world was too beautiful for him to ignore. He turned away from the ways of the monks. Later he wanted to travel to different countries and become a scientist. He died on the boat on the way to Germany.

Every since he came to Soul Society, he began to conduct his own experiments. He does weird things to see how others will react. He has compiled 50+ years of data. And once he becomes accepted into the Gotei 13, he plans on using his kidou in a new experiment...a secret experiment.

Nikoda stood in the midst of several Hollows. His black, spiked hair moving ever so slightly with the wind was the only part of his body that moved. He was completely still in his Shikakushou, which he had ripped the sleeves off of. The Hollows began circling him, but he only smiled because he hated shooting at still targets. By his side was his zanpakutou (Tensugata), the spotless white hilt shined in the sunlight of midday. He thought about his next course of action, he really wanted to use ‘reading lightning’ but he didn’t have the materials for that. However, he could create said materials using another kidou and then use it.

His thoughts were interrupted as all the Hollows lunged at once. He commanded the spiritual energy in his body with an incantation, “Way of Binding #14: Ambush Flare!” He moved forward as fast as he could, and drew Tensugata with brute force, sending the hilt smashing into the face of a Hollow. As the Hollow fell back, Nikoda stepped up onto the Hollow and then kicked off of his failing body making himself airborne. The kidou rope he had summoned followed suit. As he landed, a Hollow’s claw came swiping at Nikoda’s head. He dodged just in time, then brought his sword up from its sheath and let the reflection of the sun’s rays blind the Hollow.

Nikoda ran around the large circle of Hollows, dodging and ducking under all the attacks he could managed to evade. Once he had made it around the full circle, he tied the part of the rope with the other side of the rope effectively lassoing the Hollows. The Hollows were too stupid to mind the fact that they had just been surrounded by kidou rope as another one attacked Nikoda. He simply dodged the obvious assault and then head-butted the Hollow after which he sword never to do again. He commanded the rope to tighten, cramming all the Hollows into a tighter circle each Hollowing touching another. Nikoda smiled wide as he prepared to barbeque the Hollows, his dark eyes appeared soulless.

“Way of Destruction #11: Reading Lightning.”

He placed his hand on the rope and the electrical current surged through the rope zapping each any every Hollow as it traveled from one body to the next. Stupid animals, Nikoda thought, they never had a chance. Though that one with pincers is interesting, I’ve never seen pincers like that on Hollows before. He walked over to the fried body and began to inspect it. He had used all his spiritual energy that he could channel into Kidou at his level, but that was all he needed.
